    "Help would be appreciated; we might as well gather what other resources we might need." The half-elf nodded at the badly beaten Kenku, masking her grimace-- she understood that Berserkers went blind and saw only red in the heat of battle, but thank the gods, he hadn't gone too far so as to get himself or any of the rest of the group killed. All the bruises and swelling on his body showed how much of a fight he put up, and boy, that overgrown bird sure could pack a punch.

    Toothless still couldn't move. This was bad; she wanted to reserve her next Pokemon choice depending on who James would be sending out next. But she didn't want her little baby getting hurt any further. Underneath the dust cloud, neither Liona nor her Trainer could've seen it, but a red beam recalled him to his Pokeball. And just as the Twister hit the dust cloud... Brilliant, disconcerting flashes of light burst forth in dazzling arrays of colors meant to discombobulate the Dratini. A high-pitched giggle, like that of a child in a horror movie, rang through the field as a pair of yellow eyes watched carefully in midair. ((For clarification, I've switched Lucifer in. Chim, if it's against the rules, let me know; I'll make the necessary edits ASAP.))

    Are we allowed to switch Pokemon during battles? I'm thinking of switching out Toothless for another Pokemon while the dust cloud's still intact.

    The ranger merely looked Cookie in the eye as a means of acknowledgement then beckoned Hunter over. "Be on the look out in case any of those bastards return." As the huge wolf moved to stalk the nearby vicinity, nose high in the air, Helzebeth called out to the rest of the group. "Does anybody else need some herbs?"

    The Deino glanced up at his Trainer questioningly. "If you can move, fire a Dragonbreath; if you can't, it's fine. Don't force yourself," she said, with a small, encouraging smile on her face. Toothless craned his neck and took a breath... and blasted out a yellow-purple beam of energy in a last-ditch attempt to dissipate the incoming attack and, Arceus willing, score a hit on the Dratini.

    "Try to get in close and take it before it gets stronger, Toothless!" Bracing himself and managing to fight off the electric shocks, the Deino charged forward and took the Twister soon enough before it got too big. The thing about twisters, Raiza thought, remembering the practice battle with the Horsea, Goomy, and Bidoof, is that they build up over time and distance; but I have to be careful. I don't think Toothless can withstand much more. Not to mention, there's that nasty static in his system now. "All right, before it can get away, chomp down with Bite and fire Dragonbreath!" Unfortunately, Toothless couldn't overcome the paralysis this time; he crumpled to the ground. ((again, I'm just gonna determine whether or not the paralysis takes effect with an RNG))

    Double shoot. But then again-- "Earth Power; knock 'er into the crater with you!" At the very least we'll have our little friend in the crater with us; she can't possibly maneuver out easily, even if it were a bit shallow. With a cry, he slammed into the dirt wall, the cracks traveled up towards the Dratini as it shook, threatening to knock the Dragon type into the hole and possibly a bad fall. Another raspy cry sounded as the Deino bore the whole attack and shook with paralysis. "Sweetie, are you oka-- all right, at least the Water Pulse didn't scramble you!" Raiza said, seeing the Deino not really tottery. ((used a random number generator to determine whether confused or not))

    Ah, shoot. Basically, an electric tornado. "Get out of the way, pon! Make a crater and hunker down so the twister won't hit you," she called to Toothless. The little dragon made a mad dive to his left stomped down again in an effort to make a sort of slanted ditch on the side of some raised ground, crouching down as low as possible to not get hit by the electrified twister till it was well out of the way.

    So this was the Gnoll who ran off, and their friend apparently. The ranger had more questions... but the injured one needed medicine even if Cookie knew healing prayers. "I... know where some medicinal herbs can be found to ease the pain and bruising," she murmured, crouching down to the Gnoll Priest and his friend.

    "Earth Power, pon!" Toothless reared back and slammed his stubby legs into the earth, making it explode in between himself and the Dratini. The wet ground either flew everywhere or stood in uneven places so that the moisture and electricity wouldn't reach the Dark-Dragon type. He pawed the ground in his place, eager to attack. "Best defense is a great offense, innit?" she cried out. The plan, for the time being, was to defend until an opening revealed itself.

    "Huh. No question about this." Out popped a black, fuzzy dragon. Toothless rasped and growled at the Dratini eagerly, issuing a challenge to the Dragon-type. "Oi, friend! GL, HF, pon!" Raiza cried out to her opponent, for the sake of sportsmanship. "Wait for it to strike, sweetie; we've got to finish this, and quick. Focus Howl, pon!" With that, Toothless drew in a sharp breath and shrieked with ear-shattering frequency in an attempt to get the Dratini off guard. But instead of the Screech fazing him afterwards, the Deino seemed more focused, ready to hit, ready to battle.
