  1. Sun and Moon all the way. While Go allows you to play a trainer yourself it likely won't carry any story. The universe that Pokemon is set in and the story behind it is immensely interesting. 1.
  2. I have one that probably wouldn't be a naturally learned move but should be possible and helpful. Breloom with Thunder Punch. This would give Breloom a counter to flying, which it is allergic to. Also, considering that Breloom has punching moves it should be able to be taught Thuder Punch by a tutor.
  3. I play Pokemon because it remains to be a source and entertainment and story. Each game gives so much to explore and there's just so many of them (including fan games such as Reborn). Further than that I've always had an interest in making my own stories and worlds. The world of Pokemon provides a template for further development. I still play Pokemon because my imagination feeds off of the lore and untapped possibilities.
  4. Hello steel type Diance. (Face palms)
  5. I would roll out of bed as a Quagsire. At first I imagine I would crave some water feeling pretty dry. After a couple understandable awkward morning steps I would begin to question my strange form and girth. I would head for the bathroom where I would find out and take at least three double takes (would that be a triple take or sex-tuple take?). Through out the day I might take a bath or two to stay hydrated, eat, and go insane. I would consider it to be a dream at some point. Later I would realize how something like this is just messed up enough to be reasonable. I would probably be checking the media a bit for signs of this being a wider phenomenon. Once I come to terms with the reality of it I would realize how jipped I am. Quagsire? Out of all the pokemon I got Quagsire.
  6. My laptop, a second monitor, pens and pencils everywhere, drawing supplies and post-it notes stuck on anything without a screen featuring random drawings that I've doodled.
  7. I don't know what I would do with each of the new changes but it would be nice to have a Breloom with Thunder Punch. Breloom can get multiple punches but is deadly weak to flying type. If it could learn an electric type move Breloom would be a beast.
  8. Here's a couple possibilities. First up, with way too many eyes, Claydol. Normally it isn't creepy, but when I think about it, that is way too many eyes for one mon. Next, with too few eyes, Duskull. This isn't so much about the fact it has one eye, but that its one eye floats between its two eye sockets. Lastly is the worst of all. It is a mystery yet to be solved and we all know the unknown (not the Pokemon) can be very scary. Give it up to the innocent-looking, horror-concealing mole we know as Diglett (and Dugtrio).
  9. Your space ranger Gallade reminds me of Megaman from the Star Force series.
  10. I don't grow up. My room is littered with toys (mostly Legos) and a shelf full of cartoon shows on DVD (including most of the Pokemon movies). While that aspect is not bad there's more. I've had so much trouble deciding what I want to be that I sometimes forget that I'm supposed to be grown up. Maybe this is natural, but throughout freshmen year of college (two years ago) I couldn't stop remembering how good high school was. I don't want to grow up. It entails responsibility and actually making a life. I'm not good with people so I don't know how I'll make new friends when I graduate (which I imagine is like moving to the middle of nowhere). I don't want to deal with debt and politics and (insert tiresome thing here). That's me, the guy that lives to rekindle the past.
  11. Worst - I failed one of the classes in the major I'm taking back in the Spring semester. I tried to hide it from my parents for a while and things sucked. Best - I got an awesome internship this last summer. I met a lot of awesome people and learned a lot. Also it looks like I'm going to be able to go back again for another internship for summer 2016. Yay!
  12. In Pokemon, has it ever occurred to you that no one locks their doors, ever, and you (the player/protagonist) just waltz right on in. What? It did occur to you? Well, why wouldn't it? Free stuff is awesome and game people are just so generous.
  13. I rename my Pokemon most of the time. I've been playing Pokemon a long time and their normal names gets boring after the third play through. Giving them a unique name helps identify them as yours. I try to give them good names (actual people names or thematic names) and not offensive ones. If I can't think of anything I'll leave them as they are. In addition, I've recently been playing nuzlocke challenges so I am required to name them. It's become a habit.
  14. Finally finished writing up a biography for one of my RWBY OCs that I've been working on for a while.
  15. Unrealistic answer: Sableye. I've grown to love the little guy and think he'd be a nice bud. Realistic answer: Arcanine. I'm not much one for dogs, but this guy has so many things going for him. I live in a region that can get pretty cold compared to the rest of the US so his fluffy fur and fire type would help keep me warm. Also he'd be able to give me rides around to places. He'd also be able to keep me safe and would always be loyal. Only if you consider Arceus a god. I would say no then.
  16. I should've read the topic a little closer before voting. I thought the poll was on Red (as in the Pokemon character) rather than a member of the forum.
  17. It's great seeing things like these wallpapers come out. Will there be a Shade wallpaper sometime (or maybe Radomus)?
  18. I'm a campaigner. If I get a game I will most likely play the campaign and drop it once I'm done. I want to enjoy the story as it is told. If I come back to play it again I'll try to get the most extra stuff done as I can before beating the game.
  19. No. Pulse is a machine meant to force a pokemon to its full potential, much like other devices used in past games/movies (dark balls and shadow pokemon?). If we used a Pulse on our pokemon then we would be the bad guys, using our pokemon as tools. Mega evolution only works with a bond between trainer and pokemon, but the pulse forces the pokemon into a mega-like form against its will. This is not something to use on your pokemon.
  20. I would say Noel, who took me forever and an update to beat, but I'll go with the more recent Ciel. It took forever to finally get my pokes up to snuff and another forever to get a battle where things went slightly in my favor. To top it off after finally beating her I reached the end of episode 15, which made my work almost meaningless. Grr.
  21. The only thing that seems too overpowered here is that the fear condition ups damage from ghosts. None of the other status conditions do that and fear already had a lot going for it.
  22. When I first read your post I had thought you were talking about the event that a player loses and doesn't reset the game, thus I thought your rewording stemmed from when the player blacks out and not when the player consciously resets the game. I'm sorry for the confusion that I caused. I think that your version of the phenomenon is interesting, but I prefer considering the protagonist of the game and the player of the game are one and the same, thus the protagonist is, in my mind, the one who causes the time changes.
  23. Narckarth, what I'm talking about is when you turn off the game, not only when the player loses. At least in Pokemon Reborn, after losing to certain opponents such as gym leaders, they acknowledge you have already tried once when you are attempting a rematch. Also after losing and returning to the PokeCenter the experience your Pokemon gained, if any, remains as well.
  24. I finished Ep15 about a week ago after the agonizing struggle to beat Ciel. When I finally did so I was met with the end of the episode. This being the first time I have reached the end of an episode before the next one is out I felt empty. All of that struggle for nothing. No fly, no return to Reborn city, nothing but grinding time. I will wait for episode 16 and when it arrives it will be glorious. Until then I might have to grind all of my Pokemon up to 80. Ep16 should be out by then. On another note, Ame and the rest of the staff, great job so far. I have greatly enjoyed this game despite the hours of rage, maybe because of it, and eagerly await the changes in Ep16.
