  5. Kindle "You've only know her a short while, I see." Kindle mused. She ignored Alva's question, pressing further with her own instead. "When did you meet her?" Kindle knew she had total control of the situation, the entire room was in the palm of her hand. Kaede's unfortunate roommate had become a sacrifice on the alter of poor location and timing as Kindle flayed her mind with relentless questioning.

  7. Knife Knife helped Arturia get the unconscious Lilith into the back of her SUV, still keeping quiet about what she'd said inside. It wasn't until they were out of the neighborhood that she finally explained herself. "You might have figured out already that Lilith's mother is gone." she said, her tone cautious, "But that's not all. There was a set of pictures on Cora's phone. They showed Lilith and the body of a woman that Cora claimed was her mother. I'll spare you the details, but it wasn't pretty."
  8. Caliko "Well I'm a superhero, I'm supposed to save people." Caliko said with complete confidence, "You're one too, wasn't that why you were there? Though that villain girl didn't seem like the cause of the earthquake, she just makes those weird bubbles. I cut her off from her hourglass and she ran, but I didn't get to check out the crater."
  9. Caliko Caliko understood what Esyllt was up to, but any potential reaction was concealed by her disguise. "Having a partner along for such a dangerous mission would be much appreciated." She said, leading Esyllt out of the room. She walked down the hall towards the vending machine, deciding to stop at the nearest one before heading to the common room for Sharp's request. She didn't say anything, instead waiting for Esyllt to broach the subject on both of their minds. Sharp Once Caliko and Esyllt had left, there was a silence between the remaining roommates as they both retreated into books. They didn't know each other well, and their main shared experience wasn't exactly a positive one, so Sharp wasn't really sure what to say. And he wasn't very outgoing in the first place. But that shared experience made him curious, he wanted to know Platinum better. He decided to start with the simplest icebreaker, asking, "What are you reading, Miss Platinum?" Knife Knife pursed her lips. Letting Arturia handle Lilith seemed like the best call right now, Lilith seemed to trust her more than anyone else, at least. But putting something as volatile as that in a dormitory with many other people seemed extremely dangerous. But she had given Lilith the choice, and it seemed like she wanted to stay, so Knife couldn't well contest Arturia's plan without making herself a liar. "Alright," she said finally, "it's not ideal but it will have to do. It's probably best not to take a train with her like that, I'll drive you." Knife paused, there was just one more thing, but it was a big thing. "Before you take her in, there's something you need to hear. I should probably leave it to Lilith to tell you, but I don't think she'll even admit it to herself. It's a lot to take in, so I'll tell you once we're on the road." Knife cursed herself internally, she'd become a liar anyways. Truthfully, she was only delaying for her own sake. But delay she had done, and so she went to get her car, leaving it to Arturia to bring Lilith out. On the way out, she passed by a struggling Cora, whom Knife had left bound and gagged. She debated leaving the vile woman to rot like that, or even outright killing her. But she resolved to inform the local authorities. She had a contact in the Kayo court system that owed her a favor, Cora would be locked up for a long time. It was hardly what the woman deserved, but she wouldn't hurt anyone like Lilith again.
  10. (OOC: Well, you left Aries's place, hiroki and grima were right outside, so I didn't really have anything to do for you) Arcturus "It would be more accurate to say that he is on my side." The armored man answered the disguised girl. He lifted the rough sword he was leaning against and leveled it towards Hiroki. "If that is a problem, you are free to challenge me now. The arena intended for your tournament fight is still available." Arcturus wanted to give a show of force, hopefully preventing or delaying an attack by the gods. But more than that, he wanted to face his descendant in battle, to see how powerful one could become in the Tempest.
  11. Mika Mika shied away again when Apollo commented on her outfit. Even if it was a compliment, she wished it had gone unmentioned. After listening to Apollo describe the previous night again, she finally added her own words. "You shouldn't thank me." she said, her voice full of reluctance, "I'm glad I could help, and the guy..." A sneer grew on Mika's face and her eyes lit up with rage, but it quelled as quickly as it came. "That guy was a bad guy. But I didn't do anything, that person isn't me. Not that I'm two people, I just hate being so angry. I hate hurting people, even bad people." she looked like she was about to cry, "I really don't want thanked for that."
  12. Yoshirou Yoshirou was disappointed with what he found as he rifled through the various desks. It was mostly just random junk: personal affects, instruction manuals, a map. None of it much help. He was frustrated when Maridox walked in, twirling the keys he'd failed to find. She'd catch more than a hint of a scowl on his face when he turned to face her in the dimly lit room. "That's good." He said, shifting to a more positive expression, "I didn't get anything, was looking for those." He laughed self-deprecatingly, trying to diffuse the tension he was sure his initial scowl had caused.

  14. Today is not a good day. Nor have the past several been so

  15. 0% interested in Pokémon, but if the rp is interesting enough of its own accord I'll still poke at it
  16. Oi, welcome back. Don't think I need to plug the rp community to you, so I'll spare you the canned greeting, info is in my siggy anyways if you care If you're willing to own up to your own mistakes instead of trying to pass them off on other people, then I'm willing to forgive you for them. Just don't expect redemption until you actually show some change With Hope, Lexi
  17. Honesty and don't be pushy. Tell her the truth, you're not interested in the slightest, and let her make her own descision on how to continue. If she's only in on romance, then that's how it is, don't try to force a friendship that isn't there. And I'd really recommend not calling it the friendzone, the friendzone is something people get stuck in and try to break out of.

The last one wasn't quite as bad, though I did have to switch the the animation-free one on occasion

Just generally hate that we do animated banners without a way to switch them off (save for last update having a totally different theme, which I guess is better than nothing). Really there's no reason for it outside a bunch of unnecessary lag and a little bit of novelty for the first couple days of an episode release

  22. Mika Mika jumped slightly when her guest sat on the couch with her. She subconsciously scooted away from Apollo, and then consciously scooted away from her. She felt very vulnerable, after all she was still in her nightgown. Suddenly, she stood up. "I'll be right back." She said, and practically ran to the bedroom. It didn't usually take her very long to get dressed in her day clothes, but her nerves told her to take as long as she could. She was too frantic to just fake taking a long time, but instead found the hardest clothes for her to put on. She dug her old forest clothes out from the back of her drawer and put them on. She didn't wear them as often anymore, but it was still a comforting familiarity that she liked to experience every once in a while. She also felt a lot more confident about fighting in them if it came to that. Eventually, she peeked back out of the room. She belatedly realized that Apollo would find her new outfit weird, but she had already revealed herself. Feeling a little embarrassed, but less so than in her nightgown, Mika returned to the couch. She sat there in silence, waiting for Apollo to say something, or leave.
  23. Felicity "Oh, it doesn't matter." Felicity brushed off Lulu's question, "Where are you from? You have any family? A boyfriend? Girlfriend? Any pets?" Felicity stuffed the remains of her pizza down her throat, the speed with which she downed it nearly as impressive as the amount of tomato sauce on her face. She wiped her face with a napkin and tossed some questions to the other two girls as well. "Do you enjoy your life? Do you have any hopes or dreams?" A pen materialized in her hand from seemingly thin air and she started writing furiously on the tablecloth. "What are you giving up?" It took a moment for any of them to realize exactly what Felicity was writing. At first it seemed like a random collection of numbers, but to each a few numbers would jump out at them as not random, but specific dates that were important in their lives. While they were all still confused as to how and why Felicity knew the significance of each date, a list of names was added beside it, each one relevant to the date they were attached to.
  24. Mika Mika's response to the second knock was a sort of muffled squeak. She listened to the woman's explanation, and did remember her from the previous night. She nervously got up and went to the door, feeding herself deep breaths as she approached it. She opened it again, and hid all but one eye behind it again. "I'm sorry, I'm not usually like that, I swear." She apologized sincerely. It was unclear whether she meant her reaction to the knock or the events of the previous night. Mika still wasn't totally convinced that the woman wasn't going to murder her, but after opening the door again, she didn't think she had a choice but to let her in. So she undid the chain and opened the door. "You can come in if you want." She then retreated back to the couch and curled up in front of the TV again, cuddling her legs and leaving her guest to make themselves at home.
  25. Caliko "Well, we can talk about all that more later. Right now, I could use a snack." Caliko said. In moments she was dressed in her street clothes, complete with mask and sunglasses. "We can't go into town, so it's vending machine time. You guys want anything? If you say no I'm getting you celery sticks." Though her face was concealed, it was pretty clear she was smiling as she tried to avoid laughing at that statement. Sharp seemed equally amused, much to the newcomers confusion. "If you don't mind running by the group lounge, I'd like a cup of chicken soup." Sharp said. "Ah, a stealth mission, I see." Caliko answered in a devious tone, "Sending me to the microwave at this time of day, you truly have it out for me, don't you Mr. Dog?" "But of course, Miss Cat. These games would be no fun were there no challenge." Sharp replied, taking up his own character. "Well then, I must counter with a challenge of equal intensity when we next meet, are you prepared for such a thing, Mr. Dog?" "Why Miss Cat, I am prepared for anything you could throw at me. Even celery sticks." At that last line, the two burst into laughter. When she finally remembered there were others in the room, Caliko reiterated her earlier question to them between stray giggles. "Anyways, I'll be going by the lounge to use the microwave, in addition to the vending machine. Either of you want me to buy you something?" Kindle "Friends?" Kindle shook her head, "No, Kaede and I are not friends." She glanced around the room and noticed newly arrived belongings. She couldn't know whose they were, but her gut told her they belonged to the girl that had answered the door. "Is Kaede your friend?" She asked, the way she spoke yet again suggesting that a wrong answer would have a very poor result. Knife Lilith didn't hug Arturia back. Despite being physically touching, there seemed to be a barrier between them. Lilith's face was cold and empty as she said, "Why would she help?" Her voice was completely unfaltering, matching the chill of her face. "We aren't here for her to assuage her guilt." Arturia felt a sting like static electricity, and then Lilith fell limp in her arms, sleeping soundly. Knife wasn't sure what to think of the whole thing. She didn't know who Katherine was, and she didn't really know who Lilith or Arturia were. She held off on saying anything just yet, she was waiting for Arturia to address her first, but it didn't sound like Lilith had a better option than letting Knife take her back to Nayo. Stole Tys Tys nodded in agreement. "Yes, they'd have to be rather unreasonable to deny more than one or two of your peers testimonies. Do you know any of them personally? And the girl you helped, can you contact her especially? It would be best if you could contact them right after the interrogation so you can ensure their testimony is handled swiftly." Tys was starting to feel a lot better about this. She'd been really worried at first, but now they had a solid strategy. "If you can give me their information I can even potentially contact some while you're being interrogated."
