    Oh god. "Shadow, dodge that water!" Instead of obeying, he hit himself in his face with his wing and fell to the ground. "Uh. Oh. At least you dodged that attack." Then he saw that his bird was very weak. Another hit and he would be down for the count. "Buddy, this is all up to you!" He noticed that Bourbon was flying closer to Buddy. I could just copy what Absinthe did, but that doesn't prove my competence...or Buddy's. Bourbon was pretty close now. He had only one shot. "Buddy...use your mind attack to throw Absinthe at Bourbon!"

    He watched as Sarcus ran off. "Eheheh...l-looks like our battle will be l-later." He recalled Dray to his Heal Ball, who was clearly pissed because he didn't get to battle, grabbed Ms. Mime and went to go see his scores. "70%? And it looks like I h-have to work harder... I knew it..." Lionel sighed. "At least there are two people with lower scores..."

    In case you forgot, the black beak attack is Pursuit. And I use a coin flipper to determine if Shadow hurts itself or not.

    Absinthe and Shadow hit each other at the same moment. However, Shadow seemed to be in much more pain, and then Bourbon used his sound waves again, this time aimed at Shadow, who became confused. "Seems like that attack isn't inaffective against Shadow... Shadow, concentrate and attack Absinthe with your black beak attack! And you use your water attack at Bourbon, Buddy!" The Murkrow seemed to pull itself together and aimed for the Croconaw, while the Slowpoke blasted water at the bat.

    My character, Lionel, has the same score as Harry, yet he has that star and I don't. I don't understand the logic. Not meaning to be rude, but how exactly did you determine who would have to work harder and who don't, Grass?

    While the others were making the ice pole, Sark decided he could use some of the countless rocks that lied around all over to practise his Rock Smash. While he was practising, he saw Kenny and the Houndoom training together, while the humans were talking to each other. Meh. Humans. Then he caught the Pangoro - wasn't his name Theo? - caring for the small Deino. That was...THEIR FAULT! He shattered a rock that was double its size. I will never...forgive them...for what they have done...

    Itemset? What. Oh btw, I just introduced Buddy's ability...it is Own Tempo. I thought it would be legit for me to (ab)use it.

    Absinthe dashed at Buddy, biting at him with his powerful fangs. Buddy seemed to take some damage, but luckily he was the bulky type. Then Bourbon used the confusing attack. Lionel totally forgot he could do that. "Buddy! Get out of there!" But it was too late. The sonic waves reached Buddy...and did nothing. "What the...you just keep surprising me, Buddy! And now it's time for the counterattack we practised! Buddy, now that Absinthe's close, you use your mind attack to make him float so he can't do anything! When he's in the air, you use your wing attack on him, Shadow! Then you throw him to the ground, Buddy!" Buddy's eyes turned blueish again, and Shadow was preparing for its first attack.

    Not much to say, except for these three words. That went well. And beware Surge...his Double Teaming Raichu has took many Nuzlockers Pokemon.

    How does a mock battle sound? You can show Druddigon you are a worthy trainer by "defeating" me. Lionel didn't know what was coming over him. Did he just communicate with him...with his thoughts? He hoped that Sarcus couldn't follow his discussions with Ms. Mime if that was the case... A-alright, I'll do it. "Dray, what do you think about having a battle with Sarcus?" The eyes of the Druddigon sparkled. Battles were things the Dragon-type understood. "Okay, s-seems like we're ready... Which o-of your P-Pokemon will be our o-opponent?"

    Enyo? Are you kidding me? Of all the possible opponents he could get, he expected Enyo the least. "Shadow, Buddy, watch out for that alligator. That one is our biggest threat. Shadow, you outmatch that bat both offensively and defensively, but I don't know about its speed...watch out." The Murkrow nodded and flew off from Lionels shoulder. Buddy seemed to be eager to battle the fellow Water GAO. "Alright... Buddy, start off with your mind attack and throw Bourbon to the ground! Shadow, don't attack yet!" The Murkrow didn't look too happy with the command, but at least he obeyed. Buddy's eyes turned blue as he used his mind attack...

    K_H, I don't think that is already allowed. Umbreon is way too OP for now. Also, Ethic states that Stone evolutions will only come later on in the story. I have already a Dusk Stone, but it's going to be a long time until I will use it.

    You shouldn't forget to train your other pokes as well. I see that Wartortle, Beedrill and Gyarados are getting a lot of love, but train other Pokemon as well. Take Rattata for example. That thing literally dominates early in-game with Hyper Fang, not to mention that it can dominate late-game as well. My Raticate was Bold, meaning -Att, yet she completely obliterated Agatha thanks to her great Speed. Well, she had Shadow Ball as well, but that's off-topic. The thing I mean is that a Nuzlocke is made so you can play with Pokemon you didn't have or want. It's all explained by the founder of the challenge himself: http://nuzlocke.com/challenge-comic.html Now go, child, and remember: this is all happening for a reason.

    Lionel could hardly believe what he just saw. A GAO changing its appearance like that? He had never seen that happen before. He felt in his pocket, where he hid the black stone he found while training with Shadow... Two months ago? Three months? He couldn't quite remember. All he knew was that Shadow was drawn to the stone, and Lionel feared it would be dangerous to give him the stone. It may sound ridiculous, but he had the feeling that things wouldn't go well if he did that. So he pretended to bury the stone somewhere Shadow could probably never find it, but in reality, he still had the stone always with him. None of the other cadets knew about this... He didn't even tell General McCarthy. He feared that he may have found something that wasn't ment to be found by him, something with unknown potential. He looked back at the battle. It was quite even before the Nidoran evolved, but now it was clear that Jory had the advantage.

He turned over to Dray, only to see that he was snarling at Sarcus. "O-oh, right. I d-didn't introduce you y-yet. Dray, this is S-Sarcus...", Lionel thought about what he was going to say. He couldn't really call Sarcus a friend, because he hardly knew the guy. "an acquaintance of mine. He's going t-to help us to become better f-friends." ...Prove to your Druddigon that you are in charge...Dragons respect power... "I-I mean, he's going to help us strengthen the bond between u-us! A-and we will strengthen our b-bond, whether you cooperate or n-not!" He looked at Sarcus, with the unspoken question on his face: Was that good?
