  1. Always starts at stage 1, was pointed out earlier in the thread.
  2. Glühwein indeed It just struck me as a possible connection, that's all. Ironically, where do you think the date of christmas comes from?
  3. #MagikarpToE4 Srsly though, E4's difficulty isn't necessarily the fight themselves, rather not running out on PP for moves required to win them. PP-replenishing items have never been for sale and very sparse, so using them is discouraged due to possibly running out of them for a hypothetical better occasion. On the other hand, Cynthia and Gen III-Steven weren't that easy either. Besides, there's probably at least two-three years between now and the end of the game, who knows what sadistic plan Ame comes up with in that time?
  4. Since you bought it at a christmas market, it could have some relation to Sol Invictus, an ancient pagan belief of which customs got integrated into christianity...
  5. Those stones look very cool, just saying... Anyway, I always take my electric guitar wherever I go stay. ALWAYS. Even though I hardly play lately (kinda lost my spark), I still take it with me. It has some very personal significance to me I rather not like to elaborate upon. (I do want to become better, but I'm in a situation where I can't find a good teacher.) I also have this nice mid-long coat I got since January, which I really like to wear. I never had one that accentuated my waist (au contraire), so I wore it all the time until may (because very hot days).
  6. For someone who isn't that active on the forum (and only here for two-three years), this is a nice way to learn a bit more about the (more prominent) people around here. I must say, this is a cool and creative way to say thanks to people you appreciate here! Besides that, I think I know who the 4 of diamonds is, but I'm not completely sure how the username went exactly...
  7. M-Arbok (No time nor skill to make cool fanart) Poison/Dark Strong Jaw HP: 60 Atk: 125 (+40) Def: 104 (+35) SpA: 45 (-20) SpD: 99 (+20) Spe: 105 (+25) Basically, this mega would grant it a key immunity to Psychic and STAB to Crunch, which gets strengthened alongside all the Fang moves (including STAB Poison Fang, with a chance of badly poisoning the foe). Its physical stats get major buffs, as does it get an important speed above 100, nailing mons that would otherwise counter it (like Garchomp, e.g.) These stats make it also viable to run a strong Coil-set, with all of the boosts being relevant (Gunk Shot has 80% accuracy). I'm a little unsure how to distribute points over its defenses, as well as how much I can detract from its special attack without being too ridiculous (subtracting more would obviously go to defend itself better). Simply put, it's a big fat snake with a baaaad temper. It probably isn't going to bust OU, but it would at least be respected in UU, I believe.
  8. Kinda like something in Undertale? Also, I think burning down the field would probs advertly affect how your opponent sees you, due to the new system Ame's going to implement...Maybe just get a Yanmega.
  9. + Ice Shard + Lvl 1 + Berry Juice = Donphan the Destroyer.
  10. Oh, Volcarona has access to Hurricane, so I would be careful with such a statement. Rain Volcarona was an OU set in gen 5...plus all bug/steel and bug/grass would enjoy nerfed fire-moves (hardcore Shelly). Additionally, he could use a Prankster Sashed Volbeat or so to switch the weather at least twice (Or Tailwind/TWave to get a dangerous speed boost). And when it rains, the field doesn't burn away! Also, Nature Power becomes Growth on the field, so that throws that argument out of the water. But no bug-types have access to field-growing abilities, so that takes away possible momentum (or an easy way to protect the field). It's not impossible, but I'm not sure how to compose a mono-bug team to abuse it to the max. Also, a way to create this terrain would be cool (perhaps Rototiller+Leech Seed/Worry Seed/Seed Bomb(/Seed Flare)?).
  11. Is it wrong for me to have a Yahtzee-like stance towards E3?
  12. Well, Eurovision is over...not really a fan of the new voting system...

Those juries must've felt so entitled that they gave themselves more screen time than the rest of Europe (and Australia). It took away a lot of tension.

    3. Roswell

      Roswell

I personally prefer the new system to the old one, although ideally I would've had the popular vote in the longer style and the jury vote in the shorter one, although I can see their reasoning for it.

^exactly. That (while keeping the order jury -> popular) would've made it a nice improvement.

  13. I think Feraligatr is the worst starter. Not because it's necessarily bad, but it's completely useless since you get a Shiny Gyarados (another physical attacker that completely outclasses it)...how am I supposed to resist that? All the others have at least some use compared to the mons encountered. Even Meganium.
  14. Imo, AoT's intro music still coming through. Who knows what will happen in those elections?
  15. Finals have come. I will probably visit rarely until the end of June...fingers crossed for all those who share the same fate.

  17. Nothing s-i-g-n-i-f-i-c-a-n-t to add.
  18. If their equivalent of Moloka'I is filled with people that are dying of a horrible disease, that would be interesting...(it's a history thing)
  19. If you're really bothered about EVs, you can buy the berries at the department store if enough stickers (expensive though, but money isn't so rare anymore). Since you're not breeding for good IVs, just get rid of the EVs not used (like attack on noivern) for a nice small added buff to other stats (if you train those).
  20. I fear she actually killed herself...I think I need a Hug...

C'est la vie, et la mort. We have done what we could, we can but hope she does not make any rash decisions.

I haven't heard of her since the sixth, so yeah...doubt is kinda gnawing on me.

  21. Since you've finished E15, you probably can get Beldum. With dragon, fairy and rock gyms in the future, that might come in handy. It's quite difficult to get, though. There are also a plethora of good ground-types, like Mamoswine, Diggersby and Flygon (although the last one is mainly good at spamming STAB EQs), so unless you want a sturdy Explosion/Stealth Rock-setter like Graveler/Golem, you might want to check those out, too. And if you just want a good Rock-type, you can always go with Archeops. Its ability is shitty, but if raised correctly, you'll never have to worry about your foe surviving an attack...But Noivern is a fairly good flying-type, too. You also have access to the Eeveelutions (Chrysolia forest on a windy day), so you could go for another horde of fairly decent mons, whatever suits your fancy. Like earlier said, there are much better water-types than Simipour at this point. Lapras, Kingdra, Crawdaunt, Barbaracle (Lanturn if you expect to fight a lot in/under water)...I've probably missed some more. In all my runs, the only water-type that was on my team was Azumarril because luck. You can only get it by luck from the mystery egg in Beryl (or Episode hopping guarantees it).
  22. Yamask and Duskull are nice, but I would prefer the former (Relaxed or Bold). Can definitely help you in future battles. Also, you can get Zorua and Murkrow if you do the gang sidequests (And Carvanha/Houndour). All great against the next leader.
  23. You forget that those gens also had very different aesthetics outside perhaps the pokemon themselves compared to gen 3 and even amongst each other. Graphics alone don't make a game 's visual appearance, they merely increase fidelity. A game with great graphics can still look ugly af (on that topic: ) Yeah, those aesthetics (coupled with the graphics they're designed for) would make the game look really beautiful (imagine gen 5 panoramic views of the city...one can dream, hey). And having separate move animations makes the game less dull and adds to immersion and replay value (you don't use all moves in a run per se...). It's always a plus if your game looks good. But even if reborn had such aesthetics and graphical quality, if the story/game was dull, I would've tuned out after a short while. As example, Omicron is a snooze compared to this game, but one can argue it looks nicer at times (moving shadows? pretty cool).
  24. In looks, I like sage the most. But besides my first run, I'm not sure if I ever used them besides HMs (especially if I altered it for a different starter). They're just not that...great. And yeah, how you get one is kinda patronizing.
