  1. You can get Swinub already in Blacksteeple, unless V7 removed it (unlikely). It is rather rare, though. Also, Sleep Powder + Giga Drain + Moonlight ((+ Acid) on Vileplume takes out almost all of Valerie's pokemon without healing items, especially if you have Stealth Rock support or okay EV's/IV's (Seriously, it only died to Milotic's Ice Beam) suggest maxing out its HP to tuck a mon in with more certainty. Quick Claw works like a charm on it, too, if Sleep powder. Basically, everything with Sleep Powder is so useful in this game (and Vileplume can tank a heavy hit if trained well, so you can tip the battle in your favour).
  2. Well yeah (maybe as an exception B2W2). Doesn't make it less odd. But since it happens in the main series (and it would restrict a lot of freedom of movement), that idea is indeed better off discarded. Maybe make the tiles on the edge different in structure and color from the main road (e.g. as in Castelia City)?
  3. You know, if you want to share such things all across your journey, you might want to consider creating a single, personal playthrough thread. That way, you can comment about all the (weird) stuff you encounter and how you deal with it, while maybe (if you make it a bit interesting or funny, perhaps) also give us something nice to read through. You could even let people decide wich pokemon you're allowed to use (from the start or during the play), and all other kinds of stuff. Or you can follow what Zumi said, if you're simply inclined to get answers or share merely singular events incoherently (and are too far in the story to make the former). I understand you getting excited about strange events happening, but there is not really something we can add to the thread. It would have worked better as a status comment ("What's on your mind?").
  4. Something that seems a little odd to me is that Reborn has trains and choppers, but no cars. There aren't any vehicle roads in the entire city. It's not impossible, just very odd for a city of that size. Such roads (or nice pedestrian tiles) would perhaps make things less dull, but reworking would be a total pain. (You could use the refurbished underground railnet to use as a metroline for the city, but for the player it would be redundant with Fly under their belt. Something like that would probs be better purely aesthetically.) Adding bushes would be a nice way to break up the monotone paths without making it harder to see (trees would take up 2 tiles or make one of them invisible). Fountains would do the job, too, although they could perhaps take a little bit too much space.
  5. That's probs V8 content, unless we have to find Moseley. I tried the latter, without success. And no, she is terminal. Healing isn't really an option in such a case...
  6. Not to mention there is also a guy with the same sprite as him in Akuwa. There is no reason to conclude that that guy was Kalos (Kolas? Kalon? idk anymore), unless it is stated in- or directly. I also don't see why it would be so obvious that Maria is Melia. Maria is Marianette, that's easy, but Melia? She would know about all the cultist stuff (especially with the events in the sewer), instead of hardly knowing anything about them (which is the case). Maybe you should look at the exact dialogue and events in Blacksteeple concerning Madame X. Maybe there might be a clue there. It's that first you fall off a builing (but get saved), then she charges towards you (but something tragic happens, saving you). Did Madame X intend to kill you any of those moments? (because they seemed rather similar to what happened in this episode, except there were other people around us). Besides that, we weren't mentioned as one of the prophecies (yet?), so what's our point to the 'antagonists' (I say this, because Xen knows about it, but their second in command doesn't know our role)? Is something missing in the former? Or is Xen's intention different from what it seems (Ren being one of the dark prophecy getting hired by them makes this quite a stretch, perhaps). And what's the point of keeping us ignorant if we're so important? We're only somewhere halfway the game, but we're still missing important info to create a slightly coherent picture. Thinking about you being an orphan in all of this makes it rather sad. (Speaking of, I hope Moseley is okay after running off...I couldn't find her after that incident at the camp.)
  7. Thanks! That jigglypuff makes things really funny. I'm divided on stealing honey, though. Yup, although the blue hue made me think it was something like Tiempa...then it reminded me of the time crystals.
  8. No, that one doesn't get taken away before you finished reading it. Jan pulled a second Teila-town-moment there (think about the quiz guy). The 'Weird Diary' however does impact garbodor (literally?). Speaking of which, why the hell did Madame X appear and take it away? And the way it was done seemed weird to me, too, because there wasn't a crystal in that place... P.S.: 1. Anyone got an idea how to do something with the computer in West Gearen that's 'protected' by a scientist? You can put him to sleep, but nothing happens when you interact with it. 2. Has someone tried to run away in the houseguarding-quest? I wonder what happens if that is possible.
  9. Yeah, that confuses me to no end, especially how she did it. Attacking us = setback a minute or two?? The only other person we know only has saved us is Crescent (I'm suspecting for similar reasons). (We saved Melia at least once). Besides, Melia commenting on how 'weak' Madame X is...there should be something behind that, too...
  10. It's mainly the choice of having Icicle Crash or more power (the latter is lvl 60 already). I know it's not competitive, but I'm wondering which of the two would be better to go with. It would be an odd thing to do if a better choice laid right before you (and takes litthe effort to pick).
  11. I have a Jolly Mamoswine with Thick Fat and 31 attack IVs (and pretty good other IVs), but without Icicle crash (since Cubchoo/Beartic wasn't available at that point). So I decided to breed it for that move and better IVs now I got these specific mons (and a ditto). Out of this, I got a Swinub with pretty awesome IVs: the lowest is 21, and it has 3 perfect ones...but not in its attack (which is the 21. the perfect ones are HP, SpD and Spe). It also has Oblivious, so that has to be shuffled, too. This got me in a bit of a bind: Keep the Mamo (and wait until Destiny Knot, perhaps), or go with the new Swinub, knowing that it will miss between 6-10 attack (which is noticeable). (FTR, the Mamo's set is Ice Shard/Mist/Trash/EQ) (P.S. If there were Destiny knot, I could easily breed for 4x 31 IVs minimal, but only Jan knows when he will make us work to get that)
  12. I'm just hoping Jan will release Destiny Knot in V7...breeding without it gives you some tough choices.
  13. As you might've noticed, finals next month got me really busy...can hardly play video games even. Don't expect me to post during that time, sorry...

  14. I've been thinking about adding Cincinno, Florges and Bronzong to rotation. The latter two might become incredible powerhouses on the glitch field, too (although Bronzong with a special set). I don't know good movesets for the latter two, so please enlighten me.
  15. That looks amazing. Maybe making the background less 'smooth' (like gen 3-haze, maybe) for the move might enhance the feeling of discomfort, though.
  16. I used Metagross/Scrafty, but since you can't get Metagross early anymore that ship doesn fly anymore. (fyi, I used Bullet Punch to speed up once (and destoy a frail mon, then Meteor Mashed everything else. At the same time, three HJKs from Scrafty brought down an equal amount of mons. Really easy like that.) You could try to remove the field with a quick EQ-user. You could pair that with Levitate Bronzong (powerful Gyro Balls too, especially when paralyzed). In general, I recommend fast (physical) steel- and fighting-types, since their attacks aren't affected by the field (except BP, MP and Vacuum Wave, they render you a nice speed boost), and few of Blake's mons deal with physical hits that well.
  17. Since the last time, I think enough time and events have passed by for an update. The false god felt the world crashing upon him after three EQs from Tho and Flyogn (which outsped it, quite amazing). So I pretty much followed wytch's strategy. Thanks for that! Currently, I've added three new members since last time. Because I'm now at the point of entering Agate, I want to know what to adjust/breed/train before that long trip. So, without further ado, the even better squad now: Cataclysm (Blaziken), level 63 Speed Boost, Adamant, max IVs, 252 Atk, 5 Def, 252 Spe. -High Jump Kick -Flare Blitz -Brave Bird -Bulk Up Nefertiti (Cofagrigus), level 64 Mummy, Relaxed, (poor IVs,) 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SpD -Hex -WoW -Destiny Bond -Curse Floroar (Roserade), level 64 Natural Cure, Timid, Special IV-spread, 252 SpA, 4SpD, 252 Spe -Giga Drain -Toxic Spikes -Extrasensory -HP Fire Tho (Diggersby), level 65 Huge Power, Adamant, Max IVs, 252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Spe -Strength -Quick Attack -Bounce -EQ Meos (male Meowstic), level 56 Prankster, Quirky -Light Screen -Reflect -Psychic -Sucker Punch (Mainly there to set up screens for survival) And the new members: Nightcrawler (Galvantula), level 65 Compoundeyes, Timid, Max IVs, 252 SpA, 4 SpD, 252 Spe -Bug Buzz -Discharge (doubts between this and Electro Ball...Consistency vs possible massive damage) -T-wave -Sticky Web Elemental (Flygon), level 64 Levitate, Jolly, Max IVs, 252 Atk, 4 Def, 25 Spe -EQ -Rock Slide -Dragon Claw -Superpower Stratus (Noivern), level 54 (still in training) Telepathy, Timid, Max IVs, 252 Spa, 4SpD, 252 Spe -Roost -Tailwind -Air Slash -HP Dark (needed a good move to train against those Woobats...not desiring to stick with it) Post your thoughts below what needs to be adjusted. (No, I missed the plume fossil, so no Archeops ) (P.S. I especially want to know about mons I can still catch now that do really well in future gym/important battles against which my team at this moment would have a very tough time...)
  18. Instead of Body Slam or Bounce, I ran Superpower on Azu (through level-up, iirc.). The stat drops aren't nice, but it does quite a bit to most Steel-types.
  19. Or leaving it. It can happen with either of those. But yeah, it happens especially when weather changes.
  20. A set of mirrors made me question my existence. Art.

  21. Tfw you try to forget something, and wonder why it's so much easier with course material...
  22. TIL where the orbitals of butadiene we saw in high school come from, and even calculated them.
