    I'm finally back after barely passing one of the hardest semesters I've ever taken!   ...And I seem to have just barely missed the beta.  Darn.  At least I don't have too long to wait now.

    These games being "designed for kids" runs contrary to its whole point. I have a young niece and I don't want her to play this game because it'd instill a false idea of what Pokemon is. If this was my first Pokemon game instead of Ruby version, I wouldn't be into Pokemon like I am today. Also lol at them censoring Gary because "he was too mean". He wasn't even actually an asshole in the games, people just projected it onto him from what they saw in the anime.

    What I want is for megas to come back so Milotic can finally get one. What I'll probably get instead is some new gimmick that Gamefreak's tries real hard to push as "better than mega evolution" even though it won't be. In that case, the most I can do is hope Milotic gets some of that new gimmick action.

    Serebii's announcement page of this is worded in a way that made me think at first it was actually the next main series game. I was REAL mad. Imagine if a new generation came out and it were just a Kanto remake with only one new Pokémon. As a spinoff, I'm actually interested. It looks beautiful, appears to be legitimately fun, and most importantly, it probably sets the precedent for what the actual gen 8 will look like.

      I am kind of with Bibs on this one since it is an exaggeration because one man is trying to repeal and solve an issue going on for ages. Chances of that happening are very little though...like makes the net neutrality war look like a cakewalk success to repeal chances.

      As someone who supports the second amendment existing, I'm just going to laugh at you for a while. 

       

      Don't worry, the evil liberals are always out to take your guns, this is nothing new. It's gonna take a lot more than some kids dying to beat down the entire rust belt on gun control, let alone killing the second amendment.

      bug buzz, chatter, clanging scales and boomburst are the only sound-based moves primarina would prefer over hyper voice, and none of those barring maybe chatter and/or boomburst make sense on it.

      Liquid voice baffles me to be honest. The only use outside hyper voice stab was in doubles use perish song while having a water absorb/dry skin/... pkmn.

    Just making sure, the shiny charm DOES affect Wormhole legendaries right?  I've soft-resetted Reshiram over a thousand times now with no luck.

    Oh my God I can't believe I didn't realize this until someone else pointed it out to me. The entire story up until the climax is rendered pointless by the developer's laziness. This is such egregious laziness it makes the reskinning of the Battle Maison seem tame. Gamefreak REALLY needs to step up their game for the Switch title. Having a story this bad on the Switch while Mario and Zelda get some of the greatest games ever made, would be a bigger insult to the series than what they did with the Battle Frontier.

    Yeah you'd be surprised at the number of normies who appreciate Fern. There are a lot of people who wish Gamefreak would bring back the "jerk" rival, and to them Fern is everything they wanted and more. Dunno if they'd change their minds on him turning to the "dark side" though, because I don't know anyone outside of this site who's actually made it that far into the game. Because Reborn isn't for normies. Anyway, I've heard both good and bad things about them, but people like Trunks, Lucina, Homura... I'm just a huge sucker for characters from a bad future going back in time to change history. Maybe because I identify with having a past that I'd give anything to redo...

    I've also been struggling to understand what Gamefreak's trying to do there, and after looking back through the story courtesy of YouTube I think I've figured it out. That dialogue with Lillie and Gladion you mention comes from scenes taking place before the final confrontation at the end of the Aether Raid, in scenes that are pretty much completely unchanged from Sun and Moon original. Now if you look at my previous posts, you'll notice I've found a pattern of changes being lazily implemented, with no regard to how it affects or is affected by the rest of the game. Also I point out a part that's treated as a plot twist, when it's only really a plot twist to someone who played the original. Suddenly, the answer is obvious. Oh right that reminded me, I've finished the main story and I never made one of those posts. In case you're wondering why I keep going on in my posts about players who haven't played the original but are going to play this game, it's because I have a close friend who's doing exactly that.

    Do the Pokemon you find in other universes have a higher shiny rate?  I've found two already while level grinding and I don't even have the shiny charm yet.

     

    And does this mean the legendaries and Ultra Beasts you find there aren't shiny locked?
