    Ryan ran into the elevator, mashing the button for the second floor. He really hoped he would make it in time. Glacien wore a concerned look while Ryan seemed as if he was trying to pump himself up for a huge exam or something. There was an ounce of excitement on his face. As the elevator door opened, he scrambled out, tearing his way down the hallway to door 213, the room that he assumed had the smoke billowing out of the window. He slammed open the door and stuck his head inside. "HELLO!? Anybody here?"

    Not sure if this is wrong, but, Commander, I think it was stated that students do not have access to berries.

    Ryan grabbed Kage by the wrist to make sure he stayed behind him the whole time and started walking circles around the dorm building with an incredibly troubled face. After coming to the backside, he saw a stream of smoke billowing from one of the windows but not any fire from what he could see. "Kage! I see smoke but I don't know if there is a fire or not! I'm gonna go investigate! Do you remember how to get back to the cafeteria? Go see if Drake is still there and let him know about this!" Before waiting for a response, Ryan ran back to the front of the building. "Glacien, we might have to put out a fire here. No different from Dad's cooking, OK?" Ryan knew that water gun suited those situations. But this time? He hated to do this to Glacien cause he knew he might have to resort to Water Pulse. Glacien was always embarrassed to be the only Spheal from Shoal Cave to know that move. But if the time came, he had to be ready.

    "Oh, ok. Sucks that you can't see. This place is gorgeous. What is it that you wanted me to help you with?" Ryan halted. He smelt something, much like when his father would burn dinner in a failed attempt to cook it. "Hey, do you smell something? Like something is burning?'

    "Sure man, whatever you need." Ryan stood up, grasping Glacien against his chest as usual, and began to walk with Kage. "I hate to be insensitive here, but my curiosity seems to be getting the better of me. I never really did find out back in Mossdeep, but how exactly did you become blind?" Ryan felt guilty but he still wanted to know.

    Maybe you should work on trying to make your posts a bit longer. Maybe involve sensory details or thoughts rushing through James' head the whole time. Anything you can do to make it bigger without adding too much "fluff."

    "Nah man. You looked like someone just kicked an innocent baby Growlithe in front you. You seemed horrified and almost shocked." Ryan pitied him. He's trying so hard to be independent, and it's falling apart on top of him. God, I wish I could do something. "Is there something you want to say? I know you don't want help, but it's obvious this is hard on you. I'll be here. We'll be closer than Mossdeep, I promise."

    Ryan's eyes flittered up towards where Jacob and Devin were speaking. Ryan thought Devin was looking at him, but after following his gaze, he realized that Devin was looking at Kage. Locking his gaze to the conversation between the two, Ryan leaned over to Kage, trying to make his movements inconpsicuous. "Kage, I don't know if you can tell from Lucas or not, but I think Devin is asking Jacob about you. I think he know's somethings up. You didn't have your sunglasses when we spoke to him earlier did you?"

    Ryan opened his mouth to say his dorm but was interrupted halfway through. "He's talking with Devin from what it looks like. I don't know if those two want to be bothered or not though. Anyway, I'm 202. My roommate's name is James. I haven't been able to see him for a while. He's been all over the place. He seemed cool from the conversation we had at the entrance". Ryan squinted at Devin and Jacob. Something still seemed off, but he couldn't put a finger on it. In mental syncopation, Glacien shivered. Being an ice pokemon, that was rather rare. And Ryan knew it too. Something has to be wrong. Ryan, however, decided he'd made too big a deal of things already today and let it slide, downing a hot dog in two huge bites.

    As if on cue, Ryan's stomach released a growl rivaled with that of the roar of a Rayquaza. He chuckled a bit as he said "Yeah, I forgot I've still got like two hotdogs and a bacon cheeseburger still! I just want to apologize for overreacting over there, I just can't stand seeing people in a state like that." Ryan sat down in front of his tray. After gobbling down half of his burger, he turned over to Kage. "That guy seems hella shady. If he did that to Glacien, he'd be pounded into the ground right about now. Why didn't you do anything? He shook off the situation like it was nothing." Ryan took a more ferocious bite while pondering the thought.

    Ryan opened his mouth to apologize but didn't have a chance before Kage was already over, interrogating the owner of the troublemaking Vulpix. One thing Ryan could never get over was someone doing anything to hurt his friends and family. Ryan tensed, ready to spring into action if something were to occur. Getting the message, Glacien's eyes narrowed and he leaned forward, as if ready to bulldoze a Caterpie. Ryan's quick to react, but also overreact, to situation due to a time in which he was robbed. Well, I guess an attempted robbery, it could be called. His fathers fended off the intruder but decided that teaching him how to fight in hand to hand combat would prove necessary at some point in life. He loosened up, remember that Kage wanted to be independent. However, he still stood about 3 meters behind Kage to see what was to occur.

    Ryan heard the crash and his eyes dashed directly toward the sound. He was astonished to see Kage lying on the floor. What was even more astonishing was the lack of Lucas. Ryan ran over in a split second. "Kage! Oh my god what happened to you? Where is Lucas?" He lifted Kage up and scanned the area in hopes of perhaps finding his Ralts.

    "Oh ok, I honestly thought there was something wrong. My bad sir." Ryan casually walked away, not fully convinced, at sat back down at his table to continue eating.

    Erm, Ryan walked over to Devin before Kage even arrived, Murdoc. Idk if you want to edit that or not but you could definitely strike up conversation with Ryan after talking with them.

    Ryan was always one to want to know the latest gossip or know everyone's secrets. "Hey Jacob, wanna go see what they're talking about?" He picked up Glacien and strolled over to who he already knew was Devin. "Um, Mr. Devin Sir? I know it's not my place to intrude, but is there an issue or anything? You said the gates are locked and that someone's missing? Do you ned assistance with anything or at least is there any nonconfidential information you could tell us?" Ryan really hoped something hadn't gone wrong. He was already stressed enough.

    "Oh hey Jacob!" Ryan said. He realized that he had forgotten to get food for himself. "Would you mind if I went and grabbed some food for myself? Seems as if I've forgotten to get my own food." He told Glacien to stay still and try not to bother Jacob while he ran over to get his food. The line had died down and he got a hefty meal, covering his tray in complete excess. He dropped down next to Jacob again, as he saw Glacien eying Jacob's food. "Silly, that's not for you!" he proclaimed giving Glacien a small noogie, like that had done for the past two years.

    Ryan had succumbed to his constant habit and sat with his back to the exterior wall of the cafeteria on a table. Popping Glacien a pokeblock, he stared up at the sky, waiting for Kage and Jacob to show up.

    It might be that I'm just stupid, but is there a description of the cafeteria or can we freely just use it as an eatery without describing its interior/exterior?

    "Ok Kage, see you over there!" Ryan shouted before looking at Glacien. He pursed his lips and with a a baby voice said, "Here that? We're gonna get you some food!" Glacien jumped a little and did the ever so quick and simple roll into Ryan's arms as he walked over to the cafeteria.
