  1. A cold shiver ran down Garen's spine as Vixen finished the last statement. He gave a short, nervous laugh, unsure if she was joking. Damn, she's scary... "W-well, my name's Garen. Garen Forrest," he stammered, realizing he'd been silent a little longer than was normal in a conversation. "It's kind of an ironic name, isn't it... Maybe that'll make it easier to remember."
  2. We mow them down with HYPER BEAM!!!!! But honestly, I'll have to think about that for a bit...
  3. Ark, just to clarify, was Keaton hit by a guard or was that some kind of cost for his power? Also, I've been thinking about something. The way this RP is set up makes it so that a drawn out battle between PCs is very unlikely. Most battles would be over in an instant, due to the extremity of the powers. Viktor could give you a heart attack, Lux could fry you at the speed of light, Anver could freeze/burn you to death, Ace could kill you before you saw it coming... (And probably more I missed) It would make PC conflict very interesting (but also very aggravating), and character death in a PC conflict would be a serious possibility...
  4. "I guess you must consider me a loyal buttkisser then, huh?" Garen replied with a laugh. He pause, his face becoming serious. "Though I guess I'm not quite the same as the others... They're all here for a reason, most of them because they want to find a cure for someone they care about. But me?" He gave a grim smile. "I'd like to say I have an important reason like that, but I don't. I'm here from pure curiosity. I want to explore untouched wilderness, journey through uncharted lands, discover new species of plants and animals... It sounds childish when I say it out loud, but I've always dreamed of having the opportunities that the pioneers of Earth had, so many years ago. I don't plan to die until this dream's fulfilled."
  5. Lars looked away. "Honestly... no, I don't. I've only had him teleport me a few times, and this is the farthest he's ever sent me, assuming we're in the city. We could be anywhere from just on the edge to smack in the middle of this place." He sighed. "It's hard to practice with him, since he's asleep for 75% of his life... Anyway, we should get looking for a way out of here and then try to find Surge."
  6. 10/10 for nicely edited hat. Also, mayhem.
  7. Why didn't this happen last year? It's wonderful!

  8. typhlosionrulez, Snap Crackle Pop, King Murdoc, K_H Just as Ace finished speaking, there was a flash of blue light a short ways down the forest. Blue and Cedric were there, walking towards the group when they caught sight of them. Cedric stopped near Ace, taking a glance at all the unfamiliar faces. "...So you're all her friends then?" he asked, placing his hands in the pockets of his denim jacket. "Well, I had been hoping to recruit your friend here," he said to Beetle, Alice, Alan, and the others, "...but I won't take her from you unwillingly." He smiled. "I guess that leads into my next question: I think it's fairly reasonable to assume most if not all of you are Awakened, if you were able to attempt a prison break in a place like that, so I'd like to ask -- How would you feel about joining the Organization?" (((This is a legitimate choice, so don't feel forced to accept if you don't want to.))) ---------------------------------------------------------- Hukuna Viktor's shots all hit their mark. The man fell onto his back from the impact of the shots, the knife falling from his hand. The darkness slowly faded back into light as the young man died, and Zeus allowed the electricity in the rain to dissipate. There were whispers from those of the civilians that were still around, but they were too far away and too quiet to make out. Some of them seemed grateful, while others appeared terrified. The rain resumed at a more normal pace, but the skies were already clearing above. Zeus and Poseidon knelt on the ground, both breathing heavily. They looked exhausted, which was not to be unexpected from the tasks they had completed. The sound of many vehicles could be heard approaching, and armed soldiers in black body armor rushed through the gate. They all wore helmets that surrounded their entire face, looking like black soldiers from a sci-fi movie. Zeus stood slowly, coming over to Viktor and placing a hand on his shoulder. "That'd be BOA..." he said quietly. "They'll wrap things up from here, dealing with any stragglers and calming the civilians. For now, we should head back to base. I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted..." -------------------------------------------- Arkhidon "I turn the power off. Immediately after, the final room is to be breached. With this laser, I can aim for any non-armored patrols, vaporizing them. Gunfire and shots from this laser will leave me enough light in the room to know exactly where everyone is. You do not need light, so attack as you will." Hades raised an eyebrow. "Well, you certainly turned around fast..." he mumbled. Maybe he was a better motivational speaker than he thought... As the lights shattered, Hades wasted no time. He ran through the room, opening the final door on the map. He was in a large circular room, and three armed men turned to face him. They had assault rifles, and they were aimed at Hades. There was one more man standing farther in the back, at the top of a small staircase. Hades quickly ran back out of the room, pushing himself against the wall as the sound of gunfire started. He glanced at Keaton, holding up 3 fingers on one hand, to signal the armed men, and 1 finger on his other hand, to signal their boss. He expected that Keaton would understand the gist of it. Now he just needed to get close to the boss. The three men followed Hades out of the door, the first two running past without realizing he was now behind them. He grabbed the third man with his right hand, stopping him in his tracks. There was a deep purple glow from Hades' hand, and the man dropped. One of the other men turned to face Hades, and the other leveled his gun at Keaton. Hades just raised his hands in surrender, hoping Keaton had a plan for this.
  9. Well, that was unexpected. But I suppose Hades will like it. Also, are you still around, Snap? Haven't heard from Alice in a while, so I've had to kind of bunny past her. I think Murdoc said he was catching up, so I'm assuming he'll start again next chapter if he does decide to stick around.
  10. "So, you out here to get away from them too, or you just like the way the flowers smell?" Garen wasn't sure if the last part was supposed to be a joke or an insult -- it was hard to read Vixen. Either way, he ignored it. "No..." he started, "...I just came out here to calm my mind. I was a bit angry with myself after the incident with our equipment -- I can tell you right now, I won't be relying on it for navigation anymore. But I think being alone out here made me realize that despite that failure, the mission was still a success. We made it to base with no serious injuries or casualties, and that's what matters in the end." He paused for a moment, before asking. "So you're out here to get away from the others, then? If you don't mind me asking, why's that?"
  11. Are Flux and Fria behind the acolytes or on the opposite side of the cabin from them?
  12. Well, I did the same last year with my old avatar, so I figured why not? It did turn out rather comical though. Anyway, glad you guys like it! I'd also like to see a Santa boat...
  13. Yeah, I basically just didn't know what to do, so I sent him there to pop out when I figured it out XD. Anyway, if Super's fine, I'll head over that way.
  14. ...What exactly do you want me to do? I can't really think of any way for Phantom to interact with anyone besides just butting in to a random scene with someone else.
  15. Well, I'm picky so I'll probably read everything anyway if I get behind (I like to know everything that's going on, even if my PC won't know it), but I'd assume that they'll help those who just want to get the important stuff down. I'll do my best to remember to use them.
  16. Because it's funnnnn.... @ Ark Have an Atook Nira.
  17. I've got a few saved up for Ark. I'm thinking I'll make Atook Niras a thing... huehuehue... Other than that, idk how good I'd be at picking avis for people.
  18. "What god have I pissed off to have the misfortune of meeting someone else out here?" Garen turned off of the tree, startled by the interruption. He held his helmet in the crook of his left arm, his brown hair tied into a ponytail behind his bearded face. "Well, nice to see you again too," he said with a light smile. He looked back into the woods. "...I don't know about you, but I don't think there's anything as calming as being in woods like these. You can witness nature's beauty all working in perfect harmony, right in front of your eyes. It's amazing, really. Even after all these years, I think nature is the most impressive feat of all. No human creation can hope to match it."
  19. You forgot Phantom, but... while technically with the robbers, I don't know if he's really on anyone's team.
  20. "...I kill them all. Every single god damn one of those fucktards..." A pause. "Look after Tamira for me, alright? Garen stepped away from his place under the stars, moving towards the woods. He figured that being in the familiar arms of nature would help calm him down. He didn't know what Major Bane had been talking about, or with whom, but it wasn't his place to bring it up. He walked through the brush, trying to get far enough away to be alone, yet staying close enough that he wouldn't draw attention from the wildlife. He leaned against a tree, gazing out into the wilderness. He felt at home here, more so than in the camp. He was both nervous and excited for the trip to Eden, for the chance to discover new species of plants and animals, for the chance to see sights that no others had seen in who knows how long -- Perhaps there were sights that had yet to be seen by the eyes of a living creature.
  21. "C'mon, let's find the others! Don't be a Slowpoke, Prof. Flux!~" "Oh, I wouldn't dream of it," he said with a shrug, as he started off to catch up with her. "You know, you handled that pretty smoothly as well," he commented as they trudged along through the snow. "Those Abomasnow really took to you quickly. It takes a special kind of person to be able to do that with a wild Pokemon, much less an angered one." He gave her a smile. "Let's just hope the others fared as well as we did."
  22. Nero stood to his feet, catching his breath and regaining his composure. "It went right around the tree..." he thought, "And to make matters worse, it knocked me out of my invisibility." He grabbed his sword from where he had dropped it, making his way towards the battle with the Victonari. He moved more quickly this time, and did not bother redoing his invisibility. It was clear that whatever magic was being used would hit him anyway, so it would only be a waste of energy.
