If your serious about getting fllygon you might consider taking an extra step and breeding earthquake on to it, just get a geoudude breed eq to a dwebble(are they still around?) and breed it to triapinch and you get an eq triapinch.

Probably won't happen since if you got the glitched sticker you can buy all the evolution stones. -
I guess you could but tons of peppermint from the candy store for 300 and trade them in for honey which sells for 500, yeah this is pretty bad compared to pay day meowth but its afkable you can just spam enter or space while watching tv, doing homework, etc and you make some cash after awhile.

Ground is a decent choice, there are many solid strong ground types and there are quite a few available early on like onix, numel, and wormadon ground (have one in my bug mono its surprisingly not bad, though than again its a bug mono.....) Fighting is not as great, yes it has broken and srong pokemon like speed boost blaziken and scraggy but there are not that many fighting types in the early stages, the only pokemon you can pick up during the first gym is ralts (you know gallade). But if you can get past the early gyms with the limited amount of pokemon you should be fine though I have no idea how your going to beat shelly but hey that your problem. Flying is also a decent choice, you get a lot of choices throughout the game and you get many powerful pokemon like crobat, gyrados(you happy Vinny) The only problem I have with mono flying though is that it lacks bulky pokemon,most pokes generally aren't very bulky so you might have trouble against bulky teams like Aya and Shade. Besides that its a great choice.

Shelly was a nighmare...... Stealth rocks absolutely wrecked my bug/flying types so I pretty much had to restart every time her dwebble used them, I had no answer to her Heather the yamega except for kamikazing Elizabeth V which only lives if yamega uses air cutter which doesn't happen a lot if it uses ancient power I get swept, scyther could go toe on toe with Boom (now a fortress) because of glitched double def drop from rock smash and it would sweep my team if boom didn't kill it, nobody but Elizabeth V who I need to kamikazee can touch wormadon steel, and Bugsy the friggin volbeat out heals every single one of my pokes even Agate's rock blast. It took me like 20 something tries to finally beat her and i needed to use 3 cotton candies. the only reason I won was because Elizabeth V broke through confuse and destiny bonded the friggin volbeat's crit struggle bug, this monotype is starting to get tough...
