  1. There is a bug in the new smash 4 patch where Diddy Kong can put himself in a state where he can not be grabbed if certain conditions are met. No proven way to undo the glitch except by killing him. Expect him to be banned at tournaments after The Big House until this is patched.

  2. "This is why you never Side B as Pikachu" - Smash gif of the day, from Sm4sh: http://gfycat.com/DiscretePositiveCowbird

    1. Shing

      Shing

The footstool made me just kreygasm even more.

  3. Hard to get him to hate you when you realize that he's also a fan of the little satanic hamster.
  4. Ahri is a fairly easy champ to play once you get one or two games with her under your belt. Although she has lots of AoE damage, Charm makes it so that you should place your emphasis on a single (squishy) target, like an assassin. Also don't be afraid to exploit Ahri's mobility (Q, ultimate) to escape bad situations and that Charm is just as good defensively as it is offensively.
  5. Fun fact: In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Otacon, in his conversation with Snake, states that he is a big fan of Captain Falcon. Otacon shares a Japanese voice actor, Hideyuki Tanaka, with Captain Falcon in the F-Zero GP Legend anime.

  6. Let the man do what he wants. He essentially creates the mid lane meta.
  7. Well yeah, no one struggles with Mewtwo, he's a bad character right now Just give the fella some weight...then he'll be alright.
  8. Luigi is still a notably worse character overall after the changes, even with the shield stun changes; in fact, they work against him since shield stun, when combined with his low traction, makes so many moves safe on block against him as he slip slides away. The changes to down throw also make kill combos more difficult to set up, requiring a good read or punish in order to secure a kill (no more Down Throw into Down B kill, for example). Hitlag increase on Down B makes it easier for opponents to survive through DI or SDI, and the KBG nerf doesn't help either. Fortunately for Luigi, his Down Smash and Down Air got buffed, but that really doesn't do quite enough to compensate. Just makes him a wee bit better at edgeguarding.
  9. The shield stun increase is a big deal. It nerfs characters such as Charizard who rely more on out-of-shield options, while characters with multi-hit moves such as Little Mac and Yoshi can slaughter shields since letting go of shield against multi-hit attacks can be impossible in some cases (take a look at this example from GimR). They also indirectly benefit a slew of other characters, such as Peach, Lucario and Mega Man. A lot of players are claiming this to be a huge alteration to the current meta. Also more shield stun of course means more shield damage, so beware of moves that dealt heavy shield damage to begin with, such as Collarbone Breaker (Ryu's strong F-tilt), Bowser Bomb and Arcthunder (although many of them had their shield damage nerfed, but those three examples were unchanged).
  10. Three new stages! Duck Hunt (now available on 3DS - for free!) Duck Hunt Music: Duck Hunt map tour: Tournament legality: Counterpick Pirate Ship (Wii U exclusive - purchased) Pirate Ship Music List: Pirate Ship map tour: Tournament legality: TO's discretion, most likely banned Super Mario Maker (new stage available for purchase on both versions) Super Mario Maker Music: Super Mario Maker map tour: Tournament Legality: Banned Among the new content are new Mii costumes, including costumes from Kid Icarus Uprising and Monster Hunter 4.
  11. Three new Smash Bros stages! Both versions get the Super Mario Maker stage. 3DS gets Duck Hunt from Wii U. Wii U sees the return of the Pirate Ship stage.

  12. Three new Smash a row.

  13. If you're looking to upkeep your mana in the early-game as Poppy, Crystalline Flask or even a Doran's Ring are great choices. That said, Manamune is not the worst item on Poppy. Muramana can amplify your damage to terrifying levels.
  14. I assume all other regions will get the 28% discount typical of 1350 skins.
  15. Kindred's dance has been confirmed to be a reference to this viral tap dance cover of Anna Kendrick's "Cups" from Pitch Perfect:

    1. Arkhi

      Arkhi

I can dig it. The dance actually looks kinda neat on Kindred.

  16. Three new skins! Check 'em out. Cosmic Reaver Kassadin (OCE commemoration skin.) Spirit Fire Brand (finally, a Brand skin!) Demon Vi (no splash just yet) All three of these skins are for 1350 RP.
  17. Yeah, it's important to take that with a grain of salt. Also, the skin commemorating the OCE region will be on PBE today. The teaser that was released heavily implies it is for Kassadin.
  18. mfw the Raiders are 2-1

  19. There's two main build paths people go with Yasuo. The first one is Statikk Shiv / Tier 2 Boots / Blade of the Ruined King / Infinity Edge / Randuin's Omen / Banshee's Veil. Typical Yasuo build geared toward skirmishing, and a healthy mix of offense and defense. It's good in about 80-90% of the matches you play, if not every game. The second one is a little different. It goes Statikk Shiv / Trinity Force / Tier 2 Boots / The Bloodthirster / Infinity Edge / Guardian Angel. This build is a little...stranger, and requires more snowballing, but the speed at which you rip apart enemy squishies and towers is immense, not to mention it's fun as hell. It's actually the one I prefer myself.
  20. Looks like it's time to go slay some werewolves, brb.

  21. Feels so weird in USFIV playing someone other than Poison after using her for so long.

  22. Nashor's still isn't great on Teemo. There's other things he benefits better from - magic penetration, heal reduction, perhaps a Luden's; hell, even Rylai's is pretty good on him because of that damn blind. If you want damage from autoattacks, you should grab a Lich Bane. You'll want to go Nashor's instead if the other team is considerably beefy and try to rip them apart with DPS. EDIT: Runaan's is even worse on him, and Nashor's + Runaan's together is extreme overinvestment in autoattacks. Kayle can get away with it because she has range and can kite really well, but Teemo...nope.
  23. You don't actually get an autoattack reset with Tiamat or Ravenous Hydra. You do with Titanic Hydra though, although your situations on which you'd be able to put it to good use would be few and far between. So it would make sense if he finished the item pronto, but you were winning, so who cares. I'm more irked by the lack of Archangel's or magic penetration in any form. Just a haunting guise would have done volumes for him.
  24. I have a very similar mindset, but I try not to let the matchup advantage or disadvantage get to my head. It's about what I can do, to think of a plan of attack and go from there. The ratios, as helpful as they can be, are just what they are. They're numbers. Just because the Ryu-Bowser matchup is 70:30 Ryu, doesn't mean that Bowser can't win this. The point is to understand and adapt . Ryu spamming Hadokens? Block, or even hit them, then go nuts when he's bored of it. he's tryin to bait you into a bad situation with Focus Attack? Know the Focus Attack and acknowledge the threat of it, either spotdodge or just stay away and in range to flamebreathe him out of it. Is Ryu F-smashing? Bowser has tons of ways around this laggy move of Ryu's, including his own potent F-Smash. It's about feeling out your opponent and thinking of your plan of attack. Of course, there is a knowledge aspect to this, which in this case is acknowledging Ryu's combo starters (he will probably use SH NAir). I will probably amend this tomorrow when I'm less tired
  25. I've strongly respected this dude since the outset of the Smash 4 series and this is a pretty interesting watch/listen. He seemed to be pretty pissed off by the recent reddit tier list (as was half the community, lol).
