wow it's almost like there's more than one way to beat the game and that two pokemon can have similar movesets my mind is blown. I mean it's not like there was a very recent topic for someone destroying Charlotte with a Rainbow Field Boomburst and Gengar, and it's not like Inuki ruined Julia's day with a Protean Lick or a more recent battle where he used Nature Power Roserade to sweep with a field-boosted GEAR GRIND. Okay, so, disregarding the fact that he tried to call this a replacement for Gyarados since he's already realised his mistake there, his entire point is that Gyarados is not in the game anymore and he offered another very effective Pokemon (that can be obtained much earlier, yes) to try instead. Obviously Gyarados is stronger and if Espeon were used the same way it would be too but the thing that seperates Clefable and Espeon is Cosmic Power. Clefable is more defensive than Espeon is because of Magic Guard and the fact that it boosts both defenses as opposed to one and an offensive stat. The Fairy typing (and STAB) is also appreciated. Short of a crit or opposing setup, Clefable isn't going anywhere when it sets up. I've used it in my second file and it singlehandedly swept several leaders when shade wasn't hell bent on parafusion-ing me to death and I'm not sure who's serious and who's not so on to the next thing You guys are playing an unfinished game, and yes Gyarados will be back in eventually, but for now it isn't and shouldn't be treated like it is by everyone that might still have it from a previous file, or god forbid went back to a previous version to get it (that personally really annoys me js). Ideally with the finished product neither of the above will be possible so good luck with that. Ame seems content with everyone playing the game the way they want to though, so whatever.

Personally my favorites are E-Lo (he used to use the name Kwandaoren66) and Nbz, although that used to just be because they were the only ones I watched; after keeping up with them for a while I saw that Nbz also did Fire Emblem videos (and he was part of what motivated me to play it myself, love the series now) and I ended up watching those more often than his battles haha. I really enjoyed E-Lo's picture in picture narrations, cause I thought it was unique and gave something else to look at while the battle was going on. I remember one time he took out a Blissey with Perish Song from 100-0%, made a sandwich on screen and started to eat it while its HP was dropping and it was probably the funniest thing I've seen him do lol. I also remember way back in the day he thought there was a ghost in his house and he streamed his attempt to try and communicate with it, and it was super late night so it was less people and more personal...ish. I guess. His TCGO videos were also pretty informative I think, as someone who tried maybe once to actually play it and never again. ...And then there's time he flipped 14 heads on like the first turn of a game with an Iron Head and won by popping the guy's only Pokemon on the field in one shot. I made my tumblr a long time ago for the sole purpose of following E-Lo; he's super chill and I got to talk with him a couple times, if only very briefly, about a music artist and more recently about an anime I wanted to start (and have since started). He also added me on skype for a pokemon tutoring group he was starting (sadly it didn't go anywhere) so I like to pretend that matters. And, of course there's the obligatory Shofu since I started watching him when I heard he started playing Reborn. I've been watching his Sm4sh videos more recently, but I don't keep up with his battles too often. Can we count Glitch because her remixes are amazing? Yes? Okay, her too. She's in the same boat as E-Lo kind of; seems really cool and I follow her on tumblr where I make (less successful ;-; ) attempts to ask small questions just for the sake of trying to talk with her EDIT: YO I FORGOT MARRILAND I'M SO BAD LOL the Marriland forums were directly and indirectly a HUGE part of who I am today as absolutely cliche as that sounds- it's where I met Inuki and challenged him to a battle and eventually was invited to join his old forum of like two people that became our hangout for at least the next couple years yada yada best friends blah blah blah here we are now EDIT2: found the sandwich video EDIT3: TCGO hilarity

So I caught up a bit with this and have some replies #late They have the same base speed, and Groudon only has one weakness when ... uh, transformed. Admittedly it IS Ground (come on, man, lord of all things earth and it's weak to ground? pls) but that's more easily covered than Electric or Grass. I'll give you movepools though. BOUNDLESS DISAPPOINTMENT In Gold and Silver the legendary Pokemon were just kind of thrown in and more or less irrelevant to the actual story except "hey this thing's on the title screen" and minor bits of background for both Lugia and Ho-Oh. That was one of the things they fixed, kind of- I mean they were at least played up instead of "oh there's a big scary bird thing down here" or "oh there's a big scary bird thing up here." Personally, since the legendary/story integration was started in Gen 3 I'm looking forward to how much better they can make it, considering recent games. As for what they might actually add, it's a stretch but since Colosseum and XD were both Gen 3 I think some kind of throwback to either of those would be neat it's hard to say because X/Y had literally no postgame and usually that's where all the cool extra stuff is.
