Its definitely just my preference that I would rather not know the other person's team and be able to surprise them and have them surprise me with switches. Enough playing on XY proper on the 3DS Wifi has made it so that the battle really begins in terms of what people are going to use first. You see their teams, yes, but they can see yours too, and both sides will adjust their leads according to what they see. My thought process on the predicting is that its still possible with no preview. Its just a lot harder as instead of knowing the 5 possibilities of the switch, you have 717 (well, obviously not that many but you get the gist)...
