Arkadius
Hey everyone, So like everyone here I've been enjoying and exploring the E19 release. The readme of E19 states the following: Spoiler At the start of the game, you will be prompted for special instructions, or passwords. Below is a list of applicable passwords. Please note that these are features are considered a bonus, and may have some unexpected interactions at times... Implement a hard EXP cap when maxed on badges, similar to Pokémon Rejuvenation: Password: hardcap Cause randomized early game Pokémon events to bias towards a specific type: Password: mononormal Password: monofire Password: monowater Password: monograss Password: monoelectric Password: monoice Password: monofighting Password: monopoison Password: monoground Password: monoflying Password: monobug Password: monopsychic Password: monorock Password: monoghost Password: monodragon Password: monodark Password: monosteel Password: monofairy Prevent Pokémon from being healed after their HP drops to 0: Pasword: nuzlocke Randomly reshuffles species and moves as rolled at game start: Password: randomizer Pokémon do not need to know HM (TMX) moves in order to use them in the field: Password: easyhms Prohibits the player's use of items in trainer battles: Password: noitems Sets all opposing trainer Pokémon to have 252 EVs in all stats: Password: fullevs Sets all opposing trainer Pokémon to have 0 EVs and IVs in all stats: Password: litemode Makes all Field Notes visible immediately Password: allfieldapp Remove some randomness by making all attacks do consistent damage rather than a roll: Password: nodamageroll Multiple passwords, including differing monotypes, may be used in tandem with each other, but progress at your own risk~ Other hidden passwords may be able to be found in the game. So, it made me wonder what else could be here. I tried the following and it worked: Spoiler speedrun It gives your starter Pokemon as well as "pick-up" Pokemon (like Espurr at the beginning) 6x 31 IV's. It also gives you items at the start: exp. all, mega ring and all kinds of mints which allow you to change the nature of Pokemon. This is really cool actually. It allows for consistent routing because there is no stat RNG anymore. No need to reset for good stats which saves a lot of time obviously. Very nice! It's really cool that the developers created this feature for such a niche area. Let's hope this inspires a lot of Reborn speedrunning!! For those that do not know, I made post a while back with a complete E18 speedrun route. I wonder what else we can discover. Let's share in this post. @Mods, I wasn't quite sure where to post this topic. I felt this was appropriate.
EmilTejada150
Is there a certain point in the game where you get all the speedrun items? I inputed the password at the train cutscene and am inside the grand hall Right now but none of the items are in my bag.

daxfer
Does that password npc that appears in Calcenon activate passwords? If so how do I deactivate passwords if they were activated by him *Edit* Figured it out, you just have to input the same password again to disable it

Administrators Amethyst Posted April 19, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2022 Hi there! We've kept y'all in mind when making updates to the game and I'm also very excited to see how e19 routes. I'll run you down the specific speedrun password features as of now: Pokemon won't gain EXP over the level cap Psychic type event pokemon are guaranteed from RNG events. I feel a little weird about this because i don't want to "enforce" a specific type route but I know Espurr is pretty core generally. Pokemon can use qualified HM moves without knowing them All obtainable pokemon have 31 IVs (but online play is disabled) Damage rolls are removed from the game; all damage values take the average of their possibilities You will get the same weather pattern every time You can control the weather from the pokegear Free Mega Ring The incubator is unlocked from the start for instant breeding, should you for some reason want it Grand Hall trainers give EXP candy without having to battle htem Free mint pack at start Free EXP All pack at start In addition to that, there is one more variant! We noticed it was a little bit faster, but much more difficult. So once you have some muscle memory down for routes, you might try "speedrunnotx". Good luck!

That 31 IVs alone is guaranteed to reduce tedium involved with soft-resetting. Definitely useful for speedrunning indeed. Thank you so much! The psychic part is definitely interesting, but Psychic types in general are busted in Reborn, so it's not an unfounded sentiment. May I ask though if it includes stuff like the egg you get from the Slums? Does it guarantee either Bronzor or Drowzee? Thank you once again. Administrators Amethyst Posted April 19, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2022 It does include that, and when there are multiple options like that it has a chance of rolling either.

Sweeeeeet. This is wild. I can finally pull off a consistent Psychic Terrain strategy. Thank you so much for these quality of life features! Tobi
The "Litemode" password, lowers to 0 both EVs and IVs of enemies. But the "Fullevs" password, maximizes only the EVs. Is there a password for maximizing enemy IVs, too? Since they suddenly start hitting you with their weakest move, once your lifebar is halved and they no longer remember to heal their pokemon, it would be fair for every enemy to at least come at you with both of their IVs and EVs maxed, no? It maxes their IVs, too. Most trainers' pokemon are full 31 IVs anyway by the time you hit Noel, though. (Except for 0 Speed IV for trick room teams)
thisguy666
There is "monowoke" password from the person in the library.
