Mega Ring and Mawilite

Is the mega ring in the game now? And if so, is Mawile's stone obtainable? 

I have a (completely healthy and reasonable) obsession with Mawile, but without it being mega I doubt it can go very far before it's in my for nothing more than a switch/heal sacrifice

Yes and yes, however be aware that mega ring is in the very beginning of the latest version, meaning VERY late into the game.

How far exactly?

Bruh, Lv85 almost Lv90 since you need 2 badges to go from 80 to 85.. I wish it was Lv80.. It's right after where we left off from v12, it takes a little while still but eh..

It is actually level 85, and if you check the badge list there are multiple badges that are at that level, so it is actual even later then just lv 85. You get it a bit after badge 14. So yeah, Mawile is really bad for a long long time.

It's late but Mawile arguably is the best mega avaliable for now... was very useful on every battle of the latest chapter.

And yes, although Mawile won't be *that* useful until then, I used one and Intimidate + the best type combination in the game really makes it go a long way as a support or counter to some specific pokemon. I used mine a lot (intense mode btw)

Standard Mawile was pretty useful into the mid 70s on my V12 Intense run, it doesn't really fall off until super late game because, yeah, turns out a physically defensive Steel/Fairy is pretty hard to come by and has a lot of very important uses. You could probably even eek out enough usage to keep it in your rotation all the way until you get the stone.
