Bfroger6
"Oh gee~ Well, have fun with her, I'm here to see if you've got some pretty sparkly golden thread for me and my friend Lily to use for sewing!" Klaren smiled, trying not to succumb to the urge to poke the sleeping girl's cheek.
Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
"Sparkly... Golden thread? I'm afraid no." Anna answers as she pokes at her cheek trying to remember. "It hurts my very soul to suggest this but, you could try a different store. Tomorrow Ian and I are going to the city near by. I think Saffron and Keagan mean to come as well. You could come along dear and find a tailor somewhere in the city."
Chevaleresse
7 hours ago, Marcello said: "Hit my target? What are you talking about?" He asked, looking over his shoulder. He quickly noticed the char marks in the tree around the lance. "...Huh. I really just...?" He asked with raised eyebrows, looking at Hoshiko for confirmation. Hoshiko made that smug nod with her eyes closed once again. "You actually hit the lance dead on." The archer looked entirely too self-satisified at someone else's success, and didn't seem to have noticed the potential hearing damage she'd inflicted. Stalkerkain
Rosalvya pouted, as she couldn't illicit a reaction out of Hoshiko. She had probably noticed her presence from further away, given how unphased she was. That, or she had nerves of steel. Rosalvya let down her hood, and pulled out her hair from underneath the robe. She moved over to where both of them could see her. "I heard all the commotion and lightning, and was wondering what was going on," Rosalvya said innocently. "What are you two up to?" Zetaark
Ecquis had to think about this for a moment. He never truly thought about his calm demeanor very much. But after a bit of thinking, he came up with an answer. "Truthfully, I think it may just have been how my life went, ironically enough. There was so much going on that if I actually got worked up or worried over it all I probably would have gone mad. But I suppose at some point I asked myself, what does getting bothered by everything get you? The answer I found was that it didn't benefit me very much at all. Thinking on it, my time in Yukihana is probably where my current personality arose from. I was basically a young boy out in a frozen wilderness travelling with a man who had earlier tried to kill me," Ecquis chuckled a bit before continuing. "I figured if some impossible situation like that could happen, anything was possible. So, I decided to accept all things as at least somewhat feasible. That doesn't necessarily mean that I think that any incredibly outlandish things are likely to happen, but rather that they are within the realm of possibility. So I suppose that's why I am the way I am. I must admit though, its not a question I've ever been asked, so forgive me if this answer was a bit long-winded or not quite what you expected," Ecquis finished. Code: PIRULUK
Serene quickly located the two people in the forest. Hoshiko seemed to be teaching Terrin to... pose? In an attempt to correct his aim. She understood the rationale, but it wasn't really... It was more addressing the symptoms than the cause. She walked up to the two. "Hello there, what's burning?" Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
"Well get ready to wake up early then. Oh can you can invite everyone else along too. Chevaleresse
Hoshiko struck a triumphant pose with one arm thrust to the heavens. "I've been helping my fellow hero rekindle the flames of justice that had been smoldering deep within his soul! And you?"
Stalkerkain
"Re...kindle?" she thought to herself. What exactly had she done to achieve that? "I was just having a chat with Klaren not too long ago, and his robe seemed to have come under my possession," she said, as she childishly fluttered the purple robe up and down. "Our conversation led me to go and find Terrin. Serene is here too, which is perfect. I seem to have acquired a book from a Dragao mage in our last battle, and was wondering if either of you two could put it to use. I asked Klaren, but he said he couldn't use it." Static (28/30) is offered to either of the mages for inspection.
Code: PIRULUK
Serene took one glance at the tome and immediately noted that it wasn't a fire tome. Wrinkling her nose a bit, she gives a dismissive wave. "Nah, not hot enough for me. Perhaps our spatially-challenged friend here can make use of it." Developers Marcello Posted February 24, 2017 Developers Share Posted February 24, 2017 "Didn't they teach you basic thunder magic in training?" Terrin asked, curiously, before shrugging. "Well, regardless, I'm probably better off taking it. At a glance it looks easier to aim than this old thing, so maybe I won't be quite so spacially challenged while using it." Terrin smirked as we waved his thunder tome at Serene, before taking the static tome and opening it up, flicking through some pages. He smiled and looked up at Rosa."Oooh, I remember these. This is the stuff they give to mages in training. Not the strongest in the world, but really easy to handle. Thanks for grabbing this!"
Code: PIRULUK
"Oh? Why don't you give it a shot, then? See if you can replicate your previous success. I think I understand the problem, but it would probably be good for me to observe it closely before I address it. I wouldn't want to light the wrong kindling, after all." Developers Marcello Posted February 25, 2017 Developers Share Posted February 25, 2017 (Static (28/30) taken from Rosa forgot to explicitly say so last post) "You think you understand it, huh? Well, if you have advice to offer, one mage to another." Terrin laughed a bit as he opened up the new tome, scanned it quickly, and cast back at the tree. Instead of a bolt, this tome produced more like a small clump of electricity. It didn't hit the lance, but it DID still manage to hit the tree, albeit right at its base, which was an improvement to the majority of what his old tome had been offering him. "Hmm, that was alright, I suppose."
Bfroger6
"Consider it done, miss Anna~" Klaren jumped up and started running through the camp, waving his hands around as he shouted as loud as he could: "EVERYONE, WE'RE GOING TO THE CITY TOMORROW, WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Code: PIRULUK
"Well, the first step is to stop using Thunder magic." Serene smirked, then gave him actual advice. "The archer girl is... sort of correct. The spirits are fickle things. You need to really feel them. Magic isn't performed by reading a book. It's performed by taking the words, burning them into your memory, and using those as the kindling for something deeper, more...raw." Serene quickly traced a pattern over her tome and threw out an arm. As she did, a bolt of fire shot from her hand, curving around just as it reached the tree. It ringed the tree multiple times, then split into five smaller bolts, all of which hit the mark on the spear's tip with pinpoint accuracy. "Like so." Developers Marcello Posted February 27, 2017 Developers Share Posted February 27, 2017 "Y'know, a lesser man would be jealous of how well you can do that." Terrin remarked with raised eyebrows, very clearly jealous of how well she could do that, folding his arms a little. "FEEL the spirits, eh..." Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
The night went on calmly, no intruders appeared and the soldiers of House Nohr were far far away. The camp rest calmly under the summer breeze. It was quite a warm night; with crickets and other animals making a soft natural orchestra around them. 17th of First Heat "Klaren, Klaren dear wake up." Anna shook the sleeping Klaren awake at the early dawn. The sun wasn't fully in view, obscured over the horizon and the first rays of dawn were all the light in the world. It must have been barely 6 am. "Go rouse your friends awake, if we want to make it to the city by midday we have to leave now. We'll leave with or without you~" Outside the tents, Anna and Ian were loading up the cart and getting the horses ready. Meanwhile Saffron and Keagan were waking themselves, both seemingly sleepy and unaccustomed to waking up this early. Everyone else in the camp is fast asleep. The previous night Feri stated that he would stay behind in camp to watch for their belongings; but if any of the heroes wished, they could invite others in the camp to come a long for a chance to get them know better or adventure. Bfroger6
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn..." Klaren wipes his eyes as he wakes up. At first he is confused, but then when he sees Anna, his face brightens and he smiles. "Oh is it time already!?" He hops up like it totally ain't super early in the morning. "I'll go invite everyone, then~" Klaren gives Anna a wink before turning to leave the tent when... "Whoa-" He trips over and directly onto someone with his hands spread wide. His face bonks against the person's forehead. "TERIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!" The monk exclaims. Edited March 1, 2017 by Bfroger6
Zetaark
Having woken up from the noise from outside, Ecquis hears about a trip to the city. Stalkerkain
Rosalvya immediately rose upright, as Klaren's voice echoed throughout the camp. She groaned, as she tried to blink away her fatigue. Whatever the commotion was, it was far too early to be woken. But she was already up, so she may as well start her day. After getting dressed, she groggily stumbled out of the tent with her sword in hand. She remembered that today was the day that they were finally heading into the city. She would be glad to have civilization after camping for so long. Letting out a big yawn, she went to locate Radburn's tent. With her sheathed sword, she pushed it through the tent flaps and tried to prod Radburn awake. "Wake up Radburn," she said, trying to stifle a yawn. "Come on, we're going to the city." Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
Rosalyva found Radburn sleeping on his side, arms wrapped around his wooden sword. He was sleeping quietly, but a small snort bubble on his nose was slowly enlarging... and shrinking... enlarging... and shrinking with his breathing. It popped as Rosalyva woke him, and he got up swiftly. "Another challenger has come to fight great Radburn huh!?" Radburn said proudly and sleepily, clearly still dreaming. "I'll take you on; we'll fight on the corpses of the thousands of dragons that I killed by myself! Do you really think you can face the GREAT RAD- Oh it's you Rosalyva! I was having the best dream." He scratches the back of his head in embarrassment as he gets up and stretches. "The city? Sounds like fun, let me get my things!" He was sleeping in the same clothing he always wore, but with the armor off. He simply grabbed a sheathe from the corner of the tent and sheathed his sword and placed it on his side. "I'm ready." Developers Marcello Posted March 1, 2017 Developers Share Posted March 1, 2017 "....Good morning Klaren..." Terrin mumbles, wincing, as he saw the monk's face not even inches away from his own, a very loud shouting, and for some reason his forehead hurt. However this was not the first night he had shared a tent with Klaren, and this was, in the scheme of things, a pretty peaceful awakening. There was no point even asking what had lead to this situation, however. "Did you sleep well?" He grunted with a yawn, as he waited for Klaren to get back up so he could put his robes on, the thunder mage had a tendency to sleep shirtless. Sutoratosu
"Huuuh?" still groggy, the Sister got up from her sleeping roll. Sure enough, there was the cart outside, already being prepared to head off. "Sure... why not..." she backed away from tent flap and rubbed the remaining sleep out of her eyes. Perhaps her display of frustration the night before had taken more out of her than she'd thought- waking up this early shouldn't have been an issue; Donalto and his men would've easily already been up and active even before this hour... the dusk and predawn hours always provided the best cover for movement. There was another thing as well, though. One she had brushed aside in the heat of the moment, but now after the storm had passed, had all too much time to wonder about- at some point in that whole confrontation, there had been a change in the light. A transformation from the likes of that produced by her staves to one hailing from another source... a far more primal and retributive one. The tattered remains of Freyl's tome were proof enough of transition, proof enough that whatever had occured, she had not merely imagined it. Taking one the Heal Gems out of sleeve, she held it in one hand as the other lay open before. Like clockwork, all she had to do was will it, and the light bloomed forth in her palm, swirling there like snowflakes in an ethereal blizzard, and held there for a few moments as she stared into it depths. Try as she might, she felt no difference in it than any time she'd called it forth to heal someone. Perhaps... could the sheer duress of the situation have been a factor? The hunds had certainly proved willing and able enough to try to mentally assault Dash on nothing but her general anger alone, yesterday... but to be able to completely alter the nature of their own being into a force of physical destruction? No, no... it was something to think about later. Whatever had triggered it, she wasn't eager to do it again, one way or another. She already had to watch herself enough with the knowledge of how volatile a healing could become, and this new anomaly was just another thing to worry about keeping properly caged... She slipped the sphere back into her robes and let the blizzard die, turning back to the rider as she tried to push it all from her mind. "Say, ecquis, why don't we invite Dash too? I'm sure it would be nice for him, after... yesterday. I want to see how's he doing."
Bfroger6
"Good morning sleepyface~I hurt my big toe on your hard-rock muscles right now~" Klaren was back up at his feet even before Terrin. "I think I'm ready for the trip~ I can't wait, hehe!"
