Maelstrom 312
On steam? Hell if I know. Earthbound, megaman battle network 1&2, and golden sun are on wii u virtual console though.

Raindrop Valkyrie 118
The genres you gave aren't so helpful to me... msotly because genres themselves are very very wide pools. I mean RPGs alone break down into aRPGs, jRPGs, cRPGs, and MMORPGS ((this is out of the question for 20 bucks... but for completeness sake.)).not to mention other sud-categories. I would find it helpful if you listed some of your favourite games, as that way I could get a better idea of what you like.
Damiano 0
Don't Starve Together? I have no clue as I am not a pc gamer. Under twenty dollars is even tougher. FF7, FF13?
AuthorReborn 8
Perhaps try such games as the KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic).
Commander 876
The only rpg I can think of is Legend of Heroes: Trials of the Sky, but I don't use steam. Speaking of that game, I need to play it before I could even recommend it. Now if we talk consoles, that's a whole different story. I can think of about 40 with one or two just barely outside your budget.

Flux 30
Any tales of game except Legendia. (true fans of the series don't recognize that game) Bruh. Legendia was flipping amazing. 2nd best Tales game that I've ever played, after Abyss. It's soundtrack won AWARDS. It may not have been made by the usual company, but it's a great game nonetheless. Anyway, on topic, I'd recommend the Portal games for sure. I'm pretty sure you can get the bundle of Portal and Portal 2 for around $13 on Steam now. Portal 2 is co-op as well. Super Meat Boy is great, if you have any interest in a challenging platformer. Killing Floor is a good co-op survival FPS. Castle Crashers is a fun way to waste some hours in co-op, and it's an RPG as well. Valdis Story is an RPG that was on Steam Greenlight for about $3.50 (Not sure how it's priced now). It's an amazingly fun 2D Action RPG, and while the fact that it's an indie game shows, I still had a great experience with it.

RedSinger 0
Dota 2 is on Steam, and is a petty good free team-based game, but it can pretty much be summed up as a multiplayer RTS. If you've ever played anything like League of Legends or Heroes of Newerth, it's basically the same type of game. Speaking of League of Legends, you can probably tell that a large amount of people on the forum play it, so you could get a few friends to play with (which helps a lot in MOBA games, especially if you're starting out). It's not on Steam, but it is free to an extent; you're required to purchase characters, with real money if you choose, but they can all be gotten through playing regularly. Shanco 16
DotA 2 Free A great team-based MOBA that is also free to play on Steam. Great graphics, a lot of strategy involved and pretty challenging. However, it is very difficult to pick up and has a horrid community. Would hesitate to recommend without prior experience in a MOBA like Smite, Heroes of Newerth, or League of Legends (all of which are free, and recommended, but not on Steam) Awesomenauts 10.99 Another MOBA, though completely different from Dota and, in my opinion, way more fun. Its easy-to-pick-up gameplay, cartoony art style and catchy music are all part of an overall super fun experience. Will also note the support of split-screen multiplayer here. Unreal Tournament 4 (Pre-Alpha) Free People are going to beat me to the punch on most other things, so I'm going to go off the beaten path and pick something that isn't on Steam, but is a PC game. Signing up for the UT forum (click the link above) will allow you to be part of the development for the fourth installment of the famous Unreal Tournament series. The game itself will be free to play come launch, unlike past UT titles; however, signing up now gives you access to the Pre-Alpha and some professional development tools to help you make stuff for the game. No one's forcing you to make stuff though.
