Cepheus 7 Posted February 1, 2015 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Back when I was relatively new I had the idea of a Climate-Institute to change the weather to your liking... because of weather-based events and event-pokemon! It was (and still is) just tedious when you are hunting a specific weather-based event Pokemon and the weather channel just doesn't bring up your weather and you have to change the date ON YOUR COMPUTER... ugh... so frustrating and annoying... and time-consuming... Example Mudkip... you need two weather conditions for it to appear -> Rain for the guy to spawn in the house who tells you that there is Mudkip around the wasteland... and THEN normal (or was it sunny?) to make the Mudkip appear after you talk to him... and I even admitted that this was pretty strong in the beginning and proposed that it can be a late game-thing, or the weather-change is just temporary because of the huge amount of energy needed to "control" the weather. And that you have to work for it... you know a whole Team Meteor Squad with a "Boss-Battle". Link to post Share on other sites

You can use the music from the starting menu, and make that menu almost mute, like impending doom. THIS, I've been wanting this so much would especially like to see these scenes animated: - corey throwing himself down the bridge and the player tries to save him but it's too late - heather getting electrocuted by sigmund - kiki getting stabbed in the heart by one of garchomp's arms, and her heart coming out as garchomp withdraws its arm - tara (or whatever her name was, from team meteor)'s corpse falling deep down the lake on tanzan mountain while constantly bleeding. a close shot would show a smile and tears of happiness that simon, her partner, lived. also, optional but if possible would also like to have a bunch of meteors' corpses doing the same thing around her. another optional thing: basculins eat all their dead bodies but tara's. (what? they're fucking piranhas) - sapphira falling down the steelix after getting blasted by lin's hydreigon - scene between amaria and titania happening the same way the scene between corey and the player happened - eclipse having her soul swallowed by the chandelure as sirius psycho-laughs and aster and the player watch with a terrified look, without being able to do a thing - lin's completely dismembered on a pool of blood on the floor, and her head rolling towards the player, showing tears (either that or a psycho-pathic smile, I just don't know her personality too well as of now) did I miss any relevant death/might-seem-like-death/simply-violent scenes? Also it's Lin not Rin and she's not dead (yet) She doesn't mean the intro, but the scenes througout the story. I don't think Tara would be a good idea, since we never saw it in the first place. The scene where you were told she was dead was powerful since you didn't see it, and you saw dead meteors in front of the base. It was the point where you realised that what you were doing was also wrong, if you didn't by entry. Rest is good, though. Link to post Share on other sites

Also it's Lin not Rin and she's not dead (yet) yea sorry LOL, I always mistake Lin for a green haired anime character called Rin well, not all of them were actual deaths, but just seemed like it, so they wouldn't be complete spoilers, at max the person playing could, for example, expect sapphira to die, since the previous ones died, but then be surprised that she didnt or instead of showing them as an intro, they could act as cut scenes, following the respective events... though I'm not sure if animated cut scenes are even possible with the program used to create reborn, not to mention that animating some of them would already be pretty hard EDIT: what the person above me said Link to post Share on other sites

Yea, cutscenes were definitely needed for reborn in those moments. When I first played reborn, for example, it was just awkward as I just stood there as Corey fell without me even trying to save him. or instead of showing them as an intro, they could act as cut scenes, following the respective events... though I'm not sure if animated cut scenes are even possible with the program used to create reborn, not to mention that animating some of them would already be pretty hard maybe something like still images and parts of the image just moving? I think I get what you mean, it's as if everything (each individual character, the background etc) is on a different plane, and they don't really interact much but just move enough to show something, like the art style used in Link to post Share on other sites
