Cut only reduces the field by 1 stage. Why not Acid Downpour to drag it all the way to stage 1? But then since rain is permanent indoor, and more than 2 of her Pokemons carry Growth, why the fret?

Now I wanna speculate on the Laura+Bennett team. Assuming the battle will be fought on the Flower Garden, there should be some ways for both of them to grow it to the 4th or 5th stage.
