quick question. what exactly is the apeal of a Douche rival if the character of said rival might be as one note as blue? I mean et's face it asside from Silver there has not been a good "douchbag" rival yet in terms of them actually being a fucking character over a single trait
-
The "douchbag" rival archetype has more appeal than a friendly rival, since said archetype gives more tension and satisfaction for each encounter; i.e if the player character loses, then the rival will have a lot more smack talk to give towards the player, thus giving the player more reason to beat him/her which makes the conflict more exciting since it is no longer a one-sided rivalry as both characters will be putting their pride and prestige on the line. Then, when the player wins the next encounter, it will be more satisfying to see that the rival can't backup his/her top dog status anymore.

It is almost end of my first semester and I......finally realized why people said College is hard, I almost cannot keep up with my assignments and the presentation....oh the presentation, I am very bad at speaking in front of a crowd and having to do
this a few times a month is making me wanting to rip my hair out. Also I need to find a few part time jobs in my next semester to get some cashI am really grateful I don't have to pay rentand having my aunt grilling me about how I need to be independent for 24/7 is really....tiring like God I wish I could sleep for a long time right now and playing games feels more like a chore instead of relaxing like it was used to be. I don't know why...but I feel really lazy to even studying now,the only reason I still make an effort to get good grades is because I would be kicked out of my house and I rather sleep in a bed instead of a park bench thank you very much. I was wondering if anybody has gone through this before and I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can give me some advice for survivingthis hellholeCollege.ps: I like my new profile picture thanks Zumi :3

This year, I started implementing a daily schedule that helps plan my entire day; basically, I use the morning for all my daily obligations, used the afternoon for studying, relax during the evenings and use night times for assignment work. Getting the optimum amount of sleep is essential (around 7 and a half to 8 hours).
The reason its difficult to play games or relax is because the deadline to submit your assignments is always at the back of your mind. What I always do to tackle assignments is to prepare a few weeks before the assignment due date; one week to prepare for the assignment, the next week to tackle the assignment and the final week to check that the answers are correct.
I also dread the examination dates and whether or not I have the adequate knowledge acquired from studying to get me through those examinations. The main reason I put effort into studying is because I set a standard for myself; the standard doesn't need to be high, it just needs to reflect the best of your abilities.

So just curious. Now that we know a bit more about Sword & Shield, who still thinks the Grass Type Gym is the 1st Gym we'll be challenging? Because I have a feeling it won't be.
-
Probably the second Gym Leader; the main character is still using the first stage of their starter Pokemon, and a Generation's gimmick is usually introduced sometime before the third Gym. Then again, Z-Moves were introduced right off the bat in Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, and Eldegoss could be an early-evolution Pokemon.

Guys be careful of going on twitter right now, there's currently a mass shooting video flying around(possibly the worst in recent new zealand history) and it's freakin awful. Screw these white supremacists terrorists and sites like 8chan that entertain and promote them.

Anyone have any tips for dealing with throbbing headaches? Just took an iboprophan so far doesn't seem to have any effect

How much does the story change if you find all the police officers before fighting Corey?

RIP Stan Lee. I got to meet him at Dragon Con in 2010. Great man, and very nice. There world's a little less bright without him. Excelsior.

So, I recently had to watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Again.
A lot of the pacing issues disappeared on my second viewing. And that's the only improvement. Otherwise, I consider my relationship with this film to be what Hardcore Final Fantasy fans consider their relationship with Final Fantasy XIII to be. Meaning? It sucks.
It's still a terrible film. Poorly scripted, poorly paced, poorly written. Not a single character works, and the one decent character (Finn) is completely wasted through the Canto Bight arc.
And After seeing this film, Jar Jar's status as the worst character in Star Wars is... questionable. Rose and Admiral Holdo are far worse, because Jar Jar didn't interfere with the plot of the two films that he was in. Rose interfered with a lot of Finn's potential character development, and do I even need to talk about Holdo?
The thing with The Force Awakens was that, while it wasn't exactly a good movie, It actually set up the basis for a sequel that could potentially be good. I don't think The Last Jedi did that. They just contributed to a messy, disjointed, inconsistent mess of a trilogy, and the third film in this trilogy doesn't have much going for it.
The Sad thing, is that there were some good Ideas in this film. Finn might have been a compelling character, and bringing up the failure of the Jedi would have been a decent subject. It's just hidden behind a terrible plot and a terribly made film.
-
I've only watched The Last Jedi once and I thought it was a mess; the only scenes that stood out was the space battle between the Resistance and the First Order at the beginning along with Rey and Kylo Ren fighting Snoke's guards. I would have put Luke brushing off the First Order assault as the coolest moment in the movie as well as one of the stand out moments in the franchise, but it was revealed to be a troll.
I know that the prequels are reviled, looked down upon and I'm one of the few who don't hate them, but they did their job in telling the origin of Darth Vader; I'll admit it was sloppily done (mostly this sloppiness is seen in Attack of the Clones), however, they had the same passion as the original trilogy which is something I cannot say for The Last Jedi.
