    Talking to this guy from the side without any pokemon in your party will cause him to pester you for eternity until you reach a wall, upon which the game softlocks. Edit: Ignore the weirdly placed image.

    Definitely Arbok, our almighty Snake God that is available right after you get your starter. I put in my team because I thought that Glare and Acid Spray might have some use for a badge or two, and boy was I wrong. This thing carried me incredibly far, Glared at so many threats, Hazed stat boosts away, Intimidated Opponents and Coiled itself to victory so many times that I probably have to call it the second or third most useful Pokemon in my entire team.
