  1. Spanish speaker here, when I played the game I read aloud the dialogue trying to imagine how would it look translated, then I reached Terra and...oof Since her dialogue is mostly composed of english internet slang and memes, I'd recommend changing those to something that Spanish speakers are more familiar with. I'm from Latin America, there are various groups Spanish speaking memers (called legions, sectors...) that I'm not familiar with, but I can see Terra talking like them.
  2. What led you to Pokemon Reborn? I encountered shofu's Pokemon Reborn playthrough, he was during the Radomus gym at the time. The lore and characters looked really attractive to me. What do you think about the battle system in the game? Well, it's Pokemon! So it's instantly a win Ok now seriously, I really like the field effects and how they add a new layer of stratagies, which moves gain additional effects, how you have to approach the gym leaders, etc. As for the restrictions, I feel they harm the gameplay rather than improve it. Since you have to battle lots and lots of trainers during the story (especially Meteor Grunts!) I found myself getting above the cap unintentionally plenty of times and my mons disobeying me during important battles. Now, I get Common Candies fixed this issue but it still feels annoying that I am eventually punished for just battling trainers (and I am a completionist so I like battling everyone in sight...). And it's not like getting OP Pokémon is easy nor that bosses are already difficult, so I think the restrictions aren't too necessary to raise the difficulty. What do you think about the stories/narrative in the game? Interesting question. I really like the bleak setting of Reborn, how the music reflects that (Beryl Ward is a good example of that), the deteriorating streets that almost no one cares about, delincuents and thugs roaming around, even a town with socialites that despise the "low-lifes" but aren't any better than them. It's a disturbingly realistic portrayal of a third-world region, which makes it feel SO REWARDING when you revisit the city later in the game and you find new hope with the reconstruction. The characters are pretty interesting too, they all are clearly troubled people, each with their own emotional baggages. From the cheery Julia whose hyperactiveness hides her insecurities (and she is the LEAST TROUBLED of her group!) to Solaris and El, wicked villains who both went through hell and that I sympathize with. These are stuff that we are most likely never going to see in an official Pokemon game, which is something that makes Reborn more appealing to me. I'm not going to say it doesn't have it's flaws. While I feel this a mature story and setting there are some times it feels a bit...too on the edge, or where the story feels very convoluted with so many plots going on. The best example I could think is the Glass Wokrstation aftermath, where a lot of bombs are dropped in a VERY LONG cutscene. Nevertheless, you got me very engaged, dev team, and I'm very excited to see the conclusion. In particular, what do you think about the queer characters in the game, like Cain and Adrienn? Sexuality don't made me care more or less about them. Cain and Adrienn are pretty cool, the former being a chill rival but with a lot of issues regarding his choices (whether it's his ability to act against the villains or his sexuality) and Adrienn being crucial to the restoration of Reborn. I'd say they are handling queer characters pretty good, they aren't making their personalities "I'm gay" and that's it, they have depth just like the heterosexual characters.
  3. I've seen the Dragon field effects........yup, I am guaranteed to suffer (Nature Power Roserade hype?). I am personally more worried about what they will pull off for the final challenges... Also, please stay safe, everyone!
  4. About implementing Gen 8... My opinion is...don't. It would be a huge amount of work and plenty of new mechanics to add: aside from the dynamax, we would have new Pokemon, moves, etc, that would mean remaking most boss fights as well (add Solaris a dynamax Tyranitar, for example). Not saying this would take time and that I'm impatient for the release, though, it's that Reborn already feels polished and complete that I don't think adding more would be necessary. Well that's just my opinion, and it's up for the designers to decide.
  5. :blobsweat: She's A tier for me. High A or low S. Very intimidating villain.
  6. Thanks! Now that everyone is there, I can rank them on how much I like them as characters
  7. Late to this, but here is my list, depending on the difficulty I had with them. Keep in mind I started playing since episode XI (the Luna one), some gym leaders didn't have their fields yet and I mostly like using my main 6. Amaria was hell to me, her field gave her the most unfair advantages and power boosts, it felt almost mandatory to change the field or use x items to have a chance (which I did, in the Reshiram-Zekrom route respectively). Charlotte was a "do or die" battle, it depends on me setting up my Pokemon early and sweep her in a few turns, or her sweeeping me in a few turns. Hardy was similar, but I was much better prepared against Rock types.
  8. Really glad I am following both routes, even though that means I have to play the game twice. But there is a lot of time for the next chapter to come out so I don't mind. Best wishes, guys. This game has been quite a ride.
  9. Oh well, you can always pick my other favorites if you are still looking for team members. (IIII think Growlithe can be found earlier than the rest, followed by Heracross)
  10. It's on my signature. But my number 1 is Absol. Great design, nice concept and behaviour, deadly in battles.
  11. Haha thank you. I think Unburden Hawlucha can also come in handy, but so far, Limber was pretty good, a lot of trainers like using status moves like T-wave. Just saying, Klinklang used to have Screech, which was also useful against Lv75 Garchomp and some PULSE Mons. I might relearn it if I need it again.
  12. Ooooh nice choices. I played USUM and I can assure that Bewear is a MONSTER. And Alola Dugtrio seems pretty good too.
  13. Hello! It has been so long since last time I came here, I was so busy. Oh well, I just found out the next update is coming. I am so hyped for this, also impatient lol, so I want to show you my team, which I used since the beginning of my journey with (almost) no backups. Here it is! https://www.deviantart.com/keinhangia/art/Delphox-Fennekin-final-evolution-406084165 Trixie (Delphox) @ Charcoal Ability: Blaze Timid Nature - Flamethrower - Psychic - Mystical Fire - Will-O-Wisp I began playing Reborn before I received my 3DS, and it just got updated with all the XY stuff, so Fennekin became my true first Kalos starter. I wanted to see how strong Delphox could be, being a powerful special attacker, and it didn't dissapoint. Trixie was able to take on Julia all by herself, destroy Shelly (sorry for that...) and even took on Charlotte's ace, Ninetales, 1 on 1. Not only does it hit hard, but it can cripple with burns and special attack drops, which were useful against giant Steelix and Arceus itself. https://www.deviantart.com/macuarrorro/art/Klinklang-280228920 LyraAndBonBon (Klinklang) @ Normalium Z Ability: Clear Body Adamant Nature - Gear Grind - Giga Impact - Wild Charge - Shift Gear Klinklang is quite a peculiar choice. Perhaps it might not be the most popular Pokémon, but I didn't mind. I wanted to give it a chance when I saw it at the Railnet. It's an early Steel-type,, with Clear body, making it quite useful against all those early oppenents, including Florina and her Cradily (CURSE Cradily, mind you). Its resistances allow her to take attacks pretty well, especially during the Taka and Zel double battle, and Corey. When it evolved and learned Shift Gear, L&BB became a bulky sweeper that could end matches quickly, especially on the Factory Field (beware, Team Meteor, since most of your battles take place on factories :P). Not bad for a set of gears. https://www.deviantart.com/sayakatherine/art/Pokemon-Fan-Art-Roserade-Petal-Dance-484470389 Fluttershy (Roserade) @ Miracle Seed Ability: Natural Cure Modest Nature - Giga Drain - Venoshock - Petal Dance - Toxic Spikes I like Roserade, and I know that Roserade is quite devastating on playthroughs, so when that Budew suddenly jumped at me, I knew it had to be on the team. Fluttershy took forever to evolve to Roselia, but when it did, she was quite the tank with moves like Giga Drain and the recently buffed Petal Dance, which could even 2HKO Shade's Gengar (RIP Corey). And on the Circus field, sheeeeeeeeeesh, even Ciel got destroyed! I will stick with this Pokémon until the end, unlike Fern... https://www.deviantart.com/numepoi/art/Fav-Fairy-Type-418007158 Spike (Granbull) @ Quick Claw Ability: Intimidate Adamant Nature - Play Rough - Brick Break - Crunch - Charm Fairy types were the newest toy XY gave use, and I really wanted to test one in this game. The first one I got was this Snubull, whick rapidly evolved into Granbull. Spike is pretty slow, but it hits hard in return. It's a good thing it learned Play Rough just right before the Kiki battle. Also, access to Intimidate AND Charm allow me to cripple physical attackers, which was EXTREMELY USEFUL against Solaris' Garchomp, as well as other bosses. Watch out, Saphira. Watch out, Lin. You are next. https://www.deviantart.com/michaelogicalm/art/Diggersby-434078256 Angel (Diggersby) @ Normalium Z Ability: Huge Power Adamant Nature - Strength - Earthquake - Giga Impact - Agility Another Gen 6 Pokémon, yes, I wanted to try all the new stuff from Kalos. And what better choice than arguably the most powerful early rodent. Angel is the strongest attacker of the group, both STAB combine well and can defeat Pokémon with ease, especially in double battles, where EQ his everyone. By the way, learning Earthquake by level up is a huge plus in this game, Radomus and Charlotte learned it the hard way. Against Titania it was pretty helpful, especially vs Aegislash. https://www.deviantart.com/evilapple513/art/HAWLUCHA-418221328 Sonata Dusk (Hawlucha) @ Black Belt Ability: Limber Jolly Nature - High Jump Kick - Flying Press - Fly - Swords Dance Finally, it took so long for me to decide the final team member (I had my Pickup Zigzagoon as an HM Slave), but it was worth it. Hawlucha is awesome, both in design and power. Sonata is the fastest Poke of my team, and it can sweep with ease thanks to learning Swords Dance by level up. Samson got destroyed, as well as Titania. And I have a High Jump Kick ready to land on that Hydreigon's face next time I see it... Oh well, that is my team. I will complete the rest of this game with it, since I have become so attached to it. Do you also have Pokémon that you began to appreciate more during this adventure?
  14. How about Brick Break? Covers steel types and isn't as weak as bulldoze.
