So someone else actually has something negative to say about Cain. Finally. If you ask me, I really think Cain is just an overall nice guy that truly does want the best for everyone. However, Cain is just extremely inconsiderate, and can be downright rude sometimes. And for that, I really just can't like him. First things first, he just downright disappears to get away from his mom and burdens his sister with all his responsibilities. Like really? I understand things are tough, but by no means is that an excuse to burden anyone else. Get help. Do something. Anything other than what you did. Another thing, there is a difference between being uplifting and being an overall freak. Making jokes in certain situations in order to try and relieve the stress of things is great, but if you get a hard on every time you hear the word "hard" or "beat", then you have a problem there. Also, did anyone else get pissed off by the fact that Cain directly made a sexual joke to Shelly? A 12 year old? Really? If you like getting beat by men, step outside. I'll give you the beating of a lifetime. And last thing, in the middle of the Astrae, is anyone bothered by the fact that in the middle of trying to find out where the hell everyone is, he sees Adrienn and decides that nothing else matters until he can find out if xe is a boy or a girl? A little rude, don't you think? Not to mention just downright stupid. But luckily for us, Adrienn is a transcendent being that doesn't conform to standard gender norms, and isn't offended by Cain's insulting question. So overall, despite how kindhearted he may be, I simply find Cain to be not a very good person. I just can't like him really. TLDR; Cain is dumb and inconsiderate so I don't like him.

I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. I know things might be tough for you right now, but stay strong. We're all here for you. Don't feel like you're all alone with this, because you're not. And if you ever need anyone to talk to for whatever reason, my pm box is open. It sounds like your dad is on your side with this whole ordeal. The best advice I can give is maybe try and open up to him. If he is there to defend you, I'm sure he will understand how this situation makes you feel. Let him help, because it sounds like he wants your happiness above all else. He's there for you because he loves you. Don't just bury everything away. Open up. Talk it out. Hang in there bud. Things will get better. No matter how how bleak things may seem, you can get through this. We're here for you, and I wish you the best of luck.

Very well. I will be an all powerful and merciless god! My subjects shall pay sacrilege or they will perish before my wrath! But back to reality, I really doubt Ame's gonna do much with Taka given the whole reception the split paths have. What I'm really curious about though, is how you think Sigmund might play a role late game. Given his power, he holds a high position within Team Meteor. However, it is clear that he doesn't really care for what Team Meteor wants, and I'm curious as what he even wants to accomplish with them in the first place. Another thing is that he seems adamant towards the fact that he knows Lin in some way. Maybe he will be the one to sabotage some of Team Meteor's plans in order to find out what Lin's whole deal is. Since we now know that Lin isn't exactly human, perhaps Sigmund might be instrumental in how we will take Lin down.

Fair enough. I see the point in that. So does playing a video game equate to playing god now?

@Jess ........wow. That's a pretty well though out argument you made. I refuse to believe that Titania is working with Team Meteor in any way. Titania clearly cares for Amaria and given all of her and Amy's interactions with Team Meteor, there is know way Titania has any allegiance with Team Meteor (aside from some terrible writing). However, you are right. Titania does know more than she is leading on, and by no means is she to be trusted. I just like her and Amy cuz the two are the literal definition of deceit and insanity and I just find their whole story intriguing. And maybe I just love sob stories. P.S. I chose the Reshiram route just cuz want to see the world burn simply because it was best for Taka. Sure, would Taka still being in Team Meteor give the player character and friends (I use the term friends loosely) an advantage? Sure. But clearly Taka is unhappy with it. He's scared, if anything. And I don't blame him. Who knows what could happen? But I refuse to feed Taka's bad habit. And even in the Dragon's Den, with a sword through his chest, he seemed happy. Happier than he ever was with Team Meteor. Rest in peace my timid insurgent friend. EDIT: Now that I think of it, it could be possible that Titania struck a deal with Team Meteor that would ensure Amaria's safety.

Do you like the Map to rotate or the emblem that is your character?
Dragoknight replied to Wolfox's topic in Gaming General
Nope. Can't stand when the map rotates. When I'm playing an open world RPG, when I'm exploring, it helps a lot when I take glance at the mini map and figure out which way is north without a second thought. Just the way I think really. I pay attention more to the cardinal direction I'm moving towards than the actual path I take to get there. When it comes to more intense games that require you to think fast, I don't think it really matters, but I suppose a mini map that adjusts so you can more clearly see the path you're taking could help. -
Nah, Amaria's at full blown psychopathy at this point. Literally tried to murder the player character. Just in case that slipped your mind. Damn it Jess... You're just too good for us.

@NickCrash Oh yeah. Forgot the whole "Gardevoir was there" thing. The point still stands that he used the situation with El to gain more information from him. By no means is it useless. Well put.
-
@Hycrox That's the thing though. Luna ran away, and one day just showed up there. For all we know, Ramodus has no knowledge of El or what the keystones are. I believe he says that Luna doesn't talk about her past, so there is no way for Ramodus to know. Another thing is that El showed up as Serra's gym. El was looking for Luna. If he knew who Ramodus was, he would of immediately left and went to Ramodus. But instead he stayed and learned from Bennett that Luna could be with Ramodus. As for why he went to the Astrae, most likely to actually learn what El was up to. If he could of ended the situation there, he would of done so. He seems to want to please Luna, he would of just had Gardevoir poof back. But this allowed him to learn of the Astrae and what El was after. And the Subseven debacle, again, there is almost no possible way for him to know of its existence. Overall, just assuming he knew everything, which is highly unlikely, is being extremely close minded really. Ever hear of Occam's razor? Why would Ramodus "make us go in circles for no reason"? Your reasoning doesn't really add up other than "I found the whole situation annoying so I don't like him."
-
Ramodus learned that the astrae existed in the first place. He clearly was suprised upon first going down there. Upon allowing El to come back with him, despite that backfiring with Luna's capture, he learned of the Subseven sanctum (maybe not him directly, but he essentially hired the player character to go find Luna and I'm sure Luna told him all about it). And finally, he now knows that the four keystones very important to Team Meteor and will not stop until they get them. I highly doubt Ramodus could of taken care of a cult he had no previous knowledge of. Is he an ass? Sure. But just because you don't like him, it doesn't mean you can downplay his actions. He might have a huge ego but so far he has proven to be the most capable character in terms of getting what they want.
-
I like Ramodus because he seems to know what he wants and clearly he is good at manipulating people in order to achieve his goals. His motives are still left a mystery to us but clearly he knows something that he isn't willing to give up. I wouldn't neccesarily describe the whole Circ de Astaer (spelling?) fiasco "filler" as @Azeria puts it, quite the opposite actually. Ramodus knows that he has the upper hand, so he is simply using the scenario to gain as much information about Team Meteor and El's motives. He isn't the greatest person, as he is willing to use two random kids (how old is Cain anyway), but he clearly knows when to act and when not to. @NickCrash is right. Because of his actions, we now destroyed El's whole Subseven cult. And I think we're all forgetting about Adrienn here. Because he allowed El to escape, we now know of the Circ de Astaer, some crazy time travel deal, and El's plans. And we have a new friend. What I find most interesting is his need to have the Amethyst Pendant (I think it was that one). Clearly his intent doesn't lie with Team Meteor, and he seems confident in the player character's abilities. So why is he holding on to it? He knows something about Team Meteor. And whatever it is, having the Amethyst Pendant will benefit him. I find him absolutely intriguing and all his actions seem extremely well thought out. it's certainly quite refreshing considering a number of characters are clearly not the brightest

@NickCrash You got me at Penisir.

@Gheist @Wolfox End this now. If you have anything to discuss, it can be done so by pm.

@Gheist Cut it out. Now. You're being disrespectful, and that's not welcome here.
-
Don't kid yourself. It's a fact.
-
@Wolfox @Gheist @Jess Ummm..... can we all just try and get along here? Clearly tensions are high but I'm sure no one meant any ill will towards each other. Let's just move on and appreciate the fact that Fern is too good for everyone else to be on this list.

Alright. Because some people *cough NickCrash cough* can't recognize a good region when they see it, I'll fill you all in. So, the Sevii Island region is the area you go to after Blaine's gym in Fire Red/Leaf Green and you get the opportunity to continue to explore the islands postgame. The Fiore region is the region in the first Ranger game. This region features pokemon of the first 3 gens. I'm sure many of you recognize the name "Fiore" as the name of Amaria's mansion. This is because this game has a special mission that allows you to transfer a Manaphy egg to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Almia is the region of the second Ranger game; Shadows of Almia. This region features pokemon from the first 4 gens. Oblivia is the region for the third Ranger game; Guardian Signs. This region feature pokemon from the first 4 gens. Orre is the reigion in which both Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness take place. Both games feature pokemon from the first three gens and are infamous for featuring shadow pokemon. They also have arguably the best character of all Pokemon games, the great Ludicolo master, Mirror B!
