Mim hesitated, slowly detaching herself from Ferdy and then shook her head. "I-I'm sorry, K- no, Phoenix. I just... Like I said. Finding out Crimson was Ria's prince was bad enough. Getting the queen involved like this... I'll come along and everything, don't worry about that. But... I can't interact with them like they're normal people. I'm just a simple merchant. I have nothing in common with people like that. And no right to treat them like..." She cut herself off, forcing a laugh. "Ha. Listen to me. Ha... No, I'll be fine. I just need a bit of time in here away from everyone, that's all."

Mim hugged Ferdy tighter as his words grew sadder. "It will be ok. You're part of the group, right? And... And I'm sure whatever caused all of this wasn't as bad as you're making it out to be. You'll just have to show them what a hero you are and then they'll change their minds! It'll be ok, I promise!"

Mim hesitated. She wasn't supposed to be in this conversation at all. But... She couldn't help herself. She flung herself into a hug with Ferdy, hugging him tight as best she could with their different stature. "Hey, it's ok... You're not a curse. What's in the past is in the past. You've got to think better of yourself, ok? No one here is going to not want to associate with you. And if that Queen is any sort of good person, she'll support you too."

Mim had quietly hidden herself well behind Simeon before the door was opened. Truth be told, all of this was a bit too much for her. It was bad enough Crimson was a prince, no matter what he said about abandoning that life. But now he had a queen that cared enough about him to follow him out here? To offer to protect them? She couldn't handle this anymore. The light and easy relationship she'd had with Crimson... Well. It was pretty clear that wouldn't be able to continue. Not if they were joining up with royalty. No matter what the queen said about him fawning. She needed to get out. Get some fresh air. But not past the queen... She'd seen Kane duck back into the kitchen. She could get out that way and let him know what was going on. Two birds with one stone. She slipped behind everyone, keeping out of sight as best as possible, not wanting to attract attention. She slid into the kitchen just in time to hear Ferdy's confession. "O-oh. I... I'm sorry! I shouldn't have come in here. I just needed to get away from all of that. It was bad enough when Crimson was my prince, now he's bringing a queen here and I can't... I just needed fresh air, you know? I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I promise I won't tell anyone. I'll forget it, I swear!" She knew she was quietly babbling, some part of her brain in enough control to keep her voice quiet enough the others in the main room couldn't hear. But still. How stupid was she? Of course Kane was coming back here to have a private conversation. She shrunk slightly, waiting for the expected outburst of anger.

Mim had meant to say something to Simeon earlier, but Kane had interrupted her before she could. And then... everything had happened. Staring at the scene before her, she turned away from it and walked over to Simeon instead. "Thank you for the bow. It's good. I mean... maybe a bit small. But good! It should do the trick at least for now. Certainly wonderful in the time you had~"

"Aw, hey, don't be like that! It's just breakfast. No need to get all heavy here. And besides, you have to stay fed and strong if you want to help return what you've been given." She smiled and let go of his hand to grab a plate for him. "And hey, don't ever feel bad about talking. Sharing your feelings is good! Otherwise they get all built up and explode like Baldur and Crimson. It's a way to take care of yourself, which is important!"

Mim seemed oblivious to Shin's reaction, simply grinning and continuing to head towards the table. "Oh good! Hmm, maybe some fruit would be good, a nice fresh start. And then lets get you some bacon... Maybe a pancake or two? Anything else you're interested in? I'll probably just stick with some fruit, I can never have too much of a heavy breakfast, but fruit is always good. Oh, eggs! Do you want some eggs too?"

"Alright, breakfast time!" Grabbing Shin's hand, she headed down the stairs. Ignoring the commotion with Baldur (again), she headed for the food. "Alright, what do you want?"

"Ok, but I'm going to help, ok? Many hands make light work!" Oh gods, not more of her mother's sayings. What next? She'd fall in love with someone like her father? Focus. One problem at a time. "Well, we can figure that out later. For now, food. Come on~" With that, she headed out the door, ready for some more good food.

"Ah, er... Yeah... Yeah. There's this new guy. I don't remember his name. He 'proved' himself by stealing a bunch of stuff from us with wind magic. Makes me think we need to set up more guards. Or move spots. If someone can sneak up on us so easily. Anyways... Hmm, guessing that instrument was yours? Unless it was the ribbon but like... Well maybe. Either way, all the stuff is downstairs. You can get it after breakfast, don't worry!" She smiled at him, glad he was willung to listen. "If you want, I can do some tidying up while you eat, but I really think you should be doing a lot of this. It goes better if we take charge of our own areas, you know?" Oh gods she was sounding like her mother. But that was what Shin seemed to need, so that's what she would do!

Mim sighed looking around the room. This wasn't as bad as Crimson had made it out to be but... She shook her head. "Right then. We're getting some food into you first, but then we're going to need to figure out what we're doing about this room. You have to take better care of yourself! You're a valuable member of this team after all. And people care about you. You don't want to be making Liza worry about you, do you?"

"Shin, are you ok? Hang on, I'll be right in!" Rushing over to her shared room with Liza, she grabbed one of the few items that she hadn't lost. Her backpack, mostly empty at this point, as they had stolen her herbs, but tucked deep in a hidden bottom were her brewing implements. And more relevant, a small canteen of water that she had refilled last night. She always kept some on her as it was vital to most of the mixtures she made. Rushing back, she pushed open his door, and ran over to him. "Here, take a drink. It's just some water, don't worry." She was so focused on him that it took her a few seconds to notice the state of the rest of the room. "O-oh... Oh Shin..."

Mim had winced when Arthur came in yelling, but he had thankfully calmed down. It seemed like he was busy talking to Ferdy anyways, but something their new thief had said was echoing in Mim's brain. Need to go check on someone... Shin! Shin hadn't come down yet, and that had slipped past her too easily. If she was going to help him, she needed to notice things like that! She turned around and headed back up the stairs. Kane didn't need her anymore. That had been about the coat. Nothing more. So she needed to focus on Shin. Crimson was fine without her. Shin needed help. Not Crimson. Reaching his room, she knocked on the door and called out, "Shin? Are you awake? It's time for breakfast, you should come down! It's the most important meal, you know. Helps the whole day feel better!"

Min frowned slightly at that request but decided to not question it. Following Kane downstairs, the frown deepened at the sight. "I would give that coat back, whoever you are. You clearly took it from my room but it's not mine and I don't make any promises about what the owner of it will do if he finds you with it. And I can't say I would be inclined to stop him." It wasn't her place to stop him anyways. He was a prince, he could do what he wanted. Though speaking of Crimson, where was he? His couch was empty...

"Yeah! We'll help him, get him some new clothes, maybe have Fey toss him into the lake if he doesn't take a bath... But it's fine! We'll help Shin feel better about himself and look better while we're at it. I bet his hair could use a brush, I'll have to do that at some point... It can suck to brush your hair when it's all tangled and everything... We've totally got this!"

"Oh, was that something bad? I could go mess with her if you want! Make her trip over something that isn't there, make her see silly things? Or we could keep focused I guess..." It was clear from his tone that he thought that choice was the boring one. "And why is that a surprise? I mean... Your hair is very fluffy! It's great! And I guess your face is nice... I don't know, do people care about those sorts of things?"
-
Mim smiled. "That's awesome. It's really cool to hear how much you want to help people! I think anyone that's willing to stand up for the weaker people who can't do it themselves is a great. It's nice to see that we ended up with a good group of people. Well, at least a mostly good group..." She trailed off awkwardly, staring down at the ground and then quickly changed the subject. "Speaking of good people, do you want to help me help Shin? I feel like... Well, I feel like some people have obviously accepted his current situation, including himself. And I want to try and push him to take care of himself. I think he can do it, he just needs support!"

"Well you're free to rant if you want! I like hearing about what people are passionate about, just like I enjoy talking about the things I care about! If you have something that's important to you, you shouldn't apologize for it. That's the way I see it at least. Well... Unless you're being rude about it. But that's a more general thing. Which is why I was glad to see Crimson apologize to Justine. He's a good guy, he just..." She sighed. "Well, I think he has a lot of baggage. He seems so sweet around me and then he just loses it around the next person. Hopefully being in the group will be good for him... But yes. Never apologize for the things you're passionate about!"

"Well good. That sounds like something I can get behind. I don't want Ria getting involved with any sort of war..." She frowned, thinking about Crimson. His father... He had to be involved in all of this. No wonder Crimson was getting involved in the group. It was an easy way to get back at his dad... Still, it couldn't be easy, could it? Crimson getting involved in all of this. Well, it was his place to worry about, not hers. He knew what he was doing, being a prince and all. "I'm glad that you found a group to support your beliefs. And, I have to say, we did appreciate the help. As much as we were doing well, it was always nice to have support. Besides, I'd rather have met you than not, so it all worked out in the end, right? It was something good for both of us in the end."

"Oh good! Yes, I'm excited about meeting everyone, it seems like they all want to make friends for the most part." She flopped down on the ground, aware of the yelling below and trying to ignore it. "I do want to know more about the goals of this group though. I mean... I know vaguely. But I was never too involved with politics back home. With it being a kingdom and all, there wasn't much reason to. We were much more focused on our work. So while we heard of Virtuous once or twice, it wasn't something big."

"Ooo, that could work! You could act like you wanted to learn from him! You have a spear and everything, so it's clear you're a fighter. Maybe you're traveling to find different knights to learn from, or something like that. And I can be... Well..." They frowned, thinking it over. Normally his solution would be to go invisible. But she'd asked him to not leave her alone... So that was out. "Maybe I'm just your friend or something. Since he can't really teach me much since I use magic... Unless I pretend I want to learn how to use a sword or something."
-
"Hmm... Ooo, we could pretend there's a big old bad monster outside! Like a dragon! Or, there was someone I knew once who had a magical wyvern. They were super cool but looked really scary. The wyvern I mean. Gwyn is... Well, Gwyn is Gwyn! But they're not scary. The wyvern is though! I bet we could pretend something like that was attacking! Or maybe we could pretend we had a message for Lancelot? Hmm... I don't know, usually my plans involve tricking people. I could try and illusion up a dragon, but that'd be hard to do something that big..."
