  1. I'm not so sure if goldeen/seaking will be able to pull their weight in the upcoming battles, you might be better off with a stronger water type like seismitoad. The added ground type makes it an off brand swampert but it'll still prove valuable.
  2. 1. Get a vulpix from the dude in the circus (trade it for stunfisk). Soft reset until you have a vulpix with heat wave and, again, solid stats in sp. atk and speed. Make sure its ability is drought, you can use ability capsules if it isn't drought to begin with. Change your charizard's ability to solar power if it isn't. (1.5: If you've joined Aqua gang, finish the Job Application questline to acquire Choice Specs.) 2. Evolve and EV train vulpix until it's about level 87. (Give the choice specs to ninetales.) 3. Spam heat wave with ninetales and charizard while the sun is out. If charizard's heat wave didn't finish the job, ninetales' heat wave will. Also, level your pokemon down a couple levels. If they get to level 91 in the first two battles you're basically boned.
  3. Games are a great way to get your mind off of things!
  4. Sooooo how have you all been keeping yourselves occupied during this worldwide crisis?
  5. I personally never stick to 6 main pokemon because Reborn poses lots of different battles which require different strategies. Adding it to your roster depending on the upcoming battle will definitely help you in the future.
  6. The harshest thing about her battle is the field effect. If you can manage to change it then you can beat her with a rock type and probably your Krookodile.
  7. Snorlax! He's proven very useful and can really wall it out when you need to heal/revive different mons in your party. He's also a force to be reckoned with if you manage to pull off a couple curses. You can also run belly drum on it. You can pick up a munchlax in Calcenon.
  8. Mind you, it actually costs 3 heart scales instead of 1. They changed the mechanic but they forgot to edit the text.
  9. Changing the field to your advantage (or her disadvantage) is always a viable strat in any battle.
  10. You're welcome! I'm glad it worked out for you!
  11. Golisopod looks pretty prehistoric to me.
  12. As of E18, the following mega stones are obtainable: Abomasite Absolite Aerodactlylite Aggronite Altarianite Amphorosite Audinite Banettite Beedrillite Blastioseite Cameruptite Charizardite X Galladite Gardevoirite Glalitite Heracronite Houndoominite Kangaskhanite Loppunite Magnectite Mawilite Medichamite Pidgeotite Pinsirite Sablenite Sceptilite Steelixite Venusaurite
  13. That's an amazing strat! I just used endeavor and chipped away the last bit of damage. How many times did you have to soft reset for this to work?
  14. At the bottom of the circus, there's this child with an old man. Talk to the child and he'll mention something about wanting a doll. Go play the high striker game until you win a pokedoll. Give said pokedoll to the child and the man will give you the field note as a reward. It's recommended that you save before playing the high striker game and soft reset after a couple strikes so you don't lose too much money.
  15. It all comes down to strategy in this battle. You can also play around with field effects, sending in the right mon at the right time, or just keep soft resetting in hopes that the RNG doesn't completely fuck you over.
  16. Beating that battle is really easy with the right approach. Like you, I struggled a lot with the battle until I came up with this strategy: 1. Get a larvesta with some solid stats in sp. atk and speed (rock climb in beryl cave) 2. Get a vulpix from the dude in the circus (trade it for stunfisk). Soft reset until you have a vulpix with heat wave and, again, solid stats in sp. atk and speed. Make sure its ability is drought, you can use ability capsules if it isn't drought to begin with. 3. If you've joined Aqua gang, finish the Job Application questline to acquire Choice Specs. 4. Evolve and EV train larvesta and vulpix until they're about level 87. (this will take a LOT of time if you don't use cheats.) Give the choice specs to ninetales. 5. Spam heat wave with both mons while the sun is out. If Volcarona's heat wave didn't finish the job, ninetales' heat wave will. Side note: make sure to put volcarona in the first spot. If you manage to pull off 2 quiver dances in the fight with Luna she's basically done for if you spam bug buzz.
  17. I never even thought of using hacked mons for breeding... Thanks for the advice, I'll see what I can do with my exeggcute from a couple years ago
  18. It won't react to it. A couple years ago there was this easter event and they handed out shiny exeggcute with 150 base power moves as a prank. Since the exeggcute had 0 IVs in every stat it wasn't very useable.
  19. Vikavolt isn't all that bad, 145 sp atk is amazing. The 43 speed is what makes it challenging to use. If you have a pokemon that can set up trick room or tailwind, vikavolt is a joy to use. Levitate also comes in clutch against ground types.
  20. Joltik might not pull his weight but I'm sure galvantula will. I wouldn't necessarily replace anyone in your team. Most of reborn players have a team of rotating mons they use for specific battles. Just adjust your team accordingly to the challenge.
  21. Since you tried using a previous save file, I assume the problem lies in your main Reborn folder. I'd recommend downloading the game from the website again and launching the game from the new folder. You'll still be able to access all of your save files. You can always delete the old reborn folder if it takes up too much space or if it gets confusing.
  22. At night, you can pick up either a joltik or a grubbin in one of the appartment buildings in peridot. In your case I'm hoping it's a joltik. You can also catch poochyena in some alleyways, mightyena with intimidate could come in clutch sometimes. I've also heard people actually use a kricketune set with fury cutter so that might be worth looking into. Part of what makes reborn fun is experimenting with pokemons you wouldn't normally use. I'm currently at the end of the game and a simple pokemon like Cinccino is really pulling their weight.
  23. It's intentional, it gives variety to certain places. You'll hear it a lot more throughout the game.
