  1. Proditor Though Proditor was merely hovering where he was in a misty form, the alien took in the Heartless' new form. Truly, the creature did function as a hive of entities, each adding on their own strengths while ironing out each other's weakness. An effective strategy for normally weak creatures, but with one noticeable flaw: It grouped them all together. A weakness Proditor was well suited to exploit. Due to a temporary lack of a physical body, Proditor did not need to spend time opening his helmet or gesturing at his target. Instead a vortex of psionic energy suddenly appeared around the Genji Armor, offering just enough time for the alien's allies to notice and back off before it collapsed on top of the Heartless. Proditor drops a Rift upon the Genji Armor, dealing 3d8+24 damage. Additionally, Proditor also forces a check against his Int*1.5 (36) vs their essence, inflicting a 50% miss chance for 1 turn if they fail.
  2. In response to the Guard Armor's preperation, Proditor chooses to peace out, using Ethereal Body to become untargetable for two turns.
  3. Proditor "Understood" was all that came from the alien as Proditor focused on the Guard Armor. Knowing that it was six separate entities was good information. It gave them weaknesses, once that could be exploited. However, although he could theoretically cripple the beast, he opted to wait, allowing the Guard Armor to show its habits and movement before he struck. Instead, he simply lifted a hand, firing a lance of psionic energy at the Heartless' leg. A test, nothing more, nothing less. Proditor uses Psionic Lance, sending a bolt of energy straight into the Guard Armor's Left Leg, dealing 3d6+10 damage.
  4. Proditor Following the pure chaos following the destruction of the barrier, Proditor took it upon himself to relax a bit, staying out of the way of those wishing to enjoy their newfound time together. At least, he tried to, until Jun contacted him with the hope of him helping deal with a 'Heartless' issue. It was a term he felt was familiar, but couldn't quite place his finger on it, opting to see for himself what Jun was referring to. As such, following the given direction, the ancient alien arrived at the wellspring a few moments after the others did, taking in the roaring waterfall and deep shadows within the water. An unnatural sight, unless there was something lurking below the surface. Still, the place put him on edge. Even if he couldn't see, he could feel how unnatural this area was just from being within it.
  5. Freya "Awesome, I'll be back in a flash" Freya said as Henry got back on its four legs, shaking itself like a wet dog before Freya sent it through another portal, allowing the young Necromancer to stand back up and rush to the store Spiderman pointed towards. Despite the work done to fortify the store however, Freya was oddly absent, seeming to have vanished in the clothing store. At least for a short while before she reappeared, a new black, belted coat layered over her ruined dress, "Okay, there's a lot more stuff here than I was expecting, but I think this should do the trick. It even has a few pockets for all my-" Freya commented as she walked to the front of the store, showing off how cool her new coat was until she noticed the music, stamping feet, and shouting, "... Wait, what did I miss?"
  6. Mira Though initially left without much of an answer, Mira shrugged as she took her communicator, both for the fact that their contractor was calling them and for the fact that it urged someone to answer her question, "We're fine. Brave has been eliminated" she informed, pausing for a moment before making a motion that seemed to resemble a sigh, ".... However, Iowa has lost her combat effectiveness due to being away from the sea. Would it be possible for you to send her to a harbor in order to recuperate?"
  7. Osada "Yeah, that's a possibility I've come to accept" Osada replied with nothing more than a shrug, watching the wolf-eared tengu fly out from her resting place to meet some newcomers, seeming to be a Japanese woman in a detective's outfit with black wings (another tengu it seemed?), an girl with a blue apron, and a scantily dressed... Fairy? That's the conclusion Osada got from the wings. Certainly odd, but with the knowledge of what Gensokyo was, not too surprising. However, his focus wasn't entirely on the newcomers, instead focused on the one named Momiji, scanning the tengu's weaponry despite the distance. A sword and board, a common combination for more defensive duelists. He fought a few fighters like that before, but none outright used magic or were inhuman to begin with. His experience against that style would only play a small factor in a duel with someone like that. Though, this was also not taking into account the "spell card" rules that he may have to abide, something he had no knowledge or experience in aside from "think of your techniques as magical bullet patterns". But even with that against him, Osada always considered himself a quick learner, putting faith with his talents that would hopefully close the gap, if there was one. "Hm, seems like fate's making things up to you for making you miss out, Sanae" Osada commented as the two reached the others, offering a casual salute to them with his free hand, "one person walking in without any warning, and another outright looking to talk to you" he continued, leaving out the possibility of what will happen in short order.
  8. Proditor For a moment, Proditor was surprised to see so many monsters suddenly appear, from ones he had never seen to familiar ones like the scientist Alphys and the skeleton that had appeared to pay for them. Yet it was the same surprise, along with noticing the confused look upon Alphys' face, that put Proditor on edge. Why were there so many monsters here at once? The scientist and humanoid fish he could get, they were already coming, but why the rest? And if Alphys had brought them... Then why did she seem confused? To him, it didn't add up, in the midst of the friendly words between monsters and humans, Proditor simply focused on Alphys' mind, quickly scanning it over to see just what she was confused about, all so he could potentially find an answer.
  9. Proditor As Asgore took in the sight of his children, the Ethereal rapidly vanished from here he floated, teleporting just behind the King of Monsters and facing the seven soul containers. In a way, he was somewhat relieved that Nader's soul was being preserved, as tragic as their situation had been what felt like mere moments ago. It certainly was a surprise to see the Barrier still intact, only due to Asgore's hesitance to finish the job. Still, focusing on the situation at hand, Proditor remained on edge, slightly turning to face Asgore even as his mind's eye rapidly expanded, ensuring the perimeter's safety, "She is correct, King Asgore. Trust in me when I say that what you've done, in this context, is not nearly enough to condemn yourself to death" he stated, his helmet seeming to drill a piercing gaze into Asgore's being. Ultimately they were both fairly similar. Asgore had killed seven humans to free his people, innocent lives that had no right to die. Proditor had ended an uncountable number of lives and species as ADVENT's head general, his decisions and actions made in the belief that he was protecting the universe as a whole, rather than just Angelis' goal of conquest. Yet he stood with his head high, determined to atone for his mistakes, while Asgore stood ready to face the consequences here and now. A coward's way out... One that would not be granted by their hands this day. "Lucine, you need not push yourself. I can likely handle this task myself" Proditor commented shortly after Lucine stepped forward, albeit without making a physical move to stop her.
  10. Proditor Proditor could... Somewhat agree with Toriel's statement on humanity being foolish. Promising and capable as they were, most ran off of their emotions... Though he could hardly say he was any different. He could've ended the entirety of this situation at its source if he had been more focused, and without hesitation. But that was simply in the past, nothing he could do now would change that, aside from ensuring that things did not devolve any further than they already have. With the new knowledge of the situation, as explained by one of the goat children, Proditor nodded without a single complaint, understanding the severity of the situation. Then he simply floated back, turning around and swiftly heading through the resort doors and towards the next path. After all, there was no time to waste, and even with Proditor's limited understanding of the intricacies of this world, it was still clear that there would be massive consequences towards Asgore's 'ascension'.
  11. Osada ... Shit, he managed to cross into the Reverse Side of the World. Or at least a version of it. He had heard theories about its existence, but to have it proved real in front of him, by having him manage to end up there while trying to scale a mountain? Insanity, yet here he was, processing the fact that he was there, "That... Explains quite a bit. The magic in the air, the yokai... It's rather..." Osada trailed off for a moment, in deep thought before he suddenly nodded, all seriousness draining from his face as he sported a grin, "refreshing, in all honesty. Here I thought my day couldn't get any better after meeting an adorable young lady, and dueling a tengu. Speaking of, how far are we from where this Momiji lives?" he continued, his tone never changing as he glossed over what he said before. A world of lost arts and forgotten spirits... Without a doubt, there was bound to be plenty of chances to test and improve his blade. He could already feel the excitement just from thinking about it.
  12. Proditor Everything that transpired did so in the span of brief moments, adding onto each other to further the alien's delay as it processed just what was going on. Rachel pointing her guns at the children, before dropping into a prayer, before something, presumably the God-Emperor Rachel spoke about during her time around him, spoke as if through a device; yet also through the same form that Proditor spoke in, followed by Rachel attempting to 'atone' by shooting herself in the head. Which failed. With only a small tilt of his helmet, Proditor let out a physical sigh, his ragged breath seeping out of his helmet. This world was truly an odd experience, what with its gods and magic. He preferred consistency over the chaos that had been unfolding in front of him.
  13. Osada "I can understand the feeling" Osada comments, nodding in agreement with Sanae's frustration on not being able to see someone annoying getting beat up, "Though I don't think that really answered the question of 'what' happened" he added shortly after, focusing on that question even as his attention was being dragged away from the massive amount of mana in the air, to the point where he could physically feel its hum through his magical circuitry with every breath. Even at his birthplace, a workshop built upon several leylines to support the construction of a Heroic Spirit vessel, there wasn't nearly as much mana present. He had been distracted before, but he was sure that there was the same feeling back at the Shrine, just more concentrated and unbelievable. He had gone through bounded fields before, and none of them had this level of concentrated mana, and if there was this much mana in one location then certainly he would've known about it before, bounded field or not. ... Something was off. "... More important question, but you said earlier that I was from the 'Outside'. I figured that you meant it as a sort of... From the Mage's Association, and that this place is a cut off branch made to hide someone's workshop. But the more I hear from you the more I begin to doubt that it's that simple. What exactly is this place's nature? Is it an advanced form of a bounded field, like a Reality Marble?" Osada asked, waving his hand as he tried to offer his own theories. He likely sounded mad, trying to figure out how mage's choose to set up their magic fields and secret bases, but this mystery was starting to eat at him more than his excitement to fight another swordswomen.
  14. Proditor Without a care towards what happened behind him, Proditor floated out of the alleyway... Just as the rest of the group he had arrived with came into view of the Resort, along with three goats monsters, one adult and two children. It seemed that things were finally reaching their end, now that they were all back together and at reasonable strength, "A pleasure to see you all again, you arrived faster than I expected" Proditor commented, coming to a halt a bit away from the alleyway's entrance.
  15. Proditor Although Proditor had remained utterly silent for most of the conversation, it was easy to tell how much the alien stiffened upon hearing the fact that they were 'hyped' for humanity's destruction. Although not his own world, Proditor instantly felt the urge to shatter both of the monster's minds with a wave of his hand, ensure that they would not be a threat to humanity any further. It should not have been a surprise that some monsters would feel eradicate humanity after being trapped in a prison for many years, along with the death of their Prince. But thus far, Proditor had seen the monsters as relatively harmless, in a way, for the most part. Asgore was an exception, the leader who simply wanted to free his people, forced to take an option of death and blood due to it being the only one available. In hindsight, he was a fool to think that was the case of the Underground. "Lucine, I believe it's time we get a move on" was all he said as spun around, barely giving Lucine a moment to response before he began floating away. There was only so much he could handle from the two's overlapping yammering, and there was still the unsolved matter of Asgore and Nader.
  16. Osada With a brand new guide, Osada follows Sanae's lead, taking in the sight of the mountain pass as they went, "Hm... I'll take your advice then. I suppose I should ask what kind of 'incident' happened? From how you said it, I'm led to believe that it's a common occurrence for something go wrong" he asked, aiming to make some small talk while the two made their way to Momiji. He wouldn't be surprised if this 'incident' was related to another Phantasmal Beast. Which was odd in its own right, but oddness was never much of a concern to him.
  17. Osada In response to Sanae's comment on 'spell card rules', the wandering swordsman blinked as he wrapped his head around it, "I've handled my fair share of dueling the unnatural, but I'm not familiar with a 'spell card' duel" he admitted, furrowing his brow as he tried to make sense of it. At least, until he simply shrugged, "Ah well, I'm sure it can't be too complicated. Facing a 'wolf tengu' in a duel is too good of a chance to waste. So," Osada continued with cheerful energy, his hand dropping from his chin and hanging by his side as he turned to look down the mountain path, "how far down do I need to travel before I meet this 'Momiji'? Unless you actually wish to come along for some fun."
  18. Proditor Once again silent in the face of Opal's scene, Proditor floats up to the pair and Lucine, listening to the two speak over each other time and time again. He was mostly making sure Lucine/Opal didn't cause any further trouble, especially the flying box, and any desire to speak was quickly killed off by the obnoxious giggling of the two monsters before him.
  19. Osada At Sanae's comment, Osada brought his own hand to his chin, putting together the puzzle pieces before nodding to himself, "I see, so I did pass through a Bounded Field" he commented, still missing the actual explanation for ending up at the Shrine, before pausing at Sanae's possible explanation for how he managed to pass through. It wasn't completely accurate, seeing as how he was technically still a child by most standards, neither was he much of a mage, but the overall observation was eerily close to being accurate, "You've got a good eye Sanae, though I'm admittedly not that good at actual Magecraft. Name's Osada Tsuneo, a pleasure to meet you" Osada continued, taking a single step back in order to perform an elaborate bow to the Shrine Watcher, "So, being direct here, does there happen to be a swordsman of some kind around here? I came all this way for a duel and I'd hate to have my travels go to waste. Especially when I bought so much in preparation that turned out to be useless..." he asked, muttering out the last part in a resigned tone.
  20. Mira Finally catching her breath, Mira pushed herself onto her feet, keeping a hand resting on her sword's pommel as she stared into the sky. As much as she hated to admit it, Brave's last words struck her in a way that she couldn't describe. She was smart enough to note the similarities between the two, weapons of war designed to follow orders and destroy. Yet Brave, a machine with no humanity to speak of, developed enough sense to fight back and act on their own. Despite living to the role of a cold, emotionless, weapon, Mira couldn't help but keep going over his words, raging through her mind and making her begin question herself. ... Not as a person, however, but rather as a weapon. Though she had won, she was letting herself be vulnerable enough to let a machine plant seeds of doubt in a mind that had long sense become used to her role. She was still lacking in her goal, which merely meant that she'd have to keep working on stamping out her pesky emotions for good. Yes, that's the lesson she had to take from Brave's death. Giving herself a short nod, Mira tore Black Heart from the ground, clipping it to her waist as she made sure to grab Brave's fallen weapon, dragging it behind her as she slowly walked over the edge of the crater. At the top, her helmet's dark void hid her eyes as she took in what had happened while she was in there, namely Iowa's apparent lack of health, "... And what's up with her?" Mira asked, the modified deep and masculine voice now gone, mostly since the Dark One couldn't be bothered to keep it up for now. She had little Magra left as it was.
  21. Freya With the last of the Deadites now a bloody mess, Freya was able to get to her feet without much problem, tapping her staff on the ground twice in order to cause a portal to reappear in front of Dyno, allowing the bear to slink back into its home before promptly closing, along with the walking constructs falling back to the floor in a heap of dirt, rock and other assorted junk. At the same time, the holes in her outfit that lingers from the two killing shots were quickly covered up by a mass of black tendrils, "Yeah no, they were more like conjurations. I think. At that point they were kinda blurring the line" Freya admitted, walking towards the still body of her poor Skag, placing a hand on it to feed more of her magic into it, "I can have my bats fly around to search for survivors, but... Uh, is there anywhere I could get like, a cloak or something?" Freya uses Necromancy on Henry's corpse, forcing a Essence(10) vs Halved Res (2.5 with Henry's old Resistance) in order to revive her dog. Necromancy stats:
  22. Osada "'I suppose you could say that, never been to this mountain until now. As for how I got up, well, kinda hard to say, but I'm fairly certain that I didn't fly at all. More just walked until I made it here" Osada replied with a shrug, "I started at a forested base, but like I said, I've managed to get a bit lost, land kept seeming to shift and morph and whatnot. Barely resembled the map I bought at all just for the climb" He added, bringing his raised hand to the back of his head in order to scratch, mostly out of annoyance.
  23. Osada "Ooo...Kay, map said nothing about a ridge here. Or a shrine. Pretty sure there was supposed to be snow here too..." Osada muttered to himself, rotating the map in his hands several ways as he tried to make sense of where he was. From experience he knew he was not too bad with directions. Granted, he wasn't a master at following them, but he could tell which way was North and when he made a wrong turn. Yet at this point he was completely lost, without a clue as to where his path went or where he was. Backtracking had just found him in completely new areas instead of the same places he walked through. He was also pretty sure he saw a large, armored swordsman, which would normally be enough to excite Osada's lust for combat... If not for the fact that he couldn't find any trace of them when he went to investigate. Not even tracks. At this point, Osada wouldn't be surprised if he was just going insane. ... Or perhaps he accidentally walked through a Bounded Field? That might explain the phenomena occurring right now. Suppressing a sigh of annoyance, Osada folded up the map, returning it to the bag on his back as he made his way to the now visible path of the mountain, conveniently right to the side of what appeared to be a Shrine Maiden, albeit one with a strangely colored attire. Ah well, they seemed to be a resident of the place, so it wouldn't hurt to try and talk to them. Unless they were the mage supplying the Bounded Field and would try to kill him for being an intruder, then it might hurt. "Hey there little lady, sorry to interrupt your staring contest, but I'm a bit hopelessly lost. I don't suppose you could tell me where I've found myself?" Osada called out, stopping just a few meters away from the girl, one hand resting on the sheathe of Kanshou while the other was raised as a greeting. No point in spooking the poor lady by his sudden appearance, he'd gotten enough of an earful from people when he did that.
  24. Proditor For a self proclaimed failure, what Burgerpants had said gave Proditor quite a bit of information on the situation, the name of their sudden, skeletal benefactor being just one of them. Namely, the dream of leaving was the one thing keeping everyone down here going, a hope that was finally within their reach. He would admit that this 'Mettaton' sounded awful, telling others how bad they are, even for one mistake, was not a thing Proditor could approve of. "I believe we are fine. Keep holding onto that hope, it is likely closer to fruition than you would believe" Proditor stated, as still and calm as ever while giving his sympathy for the poor soul. With that though, Proditor spun around, floating out of the restaurant, moving to the side of the door and patiently waiting for Lucine to follow.
  25. Proditor Proditor could care less about the disgruntled cat's appearance, or the fact that he was smoking without much hesitation. What he did care about was the skeleton that suddenly appeared next to them, slapped some money down, and proceeded to disappear shortly after. Complete with his psionic signature, something inherit in almost every living thing, vanished completely as soon as he left the building. However, once more, he was brought out of his thoughts by Lucine, "Yes, we would like one Legendary Hero" he confirmed, returning to the fairly calm and stoic voice he was known for.
