  1. Harmony She had been given a deal. One that she had no real reason to take, but one she had taken anyway. A promise to find something new to observe, now that her original purpose had been met. Something to give her meaning. Had she known about where that man would have dropped her though, she might've denied the offer outright. Already her opinion on the place was quite low, and she couldn't even see outside of the stinking lavatory. The cold air was hardly a factor, but if she wasn't built upon centuries of experience, she would've physically gagged at the smell. Gods, did no one clean up after themselves here? That didn't even count the decaying bodies that seeped into the shack. ... She needed to get out of this wretched place. Without anymore hesitation, Harmony burst out of the lavatory, taking in a deep breath of the somewhat cleaner air as she looked at her surroundings. Mostly what seemed like a camp made out of metal scraps rather than anything that could be useful for the cold. However, her attention is quickly drawn to the mass of bodies dotting the area, both on the ground (having clearly been shot to death, more or less), and others hung up on poles, frozen from exposure. Not only that, but there were several beings that she could already see walking around, no doubt related to the sights. A child, a goddess, a... Thing, and a doll. The latter of which was currently getting sprayed by the contents of a barrel. Great, these were the locals of this world. "So, am I to presume that you ladies are the ones responsible for these corpses?" Harmony called out, folding an arm on her stomach as she stepped into the middle of the camp, gaze shifting from one individual to the next as she spoke.
  2. Grima After two seconds of taking in the situation, Grima immediately brought the pill to her mouth, swallowing it without a bit of hesitation. Then, as the effects began to kick in, Grima began slowly advancing upon Seeker, hands free and ready to snatch the target once she got close enough to do so, or as soon as something began to happen. The man did say that there would be a brief moment where it would cut off Seeker's senses before transporting her. She just didn't know if that was happening right now.
  3. Mira ... Fantastic, no response from the other line. The only sounds she could've heard as the call hung up was the busy sounds of the evac team and gunfire and shrieks of some kind of animal ahead of her. Although she didn't see it immediately, it didn't take long for Mira to see what was causing the ruckus as she stepped around the corner... A floating plaid dolphin of sorts, fighting Lyra, Perlita, and Atton. She had only been gone for a few minutes at most and yet here they were, picking yet another fight. If they didn't have time to kill, she would've been annoyed by this fact, despite her own love of fighting. As it stood though... She had time to kill. As quickly as she had retrieved it, the phone vanished as Mira picked up her pace, drawing her sword in preparation for battle. She'd ask her questions later, but for now, a dolphin needed to die. Mira attacks the Plaid Dolphin, if given the chance, with Black Heart, dealing 6d8+Strength(11) damage, gaining one charge of Greed. In addition, she uses the Helmet of Judge to cast Libra, revealing the Dolphin's HP and a small blurb of information (if possible). She also enters the battle against the Plaid Dolphin with 4/8 Magra, and will gain an extra bit of magra in three turns. Noticable effects right now: Unstable (Flaw) Mira is the carrier of the prototype Magra generator, which can become unstable if met with other instances of magic. Any magic attack that connects with Mira deals 50% more damage. (Equipment) Mira’s Armor: The armor of the “Dark One”, Mira. Rusted, old, and cracked, yet durable enough to continue protecting its user from harm. Gives +4 Damage Reduction against Piercing/slashing attacks, and gives a +1 Damage Reduction against all physical attacks, but lowers initiative by 4-Strength (to a minimum of 0). Loadout
  4. Walmond At Remilia's entrance, Walmond had turned from the scenery around her (the decor and architecture again, not at the current introduction to a newcomer in their midst), putting a foot back to return Remilia's curtsy with her own, "It's a pleasure to properly meet you, Miss Scarlet" she stated, before standing back up and moving to one of the seats, sitting down just as Sakuya came in with prepared tea cups. It was a bit odd how quickly the tea was made, unless they had it ready on demand, but Walmond wasn't going to complain about being prepared, "Thank you Miss Izayoi" Walmond replied as she took her cup of tea. She would admit that she was never a huge tea fan, mostly because coffee was more to her liking, but it was naturally rude to deny a beverage when they had already invited themselves in... Disregarding the fact that it had been stated numerous times that the mansion was not a place for humans.
  5. Grima Somehow, Grima wasn't too surprised to see Seeker in the final room she checked. It was almost natural for that to have been the case. Regardless, as soon as she had taken in Seeker's presence, Grima slipped back outside, taking a few steps back in order to retrieve the bag of pills from her jacket (and take one out) without alerting the god. For a brief moment, she considered why she was so willing to do all this. Sure, doing a bit of spying in case something was going wrong was fairly natural, and most of all safe, but she was still relying on the word of someone she knew nothing about. ... In the end, she could only trust her gut instinct, and her instinct told her that this was something she had to do, or at least delay. So, pill in hand, Grima nudged the door open a bit more, keeping herself lowered to the ground as she took careful steps into the room. At the very least, she'd have to move into the room enough to see if Seeker did have this Access Attain. If she didn't, well, no harm done, she could leave without anymore trouble... Besides having to figure out who did have it. If she did, then she'd take the pill and wait for her moment to strike.
  6. Freya As soon as the undead forms clawed their way out of the ground, all of them began shambling towards the Necromaster, a single thought from Freya driving them to subdue the so called 'Master of Necromancy'. At the same time, Dyno finally tore the skull off of the skeleton, tossing it to the side as it turned its focus back onto the Necromaster, slowly advancing on the boy, along with everything else. The young Necromancer herself, instead of joining in the fight, began running over to the downed Spider-Man, being careful not to touch the broken glass that surrounded him as she bent down, flinching as she got a good, closer look at his wounds. Strange, considering she was used to dealing with wounded corpses, but something about a living person, especially one that seemed good... Always unnerved her. Regardless, him being on the floor here was not exactly helpful to anyone, especially not for himself, considering how he looked, "Hey there, um, Spider-Man? You think you could move if I gave you a bit of help?" Freya goes to, maybe, help Spider-Man through offering a helping hand, while her 28 zombies move in and attack the Necromaster for 1d2+2 damage each. Should the Necromaster still be up, Dyno will use Pounce on the mage, forcing a strength v strength check (Dyno has 14 strength). If Dyno wins the check, the Necromaster will be pinned. Freya Dyno
  7. Ako "... Oh. So they're world eaters..?" the shrine maiden replied shortly after Mitsu explained, "and here I thought Orochi was the worst kind of demon" she continued, finally leading the group to the the end of the road, marked by a plain torii. For those that didn't immediately follow Ako, they would see her (and anyone else with her) go through the gate... And promptly disappear before they even stepped through the other side. For those that did follow, the lighting of the world changed to a calm white glow the instant they passed through the gate, along with the mountainside quickly fading away to reveal a smoothly carved path that led further into the mountain, open to the sun and marked sparingly by unlit lamp posts. Yet even with the peaceful scenery, there was an ominous wind that blew from the pathway. There definately was something dark waiting for them.
  8. Walmond Well, Walmond couldn't fault the reasoning. Though she didn't understand the problem with Flandre quite yet, Lambda was capable of protecting her if anything went wrong. Or entertaining the other Scarlet. Speaking of Lambda, upon Patchouli's request, Walmond lifted her hand to get the doll's attention, "Lambda, calm yourself" he commanded, earning himself a rather blank stare from the automaton. After a second of that though, Lambda nodded, folding her arms in front of herself and following behind... Only casting glances at the decor of the hall, as if finally taking in the sights. "I appreciate the consideration. I'm sure that I can find material to add to your library. I doubt we'll stay long after meeting with Miss Scarlet, hardly long enough to make use of the library, but I'll make sure to pass by before we leave for good."
  9. Walmond Once the activity had begun, Walmond had gotten quiet, stepping back as Meiling kicked the door down. Not her preferred way of getting in, but that was out of her hands. While the scientist didn't step into the room herself, she did poke her head through the newly made entrance. At the very least, she could recognize that Remilia was the girl in the portraits, thanks to the blue hair that poked out from underneath a mob cap, and very noticeable red eyes. The sight did make her question Remilia's actual age, the paintings seemed very old and she looked as though she had never aged a day since they were made, but that was inconsequential to the matter at hand. Unfortunately, that was all she could think about when Masako went in and proceeded to make the situation worse my actively antagonizing the 'young' girl. Which had as bad of a reaction as one could guess. If nothing else, it seemed to get Remilia's head back in order as the group was forced out and 'escorted' down to a tea room. ... Perhaps she'd have to take a more active role from now on. Isobel could only handle so much before she got overwhelmed. "As we have time, I would like to pose my question to you again, Miss Patchouli. Is this Mansion's library open to humans like I doing their own research? There's theories I'd like to investigate, and a concentrated source of magical knowledge might help me find keys to those theories" Walmond idly asked the fellow mage, while Lambda silently floated behind him, still on high alert as they moved.
  10. Grima With a nod, Grima began to walk out the door, only stopping to swipe a particular dagger from a desk next to it and attaching it to her belt, along with covering it with her jacket. As soon as she was out of the room though, she immediately began to walk down the halls as casually as she could. She wasn't entirely familiar with the layout of the mansion, but even she knew where the meeting rooms were. She just needed to look natural to anyone walking by, at least until she reached the rooms. Then she'd have to peek into said rooms to make sure Seeker was in any of them. If she was? Well, she'd figure out that step once she got there.
  11. Grima "I can figure out how to get myself out with it, don't worry about that" Grima stated as she took the bag of pills, slipping the bag underneath her sleeves due to her lack of pockets, "Should've expected that she would be holding on to it right now though. You know where she is about now? Or am I going to have to find her on my own?" she continued as she stepped around the man, gaining a clear path to the door. Time was clearly of the essence here, so she was ready to get to work as soon as she could.
  12. Ako "So... Another Kami and a Queen. Or the equivalent of one at least. Well, I can see that Amaterasu spared no expense in sending help" Ako stated after a long pause to decipher the two's story. Mostly Lexiel's, because there was a lot to unpack there, "It sounds like you've had a tough time, however I have to ask, what are these 'Trespassers' you refer to? I'm assuming they're a sort of demon, considering you've been fighting them, but the only kind of trespassers I've dealt with are people trying to rob the shrine or kids sneaking in."
  13. Grima While the man had her attention, Grima was still taken aback once he said who (at least, as far as he knew) stole the Access Attain, "Seeker? That's..." she started, only to trail off. She recalled her conversation with Queen a while back. About Nil, about what the winner's final challenge against the Tenth God. She couldn't question why one of the Gods would want to go there themselves, since there was far too many reasons. But one of the reasons was very worrying. They were going there to interrupt the duel, in Nil's favor. Practically every fiber of her being told her to send this man off, stay where she was, and wait. Her part in this entire part of history, as small as it was, was over. She didn't have to risk going against one of the Gods directly. But her deal with Queen wasn't over yet. As underhanded as this seemed, it still ran with what Queen had asked her to do. With a fairly agitated sigh, Grima rubbed her eyes, "Well, it's not like I have anything better to do" Grima eventually stated as she stood up, "So, all I have to do is get this thing from Seeker before they get to Nil. Any idea where they're keeping it right now?"
  14. Walmond "Empi, please. Fear of strangers is natural when one of your workers recently tried to kill you" Walmond commented before stepping forward and clearing her throat, "Miss Scarlet, I am Walmond Reigard. My companions and I are currently tasked with dealing with a new problem that has affected this land. Part of that problem found its way to your mansion, resulting in your maid's sudden shift in personality. The cause of this was a piece of an artifact that we had also found with one Marisa Kirisame, if you know of that name. The artifacts warp the holder's mind, and eventually their body, if they are not of a proper bloodline in exchange for power, and as we've experienced so far, this change of personality generally leads to aggressiveness. However, separating the artifacts from their holder has so far shown to quickly remove the influence, and both relics are currently sealed. ... Which means that your maid is far less inclined to stake your heart" the scientist explained, pausing after her final sentence in order to let Remilia, or anyone else, speak. Mostly Remilia, but he had never been too good with sharing his discoveries with speaking.
  15. Mira "Good to know. I'll make sure to inform the others about this. However I should ask, what's the current status on Brave and Magic? Has anything changed with them?" Mira asked as she began walking back into the park. It was a fairly straightforward path to the gropu, at least where they were before, so she didn't have any worries about missing them.
  16. Mira It didn't take long for something to catch Mira's attention. Specifically the phone that had been given to her by Histoire before they had set out to eliminate Trick, as it had begun to ring. While it was difficult to discern where Mira had stored the phone, her armor seemed to lack any form of pockets or storage, she still managed to pull out the phone, sparing only a second to check the caller ID before accepting the call, "What is it?"
  17. Mira Good, response teams were already beginning to secure the area. That saved a lot of hassle for both her and her companions, mostly for her. Though the vans blocked her path a bit, Mira only needed to take a few steps around in order to get to the entrance, which was another source of relief for the knight, considering that the officer was somewhat aware of what happened, "That thing was another form of Trick. It's nothing more than vapor now, so there should be no significant resistance left here" Mira reported, folding her arms as she turned back towards the amusement park. She did what she said she would do. Now she just had to wait for the others to meet up with her.
  18. Freya "Seriously, come on!" Freya shouted when Dyno began munching on a skeleton instead of doing what she had ordered him to do. And now the "Necromaster" was now yelling that they would bow before his mastery of Necromancy... After summoning a single skeleton. If the young girl had any pride in her work, she would've been insulted by the insinuation of that showcasing one's mastery of the art. ... Scratch that, she was insulted. So, with a sigh of defeat, Freya lifted her staff into the air. Then she slammed the end into the ground, causing the very foundation to rumble as the ground itself began to tear its way to the surface, a collection of humanoid dirt constructs clawing their way to the battle. Dyno, on the other hand... Continues to munch on the skeleton, making sure that it is both a delectable treat and very much out of the fight. Freya spends her turn using Natural Requiem, summoning a grand total of 28 zombies from the ground, each with (1d4) HP, that act on her turn. Freya loadout Dyno sheet
  19. Grima As the man pulled out a photograph, Grima pushed herself off of the chair she sat in, stepping closer to take it and inspect it herself. Ancient artifact, by the looks of it, and clearly a bit valuable, even without the man giving a description of why it was important, "Okay... Makes a bit more sense now. Do you even know who the thief is? And how do you know if this thief of yours hasn't already used this thing to get to Nil?" Grima asked after a second of thinking, turning back to the man. There were still dozens of other questions, but she needed to figure out what he wanted her to do before making any decisions.
  20. Mira As soon as Mira left a large gash in Trick's burned body, she heard the distinct noise of large, heavy machinery rotating into place. Instantly, Mira took a step back from the incoming artillery, in the form of jumping off the roller coaster as the abomination exploded into vapor. Her landing wasn't the most graceful however, since all she did was crash feet first into the cement, but despite the loud impact that came from her and the ground, she still managed to land on said two feet, not even having to make a roll as she stood up and shook her legs a bit, "That makes two" the armored woman muttered to herself as she flipped her sword into a reverse grip, turning to the side and walking back to the entrance of the roller coaster, "I believe the entrance would be a better place to rendezvous. I'll head back to the officer and inform him that Trick is dead. Which leaves us open to deal with Brave." Mira shouted up to the others, managing to overhear Lyra's own comment about 'meeting up'. Regardless, Mira will begin heading back to the entrance of the park to do just that, unless otherwise stopped by something.
  21. Ako "Well, like I said, we might not even need to clear the inn room by room, depend on the demons. But I guess it's hard to say when we aren't even there, huh?" Ako replied, bringing her hand behind her mountain of black hair in an odd attempt to rub the back of her head, only to pause as Spicy got to work on her own project, raising her eyebrows in confusion, "... Flashbangs? I'm not familiar with that kind of phrase... Does it have something to do with gunpowder?" she asked. Soon enough though, Spicy presented the 'demonic flashbangs', at first making the Shrine Maiden even more confused, to the point where she even leaned in to see what had changed in the cores... Until one exploded with a loud pop, causing her to jump back with a shout of surprise. Thankfully it only took a second for her to recover, all the internal questioning ending with a nod of understanding, "Okay, I get it, another kind of miniature fireworks. Well, once we deal with the Inn, I'll be glad to help you work with that core. I think it's a problem of it being a bit to unstable with its demonic energy" she explained, before spinning around on her heel, "But THAT requires us to get there. So let's go, we've got some exorcising to do" Ako said in a bit too cheerful of a tone as she lead the group down the path once more, the one that lead straight into the straight side of the mountains, "So, I don't think I've gotten most of your names. I know the Great Kami's name, but not really anyone else's. Which I should apologize for, formally, because that was rather rude of me. I'm still a bit tired from this entire situation. But I'd love to hear some of your stories, as companions of a Great Kami. Like how you can handle demonic materials without too much trouble-" Ako says during the walk, gesturing to Spicy, "and why one of you have a Yurei following you around" she continues as she points at Kino, finally forcing attention to one of things that had been bothering her since first meeting this group, yet things had progressed too quickly for her to actually do so. Or had she just kept forgetting to do it? Crap, she didn't even know if she did anymore. She needed some more sleep.
  22. Freya As the young Necromancer expected, there was no answer from the woman. Except the actual reason for why there wasn't an answer was completely different. It wasn't silence on her part... She just vanished. Like she wasn't even there to begin with. As expected, Freya's first reaction to this change of events was to blink in surprise, the realization slowly dawning on her that the Purifier was never real. At least, not right now, which in hindsight actually made sense. Another bit of realization came in the form of her remembering the situation they were in. Specifically the entire Necromaster thing. She couldn't be sure if that illusion was his fault or not, but it was best to make sure he didn't try anything funny. So, as soon as she remembered the situation, Freya silently ordered Dyno to move in, the bear now ignoring Danielle's cries of horror and dread as it reared back, before jumping at full force at the Necromaster. Not to generally hurt him, as Freya was still ordering, but simply to make sure he didn't try to run.
  23. Ako "Yeah, destroying the Inn would cause a lot more problems than it would solve. But it shouldn't be too hard to get to the Demon in charge, and once they're gone, the effect they have on others and on the surrounding area should quickly dissipate. Depending on the situation there at least" Ako added with a rather upset expression at the suggestion of getting rid of the inn, before she brightened up once more, "Regardless, I take that to mean we'll dealing with them first, great Kami?"
  24. Grima ... So he wanted her to steal something. Could've just said so. And when she was trying to move past stealing too. "Well, whether or not I decide to help you out depends on how important this is, or why it matters that I steal it. If you know about my parole, you should know that I'm actually trying to make good on my word. So-" Grima replied, opening her hands in a questioning manner to the man, "-why even come for me?"
  25. Walmond Once more, Walmond had fallen silent as she took in the events unfolding in front of her. Or at least, that was what she would've said, if not for the fact that her focus had simply wandered off. At the very least, it returned in time for Patchouli to speak. That was, more or less, all Walmond needed to listen to. She thought at least. Hopefully. "Thank you for the word of caution, Miss Patchouli, but a quick question, if you would. Is this library open for impromptu research?" the scientist asked aloud before turning towards the librarian, holding her chin as her eyes went from idle scanning to direct focus, "There's some theories I'd like to investigate, and with a library this size and of this nature, there's a good possibility of something being here that could help me."
