  1. I can't wait to be able to use my Hydreigon, obviously since you need an exploit to obtain it, it was kind of a bitch to get, but I also didn't get it till I beat e16 so I can't wait to walk up to a team Meteor member and be like "Hey, you know your boss's Ace? Well I got one too and mine's better because it's Shiny!". And seeing how that is the third time I've referenced my Hydreigon in recent times I guess I should finally show her off:
  2. That's cool, you can take out her Hydreigon guaranteed that way. Just one question, what about the other 5 pokemon she's guaranteed to have? Edit: this came out a bit rude, please read with sarcastic tone
  3. I'm looking forward to fighting Lin's Hydreigon, with my own. I did the exploit and have a shiny one >:)
  4. Probably gonna use a Vikavolt instead of my Eelektross, simply because it's my favorite gen VII Pokemon. Otherwise since we can't get a legit Kommo-o I'll keep my Heracross and my Charizard, Sceptile, Nidoking will stay. (oh and don't tell Ame, I got a third dark matter during e16 and have a shiny Hydreigon who is also on my team)
  5. Welp, Guess I was sadly right that Kommo-o isn't in e17, but looking back I think this makes more sense then we though. Even with its pre-USUM moveset Kommo-o is useful in all of the gym battles we've yet to have. Kommo-o resists Water types, so that's nice for Amaria. It also is super effective against Steel, Rock, and Dragon, the other gyms we haven't fought/ are fighting in e17. The fact that I didn't notice this beforehand is probably the only reason I thought we could get Kommo-o.
  6. USUM tutor moves aren't in e17 and Ame probably decided who would be available long before we knew Kommo-o became op in USUM, there's no way she would have time to change who would be the last line. If Kommo-o was chosen pre USUM then Kommo-o will be avialable. But part of me still feels we're getting one of the non pseudo lines not available, that would leave us with one non pseudo line and five pseudo lines unavailable, my money is on gyarados. That being said, Please let it be Kommo-o
  7. Please let Kommo-o be available, I'm crossing my whole body in anticipation.
  8. Stone edge or rock slide will probably be Hardy's reward for beating him, and earthquake I wouldn't be surprised if Ame left it till post game to fuck with us. Plus for anyone who watched the new intro to the game ame put on the dev blog a while back you would see she has Garchomp on her team, and I'm pretty sure she had a full team of obtainable pokemon otherwise so it's pretty much confirmed available.
  9. I don't think Kommo-o will be unavailable because the new moves it gets in USUM aren't being added this late into testing and its SM movepool plus its average though well balanced stats won't make it that good a pseudo even if competitive viability isn't everything in reborn, so with that my list would be: - Aegislash - Ferrothorn - Salamence - Gyarados - Gengar - Dragonite or Tyranitar (I feel like despite both being supposedly locked behind rock climb, one of them will become available but the other will have a second barrier, likely unlocked through an event, in which I'm leaning towards Tyranitar being excluded because of its decent level-up moves)
  10. Two things: 1) What do you mean Ha to complete? The whole story, every gym, the elite four and champion, a second smaller region, and a ton of new megas and over 200 delta species, I don't understand how that isn't complete. 2) Audrey, second fight.
  11. Not saying to abandon reborn, but insurgence is complete now and It's really fun, some battles even have difficulty comparable to, if not harder than Reborn (that I can attest).
  12. I don't really watch shofu, but when I was way younger I saw the start of his LP randomly on youtube, so I checked the game out. This was back when the game had I think 3 gyms. I was really bad at the game so I quit after the pulse tangrowth (good thing because I don't think I was the right age demo yet). Flash forward to last February and I got sick one day and stayed home from school. I was looking for a new pokemon fan game/rom hack to play (I had already played Glazed, Uranium, and vega to completion at this point, even completing the pokedex in Vega and Uranium), that,s when I remembered Reborn. I looked it up, ended up on these forums, and have loved it ever since (Oh and no, I didn't beat the whole thing in a sick day, this was still my senior year in high school so I usually only played for about 2 hours a day so many days of play time were dedicated solely to grinding and overall it took me about 3 weeks to get to the end of episode 16)
  13. It's nice that you are going in with an open mind, though it is ironic that you like bruxish as it is the least liked/popular gen 7 pokemon hands down. If you want a good competitive gen seven mon, most of those aren't going to be available in reborn till post-game. Gen seven is the trick room generation, but there are already so many ways to counter trick room, so all the slow pokemon means that only the legendaries and ultra beasts are in OU and above for the most part. The exceptions are Toxapex and Mimikyu, both of which play completely different than the other but both would be useful in a play-through of reborn. Toxapex is an amazing wall who also has an ability that could make it decently offensive so long as you teach it toxic and venoshock. Mimikyu would be an amazing sweeper, as its ability gives it a free turn to set up swords dance/hone claws. Design wise, well let's look at Kommo-o, the new Pseudo in Alola. Kommo-o is primarily based on Hawaiian Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and the Komodo Dragon. Those three just go into the visual design, the warriors being represented through the style of Kommo-o's armor. The Komodo dragon is actually quite cleverly implemented, many people think Kommo-o is based on an Ankylosaurus due to the armor being scales, and though I'm sure a little bit of the design, mainly the tail, is somewhat based on an Ankylosaur, Kommo-o actually shares more traits with Komodo Dragons. First is the feet/hands which look much more like the large therapod-esque feet of a Komodo than the rounded stump feet of the Ankylosaur. Then there's the head which is much more streamlined like that of the lizard than the wide blunt head of an Ankylosaur. And finally, and kind of the important one, Kommo-o is carnivorous. Ankylosaurus was surely threatening looking, but it was an herbivore, and though Game freak does take creative liberties with their designs, every pokemon based on a dinosaur, whether a fossil pokemon or not, has had the same diet as the animal it is based on. The final piece of evidence comes when you know exactly what inspired the scales of Kommo-o, that being the physical prowess of the Komodo Dragon. Though more known for their venomous bite, Komodo dragons are also well armored with their scales interlocking to be almost as resistant as chain-mail, this is what inspired the scale design. It's also part of the reason Kommo-o is part fighting, because those scales are designed for the Komodos to withstand other Komodos during fights. During these fights Komodo Dragons will often rear up on to their hind legs to attack, which could be why Kommo-o is seen on two legs in battle, but why in its walking/running animations have it on all fours, walking on its knuckles (which that in itself could be a reference to the "new" Spinosaurus which was theorized to walk on its knuckles due to its short back legs not being able to keep it on two feet while walking). Kommo-o's name also has multiple inspirations, obviously there's Kommo-o referencing Komodo Dragon, but also commander (which is why it has two m's) and mo-o, a creature of hawaiian legend which is a lizard that can morph into a dragon(quite appropriate seeing as a Komodo dragon is a lizard that's called a dragon). So in total, just one gen 7 pokemon is based on Hawaiian warriors, Samurai warriors, a Komodo Dragon, an Ankylosaurus, a Spinosaurus, a commander, and the Mo-o. Hope this helps, sorry for the long response.
  14. I know there are event pokemon the player can encounter that are exclusive to Hardcore, and I would be more interested in a list of those if anyone knows any. All I know is one of them, taillow, in Mr. Seacrest's garden at the beginning of the game if you interact with the headbutt tree (unless this was available in the main game too and I just can't get it to spawn for some reason).
  15. I noticed three things that may need addressing in the sandbox area. First, I noticed there is no move tutor for iron head, even though I guarantee one is available in the regular game as I taught it to my excadrill. Second, Dragon Ascent should probably be added to sandbox mode. Sure, Mega Rayquaza is stupid OP but all mega stones, TMs, and even the red and blue orbs are available. Besides, balance is not a concern in sandbox mode, so I see no reason to keep rayquaza from attaining anything goes power. Finally, I noticed a glitch with the medicine merchant. If you go to the in-battle booster items section, which has all the X - items, the game crashes. I believe this is because (or at least from what the crash screen told me) XDEFENSE isn't a proper name for an item (I'm assuming it must be listed as XDEF. in the game data), thus the game doesn't have data for an XDEFENSE so it crashes.
  16. Reborn Shiny Sceptile - Genji. Think about it: they're both green, both are acrobatic, both use swords to fight, and both have dragon themed ultimates (Genji Ult. is dragon blade, Sceptile's mega is part dragon type). Plus Sceptile's reborn shiny gets a more metallic look, which makes the name fit even more.
  17. Vikavolt, 100% Vikavolt, hopefully the room where we'd have to evolve it doesn't get locked in the next update forcing us to get the key again. And I really hope it ends up getting to keep its canon shiny (outside of maybe fixing the Christmas color eyes) because that's easily my favorite canon shiny. Also maybe Kommo-o, if it's available.
  18. TBH, Reborn made me dislike a lot of the pokemon I used a little because I scooped up types I needed that were available, which ended up being slow pokemon. The fastest thing on my team was my Charizard, then I had Ampharos, Golem, Drapion, Scrafty, and Beartic. And like the fool I was I never thought to just swap them out for better pokemon when they became available, I just stuck with what I had. I somehow beat every boss in the game with this team through the circus, Where after beating Ciel I finally said "screw this I need a new squad". So I went and caught 4 new pokemon for my team as well as a ton of other pokemon I missed out on. I scooped up a Galvantula to replace Ampharos, I got Flygon to replace Golem, I grabbed Lapras to give my team some bulk and replace Beartic, and I kept Charizard and Scrafty. But the big one was Metagross, who replaced Drapion. This thing swept Adrienn (who I don't think would have been that hard anyways but he did defeat all of my pokemon except Metagross). That gave Metagross a lot more of my attention, since even when I used him in Omega Ruby he didn't leave me like "Woah, Metagross man". But in a game where I struggled through every gym (bar the first one and the dark gym) that sweep was quite a treat and made me respect Metagross a lot more than I used to (also, he's shiny, and I didn't have a ghost type when I went to catch him so I had to watch 3 shiny beldum kill themselves before I caught one, but at least he made up for it in the end).
  19. I love how everyone is freaking out over getting blue moon ice cream but I randomly got mine while stocking up on strawberry ice cream back when they were the best healing item I had access to. I still have it too
  20. Got it, I couldn't extract the files right after downloading on my computer so I just downloaded the winRAR trial. I'm all set thanks!
  21. So, dumb question, after downloading the mod (specifically the E16 beta CoM) how do I change the base game into the modded version?
