Robotic HW Assembly: The group steps into the next room, a large one at that. It seems to be some kind of warehouse area, almost as large as the "Outdoor" area the arrived in, but filled with heavy stacked creates and boxes, cranes on the ceiling, and rails on the floor to move things around. The rails all converge and lead out of the room through heavy double doors on the right and left of where the group enters. The double doors to the left are sealed, but one of the doors to the right is open. There is a "standard" sized door directly across from them and another in the far left corner. The room is quiet and still, must have been where the two Guards had been hanging out. Primary Landing Bay: The group rounds the corner and enters well...a mostly empty hanger. Several shipping containers and what's left of a shuttle are really all the remains. The shuttle it appears has recently been dismantled by the large robot now caught on rubble and smashing into a wall. Once they're in the hanger it stops, slowly rotates in place, and then begins moving towards them at a slow and steady pace and making very little sound for its apparent weight. A light hum of something being charged can be heard as it approaches. Init: Status: Personnel Quarters: Con saves: 16 vs 27, 12 vs 19, Yoko and Deadlift each gain a stack of "Toxic gas" reducing their MHP by 2. [71] Deadlift's explosion of spirit energy causes a strange purple rift to open up dropping two humanoids onto the ground in front of him and Yoko before closing. The first stands up confused, they're wearing patchy scavenged clothing and holding a large red blocky gun-like weapon with an orange glowing core. As the second one stands you realize it's hilariously disproportioned, with the head and upper torso of a full grown man and the legs and lower torso of a child, it barely hefts the strange shotgun it's holding. They both have odd masks that generate glowing blue "bubbles" around their faces and that are connected to small machines on their backs. The tall one points his weapon in Yoko and Deadlift's direction before yelling at them "Oi! Where the fuck are we?! And who the hell are you?!" The second one screams angrily in an incomprehensible high pitched voice. Init: Status: Plankton Farms: Evelyn strikes the Mutant for 24 damage, healing herself for 6 in return as she deals the Deathblow to the monster. Rewards:

Tim stood and listened to the various responses, he wasn't exactly a huge fan of trying "peaceful negotiations". They usually ended up being costly, showed willingness to let the other side order you around, and turned messy anyway more often than not. Only really useful if the cost of cleaning up the mess would be too high. "So you go down and try to negotiate with them and convince them to leave while we stand at a safe distance an watch. If things start to so bad you give us a signal and we'll run in for plan B?"

Spicy HG: HP: 68/70 Stats: Con:8, Dex:0, Int:0, Str:10, Syn:12, .EXE:14/32(1/4lvls). Active Cooldowns: 1 Sealing Strike, Effects: Damage(dealt) cannot be reduced below 25%, 15% DR vs Physical damage. Immune to fire damage, Takes double cold damage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spicy HG sighed as the man one the throne transformed into some giant unknowable horror from beyond. Well at least they were too the second phase, bosses like these almost always had three phases, each uglier than the last. "Alright we're in phase two, let's finish this up. Dackly double attack!" She flourished her glaive once to give Dackly time to prepare before jumping up and swiping at the boss repeatedly. Spicy HG uses Coupling Attack with Dackly, they both get to use a zero-cooldown action or item to attack Tiamat and then have a 50% chance to gain a Lily Rank. Spicy HG uses Rush Technique to deal 2 damage(ignoring 3 DR) 3d4 times.

Friedhold: Stats: Con:4, Dex:2, Int:12, Str:4, Syn:8, Eve: 6/8, ADAM: 20. Active Cooldowns: What's a Cooldown? Effects: Gains 2 Eve every turn, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Friedhold took a step back as the "man" they had been fighting twisted inwards upon himself and transformed into this...thing. He cursed under his breath and the Little Sister ducked back into cover. Whatever this was its knack for random and haphazard mutation was offensive, it reminded him of some of the more careless ADAM scientists in Rapture, leaving masses of twisted flesh and wasted experiments in their wakes. "Your skill is lacking and your mutations inferior. You will die by your failure to adapt." Friedhold donates to the Orbital Friendship Cannon adding 2d6+[Int] and paying two(2) ADAM to add Empowered Insect Swarm's effect, setting all dice rolls to max.

Plankton Farms: Evelyn's attack deals 23 damage as it tears through the Mutant's abdomen. It falls to the ground dead. Greg puts three rounds into the other Mutant dealing 14 damage. The new Mutant staggers forward before swinging at Evelyn and Greg with mad fury. [28] Evelyn takes 20 damage while Greg takes 15. Vratislav buff's Evelyn. Rout1 scratches at the Mutant for 9 damage. Init: Status: Personnel Quarters: [97] Deadlift has about 9 minutes of air before he starts taking suffocation damage. He charges the door and with a loud crash knocks it the rest of the way free, it tumbles to the ground and he starts making his way into the large hallway. As he does he nearly trips over something that had been pile right up against the door, bodies. Covered in blisters and having obviously been coughing up blood. Now that he can see better than through an inch tall window he notices quite a few bodies littered around, at doorway in and out of the hall, and piled at either end. Con saves: 19 vs 28, 15 vs 15, As Deadlift walks into an area with a higher concentration of gas everything starts to hurt. His eyes and nose already sting and burn beyond belief and small blisters are forming on his arms. A rush of air hits Yoko and Deadlift kicks the door down, the sensation of stinging/burning immediately sets in as the poison gas washes over her, though she manages to hold out for now.

Music: Spike plants trigger in the West again, dealing 10 and 22 damage to the first Mages and first Ogre respectively. More spike plants in the Southwest, dealing 10 and 14 damage to the Ogre and first Horde. Horde SW:1 loses their Archers. No traps are triggered in the Southeast. No traps are triggered in the East. Amelie marks Engineer E:1 granting anyone who attacks them 15% critical(x2) strike chance for two rounds. Next she throws a grenade at Horde E:4, it bursts into silk-like fibers that surround and trap them(Stun). Jun slashes at two of the ladders dealing 39 and 38 damage to them knocking them off the walls. Toshiro has no chill and bumps his Dex up even more to 22. Then he attacks one Horde in the West for 40 damage and another for 37. The first is completely decimated while the second loses all its Archers and Warriors. The Arms Dealer unleashes terror on Engineers E:2 dealing 10, 6, 11, 11, and 10 damage to them. The last remaining Horde in the West merges with the Mages W:1, forming a reinforced group of armored Mages! Two Hordes in the Southwest charge forward to attack the wall with their weapons for 64 total damage, they take 8 and 10 damage from the spikes. The Archers in the group Az shot retaliate for 7 damage, they also shoot Arminius and Leo for 8 and 5 damage. The last group merges with the Mages forming another armored Mage squad. All five Hordes in the Southeast ready their bows and then unleash a hail of arrows on the wall dealing a total of 110 damage. In the East Horde E:2 climbs to the top of the wall, while another untangles itself, and the remaining three wait for something. The Dryad heals Az for 15 HP, and gives him a confused look while she does it. Kusuke fires the SHOT Trebuchet peppering each of the Bombers and the remaining Hordes in the Southwest for 7 damage each. Lucille and Do attack the same Ogre again for 34 total damage, finally rendering it a lump of half-cooked and mostly minced meat. The Demo throws a grenade that deals 15 and 13 damage to Hordes SE:1 and SE:2. Satomi patiently waits until the Ogre is in just the right spot before BAM! Theme override: The last lever is pulled and the axe blade goes slamming into the Ogre’s thick hide, the fiery barrier hardly registers the blow much less slows it down. As the blade retracts the Ogre is left with a huge gaping wound for 192 damage. [23] The combat and excitement has adrenaline pumping and Satomi is doing great. [Satomi has First Strike next round] The Guide gives Lucille some tips, boosting her Int by 4. The Blacksmith moves to the South. The Carpenter and Mason start repairing the Southeast walls, restoring 26 HP. Some of the Mages in the West refocus their Fiery Barrier on Ogre W:2, while the others throw Shadowfire at the Guide dealing 14 damage. The Guide and Tavern Keep burn for 2 and 3 damage. The Mages in the Southwest refocus their barrier around Ogre SW:1. The remaining Siege Ogre in the West slams its fists into the wall, crushing, smashing, and tearing at it. It deals 105 damage. Despite its wounds the Ogre in the Southwest deals 90 damage. The Ogre in the Southeast deals 99 damage. The Bombers in the Southwest set their crates near the wall and run for cover. The Bombers in the Southeast start preparing their crates slightly differently. The Strafer Goblins swoop low and pick up bombs from the SE Bombers before quickly flying over the wall into the village. The Tavern Keep throws another Molotov setting both the Goblin Spikers on fire for 8 damage for two rounds. The Mages burn. The Engineers build three more ladders which the waiting Hordes move up immediately. Rose blasts the third ladder for 23 damage, knocking it off. Leo calls falling stars down on Bombers SE:1, dealing 7, 9, and 13 damage to them and killing them. A bright flash shows the the crates of explosive detonated. The Goblin Spikers in the West lob a hail of small spiked balls over the wall, entering or leaving the West area now deals 2d3+8 damage. Arminius shoots Bomber SE:2 for 15 damage, it doesn’t look happy. Piglet(Fingers?) bursts through the gates and starts revving the Tank in the direction of the Goblins. Az fires at Horde SW2 dealing 14 damage and ruining their day a bit. Their Archers are all dead now. The Turrets: Reinforcements: Init: Status:

Personnel Quarters: [41] After a couple failed attempts Yoko manages to pull up on of the strangely semi-flexible tiles from the ground. With it the hole is plugged. Robotic HW Assembly: [55] Yvette notices nothing beyond what she would expect. Plankton Farms: Evelyn fires her gun dealing 5 damage and staggering the large Mutant. Greg fires three rounds into the Mutant's chest, while the acid doesn't seem to do much he still deals a total of 12 damage. The staggering Mutant starts to recover. A throaty gargling roar can be heard, followed by the sound of bricks being knocked loose. Another six armed Mutant pulls its way out from inside the large cracked tank. Vratislav improves equipment beyond government standards, granting his minion a significant edge. Rout1 claws at the much larger Mutant dealing 10 damage. Init: Status:

Personnel Quarters: [65] Deadlift's attempt to seal the hole works well, as far as he can tell the gas has stopped coming in. Robotic HW Assembly: With inhuman resolve the Guard raises his weapon one last time and fires at Jezzabella dealing 10 damage. Hirata fires one bullet into the Guard finishing him off, [3] the next round loads fine. Ichi swings at the Giant for 12 damage, right in the uhh...third arm from the left? Yvette roasts the Giant with Hellfire for 18 damage, ouch. Jezzabella plants her axe right between the Giant's eyes, bringing the beast tumbling to the ground with a thunderous crash. Rewards: The Hallway ahead is silent.
-
Robotic HW Assembly: The Guard with the machine gun turns and fires a short burst at Shamhat dealing 13 damage. The other Guard fires its shotgun once at Itchi, once at Jezzabella, and once at Hirata dealing 9, 8, and 8 damage. Hirata successfully removes the obstruction from her gun. Itchi smashes its club into the first Guard twice for 11 and 7 damage, breaking his ribs and sending him gasping on the floor for air. Shamhat uses her staff on the Giant twice, but instead of burning a hole through dark magic the healing energy washes over the giant, it starts screaming and drops to its knees. Stitches start popping and splitting open, flesh starts to fuse and warp with broken limbs and lumps of twisted muscle, skin, and bone growing out of the now re-opened wounds. Yvette buffs Jezzabella with +4 Str. Jezzabella proceeds to slam an axe into the second Guard's skull overhead, cracking him open like a can of baked beans. He crumples to the ground dead. The Giant stands slowly and then swings its many limbs Shamhat is hit twice for 7 and 10 damage, Hirata is hit for 7, and Jezzabella takes 10 for Yvette. Shamhat is slung into a nearby wall by the force and knocked unconscious. Init: Status: Plankton Farms: Evelyn doubles her dodge chance and slashes at the larger Mutant for 11 damage. Greg flat out annihilates three of the smaller Mutants. (three 00Buck used), The large Mutant attacks Vratislav with a brick for 10 damage. Vratislav buffs Rout1, who then proceeds to obliterate the last small Mutant. Init: Status: Personnel Quarters: As she walks up Yoko notices the smaller text on the screen. "Lockdown in effect. Air contaminants detected in outdoor blocks A, B, C, D, and E. Lockdown will remain until air filtration verifies safe breathing conditions. Maintenance has been alerted, this may take some time. Str check: 52 vs 39, Luck: 37, Deadlift rears back and with a single powerful strike the whole door crumples some, a crater about a foot across appears around where he hit leading into a cone shape before finally the fist sized hole in the door. Whoever made this did not want anyone getting through it, and Deadlift can immediately tell why. The air coming through the hole is sour and burns to breath in, different from the air earlier it stings his eyes, nose, and throat. Con save(Deadlift): 25 vs 16, Deadlift pushes through for now.

[IC] Tengoku no Owari CT, Chapter 1.2
StormLord replied to Empiricist's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Owen glanced up at the sudden meteor shower, these people really were something. Then without skipping a step he followed the Cu impostor's lead and made a swan dive off the tendril he was on. Using his powers to slingshot himself forward and prevent himself from going splat while praying he didn't get hit by Cu's bullets, the tendrils, or otherwise. 6 for the round, wishes for not getting hit, and a 3 for "Ride the Lightning" to fly after Cu. Charge Field Generator is still active. -

Iva huffed softly before turning to try again, this time putting a little more effort into her attempt. Maybe the cops wouldn't notice her if she worked quickly. ML=5, Ice Control=10, Purity=10, Total=25. -
Plankton Farms: Evelyn and Vratislav enter a large courtyard area, to their left they can see more of the "Secondary Growing Tank", to the right and forward a bit another large cylinder marked "Primary Growing Tank" with a massive crack down the side nearly six foot wide be the time it reached the base. Movement can be heard, the snarling of more Mutants and the rapid scrabbling of many feet. Pounding footsteps as another large Mutant rounds the corner of the Primary Growing Tank and heads straight for the two. Init: Status: Personnel Quarters: Str check: 43 vs 51, Luck: 56, Deadlift approaches the door, widens his stance, and reaches down to curl his fingers under the edge digging into the metal. His begins his lift and metal starts groaning and whining with the strain, fluctuations and crumpling visibly appearing in the surface of the metal. He keeps pulling and lifting until suddenly the metal gives way, causing him to launch himself backwards from the force he was exerting on the door. Standing up and returning to examine what happened he finds two long gouges running upward from where he was gripping the door and the corners broke off.

Landing Bay: [77] Chelchis brings up the video feed from Bay B. A robot about 9' tall and covered in bulbous armor and heat shielding was repeatedly ramming itself into a wall apparently unable to figure out how to back up and turn around. Morp collects things. Robotic HW Assembly: Hirata fires her gun at the giant dealing a grand total of 1 damage. [1] The next round gets caught in the mechanism jamming it. Ichi fairs only slightly better, using its pipe like a bat to deal 6 damage. Shamhat goes for the nuclear option, spamming Gravity twice for 30 and 21 damage. Yvette and Jezzabella buff and gear up. The giant steps fully into the room and straightened up to stand several inches above Ichi before rearing back and punching the Cybermutant hard in the chest. Ichi takes 14 damage, but manages to survive. Two humanoid figures round enter the hall from the other end and approach the fight. They look a lot like Greg, but more...stiff and force in their movements. Init: Status:

Plankton Farms: The steel door slides open to reveal another "outdoor" area with another door directly in front of them. The ground had a light covering of grass and the wall to the left was curved, the words "Secondary Growing Tank" were in fading paint on the side. The door beyond leads to another hallway and intersection, the path to the right is crashed and collapsed leaving only a path to the left. Primary Landing Bay: Roy arrives without issue. [95] The door is unlocked and Morp floats right in, rummaging around he finds a number of files listing the coming and going of ships, people, and supplies. A weapons rack loaded with a rifle of some kind and a small handgun sits in the back of the room. Chelchis manages to access the computer. Most of the files and programs are just as corrupt on this computer as the last one, but she does pull some helpful information. Most of the loading and repair robots listed are labeled as "Deactivated - Malfunctioning" or "Unresponsive" with a few labeled as "Active - Malfunctioning" one of which is in room making all the noise. She finds a note several days old saying that a maintenance team has been dispatched and should be dealing with the malfunctioning robots shortly with no updates since its initial writing. Finally she finds a map detailing the surrounding area and its general layout. Personnel Quarters: As Deadlift approaches the wall a glass door slides open automatically(sorry for the confusion there). Now on the other side Deadlift can see a heavy steel blast door has been closed on the right, effectively cutting off the "lobby" from the large open area visible through the narrow viewing window. Robotic HW Assembly: Shamhat, Yvette, Jezzabella, and Hirata move into position. [27] Hirata's Mutant walks over and tears a large chunk of pipe off the wall(1d8+[Str]), steam is leaking into the room causing it to be very humid and loud. In response to the sound of tearing metal you all hear a loud grunt before several footsteps toward the door. A brownish hulking figure covered in surgical stitching and reeking of turpentine hunches down to look through the doorway. It roars upon meeting the five newcomers before pulling the burlap sack off its back. Lighter and faster footsteps can be heard coming this way. Init: Status:
-
Robotic HW Assembly: Shamhat, Hirata, and Yvette arrive in a room not dissimilar to the one they just left, signs if "recent" activity, fairly clear and well used, etc. There is a single door leading out of the room, heavy pounding footsteps can be heard on the other side. Personnel Quarters: Deadlift and Yoko arrive to the sound of blaring alarms and flashing red lights. They area around them didn't seem so bad, almost clean. The next room(between them an which there was only a glass wall) looked like some kind of large lobby(not unlike an airport), several large monitors had large red letters saying "LOCKDOWN IN EFFECT" and smaller text that couldn't be read from here. Primary Landing Bay: Chelchis and Morp arrive to another room similar to the one they just left. Fire, and something large and metal pounding against a wall could be heard in the distance. Outside the teleporter room there was a hallway leading through some kind of now completely abandoned security checkpoint and reaching a "T" intersection beyond that. Plankton Farms: Nothing spooks Evelyn. Vratislav finds a number of documents referencing something called the "War Critter Project", apparently this area used to be used to create food for the growing monsters and when they stopped making them they didn't need it any more. Beyond that he finds stacks and stacks of production logs and time sheets. [68] He finds a stress ball and several mechanical pencils in the lost personal items.
-
Plankton Farms(Abandoned Sector) Vratislav, Evelyn, and company enter the teleporter to the Plankton Farms and come out the other end. The new room is very similar to the previous one if a little smaller and more cramped. There are a couple old boxes with redundant files, lost personal affects, and other such items nearby. A thick layer of dust coats almost everything in the room. Beyond their immediate surroundings there was a single door leading to a hallway, a little ways down the hallway splits in a "Y" shape, one leading more sharply right and the other heading mostly straight. ((Anyone else who wishes can still join this group))

[IC] Tengoku no Owari CT, Chapter 1.2
StormLord replied to Empiricist's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Hero of Irish myth, and not whoever this guy is, just who they're imitating." With that Owen overcharged the electrical field around his body and jumped out of Immanuel's arms onto the nearest tendril leading towards Cu. His plan was to charge the guy going from cover to cover and hoping his energy caught any stray bullets. A 4 goes to "Charge Field Generator" and a 5 for charging Cu while dodging attacks. -
Just as Evelyn approached the portal a huge purple eye moved in front of it, glaring and narrowing down on Yvette. A massive tentacle swipes through the portal and wraps around Yvette and the Impling, just as it's about to pull them back through Evelyn slashes the tentacle with her sword dealing 20 damage and severing the very end. At the same moment the large creature reaches through the Impling Yvette is holding turns into a fine black mist and disappears completely.
-
[92] This creature is practically fearless compared to the others, using one of its leathery tentacle arms as leverage to pull on Yvette's hand and get through the portal. A rush of wind can be heard on the other side of the portal, the little creatures huddled around it start backing away, bowing and cowering as they go.
-
The tiny creatures(all of which are still on the other side) cower some as Yvette leans in closer. They seem to be making some equivalent to "oohing and ahhing" until one of them says something Yvette doesn't quite understand followed by the rest quickly parroting it and then two or three breaking off and running in another direction. Yvette get's the feeling they might not be alone for long.

The Phantom stands and slashes with its axe again for 6 damage. Deadlift charges forward and slams into the Phantom who rag-dolls from the force of the strike. As they collapse they disintegrate into motes of red and black energy leaving only a bloodstain. Deadlift feels that the Dark Phantom has been vanquished from this world. Loot: +2 Merit
