  1. Greg puts on the armor to the best of his ability, he obviously hasn't seen armor of this variety if at all. Shamhat's Gravity spell forces the largest portion of the toxins out, wringing drops of poison on the ground in a soft dribble. There's still a lot of poison left tainting the fabric though. (Effect downgraded from -50% MHP to -10 MHP) Yweniwa's healing magic doesn't fair much better than Shamhat's, it seems the toxins have already done their work scouring and deforming to the point that simply slinging magic won't work anymore. Yweniwa does however remember that Arrowroot is used to mitigate the effects of normal Manchineel toxins. (-5 MHP effect reduced to -3 MHP for the next two encounters before dissipating completely)
  2. Shamhat's Cura spell does little to stop the raging toxins seeped into her robes, it seems she'll need something more powerful for this poison. Greg sort of sits there shaking his head back and forth, like he's trying to rid it of something. Eventually though Vratislav get's some response that's close enough to confirmation for him. [42] Chelchis and Evelyn follow their hallway a short ways before reaching a door similar to the first. The sound of some kind of machine is almost deafening now, a grinding crunching sound mixed with the shifting of metal-on-metal and whirring of gears. Inside they find a large room filled with various heavy machines all doing...something. They see a number of crates and boxes scattered around, all but one of which have been ransacked, the scent of turpentine wafts from the back left corner. [12] Deadlift and Yoko follow the pipe hallway, after it turns it continues for a few hundred feet more and more pipes being added the whole time. As they approach the door at the end of the hallway they hear the sounds of several creatures in the next room shuffling around. Before they have a chance to second guess the door slides open revealing a horrid six limbed humanoid...thing. It's twisted and mutated, scrabbling across the ground like an insect coming in for the kill. Init: Status:
  3. Music: Empi doesn’t doctor herself, restoring 24 HP Gabriel blasts Great Lahmu B with even more fire and radiation...only for it to miss? Sun Arcana ticks dealing 6 damage per stack to each remaining Lahmu. The first of the flying creatures descends upon Gabriel attacking with its many limbs and dealing 22 damage, the second swipes at Hiroki for 7 damage. Perlita heals Empi for 38 HP, basically rendering everything those poor Lahmu gave their lives for moot. The mud covered large beast strides over to Gabriel and plants a spiked forelimb into his shoulder for 10 damage, he feels weaker. The other beast runs one of Magna’s Officers through for 18 damage, it of course survives due to the benefits of being undead, but it isn’t doing so great. Jeanne hits Gilgamesh with her Noble Phantasm dealing 60 damage and inflicting Lingering Hate. Magna’s first Officer deals 11 damage to Bel Lahmu A and her second fires a blast of ice the shatters on Gilgamesh for another 11 damage. The Bel Lahmu bears down on Greater Lahmu B’s true location! Dealing 15 damage. Burn damage ticks, dealing 10 damage to each Greater Lahmu and killing Bel Lahmu A. Magna herself sacrifices her Bel Lahmu to Shadow Stride Greater Lahmus A and B and Bel Lahum B, with 32 damage the mud covered Lahmu is defeated and the other heavily wounded...perhaps something is off with that last one as well? Enma homes in on Bel Lahmu B’s true location after Magna misses it, she deals 12 damage, killing it. Kino can’t attack anything due to her target already being dead. Mira also finds herself standing over a corpse. Hiroki throws herself in front of the last Lahmu while firing all guns on Gilgamesh, she deals 42 damage with Giga Flare. A sort of odd silence falls over this part of the battlefield with the gurgling death throws and the many Lahmu and the smell of burning tainted flesh. No new pulse of magic arises to save them. Init: Status:
  4. Greg looks up at Vratislav from clutching his head before taking the bottle and drinking it. Str check: 15, Deadlift peels back the steel plating like paper, revealing heavy industrial grade machinery inside. [58] Inside the cavity Deadlift finds: 2 Hardware, generic Militech all-purpose hardware 3 Steel Scrap, made from high grade Militech steel 1 LV Cable, meant to transfer low voltage power into machines
  5. Evelyn, and those behind her, find the dome still and silent. No apparent life beyond the plants. Yweniwa's experience with plants causes her to have a gut reaction of "Don't go anywhere near that." when inspecting the trees. A careful inspection reveals that it seems to be a modified(genetic engineering, cross pollination, something) sample of a Manchineel tree, designed to produce excess sap in a soft waxy form. Roy's spell doesn't seem to help all that much, but does help close over the open portions of the wound presumably reducing the risk of infection. Greg starts to look a little more overwhelmed as everyone is demanding answers out of him all at once, but he tries to answer some of them, getting louder and most exasperated with each one. "Uhh we're in the Outdoor-training facility, can-canned food storage, near the p-poison gardens. The computer went nuts! Started shoving these-these microchips into our heads! Controlling us, making us put the others through the same machine! Oh god oh god oh go-ahhh" Shortly after he started rambling he reached up and started clutching his head then fell to the ground, he seems to still be alive if only just. As Deadlift approaches each of the doors he finds that they automatically slide away into the wall, perhaps they're afraid of him. Both of the doors lead down boring looking hallways that curve not far in, one with the sound of machines, the other with large orange pipes. (He can still tear them apart if he wants) Dex save: 2, Luck: 12 Shamhat's spell hits the tree dead center and with a loud *crack* it starts to come down. Right. On. Top of her. Shamhat attempts to sidestep the falling tree(that seems a tad taller than she predicted) but doesn't manage to get out of the way fast enough before being caught be a stray branch. Con save: 5, The sap in the leaves and bark of the tree permeates her robes almost immediately causing an excruciatingly painful stinging/burning sensation. Shamhat's MHP is reduced by 5 for the duration of the plot and her robes gain the following effect: "Toxic: reduces the MHP of the wearer by 50% until cleaned with powerful chemicals or magic."
  6. Evelyn and Roy unbar and open the door without issue. Outside after wading through boxes and rubble they see a large open area under an opaque dome. The ground is covered in a thin layer of soil and grass, there are walkways between each door and three trees around, one of which could hardly be considered a tree given its size. The bark of each tree looked waxy or oily. A few piles of stone and metal rubble littered the walls near the edge of the dome, obvious signs of disrepair. There were two other doorways out of the dome, each blocked by large heavy steel sliding door with no obvious handles or activation mechanisms from this distance. Morp floats over to the man/cyborg who retracts in fear. "Gr-greg." He throws his hands up as Chelchis point her weapon at him. "Mmmilitech research facility. Plea-please don't shoot me."
  7. Deadlift finds that the door has a small glass window he can look through and that it's barred from this side, somewhat haphazardly. Outside he sees assorted machinery, more smashed boxes and rubble, and a hallway leading out to the right.
  8. The woman responded to the initial wave of questions. "I am confidant you will make your own way when you get there." She waited several more second until the questions devolved into senseless bickering and boasting. She silently stood, something most of the party wouldn't be able to notice unless they were looking at her directly, and gestured with one hand around the top of her staff to generate a large orb of black and green fire. "Take your senselessness and begone!" She launched the orb into the middle of the room where it oozed black fire and tendrils of darkness rapidly creating a sort of pool of darkness. Those closest to it found themselves falling through the once solid floor and the others a second or two later, even those like Morp who were flying or Evelyn sitting in her chair were eventually sucked down into the darkness. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 1: The Teleglitch Incident Falling, everyone found themselves falling through an endless black void, unable to so much as see their hand in front of their face. Several seconds later they landed, some directly on the ground, some on cardboard boxes, at least on person landed on a stack of empty cans that hardly even dented. When you all wake up you see a small, dimly lit, and somewhat cramped storage room around you. Crushed cardboard boxes, bits of smashed shelves, and surprisingly tough empty cans litter the floor around you. A man is sitting huddled in the corner, something happened to him above the right eye and amidst the wound exposed metal can be seen in places, a single sort of lens and sensor replace his right eye. He's surprised by the ground and jumps onto his feet as they land. A single heavy steel door is the one clearly visible exit.
  9. "Fear not your Excellency, your companions are resting well in a nearby room." With a wave of her hand the woman created a misty vision showing that Chelchis' soldiers were indeed fine, all asleep in what appeared to be a large room somewhere in the castle. She dismissed the image and upon noticing the Evelyn had finished she turned her attention back to her. "I shall send them with my most trusted servant with them." The woman took Evelyn's letter and bound it together with hers before holding them up in the air. Suddenly the bird from the window swooped into the room, blowing past Morp in the process, and grabbed the letters before flying back out the window into the night sky. "Now that you are all finished I will explain where you are going and how you shall get there." She waved her hand to create another projection, this one was of a rocky, smoke laden planet with the occasional crystalline formation. "This rock, known as 'Medusa-1C' by the natives of its world is home to an abandoned military research complex. The computer running the complex was touched by a creature known as a Trespasser, an interdimensional horror. If you secure enough of the complex and obtain a duplicate of the corrupted computer it will allow us access to the factories and resources needed to raise an army." As she spoke the projection shifted from rough terrain to a clearly man-made metal structure of stone and metal sealed off from the harsh environment of the planet's surface. "For your method of travel...I have another associate working on something more permanent, but for now I shall personally create a pathway from here to there."
  10. The woman mearly raised an eyebrow at Evelyn's reaction. "If simply contacting your superiors is the issue I can send off a letter now explaining the situation in excruciating detail." With anotger wave of her hand a trifold letter appeared in a flash of green flame along with a piece of paper, inkpot, and quill in front of Evelyn. "Write what you wish and I will send your letter as well." After she was done with that she turned to the floating orb. Opposed Ess check: 4, "There will certainly be books, however you'll find that those simple trick do not work on me."
  11. "I was not aware either. No matter if you wish to return you may, out that door, down the stairs to the left, and then follow the path to the outer courtyard." As she spoke she flipped her hand, magically opening the door. "You may then jump into the abyss and swim to your destination of choice, you are good at swimming yes?"
  12. The woman sighed something between disappointment and amusement as Chelchis raised his weapon. She reached over and made a motion with he free hand over the sphere on the top of her staff causing it to glow a soft lime green. "It is very rude of you to draw weapons in my home. Perhaps you will consider setting them aside for a moment so we can speak of what is so very urgent for you all." As she spoke Chelchis found his arms growing more and more tired until he was almost unable to grip his weapon any longer, much less hold and aim it accurately. She looked slowly across the room, scanning to make sure at least the majority were paying attention. "Listen closely for I will not repeat myself. I have plucked you from your tiny worlds to assist me in my plans. In the multiverse there are infinite untamed worlds waiting to be subverted and dominated by capable masters. I wish to unite them all under one glorious leadership, yet though I am one of few capable of providing reliable transportation between the worlds I am incapable of setting foot inside them myself."
  13. Everyone awakens in a damp stone room. Slumped against the walls or piled flat on the floor, a groggy sensation lingers for a few moments something akin to a hangover or being drugged, but it passes with unnatural swiftness and in a moment of two you're all able to stand. The room is dimly lit with only a few candles in sconces on the walls and a single candle on the table in the center of the room. The table, which looks practically ancient, appears to have been cut out of a single truly massive tree and intricately carved, not that any of the carvings are recognizable anymore. Several large, heavy wooden chairs surround the table with one broken chair kicked off into the corner and a single chair slightly taller than the rest sitting across the table from you all. An open window in the stone walls on the other side of the room reveals a swirling night sky the likes of which none of you have seen, the view only remains for a few seconds before a large bird lands in the window and obscures it. A banded wooden door behind you seals this room off from the rest of the castle. A...being sits in the single tall chair with a black cloak, a staff in one hand, and long horns spiraling upwards from its head. It, She? Begins speaking softly and slowly in a smooth and even tone. "Please...come, sit down. Make yourselves at home... Introduce yourselves... All will be explained shortly." As she speaks she waves one of her hands slowly and with a soft greenish glow all of the other chairs move out from the table.
  14. Everyone waits with bated breath, watching the setting sun and wondering which rustling bush is an innocent animal and which is a sign of the approaching hordes. Eventually though the thundering footsteps grow louder and louder, supplies like ammunition and healing potions are passed around while the Nurse sets up a makeshift medical tent near the walls. Quickly the siege engines are loaded while Satomi, Kusuke, and Az are ushered inside the walls. Music: Brilliant flashes of plasma and the crashing of trees announce the presence of the Goblins in the South, a massive swarm of Goblins of all descriptions and a single Ogre march along either river bank. More crunching and crashing can be heard in the forest beyond, this isn’t all there is to come. From the East well managed Hordes pour in from the Desert with carts of supplies. Archers immediately open fire on the walls while the others are constructing...something. From the West a slightly less thunderous approach, the Horde here is thinner, already weary from travel and low on morale. Two Ogres drive up the front with Mage batteries slinging spells from the back and armored Hordes in the middle. Stockpile: Init: Status:
  15. Owen ducked out of the building with armored man slid to a stop at the same cover. He noticed the vials but decided they weren't worth the risk. He turned to reply to "Immanuel". "I'm Owen, now tell me just why the hell you thought it was a good idea to pick a one on one fight with god-damned Cu Chulainn?" Owen paused for a split second to look up at the glowing streak that just appeared in the sky. He really wished he could see where that bastard went and what was going on with this place. "And don't get hit by the rifle if you value you life, not even a graze." (Reroll the first 2)
  16. [82] Satomi finds the Dryad harvesting...something out of some strange looking plants she's never seen before. "I was just making some up now, give me a second and you're welcome to a couple bags." The Dryad turned back and pulled out a bowl of fine powder glowing a silvery-purple color, she mixed the two ingredients and divided them into several bags similar to the one she gave Satomi before. "I understand that you want to clear this corruption up as soon as possible, however I've inspected the perimeter and from all I can tell it won't spread beyond the flowers any time soon. It would be tragic if the town was attacked during your absence and we suffered more losses than necessary."

  19. There exists an untold number of universes, each with its own friendships, wars, gods, and demons. Each one with countless stories to tell. More are generated every instant, as new possibilities unfold and new minds are born with new ideas in a fractal expansion. However, one of these many expansions went terribly, horribly wrong.Horrific monstrosities, barely having a true form and defying all common or uncommon logic in description, were born in the gap between worlds. They ached to fill the gaping void within themselves with true existence, and so they fell upon the myriad worlds, devouring all that they ran across, some assuming the forms of familiar foes turned alien and some forcing their way into the hearts and minds of the people responsible for protecting the worlds they lived in. Not that any of that matters to you. You're here to sail your ship, turn a buck, and live to fight another day. System: SHIPS ARE HERE! 20. After looking over the ladder with an expression of curiosity and worry Iva decided that it simply wouldn't do. So she backed off a little and once she was sure the Cops were gone she quickly transformed and with a wave of her scepter created a large snowdrift. Something tall and strong enough to support her weight, but that would melt away fairly quickly. Then she simply climbed up into the shimmer. ML=5, Ice Control=10, Total=15.
  21. [24] When Satomi arrives at the Agony she doesn't find anyone else there, neither the Dryad or Lucille as Leo had specified. Beyond the wall of sunflowers the leaves and grass are all bright cobalt blue and the bark of the trees has shifted to a solid black. Something hangs down from one of the branches, it looks like it could've been a squirrel or bird at one point, perhaps it was both? Whatever it was it's now got black leathery skin with the occasional tuff of bright cobalt fur or shredded feathers. It quickly scurries along the branch and out of sight. Not a minute later she turns around just as something big, green, and Orky comes crashing through the forest.
  22. Part one: Part two: Leo returns to town, and climbs up the tower, then he takes out the megaphone. "Attention, A new corruptive biome has appeared to the south. As of right now, it seems to lack any noticeable hostile entities, and is under containment by sunflower. However, it should be treated with the same caution you would show to the corruption or crimson until we know more. Also, If you find a little dragon of immense magical power with a yellow gauntlet before Lucile or Tania, Please direct him to one of them. We would very much like to discuss the possibility of him moving his little creation elsewhere."
  23. Over the past couple week Owen had been slowly inching closer to just saying "Screw it" and leave this whole thing to sort itself out. It just so happened though, that he caught this group here tonight. The answers to at least some of his questions were standing in front of him, he just he to keep them from getting shot to death. That train of thought abruptly ended as an ivory bullet exploded on the asphalt next to him and bloomed into a wicked flowering of bone tendrils. While he recognized the effect he wasn't exactly sure what to do, he doubted that he'd get the chance to force-feed the sniper dog meat. With a(perhaps foolish) snap decision Owen gestured upwards and called out. "Lugh, ancient god of sun and storm, master of all trades, I call upon thee, I ask that you sling a stone from the heavens upon my enemies!" With that Owen brought his hand down and pointed at roughly where the sniper was. True to his request a tiny speck fall to that spot from the sky, quickly followed by a brilliant flash of lightning and deafening crack of thunder. After what was hopefully a decent distraction Owen started running and took cover near the sniper's pillbox. Call the Ancients: Spirit of Lugh [3] Charge forward into cover.
