A thin blue ring appeared in the back of the Engineering Bay, it quickly expanded to an oval two or three feet wide and twice as tall. On the other side of the portal through a glassy haze a glimpse of ivory gilded walls and spear wielding soldiers rushing forwards. A single figure fall through the portal before it popped out of existence behind them. The figure was wearing some kind of tan and red uniform, like something a common soldier would wear. Two things came to note however, they were covered in weapons(a sword, a whip, a bow, and a burlap sack full of round bulges) and in place of a traditional head that had some kind of mass of greenish moss or slime or something. They pushed themselves up and made several heavy breathing motions. It took a second before they seemed to realize where they were, or rather where they weren't. They looked surprised and a single orange eye darted back and forth looking around the room.

"We're in the castle that swims through the ocean between places. You're stuck here until it decides to stop at the above again, but I don't want it to stop, the above is always scary." She paused her wistful monologue for a second before returning to a serious deadpan tone. "You're here to fight the monsters. They don't want anything to exist because it hurts them. So you have to turn them into angels before they turn everything into nothings."

Friedhold made his way into the Barracks, specifically he went looking to the scientist familiar with the strange monster who's corpse he now owned and wished to experiment on. So with few words he was off to commit SCIENCE and left the Little Sister largely to her own devices. Nessa with her brightly glowing eyes, strangely echoing voice, and freshly bloodstained dress skips off down the halls of the barracks. And she didn't stop skipping until she quickly turned a corner only to bump directly into 6D and falling flat on her butt. "Oww that hurt. Why are you standing there?" She slowly picked herself up and looked at 6D with an unnatural unblinking stare.

Spicy HG stood in shock and awe as the massive rainbow blew their enemy into nothing more than ash and mist. More surprising to her perhaps though was the pulse of trace Share energy that followed in the shockwave of the blast. An attack like that didn't seem like it would've been Mitsurugi's purview, and she wasn't aware of any other Goddesses in the group, she had to make a point of seeking them out later. As the orbital strike started Friedhold dove to cover the Little Sister and try to protect them both from the flash of it, not entirely necessary given her ability to bounce back, but he did it anyway. He didn't actually stand up again until the dust had mostly settled and he could hear others moving around. He saw and heard the nobles from the castle approach though he didn't address them, he wasn't exactly of a disposition to talk at the moment as he was recovering from combat and shock much more slowly than the younger and/or more durable people around him. Instead he found himself a rock to sit on and started offering a soothing green glow to anyone in need of healing. Unsurprisingly however the Little Sister was already eager to get out and scour bodies for their blood. A disturbing sight indeed to see a little girl gleefully harvesting the blood of giant twisted monsters.

Spicy HG planted her glaive into the ground, cracked her knuckles, and stepped forward into the center of the battlefield. "Time to end this for real." She reached out and downward and slowly raised her hands to near shoulder height as if lifting something into the air. As she did the flames lashing around the Lahmu grew from mere tendrils to great white-hot pillars. Within seconds the Lahmu let out death cries before being swiftly reduced to inert ash. Spicy HG drew in power, causing the great pillars to slowly move towards her, leaving swaths of scorched ground and setting ablaze anything in their wake. She concentrated for a moment, drawing everything down into a dome of flames around her. With a rotating motion she released the energy, a spiraling wave of heat and destruction washed over the battlefield covering everything in a dense blanket of fire. The flames carefully whipped around Spicy HG's allies, doing no worse than a passing discomfort or singeing a few lose hairs. Quickly the fire died down leaving smoking, scorched earth, embers of dead grass, pools of blood lit up like lamp oil, and the self-fueling funeral pyres of vile monsters. Spicy HG took a deep breath as she looked up at Tiamat, she paused before knocking a stray bit of ash off her skirt and grabbing her glaive once more. "Don't die yet, we've still got work to do."

Empi lends another hand by granting Hiroki +14% damage dealt. Gabriel blasts the Emitter for 30 damage, his attack combined with the heat from Hiroki’s attack finish boiling off the remaining slime. Taimat burns. The Charger hits Perlita dealing 10 damage and disabling Media for her next action. [9] With a brilliant flash of light Perlita scours the Emitter, burning it into oblivion with 24 damage. The first BBQed Lahmu kneeled down in front of the largest of them before quickly being devoured like its predecessor. The second BBQed Lahmu starts ripping and tearing at Gabriel for 10 damage. [25 vs 3] Gabriel is helpless as he quickly becomes fully restrained by the creatures slimy, thick, and painfully barbed tentacles. He starts to experience true horror as he realizes that what happens next is reliant on how fast his teammates come to his aid. The Giant Lahmu angrily glares at the Charger as it stands once more. Jeanne D’Arc unleashes her charged attack dealing 66 damage and blowing off a chunk of flesh as large as a man. As the Emitter is gone Magna’s Officer retargets the Giant Lahmu dealing 13 damage to it and setting it on fire. The Charger attacks the Giant Lahmu as well dealing 10 damage, staggering it, and blowing off its newly grown strange limb. Magna herself summons another Officer. Enma attacks Tiamat for 16 damage and boosts her more lively sister’s next attack. The Wraiths attack for 7 total damage. Kino gets Tiamat ready for the grave starting with her nasty case of “living”, Kino deals 24 damage and heals herself and Enma by 4. Mira raises her weapon above the giant staggered monster before bringing it down in one brutal strike. Her blade cracked through the shell and tore through flesh as it plowed its way down into the ground ending the creature’s thrashes. Hiroki releases a wave of plasma on what’s left of the monsters dealing 14 damage to each before turning her heavy weapon on the monster currently holding Gabriel hostage. She roasts it alive for 37 damage causing its tentacles to rapidly curl back and release her somewhat shaken ally. Init: Status:

Primary Landing Bay: Roy steps outside in awe of his surroundings. It seems to be evening or morning and everything is bathed in a reddish-magenta light, thick green-grey cloud cover allows only feint glimpses of a fiery sky above. The land surrounding the facility is a rocky badlands with the occasional ravine, plateau, or large crystal formation. [61] It's at the edge of one of these nearby ravines Roy figures is the best place to spread the seeds, it's got a bit of a valley, some solid soil compared to other areas, and a plateau not far away protects it from wind. Chelchis presses the button requesting the Robotic Hardware Assembly area and the tram chimes to life, pneumatic door hissing open to make way. Should she step inside the tram will likely only wait a few more moments before automatically detecting her and moving along. Not even a second after Chelchis pushed the button did Morp float up behind her. Personnel Quarters: [8] Deadlift screams loudly and lets off a soft glow roughly equivalent to a cheap dollar store glowstick. While he's not fumbling around in complete darkness anymore he still can't see far and has to stop to scream again every few minutes. As he works his way closer to the sounds he eventually finds himself in some kind of intersection with a cistern sunk into the center, a massive stinking pool that all this water was flowing towards and getting flushed out of somehow. Int check: 24 vs 22, Lakia isn't familiar with this sort of poison, it's almost like Yoko inhaled flames without any heat and now well...her lungs are acting like they were boiled. Given this insight she does come up with some things to at least mitigate the side effects. (Yoko gains advantage on her next save) Lakia does a double-take on one of the strange devices, they're not entirely unlike some of the more complex or out-there lantern designs, and those bits of glass remind her of something mages might use that glows. A magical lantern perhaps? Not long after stepping into the darkness Lakia and Yoko start hearing Deadlift's screams from further down. They can't exactly tell why he's screaming, only that he is. Con save: 24 vs 30, 14 vs 18, Yoko's breathing doesn't get too much worse, but her skin is starting to itch all over. Deadlift also starts to itch. Plankton Farms: Vratislav and Evelyn find this other area to be merely another collapsed hallway, leaving only the other direction in the first intersection they found. Continuing down that second hallway leads to another large, but this time "indoor", room. An old sign that reads "_lan_ton En_ichm_ent a_ea" hangs near the entrance. The room itself is populated by more pipes filling the ceiling area and no less than 16 rusting tanks connected to them, each being eight foot tall and as large around. They hear the clattering of quick light footsteps as they enter along with the thud and ring of something soft impacting one of the empty tanks. Nothing shows itself yet... Robotic HW Assembly: Jezzabella opens the crate only to find it empty, it seems whoever was here before was just using it as a work table. Int check: 29 vs 40, Luck: 78, Hirata does manage to find a terminal, it is however far too corrupted for her to even begin to decipher. The most information she gleans from it is an old announcement about modified high-powered nail guns being misused, aside from that it's a fancy wall decoration.

Empi help Hiroki calm down after being hit on way too hard. Gabriel blasts Tiamat once more dealing 45 damage and setting her more on fire. Things burn. The horned Lahmu charges at Gabriel, dealing 7 damage and disabling Frelia for his next two actions. Perlita hits almost everyone with healing magic, restoring most of them to full or nearly full HP. The first two BBQed Lahmu attack Kino and Enma, dealing 11 and 13 damage while staggering Kino a bit, she doesn’t lose much though. The third of them unleashes its fiery breath and tentacles on Magna’s Officers dealing 11 and 10 damage. The first Officer has learned and though he gets burnt he dodges the tentacles, the second isn’t so lucky and gets thoroughly wrapped up. The giant Lahmu continues gnawing on Hiroki’s mech, managing 12 total damage but taking 20 in return. Tentacles wrap themselves into the joints and workings of Hiroki’s mech, but Hiroki keeps her cool and works around it, rendering the attack worthless(ailment resisted). The purple goo finally starts lashing out, both pools burning Jeanne and Magna’s heels for 2 damage each. Jeane starts charging something ominous… Tiamat burns. The first Officer burns the strange metallic structure for 3 damage. The second Officer begins the task of untangling themselves. The Charger rams into the Grand BBQed Lahmu for 8 damage, knocking it off Hiroki’s mech. Magna decides that her second Officer has already proven unuseful and kills him to power herself up. Magna deals 20 damage to the Emitter rending the outer layers of spikes off, then she deals 30 damage to Tiamat and the gravity warping Lahmu killing the latter and pissing off the former. The ground shifts slightly as gravity returns back to normal. Remnant procs healing Kino and Enma. Enma attacks Tiamat for 13 damage. The Wraiths attack for 1 and 6 damage. And finally Kino follows up for 25 damage and another stack of Debilitate. Mira strikes the Grand BBQed Lahmu for 22 damage! The beast writhes and howls as the strange limb on its side is obliterated. The Emitter pulses releasing another mass of purple goo. Hiroki tries unleashing hell on the Emitter but only succeeds in boiling away some of the protective goo surrounding it. Suddenly the air gets fuzzy, a hazy illusion wafts over the battlefield causing the Lahmu to flicker between perfectly well and healthy and burnt, bloodied, near-death states. (Enemy status obfuscation) Hatred stays its hand, no pulse of magic twists the Lahmu any further. Init: Status:

Frigus breathed a sigh of relief that the spell had worked so Nader and Rachel had a chance to get away. "Alright, I'm going to meet up with Harry and try to punch through to the cannon." With that he punched it, rushing over and stopping only a brief second or two to pull Harry and the Runner onto his glider. Frigus uses his Keyblade Glider to move one space forward, pickup Harry and the Runner, and finish his turn on space B4. He and Harry each gain 10% dodge chance for one round.

Friedhold: Stats: Con:4, Dex:2, Int:12, Str:4, Syn:8, Eve: 8/8, ADAM: 18. Active Cooldowns: What's a Cooldown? Effects: Gains 2 Eve every turn, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Someone push that madman behind cover before he dies admiring his own sick handiwork!" Friedhold huffed and wheezed as he looked down at his own bleeding wounds, given what he was about to do he supposed he wasn't all *that* far removed from the madman after all. Another silky black pearl, weighing on the fabric of space, he threw it towards the mass of twisted monsters attempting to gut him and the others. "Die damn you!" Friedhold uses Gravity Well on All the remaining Lahmu and Tiamat(if able) dealing 5d6 damage to each with a 50% chance to knock them prone interrupting them. This costs 4 Eve.

New Music: Rumbling can be heard coming from the North. Spike plants trigger in the West once more dealing 7 damage to the first Mages and 13 to the Spikers. No traps trigger in the Southwest or Southeast. Nor any traps in the East, tough luck. In a veritable blur adrenaline Satomi quickly resets and launches her weapon again dealing another 64 damage. The Ogre falls to the ground, gaping head and shoulder wounds profusely bleeding. Another rifle shot cracks out and the W Siege Ogre’s left side explodes, [76 Crit!] it takes 129 damage! Jun’s whirlwind of death turns her goblin targets into a fine blueish mist. She also fires the giant crossbow, [9] she hits skewering several and routing the rest. Toshiro sends W Mages 1 and 2 tumbling away, the second takes 2 damage. He skewers the remaining Mages in the first group with 10 damage and then deals 8 damage to the second group. The Arms Dealer starts mowing down the third group of engineers critting twice and dealing 62 damage. There’s nothing left by the time he’s done. The rumbling from the North grows louder, pounding on and on. The Horde in the West takes advantage of Toshiro’s brief exertion off the walls and starts wailing on him, they deal 10 and 14 damage before he manages to climb back up. The weakened Hordes on the West bank join forces but hold back for now. The Hordes on the East bank swarm full force picking and prying apart the wall for 175 damage, they each take 9 damage from the spikes. One of the Hordes in the East holds back, three charge forward onto the wall, and one fires at the Arms Dealer with arrows for 14 damage. The Dryad heals Arminius and Leo each by 7. Kusuke fires the SHOT Trebuchet peppering the East bank and dealing 8 damage to the slightly wounded Ogre, Bombers, and Horde of Hordes. He’s practically brimming with borrowed time. Lucille and Do attack the second group of Mages in the West for 15, 13, and 10 damage finishing them all off. The Demo throws another grenade dealing 11 and 12 damage to first two Hordes on the East bank. The Guide fires an arrow at the Ogre in the West dealing 10 damage. The Blacksmith repairs the Southwest wall by 17 while the Mason and Carpenter repair the Southeast wall by 29. The last of the Mages in the West raise a barrier around the Ogre there. The Mages on the West river bank muster a barrier around the second Ogre in the Southeast. The Guide and Tavern Keep burn for 5 damage. The Siege Ogre in the West slams into the wall again dealing 120 damage as it pulverizes stone into dust. The closer Ogre in the Southeast hammers on the wall more dealing 114 damage and taking 12 damage from the spikes. The other Ogre in the Southeast makes its way towards the wall. The rumbling in the North is getting more distinct….footsteps? Two large explosions rock the Southwest wall, stone cracks and splits as it takes 68 and 57 damage. Pyrotechnics wielding Goblins cackle in the distance before joining in with the Hordes. Small explosions can be heard from within the village, it takes 68 and 66 damage. The other Strafers start dropping rocks from above the walls hitting Satomi for 0, 8, and 0 damage and Kusuke for 7 damage. The Tavern keep throws another Molotov at the Spikers. The Spikers burn for 8 damage each. The last remaining Engineers produce another ladder which the waiting Horde places against the wall bringing the total up to four. Rose fires a blast of ice at a Horde of Goblins that happens to be charging her way, she deals 21 damage. Leo whips up another frosty breeze to make the Mages slightly more uncomfortable. He deals 5 damage to a few enemy types and 0 damage to most. The Spikers in the West start throwing more spike-balls over the walls, this time aiming for lucille and the Tavern Keep directly instead of area denial, Lucille takes 0 damage while the Tavern Keep takes 9. Arminius inspires the tank before sending Piglet off to battle, Piglet on the other hand is a bit less inspired. The tank rams into the Siege Ogre planting sharpened bits of metal scrap into its leg dealing 29 damage, [37 vs 26] but instead of falling over the Ogre sort of glares down at the tank. Az starts peppering the Horde in the Southwest with bits of metal and lightning dealing 19 damage. The rumbling is even louder now, even the goblins in their battle rage feel it. Spicy HG: HP: 69/70 Stats: Con:8, Dex:0, Int:0, Str:10, Syn:12, .EXE:19/32(2/4lvls). Active Cooldowns: 3 Coupling Attack, Effects: Damage(dealt) cannot be reduced below 25%, 15% DR vs Physical damage. Immune to fire damage, Takes double cold damage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spicy HG stepped back and huffed in irritation having just pried a Lahmu off of one of her ankles. "I'm starting to get really sick. And tired. Of these ankle biters." Her eyes started glowing with fire and flames whipped up in her hair. The air rapidly began to dry and heat up, small brush-fires starting here and there. "Burn!" Great tendrils of fire erupted around each of the Lahmu and even Tiamat, quite literally trying to cook them alive. Spicy HG uses .EXE Conflagration on All enemies inflicting a burning effect for three rounds that deals 3d6+12 fire damage each round.

Empi strips off all of Gabriel’s...status ailments. Gabriel applies MOR FIRE dealing 20 damage and stacking on the status effects. Sun Arcana burns for 13 damage. The remaining Charger slams into Jeanne D’Arc dealing 12 damage and rendering Conflagrate unusable for two actions. [5] Perlita blasts BBQ Lahmu A for 12 damage, it starts pulling and tugging on strange points in space to get away. The first two BBQed Lahmu gang up on Gabriel dealing 7 and 12 damage, Gabriel is almost staggered by the assault but manages to recover(resisted status ailment). The third BBQed Lahmu makes a swing at Magna’s remaining Officer for 9 damage. [24 vs 12] It’s hooked tentacles wrap around the man making him unable to move or resist, much less attack. One of the “Sauce” cover Lahmu throws itself in front of the Greater BBQed Lahmu who accepts the humble offering and shoves the entire smaller Lahmu in its mouth, munching it down like that one cousin at the family picnic. The Greater Lahmu twists and contorts growing in size as several new limbs punch through its body, including the previous Lahmu’s strange limb. (Becomes Grand BBQed Lahmu) The Grand BBQed Lahmu charges Hiroki slashing and gnawing at her mech relentlessly. It attacks twice for 0 and 2 damage, it takes 29 damage from the burning The blueish slime infuses itself around the metal structure once more, repairing many of the bent and broken spikes. Jeanne D’Arc finds herself unable to muster any flames. Likewise the undead Officer is a bit tied up right now, though he’s struggling free. Magna acknowledging her need for more firepower opts to summon another undead Officer. Tiamat burns for 14 damage. Enma attacks Tiamat for 11 damage, “weakening” her to boost Kino’s next attack. And attack Kino does, she follows up with another 25 damage and her two Wraiths for 3 and 1. Mira steps up and swings, striking the Grand BBQed Lahmu for 19 damage. The Emitter pulses, unleashing a somewhat thicker pool of ooze. Hiroki simply sits there weathering the storm of tooth and claw and twisted limbs. The gravity changes briefly again, Hiroki, Magna, Kino, and Mira all lose their footing(25% failure chance). A pulse of wrongness washes over the battlefield, the Lamhu begin mutating again… The first BBQed Lahmu starts flickering like a bad projector, the second grows a thick leathery shell, and the third grows even more tentacles. The Lahmu Charger grows a pulsing point of energy on one of its limbs, anything straying too close is drawn in, even light. The Grand Lahmu grows masses of hooked tentacles much like its smaller brethren. Init: Status:

Primary Landing Bay: Chelchis finds that the board lists many of the same locations the Hirata listed off of the teleporter's computer. Notably the Poison Gardens, Outdoor Training Area, and Teleportation Research are all omitted from the list, as well as Plankton Farms not being listed as abandoned. Otherwise this system seems to be a backup from a time before the teleporters existed. Personnel Quarters: [82] Deadlift heads deeper into the sewers, it only gets darker here on out and a few hundred feet in he can hardly see inches in front of his face. The path hasn't changed direction and he can here the soft murmur of a small waterfall up ahead. [92] At the bottom of the stairwell Lakia and Yoko find themselves at a door labeled "Sewer Access", several alcoves in the wall hold lights with large belt-mounted batteries, reflective vests, and breathing filters for the gas. Plankton Farms: Greg pauses confused for a second before answering Vratislav's question. "They're boilers for purifying the water before it's used to grow more plankton in those massive tanks back there." [59] Vratislav finds a partial box of [4] shotgun shells(assume these are converted with acid if you like), a small lump of reddish clay with wires and metal sticking out of it, and a can of MEAT. Greg steps over upon seeing the "clay". "Hey you found some RDX, kinda odd it's in here but useful none the less. It's a plastic explosive, arm it and set the timer and it'll go off with enough force to cave in a fragile wall." Robotic HW Assembly: Hirata finds a room not unlike that of the generator room in the previous area they had all been in. Several large machines all running to provide backup power to the area. [83] She sees a single crate off to the side, on top of it there is a strange piece of slapped together improvised explosive along with some leftover supplies.
-
Personnel Quarters: Deadlift pulls himself out of the water without much issue but finds the concrete difficult to make functional handholds in, there is however a simple ledge he can walk along. Lakia discovers the door completely unlocked, upon opening it she finds two more doors immediately to the left and right and a hallway that leads forward about twenty feet before ending in a collapse. The door to the left is full of assorted clearing supplies such as chemicals or a mop while the door to the right opens to a stairwell leading down. Primary Landing Bay: Morp heads through the door to find himself on a small section of catwalk overlooking a large mostly empty room full of conveyor belts, sorting systems, and shelves. Automated robots sit at the walls waiting for cargo to be sent through the facility and an empty cargo tram idles on the far right end. Roy sees a large field of energy being used as an airlock for ships entering and exiting the facility. On the same side they came in from a bit closer to the field there is another door, through it Roy finds a sort of locker room. A number of bulky suits are hanging in "pods" from the walls near an airlock bulkhead. A plaque on the wall nearby lists in agonizing detail the procedures, conditions, and requirements of leaving the base on foot. Plankton Farms: Vratislav finds very much the same room. Robotic HW Assembly: The group follows a fairly plain hall with a walkway on one side and an in-ground rail line for heavy cargo on the other, the other end of the hallway(a set of open double doors) drops them out in a large production line room. The entire line has been halted leaving locked robotic arms working on half-build metal skeletons. There is another "normal" sized door opposite the large door the group enters from and the actual production line extends a fair distance left before turning and a somewhat shorter distance to the right before reaching a large closed door that compartmentalizes different portions of production.

Robotics HW Assembly: The Imp Vanguard unleashes a trailing laser across the battlefield dealing 10 damage to Jezzabella and 10 to Ichi, Jezzabella throws herself in front of Yvette and takes another 12. Hirata finally convinces her shotgun to cooperate and deals 3 damage to the remaining Black Imp, it explodes with more force than it has any right to in a violent shower of gore. The contracted Black Imp hovers around Shamhat not doing much. Ichi Overcharges and smacks the Imp Vanguard twice, once for 6 and again for 8 damage. Yvette boosts Jezzabella. Jezzabella fires her weapon dealing 8 damage to the Vanguard who explodes, peeling back layers of twisting and writhing tentacles until all that remained was a grotesque flower-like mass of flesh. [80] Something strange appears on the ground near the monster...a wolf head? It appears to be a hood made from a truly massive wolf's head. Everyone gains 1 Merit. Primary Landing Bay: Chelchis passes through a fairly short hallway with an intersection leading off to another large room on her way to the Rail Transit area, once she gets there though she's...well perhaps a bit disappointed. The room consists of a simple catwalk with a bench, clearly fake plants, and a navigation board. In front of her is an empty automated passenger train on a single rail, down below she can see a larger train obviously designed for heavy cargo waiting to receive a shipment that will never come. Plankton Farms: The room Evelyn finds to the south was perhaps strange to her. Two rows of three large electric furnaces and boiler tanks each and a tangled knot of pipes that fills the ceiling. On ground are a few more bits of corpse, left over meals from the Mutants by their looks, and at the back of the room a crate. Personnel Quarters: Str check: 49 vs 40, Luck: 61, Random Blitz: 15, Deadlift pushes off the ceiling and impacts with the ground, the force creates a shockwave that tears apart the flooring and throws Yoko and Lakia back. Several seconds pass as the dust settles and Deadlift stands in his crater, a sudden cracking sound is the only warning before the disc of material Deadlift is standing on breaks free and falls down. Deadlift lands in water, he goes down maybe six or eight feet before he reaches a thick layer of mud to kick off of and swim back up. Nothing reaches his face due to the Oz Kit, but the water is strangely slimy and there is a layer of foam on top. The only light to speak of comes from the room above and the chamber Deadlift is in appears to be a large horizontal cylinder extending parallel to the hallway, there are platforms on either side Deadlift could move to. What Lakia and Yoko see down the hole isn't pretty, and it's very....brown.

Music: You all feel a rush as twisting visions wash over the battlefield. You’re taken aback to times on this forsaken world, before this forsaken world. Memories of what you did, what you could’ve done, what you should’ve done. Dark figures loom at the edges of your vision, never quite if view, never quite out of view. Beckoning. Confusion. Twisted laughter and then their gone. Gabriel takes 9 damage, Perlita 13, and Magna 10. You all get the feeling something is about to go horribly wrong. Empi throws Magna a bone(r) and boosts her damage for two rounds. Gabriel blasts Tiamat with another burning-radioactive-laser for 46 damage, Tiamat is set on fire again. Tiamat burns for 6 damage. The first charger slams into Gabriel’s side for 8 damage, Frelia cannot be used next round. The second charger slams into Magna for 8 damage, Reap cannot be used next round. Perlita slaps BBQed Lahmu A upside the head for 9 damage. Two of the BBQed Lahmu begin tearing and clawing at the corpses on the field, dressing themselves in a paste of gore and viscera. If you ignore the vile stench and sickening reality they almost look like giant sauce covered chicken-wings. The two remaining BBQed Lahmu decent on Magna’s horde of undead, the first sparks and flickers before belching forth and stream of fire and radiation that deals 7 and 12 damage to Magna’s Officers, it seems a little burnt up after the attack. The second stabs at Officer A for another 12 damage. With the look the Greater BBQed Lahmu gives the others as they “Sauce up” you’re surprised it doesn’t pull out salt and pepper, instead it settles for stabbing the shit out of Kino for 16 damage. The ooze surrounds the construct, reinforcing it and causing it to grow. Jeanne sets Tiamat on fire...again. You can never have too much fire I guess. Tiamat takes 26 damage. Officer B throws lightning at the strange construct dealing only 7 damage, looks like it’s made of sterner stuff. The Greater Lahmu finds if difficult to stab something made of presumably solid metal to death(0 damage). Magna sacrifices another beloved pet to boost her damage a little(call animal abuse hotline when?), then she deals 30 damage to the Greater BBQed Lahmu, 34 to Tiamat(since the Creeper is gone) and 24 to the Emitter. The outer layer of the Emitter is rendered mangled, but it looks like machine as a whole is still functional. Enma haunts Tiamat some more dealing 13 damage and refreshing the debuffs. Kino gets extra spoopy and summons two Wraiths, the cheesiness of it makes her cringe so hard she takes 5 damage. Her scary skeletons deal 3 and 1 damage to Tiamat. Mira enters Lunar stance, prepared to counter anything that comes her way. The Emitter pulses once and more ooze rushes out. Hiroki says mean things to the Greater BBQed Lahmu while reinforcing her armor with a wave of plasma. Tiamat releases a pulse of magic that begins twisting and mutating the creatures on the battefield. The first Lahmu suddenly begins walking on thin air as if it were walking up an invisible wall, gravity itself shifts to meet the new “down” and only couple seconds later does the ground catch up. Hiroki, Magna, Kino, and Mira all lose their balance(25% action failure chance). Thankfully everyone keeps their lunch though. The second sprouts an oddly human leg with knee-high boots folded at the top to show the lace frills of thigh-highs. The third sprouts a human armor clad in heavy polished copper full-plate. The fourth grows wicked looking tentacles lined with barbs, claws, and hooks. The Greater BBQed Lahmu sprouts several extra arms. The first Charger violently explodes, splattering the other Charger and the first BBQed Lahmu with more gore. They each grow (more) layers of curling horns. The second Charger fattens up, muscle and flesh layer up behind the extra horns. Init: Status:

Plankton Farms: Evelyn approaches the mass that destroyed the wall, nearly floor to ceiling and several feet wide. The closer inspection reveals that whatever this is must have eroded the wall thin and Vratislav's tapping had just knocked the thinnest parts loose. Personnel Quarters: Deadlift and Yoko tear into the Oz kits like kids on Christmas morning, the sweet sweet relief of fresh air is a blessing if they've ever felt one. To Lakia on the other hand it's slowly getting harder and harder to breath, the air is a bit sour and extremely thin through here. She should be fine if she doesn't linger too long and doesn't try to do anything too active. Con check: 15 vs 22, Yoko can't take deep breaths without extreme pain any more and is coughing pretty steadily. Primary Landing Bay: Int check: 5 vs 2, With a little fiddling Chelchis finds a back maintenance panel for the robot's armor and opens it up. A puff of smoke immediately pours out before quickly dissipating. She disconnects anything labeled "High voltage" and finds that most of the damage is overloaded wires and a fried motherboard. Robotics HW Assembly: Music: The Vanguard starts charging something, its eye glowing brightly with purple energy. Hirata fires her shotgun, but the kick sends her aim wide. She deals 0 damage to Black Imp B and 1 damage to the Imp Vanguard. The two Black Imps teleport to Shamhat and quickly shank her in the back for 9 and 10 damage. [29] Ichi can't find a better weapon so they just smack the Imp again, this time they deal 7 damage. Yvette enforces her will over one of the smaller Imps, dragging it into her clutches and forcing it to do he bidding. Black Imp B joins your side! Jezzabella swings he weapon wide and hits both the remaining Imps for 8 and 7 damage. The lingering poison deals 7 damage to Jezzabella. Shamhat heals Yvette and Jezzabella for 12 HP each, then heals Jezzabella and Hirata for 10 each. Init: Status:

Primary Landing Bay: Ess check: 17 vs 17 Morp sneaks around to try and steal a piece of something from the robot, he manages to tear out some wires and odd looking metal. (Gain 1 "Wires" and 2 "Flux Rod") Chelchis prepares her Blink and moves to a place the Welder will have more trouble getting to her. It can be heard humming more loudly as it approaches Roy, it doesn't do anything yet though. Roy fires his Bioelectric Pulse cannon at the robot, it takes 8 damage and [Con 28 vs 16] it begins shorting out, Roy seems to have fried its main computer system. Very quickly feint wisps of smoke start rising up from it's shielding and the humming stops. Everyone gains 1 Merit for shear, dumb, luck. Personnel Quarters: Con saves: 10 vs 25, 14 vs 14, 20 vs 15, 9 vs 25, Yoko and the Midget each gain a Toxic gas stack. The Scav recovers from his embarrassing position long enough to fire another laser at Yoko for 11 damage. No one here seems to be paying Lakia any mind, at least not anymore that's for sure. With 20 damage even Yoko crushes the Midget's ribcage just as he's trying to stand again, he won't be making it. This time instead of armor cracking it's bones breaking and organs popping. With another 13 damage the second Scav is incapacitated. Init:

Plankton Farms: [4] Vratislav wanders around looking for anything of interest. A familiar warbling sound can be heard as he approaches one end of the chamber, as he taps on of the walls with his pole the thin facade of brick crumbles inward and his pole is wrenched out of his hand. The Teleglitch devours most of the wall he tapped in a chain reaction. [23] Evelyn pats down the corpse and finds a small pieces of strange material, it's slightly shiny and has the words "Security Keycard" printed on the side. Robotic HW Assembly: The Imp Vanguard disappears into a puff of black smoke and energy. Hirata's blunderbuss blast ricochets around the room impacting the two smaller Imps with little notable effect. The first Black Imp teleports behind Yvette and Jezzabella quickly slashing them each for 7 and 0 damage. The second teleports behind Hirata and slashes for 10 damage. [30] Itchi grabs the lid of one of the boxes they recently opened and hits the Imp for 5 damage. Yvette equips protection while Jezzabella tries to attack the Vanguard only for it to disappear, it rematerializes behind her and swipes for 12 damage, a strange poison from the strike burns Jezzabella. Shamhat attacks, but her pounding headache doesn't help for focus(1 proc). She deals 14 and 10 damage as the Imp flickers in and out of existence. Init: Status:

Personnel Quarters: Con saves: 20 vs 22, 11 vs 15, 7 vs 21, 17 vs 28, Everyone gains a stack of "Toxic Gas". The Scav holds his turn, not knowing if Yoko and Deadlift are hostile. [2] Yoko lunges at the Midget but something about the poison and lack of oxygen must be messing with her motor control allowing him(surely that couldn't be a woman) to roll out of the way. "PISS OFF!" The larger Scav points his weapon at Yoko and a beam of orange energy lances out from it burning through the air and into Yoko's side, she takes 8 damage. The Midget blasts Deadlift with his shotgun for 12 damage, the force of it knocks him off his feet. As Deadlift's punch connects with the distracted man's nether regions he feels something hard and plate-like crack and shatter under the force. With 15 damage Deadlift sends him staggering back and clutching important things. A flash of light from the other end of the hall and another gunshot-like bang. It seems that the Scavs weren't the only ones Deadlift's spirit aura attracted. (Lakia enters the area) Init: Status: Plankton Farms: [36] Int check: 19 vs 6, Evelyn steps through the large crack and into the Primary Growing tank. Inside she finds several piles of rubble and a corpse the Mutant was chewing on. Some of that rubble doesn't look like it came from anywhere around here.... Robotics HW Assembly: Yvette gathers her things, writes out the ritual circle, and attaches to Itchi's powercell again. Everything is going fine, or at least it was until the brand on her arm flares up again. Almost immediately her ritual circle started glowing purple and was replaced with strange and foreign glyphs in a growing ring. Within seconds several bright flashes passed and out of the circle came three Imp similar to the ones previously seen, all propelling themselves off the ground with some sort of gas. Two of them were similar, "Short" compared to their ally, but still over 7ft tall, they had leathery black hides with glowing purple eyes. The third was much taller than the other two, nearly twice their height in fact, it similar skin and many glowing purple eyes and a mismanaged cluster across its torso, two tentacles arced back from its "forehead" while at least eight more sprouted from various places on its torso. (Yvette and Jezzabella are the only ones forced into this combat, the rest of you can join at-will with loadouts and actions for the first round) Init: Status:

Robotics HW Assembly: [23] Yvette's spell reveals herself, Jezzabella, Shamhat, Hirata, and parts of Ichi. [50] Seeing as the crates are industrial sized, heat shielded, reinforced, and stacked up on top of each other it severely limits the options the group has for searching. Never the less more interesting things include: A craft full of sheet-metal, printed and perforated for easy molding, A crate of 28,000,000 nails over in the shipping returns section with a sticker reading "We ordered rivets", An 80 gallon barrel of blue paint, nonflammable and safe for human consumption, A crate of guns meant to be embedded in the arms of robots in the shipping returns section, a sticker on the side reveals that they're supposed to be right arms...they're all left arms,
