  1. Music: Uni staggers to her feet, picking off bits of wood splinter and scowling at Judge. Bridgett’s spell washes over he allies, two small rings appear under each of the targets, one nested inside of the other. The spell immediately goes to work healing Nepgear. 6D begins her combat procedures and practically starts glowing as two more rings appear underneath her. Similarly two rings appear over Judge. “HAHAHA More fresh meat!” Judge swipes once with the spike on the end of his hammer, cutting 6D for 31 damage. Nepgear rubs her head again, ignoring the injury like it’s nothing. “I don’t know who you are, but you really shouldn’t be here, it’s not safe.” Mira’s attack scrapes against Judge’s armor before catching him in the chin(impressive given his height) and dealing 30 damage. The rest of the party joins combat! Init: Status:
  2. Tania nodded happily and started to stand up. "That's good to hear. Personally I think you should apologize for trying to kill each other, but that's none of my business. Now I should really go help with the cleanup." With that and assuming no further protests she turned and wandered out of the building. "And I'm going to go get something to eat." Jeff also stood and wandered off to the bar.
  3. Tania sighed again, they were bickering over semantics. Eventually she decided to straighten herself in her seat, point and Leo and begin speaking in a clear, almost commanding voice. Almost like a mother sick of hearing siblings fighting over chores. "You will make a genuine effort to contact anyone in the party who wishes to be kept up to date before you begin testing involving hazardous materials and then you wait for a response." Next she turned to Kusuke. "You and anyone else who wishes to keep tabs on Leo's experiments will respond in a timely manner voicing any concerns you may have. Then if necessary all of you, including Leo, will discuss and assess the risks of the experiment. If the consensus is that the experiment involves too great of risk Leo will wait and propose the experiment at a later time when the risk can be better mitigated." She looked between them in silence for a second. "Will that be an acceptable agreement for the both of you?"
  4. Mira, quickly followed by 6D and Bridgett, eventually finds herself at some kind of clearing surrounded by trees and with a large crag in the center. Suddenly a girl is slammed down and plows into the ground right in front of the trio. She's holding some kind of high-tech gun, has bright purple/pink hair, and is wearing some kind of skin tight white body suit with matching thigh-highs and long gloves. A soft grunt and moan signifies that she's still alive. On the opposite side of the clearing another girl in similar dress, but with white hair and a black suit, fires an automatic weapon futilely as a massive black axe sends her flying through a tree. The source of the axe stands imposingly near the middle of the clearing laughing to himself. The left side of his face, along with his left arm, appear to be "glitching" much like some kind of graphical artifacting. They're alternating between a relatively normal looking arm that matches his black skull blazoned armor and some mass of writhing tentacles made of entirely random matter. The girl in front of you all starts to shift, she looks like she's trying to stand, albeit with little success. Judge hasn't seen any of you yet, but it won't stay that way for very long. A Real Fight Begins: CFW Judge suspends all non-pure damage dealt to him until the total damage dealt to him in a round exceeds the total damage dealt to him in the previous round. 5. The Tavern The palm of Tania's hand made swift impact with her forehead as Leo completely lost himself in a rant about making zombies. "Could you please try to stay on topic? Moving on, now that we've established that Leo's powers won't blow everything up at the slightest mishap you two still need to come to some sort of agreement on limitations or at least basic communication." The South Wall The creature struggles a bit as Azgrurk tosses it about, but soon enough the struggle is over. It lets out a final death whimper and then dissolves into a cloud of smoke and small pile of ashen rock. Satomi loses the ability to make use of her Heart of Vengeance perk until the start of the next plot. Arminius gains burn scars across his face, they have no mechanical effect outside of RP and can be removed with sufficient healing.
  6. Tania turned to answer Kusuke's question with a calm to heavily contrast his anger and frustration. "Yes you're right about every world working on different principals, but as for if the safeguard lingers after you all leave I honestly don't know." She paused and thought for several seconds, trying to puzzle through the unknown territory. "Well if the safeguard were to dissolve and normal laws take effect presumably it wouldn't selectively remove only what was containing his creations, but also whatever reaction was causing it to function in the first place."
  7. The Dryad watches Leo experiment and listens intently to his explanation, eventually though she gestures for the Tavernkeeper to bring her another glass of wine. "That was an interesting and informative demonstration Leo. Can I have that? Thank you." She reaches over without waiting for a response and pulls the chunk of Demonite ore out of Leo's glass, wipes off the rotten slime, and takes her own glass of wine. "Before we continue I think I should show you something." Tania then proceeds to drop the chunk of Demonite into her own glass and push it into the middle of the table for everyone to watch as exactly...nothing happened. "Now chances are what you just described is entirely accurate. For your own world. The issue is that fundamentally every world is different, and while there are some constants, you can never quite know what to expect." She reached over and picked the glass back up, removed the Demonite, leaned back, and took a sip. "Truth is all that Mana Attunement, Elemental Delineation, Ensouled beings controling every aspect of the world around then, none of that exists here. Magic floats in the air sure, and the Great Spirits certainly have the ability to scours the land with their will, but it's just not the same." She sighed and set back down her glass, leaning forward again. "I've already done my fair stent of this Multiversal heroism business, but I'll tell you something I learned during my time. If the Multiverse want's your help, it will help you. When I was traveling, despite being a universe apart from it I still retained the ability to channel power from my domain of nature here on this world, even on worlds completely antithetical to the dynamic of the Purity and Corruption. What I'm saying is that you aren't just moving from one place to another, you're taking a little piece of your own world with you. That is why the wine rots for Leo, but does not rot for me."
  8. Tania listened to Kusuke speak, then turned to listen to Leo and after the first several seconds reached up to rub one of her temples. He certainly had his own special "flare" for "diplomacy", she even had to look over and tell Kusuke to sit down and not lunge over the table at least twice. "Alright. Leo I think everyone here agrees that a fight is a fight, and no one really cares as long as you contribute without going overboard." She turned back to address Kusuke. "Now I know a lot about the inner workings of this plane, but I've never heard the term 'Elemental Delineation' before. Leo would you care to explain it in further detail?"
  9. She smiled slightly at his seeming willingness to cooperate. "Glad to hear you'll keep an open mind, now let's hope he does the same and this will be over quick." She turned on her heel and started walking down to the main room, which now not only smelled like food but was also fairly occupied by people eating said food. She led Kusuke over to a table where Jeff and Leo were just sitting down and sat down herself. "Alright I's like you both in turn to explain to me what exactly the problem is, please try to stay objective and refrain from purposefully insulting each other. Name calling won't get us anywhere." She glanced between Leo and Kusuke waiting for one of them to start while Jeff sort of leaned back with his mug.
  10. Leo As Leo climbs the ladder and opens the hatch the smell of stale air and old wood is quickly replaced with beer and freshly cooking meat. He looks around and finds himself behind the bar and face-to-face with the Tavernkeep who is halfway through drawing a pint of beer for the Guide. A moment passes and the Guide takes his beer and then gestures for Leo to come around the bar and follow him. "Why don't you follow me and sit down." He makes his way to a nearby empty table and sits. "Tania wants to talk to you and Kusuke, try to figure out and solve whatever problem caused you two to come to blows in the middle of town." Kusuke As he steps out of the room and sharply turns the corner he almost runs head-on into the Dryad. She looks surprised and stops him for a second to talk. "Oh you're awake, I guess that means Leo is going to be waking up soon too. One of the people in your group saw you to about to fight in the middle of town and hit you both with tranquilizers, a remarkable shot considering. I don't know what started it, but I think it would be best if we all sat down and had a polite conversation to work out a solution. Can you do that?"
  11. As Leo and Kusuke square up they feel and odd presence watching them, something to make the hairs on the back of their neck stand up. Kusuke charges forward, giving no shits about whatever organized duel Leo was planning, and teleporting behind him ready to slash the backs of his arm....only to feel and very sudden and hard impact in the middle of his chest as soon as he teleports. It didn't hurt much, but the shock was enough to throw him off and by the time he glanced down to see what hit him it was already too late. A single syringe already empty of whatever mystery fluid was inside pumped directly into his bloodstream. He watched as the world melted around him, he started to lose balance and fall backward but blacked out before he even hit the ground. Leo whipped around to respond to Kusuke's teleporting attack(honestly a lot more slowly than he would've liked) only to find him already falling backwards with a syringe dart in his chest. Before he could do anything about it though, he too felt a thud in the middle of his back and felt the effects of the tranquilizer, soon falling over on his side. Some time later(minutes? hours? days?) they both awoke, Kusuke in his Tavern room and Leo on a spare bed in the cellar. Leo would see a ladder and trap door leading up to the main room, while Kusuke obviously already knows the way down. Should either of them choose to explore, they'd find the doors out of their rooms unlocked.
  12. Satomi's words and resistance cause little pause as Azgrurk scoops her up in one hand and starts walking down the hill toward the woods. As the gremlin holds tight to Arminius' leg her swiftly kicks it several times in the face until several rock crack, including the one making up its nose, and it pulls back its hands in shock. Azgrurk follows behind and picks it up by its feet, allowing Arminius to make his getaway and slip behind treecover. The monster twists and pulls and screams trying to get at Arminius until he leaves its sight. At which point it crosses its arms and makes a pouting expression while huffing and kicking up smoke, creating a light haze around its head. It doesn't look happy, but it isn't trying to attack or escape Azgrurk.
  13. Right around the time Mira stomped off into the woods and Iowa finished her demonstration a speck appeared over the treeline, it looked wing and was clearly larger than a bird, but from this distance it's exact form couldn't be made out. It held its position in the air for a moment while charging a growing orb of light. A small laser, barely visible, flickers to life in front of it pointing down at about a forty-five degree angle only to be followed by brilliant beam several feet across and bright enough to momentarily sear into the vision of anyone looking directly at it. The beam fades quickly though, and is followed by the speck receding back below the treeline and a slightly warm breeze that washes over everything several seconds later. Mira only notices a bright light above the treetops and the warm breeze from the direction she's walking. The one remaining guard, who had been sitting awkwardly at his motorbike listening to a radio-headset and talking quietly into it occasionally, goes from "awkward" and "decidedly concerned" as the beam of light fades and he glaces over by the party.
  14. As Azgrurk approaches the conflict he sees a number of things, first off though is Arminius running as fast and as far as possible. Con save: 10 vs 13, Which as it turns out isn't actually that far. He manages to sprint about a hundred yards before his already severe wounds get the better of him and he has to slow down before he tears something and passes out. This does prove inconvenient though as the flaming gremlin thing blots off after him steadily gaining and restrained neither by wounds nor exhaustion. Str check: 17 vs 19, It leaps into the air and slams into the back of Arminius' leg with all the force of....a wet paper sack, granted a wet paper sack that was also covered in incinerating flames that give him another third degree burn. The last thing Azgrurk saw was Satomi taking a position he was probably familiar with. It wasn't something the Humies' used for fighting, rather when the fighting went bad, when they were scared, confused, and just didn't want to do this any more.
  15. Friedhold started to answer Heidrun's question, but didn't manage more than about half a word before he got cut off. He seemed at least somewhat disgusted at the finer details of the mass destruction caused by the previous group, going so far as to scoff at Halley's last remarks. "How long will it take you to discover that who can kill who more and faster isn't everything? I would not be here, and my world would not be in the state it is if not for foolish obsessions with destruction." He sighed, shaking his head and reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose while mumbling something under his breath. "We could have saved everyone. Instead we tore eachothers throats out, it speaks to the human mindset."
  16. Frigus watched the Avatar appear from its pillar of energy and the anxiously waited while Harry patched up Ao. "Hey I think we need to- oh" He turned around just in time to watch Harry start sprinting off into the distance, so instead he turned to the only other person standing there. "Well he can take care of himself, but it's time to get out of here, jump on let's go." Frigus uses his Keyblade Glider to move himself and Ao to C6, granting them both 10% dodge chance for the round.
  17. Friedhold was honestly surprised by just how defensive Heidrun had gotten, but he didn't let it show long, if at all, and quickly shifted to a more relaxed posture. "Alright. You have made you point very clear, and I have no intention of doing anything of the sort." He hadn't been trying to antagonize her...much, but the reaction certainly showed she had something going on he needed to be worried about. He glanced down at Nessa again and was reminded of something. "In case you were concerned she is to my knowledge incapable of contracting any form of infection or illness. Due to her uh...unique biology." He gestured to her while speaking which draw a brief glance from her overall disinterest with the conversation, despite the commotion.
  18. "Perspective. You can learn much of someone just by where they are from, what hardships they have faced." Friedhold's body-language suddenly changed as he turned to directly face Heidrun, looked her in the eye, and narrowed his own. "Now tell me, you seemed so very adamant that no one touch you for fear of some kind of illness. Yet you willingly touched this child. Why?"
  19. Nessa recoiled at first, but inevitably accepted the caress. Freidhold nodded, while he had certainly done more than his share of terrible things in life, he was still fairly sure he hadn't had anything to do with whatever had happened to this woman. "I cannot claim that I have done all good things in my life. However I make an effort now to put things right, and perhaps others will learn from my mistakes." He paused in thought for a moment, trying to come up with something to change the subject. "What is your world like then? This place, it is some kind of advanced society, tainted with the dredge and rot and suffering. Where I am from it is not dissimilar to this place, technology is more simple, I came from a whole city under the ocean. Beautiful place. Terrible place. Never go there."
  20. Friedhold frowned, it was always the child, though he guessed he'd never really get away from it at this point. Now having taken more notice of Heidrun the Little Sister attempts to hide, keeping Friedhold's leg between herself and Heidrun. "What did I do? I stopped a gang of thugs from tearing her open to eat the slug in her stomach and then removed much of her psychological imprinting." He sighed, he knew it wasn't what she meant even if it was what she asked. "She has been...modified host to a symbiotic slug, the extent of the changes I have yet to determine. Her name is Nessa." He reached back and, with a little resistance, gently shoved her around forward to meet the new person. Getting a closer look Heidrun would figure that the girl was probably about nine, maybe a little older, she looked thin and bony, though not starved, and her dress looked like it was about on its last legs from both wear and size.
  21. Owen looked over to the others as they were all shunted into some strange sub-world, two glowing knight-things appeared from nowhere, and some hooded woman cackled on the rooftops. "Just who the hell did you people piss off?" He didn't bother waiting for a response, he just charged forward swerving around the Gimbal-knight's lasers and attempted to force it to engage in melee. Alter to a 4, obliterate the first 1.
  22. As the group poured out of the elevator Friedhold took several steps closer to Heidrun, not enough to invade personal space, but enough that they wouldn't have to talk around other people. "My name is Friedhold Von Grimmelshausen. You watch me like a child watching a dark corner. Why?" The little girl following Friedhold at this point stares blankly up at Heidrun for a moment before seemingly losing interest and moving on to look at something else.
  23. The ride goes about how you'd expect. Your escort clears the roads and leads you out while most of the party gets a few minutes to take in the sights and sounds of the city. You pass buildings similar to before, though progressively smaller and more simplistic. Eventually though, several minutes later, you find yourselves outside the city in an place with more wooded areas, less dense housing, and similar such. Around this time most of your escort peels off too, leaving only one vehicle lead the Half-track where you all need to be, which as it turns out is some kind of nature trail or park or something. Whatever it is all the nearby signs refer to it as "Virtua Forest". Whoever is driving the Half-track finds a place to park right near the start of the trail. The trees here are moderately dense, leaving a few hundred feet of visibility, but not much more without some kind of assistance. You all can hear distant shouting, see flashes of light above the trees, and hear the occasional gunshot and/or small explosion. The wildlife has taken notice too and much of it is making its way out of the area, meaning it shouldn't be getting in your way. For a second the shouting is uncharacteristically clear, a male voice somewhat hoarse and pent up with frustration. "Come on, come on! Fight like you mean it!"
  24. Cell put away his sword for a second and reached into his bag to pull out an oil flask as requested, but found it empty. Stupid thing was never recharged when he needed it again, last time he'd ever steal a magic relic from that guy. Oh well, he pulled his hand out and shrugged at Cicivexa while shaking his head. Seeing the smoking fruit on the ground he decided advancing was overrated and instead summoned up a hazy aura surrounded by rings of golden symbols. Cell activates Aura of Laceration, causing any enemy that targets him with a melee attack within the next three rounds to take 12 damage.
