  1. "Nah I already talked to them." Frigus shrugs and keeps walking, moving towards and down the steps. "They're uhh reasonably peeved, but Ebon had a letter sent and things are mostly smoothed over. Right now I'm playing delivery boy and checking up on some older residents here." As he notices Law and Leo's attention to the mail cylinder. "This place actually has one of the best mail service systems around, whole city is built on top of a giant processing facility, it comes and goes from all over the place." He stops, looking over Law's package and catching sight of the small block of tech. "Huh, haven't seen one of those in a long time, mind if I take a look at it?" [71] Opening up the flap on the mail cylinder Leo receives...nothing! However, as he pulls back the flap he hears something winding up inside and as it closes a recorded voice plays with a gratingly jolly tone. "Send a postcard to someone you know! You might even win a prriiiiiize!"
  2. Spicy HG wavered forward a fraction of an inch as the old man came down the staircase, the trip of her glaive shifting only slightly before her grip tightened down on the shaft. White knuckled she stood, simply watching him as he spoke. She waited a moment, her hands and arms shaking ever so slightly, then she slowly turned her head to look at Mistu again. "We will meet again soon I'm sure." Very suddenly the aura around her collapsed and her arms and hands quickly relaxed. With a sigh of relief she dropped her arms and glaive down and slumped her shoulders forward. Taking another deep breath while looking at the ground she mumbled quietly. "That bitch"
  3. Law opens the flap on the mail canister to find a package wrapped in brown paper and string and addressed to him, untying it he finds: 9 Power Cells 16 Precursor Orbs 3 Red, 5 Blue, 3 Yellow, 3 Green, 5 Black, and 4 White Canisters. And a small squished square block of tech with a glass dome on top, a fine purple/pink energy is swirling inside it. Mirri finds a there aren't many windows to shop through, but through the one window in the "Items!" shop she sees a small counter of sorts with an older man leaning back in his chair, taking a quick nap. On the wall behind the counter is a shelf covered in assorted strange bottles, several tents, and other objects. In the corner there is a barrel that looks to be filled with many different kinds of staves and spears. Just about the time Law finishes opening the package, everyone notices the jingle of a bell as the door of the "Accessories" shop opens and closes and a tall man with spiked silver-blue hair and pale skin steps out. He glances up as he's putting a small package in his pocket and gives a bit of a shocked look to the sudden appearance of such a large group of people. "Where did you all come from?" Frigus reaches up to scratch the back of his head with his armored arm. "Actually, never mind, I probably have a better idea than you." He gave a quick gesture and shrug. "Welcome to Traverse Town, sleepy little village that acts as a sort of refuge for people that get shunted out of worlds, has a bit of a mind of its own sometimes."
  4. At Tsubasa's request for food Cell reaches up and hands her two fist-sized cherries from before.
  5. Something felt wrong, maybe a sinking feeling in your stomach or that little difficulty breathing, but suddenly the world around you blurred and started spinning. The feeling of being squished or sucked through a particularly small passageway was followed by total darkness and unconsciousness. Then slowly each person comes back to the world of the waking. Perhaps a little shaken, dizzy, or confused, but in the same health(good or poor) that they were in before with anything that might've been dropped or lost placed gently on the irregularly tiled brick ground under you. Looking around you see a small courtyard of sorts, made of red bricks and cobblestones, lit by gentle orange and black-metal lamps and the distant starry sky above. Buildings that look almost Tudor, with dark wood framing and red tile roofs, surround the courtyard on three sides(left, right, back) and stairs on the fourth. Behind is simply buildings with a huge wooden gate-door. To the left is an archway to an unlit alley and beside it some kind of business or restaurant judging by the many tables, chairs, and candles strewn about. Though it appears closed, understandable given the apparent time of night, there is another business next door a little further right with a large and colorful glowing sign that says "Items!". Forward are brick stairs leading up to a small landing in front of a building with several more glowing signs reading things like "Jewelry" or "Accessories". A path to the left leads to a second entrance for the "Items!" building and beyond it a small alley. A winding path to to the right leads up more stairs and back behind the central building. Against the small retaining wall to the right of the courtyard stairs there is a large red cylinder "wearing" a black tophat almost as large as itself. There seems to be some kind of mouth painted over a flap in the front of it, the word "Letters" appears on the top hat. Finally to the right are more buildings and a gate-door not quite as huge as the one behind you. Above it is a glowing sign in gold and cyan that reads "Traverse Town 3rd District". Anyone who wishes for their character to appear here may have them do so and leave the plot they are currently in, though all characters from the threads Waiting For Godot, The Nether, Deadcells, or otherwise in Limbo are being moved to this location.
  6. Iowa puffs up, preparing to take a hit for her fellows in arms. “So my hand is forced.” Brave swings his sword over the battlefield, flames roar and lash out igniting all party members. None take any damage though, as the lingering concussion Brave is suffering prevents the flame from catching fully. Perlita blasts Lyra with healing magic once more, restoring another 22 HP. The first Viral A2-i recovers from stun, while the second charges chain lightning once more, firing off at Gabriel(6D intercepts), Perlita, and Atton. They deal 19, 25, and 9 damage. The two A2-i move on to Crushing Gabriel, dealing 8 and 6 damage. Atton blasts buffs on his allies. Bridgett overloads herself dealing 30 damage to SDHC No. 220, 20 to No. 225, and 12 to herself. Hurstwic ticks. Lyra slams her wrench into Brave’s intimidating armored form, she deals 6 and 4 damage. Brave’s corrupted arm raises slowly, seeming to waiver under its own weight before fou bolts of energy? crystal? fly out. Atton, Perlita, 6D, and Mira each feel a strange burn as the bolts make their mark, draining away their lifeforce. Each target’s MHP is temporarily reduced to their current HP. The SDHCs carpet bomb Mira and the two Falcoms again, dealing 54, 27, and 27 damage. The two girls together thoroughly finish off the remaining two High Bit Custom robots. Gabriel fires off more nuclear fire dealing 52 damage to Brave and inflicting Sun Arcana. Sun Arcana ticks. Mira, bloodied and beaten, drags her sword over Brave once again, extracting a scream as several plates fall off of Brave’s form, revealing servos and hydraulics entwined with tendrils of twitching glowing artifacts. She deals another 54 damage. SDHC No. 218 and No. 224 become Viral! 6D's action is held until the start of the next round. Init: Status:
  7. A particularly large ice crevice cracked and groaned and three large hairy ape-like creatures pull themselves through. The first two were slightly smaller with grey and blue and black to their thick coats, while the third and largest of them was mostly silver and grey. Prominent features included with them were four huge muscular arms each nearly half as large as the their torsos, long yellowed incisors, and a potent aura of stench, the largest as well seemed to have a necklace strung from some kind of wire and embellished with three human skulls and multiple rib bones. The largest creature roars, pounding its chest with its lower arms and causing the two others to echo the cry. Theme: Init: Status:
  8. Ignia shakes her head, why is it always people dabbling in the powers of the Heart? Why can't they just leave it alone? She pulls out a notebook like Frigus' and scribbles down notes on the blueprints, workbench, etc. Then she wanders over to take a look at the strange machine with Lucine.
  9. With a little effort and ingenuity Satomi and Vitor manage to get the horizontal ball and chain wrapped around a hardlight pole. The flexes and strains enough that they probably don't want to stick around too long so haste is made to crawl over the shelf structure and jam the other spike tiles. The next "room" is a bit of a T-junction between corridors, ahead you can see a splintered wooden door and movement beyond it, you catch a glimpse of black robes. To the left is a ruined corridor piled with old furniture and such, on the ceiling you can see bloated little green creatures snoring away. On the right wall of the intersection itself you see a series of stones carved with odd symbols and arranges in a large ring. There are two steps leading up to the stone rings and two or three motes of yellow-orange light gathering around them at any given time. Behind you you hear a loud *crack* as the hardlight shatters and the ball and chain return to swinging.
  10. Cell gives Hahli a nod and thumbs up, signalling he understands her. Then he knocks the mask out of the fire, lets it cool a while, and then hooks it through the eye like the others. He decides it's probably best to help set back up tents and get some rest before morning.
  11. Sha'Tith spat a bit of burning liquid on the ground as Doc Ock turned and ran. He would've loved to give chase, but his Skyfaller companions seemed to be in distress. Nothing a little gratuitous violence couldn't solve. So he turned a spat fire at the largest group of Deadites, tearing into the closest with claws as lightning and barbed fragments of metal lashed out on them. Sha'Tith uses Flame Breath on New Deadites as a free action dealing 2d6+23 undodgable damage. Sha'Tith uses Lemurian Claws as an action to deal 4d8+26 damage to New Deadites. Barbed Wire triggers for 1(pure)+20(normal) damage against New Deadites. Ukulele triggers dealing 1d6 electric damage to New Deadites four times. +20 damage taken from *single hit* attacks.
  12. Cell looks around a bit, surely there was some kind of metal vine in this strange world. Collecting something, he then heads back to the Nui-Rama and starts carefully prying the masks off of their eyes and stringing them through the eyeholes in the masks. He'll collect up a few, until he's got a fairly decent amount of material, then he'll head back to the fire and see what happens if he heats one up. Does it get pliable? Does it melt? Does it change somehow? Just turn a bit red?
  13. Hirata throws together a Techno-Babble Geiger Counter with relative ease. Taking the local readings she sees that the background hard radiation levels are higher than normal, probably a little too high to be healthy, but not immediately dangerous. Perhaps more worryingly she notices a high amount of some unknown energy signature radiating up through the rocks from below them. It doesn't seem immediately harmful, but the prolonged effects are unknowable. As Hirata finishes her scans the party hears whooping howls from beyond the ice. Pounding and scuffling can be heard through several cracks in the glacier. Something, or rather a very many angry somethings are headed this way.
  14. Vitor's "ice" cube first slides over the tiles with hole, clicking down buttons that cause spikes to spring upward launching it a couple feet into the air. From there the swinging ball above slams it forward, knocking it into the patch if long spikes where it sits for a moment before the horizontal ball hits it into the wall and eventually crushes it. That would've been painful. Satomi figures out how to jam and disable the spike tiles and thinks she could do the same for the other side too with general ease. The vertical balls are easy enough to avoid with the spiked tiles gone. But the spinning ball-and-chains and static spikes in the middle are another story, without the ball they could climb up onto the platform and move over the spikes, or if they could remove the spikes somehow they could crawl under the ball.
  15. Cell digs up his set of cards and flips through to find one and show it to Edmond. "Medicine" After passing off the bottle, or taking it back depending. Cell wanders over to the piles of dead Nui-Rama, specifically taking a closer look at the masks they seemed to be...wearing(?) over their eyes.
  16. Friedhold finds a nice shady looking alley or other area away from sight and activates his Houdini plasmid to become invisible. Then carefully makes his way towards a secluded section of fence and uses tiny bursts of Disintegration to cut a big enough hole in it to move through.
  17. Cell slowly lowers that smoking blue-white ice bow he had trained on the creature as it became apparent the others were ready to just have the fight end. He put it away with a decidedly disappointed look on his face. Wandering a bit closer back to camp he pulled out a bottle full of pinkish bubbling liquid, pulling the cork causes it to start flinging sparks and arcs of electricity. Cell took a swig that caused his body to visibly light up and energize before he passed the rest of the bottle to Edmond.
  18. Iowa’s shots pepper the surface of Brave’s armor, leaving little pit marks everywhere. A handful land in armor chinks and such though and she deals 10 damage. A voice cracks out from the great robotic figure, it’s masculine and at least somewhat modulated though that’s about all you can tell. “Leave while you still can.” Brave hefts his flaming blade with a grunt slamming it into a nearby building and causing a rain of rubble that hits Atton, Bridget, Lyra, and Perlita. They take 8 damage each, with exception of Bridgett who takes no damage. The Viral A2-i hums as something inside it charges, before it unleashes an arc of electricity that jumps to Iowa, Bridgett, and Perlita. Iowa takes 2 damage, Bridgett takes 0, and Perlita takes 0. Another wounded A2-i explodes in a cloud of Virus spores. The other two still resort to attacking Mira, hitting for 8 and 14 damage. Atton boosts the Init of Iowa and Perlita! Perlita heals Lyra, Iowa, 6D, and Gabriel for 18 each. Bridgett’s bindings whip around the Viral A2-i stunning it. Hurstwic regen ticks. Lyra breathes and regains another 13 HP. One of the tentacles wrapping around Brave moves outward, glitching, artifacting, and eventually exploding sending bits of twisted corrupt material everywhere. Aura of Greed I : All damage is increased by 25%. All of the SDHCs attack, peppering Mira, Iowa, and the Falcoms with explosives. They take 11, 2, 2, 5 damage respectively. The older of the two girls slashes at High Bit Customs No. 4641 and No. 4642 dealing 30 and 31 damage, reducing them both to scraps. The younger girl pulls out what looks like a prescription bottle and tosses it towards Gabriel. “Drink that.” The label reads “TEC Z”. Gabriel gains +6 Syn for two rounds. 6D slams her sword into the SDHC, dealing 19 damage as she cracks several important looking metal plates. Drinking the barely-masked-by-fake-grape medical liquid Gabriel sends a blast of nuclear hellfire over the battlefield, dealing 27 damage to five High Bit Customs, turning each into a puddle of red-hot metal. Sun Arcana ticks. The two remaining High Bit Customs continue their mission of projecting energy shields. Mira’s slashes deal 38 damage to Brave, gouging a decent trench in his robotic armor(?). SDHC No. 222 & No. 224 become Viral! Init: Status:
  19. With her last strike Spicy HG's glaive made a sound something like a whip's crack and the Black Imp's head went rolling off behind it. Some kind of energy arcs between her hands and glaive in an array of colors, mostly reds and purples. It also starts condensing in the air around her as motes of light that drift inward towards her. She turned, watching Mitsu's strike and then the hesitation. She reached out with her off hand and snaps her fingers, causing the imp to glow for a moment before flame erupts from its eyes, mouth, and any wounds, burning it from the inside out. "Perhaps it is-" She looked up to Mitsu as she spoke, eyes glazed over with the same glowing symbol from the first time they met, she reached up and slid a stray streak of silver-white hairs out of her face, "-Saigai Mitsurugi."
  20. Friedhold shrugs. "Do not believe I will try to implicate you." He reached down, grabbing the hand of the Little Sister before turning away. "Thank you for the fire." Freidhold walked on, back down the street away from the tower, looking for a long way around to the other side.
  21. Moving into the next room the party finds a series of collapsed or dead-end paths, another cell pit, and finally a long hallway. The first thing to notice about the hallway are two patches of the large floor tiles being filled with dozens of tiny holes, one of each end. In roughly the middle of the hallway there is a small field of razor wire and spikes with a narrow platform nailed crudely above it into the left stone wall. Lastly there are long slots in the ceiling over each patch of holes and the wall over the spikes that have ball-and-chains spinning on a central pivot, propelled by an unseen force. It would take a feat of dexterity to make it through the traps unscathed, and judging by the large blood splatter on one of the spike balls and wall near it. Someone clearly tried and failed recently. (Feel free to try and craft your way through the traps, make the dex check, or simply try and find another path.)
  22. [4, 3] [7] Even with her tech, reception in this plane is absolute shit and she isn't sure she gets much through aside from her location and "Bomb". Zoe and Harmony have the sudden urge to move away from the dais, something that is well warranted as a portal opens above it and from what Zoe can tell a small antimatter warhead detonates on it. As the smoke clears you see crumbled and blast-scared stone, but honestly less destruction that you expected. This stuff must be pretty sturdy. Underneath where the dais was there is a deep pit with groves running along the side, likely rails for some kind of lift. A feint purple glow is visible some hundreds of feet down. Sadly the doll, Vepr-12, is either caught in the blast or the portal and no remains are anywhere to be found. Hirata is distracted from her quest by the sudden earth-shattering KA-BOOM! that echoes through the cavernous space.
  23. Jack grabs a dropped rope and pulls himself aboard as the ship pulls towards the dragon in chase. Init: Status: Notes:
  24. Friedhold sighed and shook his head, then rubbed his hands together as one might to warm up. As he pulls his hands apart green motes of light fly and two concentrated bolts strike Kyle's chest and Scrapper's leg. "If that is all you want to tell me I will be taking my leave."
  25. Override: The sounds of battle fade, pushed to the back of Iowa’s mind as a stormy silence fills the air. Her main cannons turn to bare, before belching thunderous destruction that echoes across the tightly packed enemies. The main SDHC takes 72 damage and shutters to a twisted and beat mass, but still a functional one. All other targets take 36 or less damage(depending on defensive bonuses) with five High Bit Customs becoming inoperable. All enemies become Concussed. The shields around the charging SDHCs fail as their sources do. Three of the A2-i robots get it on good advice that Mira is the person to beat to death today and all swarm over her. She counters the first, and the other two hit her for 2 and 0 damage. Her counter attack deals 38 damage. The remaining A2-i twitches with critical damage before exploding in a flash of purple energy. A mold-like substance grows over it pulling metal back into shape and staining it various shades of pink and purple. A2-1 No. 150 has gone Viral! Atton heals Gabriel for 18 HP and Bridgett for 16. Bridgett summons up her defensive barriers around herself, Gabriel, and 6D. Lyra twitches on the ground. The two charging SDHCs release their lightning bolts. Gabriel takes 0 damage, but still becomes stunned while Iowa takes 6 damage and becomes stunned. Three fire on Bridgett for 0, 0, 0 damage and three on Perlita for 4, 3, and 2 damage. With a shout the taller girl in blue drops down on an Item Jammer skewering it on her sword, the other girl makes a horizontal slash that takes out the other Jammer. A quick glancing survey shows slashed and broken remains of the handful of robots that had stayed behind to fight the two girls. Even as Perlita pulls out the Life Crystal and dashes over to Lyra it starts breaking up in her hand and glowing so brightly it almost hurt just to hold. What she ends up passing to Lyra is an overwhelming, blinding, light. Lyra feels a soft warmness washing over her as she drifts back into consciousness, the blistering filling her throat and lungs slowly disappearing like they were never there. Lyra returns to the battle with 16 HP. Perlita restores 12 HP to herself. 6D shifts, moving to protect Gabriel. 6D regenerates. Gabriel sends a blast of fire at the transformed A2-i, dealing 19 damage and setting it ablaze. Sun Arcana burns. Four Bits defend the A2-i, two repair A2-i No. 150. The remaining three move to defend the charging SDHC bots. The Virus spreads to SDHC No. 220, purple and pink goop pulls metal framework back together. As the echoes of Iowa’s attack fall off dust settles in the distance and with thunderous footsteps a large humanoid figure approaches. You all see a mech or robot of some kind stepping out of the dust cloud, humanoid, largely blue and white with bits of red and a golden lion’s head on its chest along with what look like wings made from a fighter jet on its back and a flaming sword in its left hand. Black artifacting tentacles stretch over a large bullet hole in the side of his head and down several places of damage on his torso. Init: Status:
