  1. It feels surreal, knowing that it has been nearly 8 years since I discovered this game here. Thank you for all your work.
  2. Thank you developers for this wonderful journey. I haven't started playing yet, but this has been a blast, no matter how it ends. Take a break and good luck to you all.
  3. Hello everyone. I played through the game and I encountered a few issues. The Major Bug: My game got stuck during the grappling hook sequence from Lavender's path and doesn't progress. Minor Bugs: I cannot enter the room in the West Sewers, the one on the right, because Erick keeps reminding me of the Garbodor, even though I already completed the event when it came out. I have also not received shadow ball from Nastasia, due to defeating her back in version 6. Can anything be done about these issues? Thank you very much for your time. Game.rxdata
  4. Having read the Somethingawfyl's playthrough because I was bored, I wanted to ask the Old League's Reaction regarding the story. Considering the fact that this game's story is based of real life events, I wanted to know whether the developers had asked for input by the Old Leaders regarding the portrayal of the events that hapenned in the story (if they gave the okay to include them and how) ? I remember that this wasn't the only interpentation of the Reborn League, since there was also an old webcomic, but that has disappeared. Also, knowing that some of the leaders were still around during the game's conception, how did they react to the game and the way the events were portrayed ? Are some of them still around ? I'd like to clarify that I'm not trying to sound disrespectful. I was just curious about the input of the old members who were around during the development of this game, namely the Old Roleplayers.
  5. Will the mechanics for the EV Vitamins change into the ones that exist for Sword and Shield? Also, will there be new places to grind for EVs and will we get EXP Share for all ? Lastly, what about the Naganadel quest ? Will it remain unchanged ? These questions are mainly for the development team, though if anyone knows anything and wants to answer, I would appreciate it. Good luck to the development team.
  6. In pokemon reborn, there are some characters who constantly refuse to defend themselves against people like Blake and Sigmund, despite the fact that they posses pokemon more powerful than the ones the others are carrying. Sigmund in particular is a reapeat offender, strong-arming Heather and any of the orphanage kids during the raid at Laura's home. Blake also did the same against Heather and Team Meteor Grunts kidnnaped everyone at the tunnel except for Cain, even though they were all more powerful than them combined. Why does that keep happening ? Do some characters just refuse to fight back or something, because that has never been outright explained in-game. Unrelated, but good luck to the developers and have a nice rest. No need to push yourselves too hard.
  7. Can't believe this is over already. Feels like barely any time has passed at all. Congratulations for completing pokemon reborn, at least for now. Let's hope that the game doesn't change too much by episode 19. Since you are planning to play through rejuvenation, I would highly recomend that you check out the 100% walkthrough from BIGJIGRA, If you don't mind spoilers. It's incredibly detailed. Hope you enjoy pokemon rejuvenation as much as you enjoyed pokemon reborn. It would be intresting to see you playthrough version 12. See you there.
  8. Well, I had nearly forgotten how long that gauntlet battle was. You seemed exhausted by the time the third battle rolled in. Still, you managed to clear that up better than I expected (though I guess it wasn't on the first try, going of that cut off). Excadrill really is powerful, that mole practically cleared the entire gauntlet by itself (well, it and Gigalith with some items). Still believe that it could use some nerfs, but I guess it is more bearable with the use of healing items. By the way, do you think that, on a casual playthrough, this is the point where you have to start using EV trained mons ? I know that your pokemon are not EV trained here (except maybe staraptor, because it has alot of HP), but most people usually start talking about EV training their pokemon around this point. Do you think that is usually necessary ? Also, congratulations, there are only two more episodes at most (unless you try to complete the pokedex.....) and you are done (until episode 19 comes along). That happened faster than I expected. Thanks for your work and good luck once again.
  9. How about EV training rooms like the current pokemon rejuvenation version, where you get to battle certain trainers with 6 specific pokemon for each corresponding stat (depending on your choice) ? That would make EV training much easier and would also reduce the time it takes to create a team. I'm sure there is a mod for that, but I think it wouldn't hurt to have that be part of the main game. Also, an exp share for all, at least after Saphira, since the level cap makes overleveling a non-issue and would make grinding take much less time (not to mention that Naganandel's quest would become shorter and become more worthwhile. Giving the exp share for all after Saphira would make completing the pokedex easier, without punishing the players who decided to complete it now, since they will have one advantage in comparison to everyone who hasn't done it yet). Sorry if I am necrobumping.
  10. I think Amaria doesn't use scald or whirpool because they are damaging water type moves, thus they don't work on Shedninja, so it tries to switch out to a counter. Just like the main games, if the AI doesn't have a damaging move against Shedninja, it will switch out to something that does. Only Amaria doesn't have any super effective attack or status moves, so her AI goes for her strongest pokemon and after that, the AI glitches out and tries to switch repeatedly to a non-existent counter. Personally, I dislike the gauntlet because, with everything you have to deal with, at the time I took it on, it felt like you were either forced to make the most powerful team in the game to get through it, or you would have to item spam. The first point doesn't really stick anymore, but for the second point, I dislike the idea of balancing the game around the unlimited item usage of the player, since that mindset leads to absolutely brutal and monotonous sections where you have to spam items, if you want to get through. It's not fun and it turns everything into an item fest, something that the rest of the game usually avoids. Even the next hardest battle didn't feel impossible to win without items. Then again, my team wasn't EV trained, nor did it have any actual doubles synergy, so it was much tougher for me than for other player, like Demice and Azery, who made it look like a joke. I'm just hoping the finale doesn't over-compensate by much more. Also, I don't know if that's true or not, but apparently, if you talk to Julia after you talk to Titania/Amaria the first time you enter the final room, she'll give you a hint towards finding Amaria in the puzzle ( something to do with the gym lights changing color or something if Amaria is present). I wonder if that's true or not, since that would have been helpful when finding her . Regardless, you just reached the final episode already (well, for now). Don't be afraid to rest, you are almost there. Happy Holidays !!
  11. Between you and Azery, Amaria seems to have been humiliated the most out of all the gym leaders in this game. Seriously, what is up with the water type gym leaders and their weakness to Shedninja ? Pre-nerf Valarie from rejuvenation didn't have any counters to it either. It's like the water type is cursed by the existence of the floating deceased bug. Kind of funny. I remember Eustace being really difficult for some reason, since he came right after a double battle and didn't allow you to heal. Did you have any difficulties against him or was that just me ? By the way, maybe it is because of my limited experience, but personally, I find Amaria to be much easier in her double battle than her singles, since her ways of changing the field back are much more limited in comparison to her single battle. She has two whirpool users for both of her battles, but no pokemon with earthquake in her double battle, which means that if you change it once, she can never change it back. Her lead is also on the slow side, so an air balloon ice type with blizzard can easily change the field first turn and then primarina is the only member who becomes a bit tricky to deal with. I'm actually suprised that you didn't just use an air balloon on your Alolan Ninetails to beat her like that, though Shednija was definitely a treat. That is also why I'm suprised by the fact that nearly every youtuber go for the single battle and fail to beat the double battle, despite the fact that I find the later easier than the former (though lack of knownledge on the field effect plays a big part on that). Still wouldn't call her weak though, since she does have a higher power ceiling than others, despite her weaknesses. That's what makes her one of my favourite battles, even if she gets ridiculed by smart players like you and Azery. Speaking of that, what's your favourite battle(s) in this game and what would you like to see from future battles? Once again, keep up the good work and good luck against the next section. Sidenote: A minor nitpick, but I think that wishiwashi and ludicolo have had their levels switched in the description.
  12. Long time since I left a comment here. I'm suprised by the level of detail that you have put in this guide. It has just about everything. Also, I'm suprised that you made it through Titania and Terra so easily (Terra's Quagsire seems really frustrating to beat without roar or a terrain change). Welp, next time is the water gym and then the (I.M.O.) hardest part of the game, so good luck out there. You are gonna need it, I think. All that said, what would you say, from your point of view, are the best and worst designed fights , regardless of team composition or story ? Based on the above, it should be obvious to tell what part I didn't like when I played, but I would like to see what you think. Also, something that's been bothering me. I remember a few videos ago (2 or 3, I think), you mentioned how Taka's Chatot had a special attack overflow. I've seen other people over at reddit mention that too. I'm going to assume that you used the PBS files to determine that, yet when I searched with the PBS files I downloaded, after episode 18 was released, Taka's Chatot had 252 special attack EVs, like normal. Am I missing something, or was this changed between episode 17 and 18 ? Here's the statspread from the PBS files I downloaded : ( CHATOT,83,NORMALIUMZ2,HEATWAVE,NASTYPLOT,BOOMBURST,ENCORE,0,M,0,false,TIMID,31,70,,false,,,4,0,0,252,252,0 ) Anyway, keep up the good work, but don't overwork yourself. Good luck
  13. ....Ow, I just noticed the blood trail in the picture. That's kinda morbid. I haven't been here for too long, and I haven't always agreed, but I wish you all good luck. Take all the time you need, you deserve to finish this however you want (also, don't be afraid to take a break, you deserve that too).
  14. Lycanroc's Z-move can also eliminate All field effects. So, there is that.
  15. I have been watching your walkthrough and I'm really impressed with the amount of work you put in this project. It seems really helpful and up to date. That said, there are a few things I am curious about this part. Are you sure that the field effect reduces water type moves by that much ? I've seen some playthroughs where surf attacks was used against her and, even without rain dance , it still did a decent amount. On the one hand, if it were a debuff by 90%, it would be at like 9 base power, 20,25 with stab,SE and spread damage, which would hardly damage Typhlosion or Darmanitan ( even the Simisear from the random trainer would be taking no damage, at least from the one video I watched). On the other hand, the in game Field effect notes say that water type attacks a modifier of x0.9, which would, to my understanding, translate to a base power of 81, a respectable amount, but low enough to do some damage. Surf does get its power reduced by a modifier of x0,5, according to the notes, but super effective damage means that it doesn't matter, so the above multiplier should still apply since it is a water type attack. To further test that out, I used a random level 33 mold breaker blue stripped Basculin with Aqua Tail against pokemon in pyrous mountain, including sawk and digglett. Even with the terrain, Basculin still one shot everything weak to Aqua Tail and did just a little less than half to Sawk, so I don't think that water type attacks get that big of a damage reduction. Speaking of which, wouldn't it have been better to use rain dance with Meowstic and Trick Room with Bronzong, instead of trying to get lucky with the quick claw ? You do have the Rain Dance TM and anyone who watches the walkthrough while playing the game will likely have it anyway, so you didn't really have to suffer through the quick claw prompt. Thank you anyway, I'm sorry if I sound ungrateful or if I made a dumb mistake, and good luck with the walkthrough.
  16. Sorry If i am necrobumping. After that tournament announcement in reborn, I'm expecting us to have to battle Saphira alongside Charlotte, due to the picture putting them together. It would be a nasty suprise, also it makes sense to have the Final Badge have some kind of defining element. That and it would be appropriatly difficult, since I don't see how Saphira's battle would be able to compete with other battles, though I could be wrong. What do you think ?
  17. I miss the badge boost. While it may feel insignificant in the main seriew games, that small boost really makes a difference when your opponents have EVs during the late game. Without it, having seen other playthroughs on youtube, it feels like frail, fast pokemon are defeated before they can do anything, by pokemon they should outpace (going of their base speed). It also makes me feel like EV training is mandatory to make up for the loss of the badge boost. Also, I wish florinia kept the foongus, since it felt like it was there to counter the once most popular strategy against Julia, which was toxic spikes stacking. I thought it was nice. I definitely don't miss the old sucker punch, life orb etc bugs, or Noel's staraptor.
  18. https://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/32922-pokemon-reborn-walkthrough-episode-17-100-completion/ This may help you. It may not be fully updated, but it is the most in-depth guide that I have found so far. Just remember that it doesn't contain much when it comes to episode 18 content. You could try youtube videos for that on Dai Laughing's channel for episode 18.
  19. Going to agree with Egzample. I really don't want too many over-used (in this game) pokemon in the elite four. It makes the teams feel less unique (and less powerful in some cases). I mean, the field effects are there to make boss battles more unique, so surely they can be used to make a few less powerful pokemon more potent. That said, I understand that not using any overused pokemon is impossible and avoiding them may cause more troubles for the developers, so including them isn't necessary an issue. However, pokemon such as Gardevoir, Klefki, Togekiss and especially Scizor could stand to be reduced, since it feels like almost every other trainer is carrying one late game. Some of them may actually make them weaker ( scizor for example falls to a single fire type attack and is very monotonous, always doing the same thing in each battle). Besides that ramble, anyone have any idea how Saphira will be handled ? Reading her field effect makes it seem like eliminating it is quite easy and her typing leaves a few things to be desired (exploitable STAB without field effect, numerous weaknesses to alot of strong pokemon, like Salamence, Weavile etc and being weak to their own field except for Dragonite). Also wonder whether she will battle in a single or a double battle, since she could easily do either to eliminate the chance of a clean sweep or to have multiple chances sweeping the player. Wonder if she will have a dragonair due to automatic marvel scale or more than one dragonite (like Lance) with different moves to make her scarier.
  20. I can see your point on Anna. We also already have Radomus for the doubles aspect. That said, I heard that Jirachi was such a monster in doubles OU that it ended up getting banned and not Mega Metagross. It's amazing defensive typing, it's great stats for doubles, it's access to Follow Me, Icy Wind and many more support moves, along with serene grace were consindered too great for a support pokemon in DOU. It was used primarily as a partner for Mega Salamence, yes, but it should still be amazing at supporting it's psychic type teammates, especially since it loses it's weakness to dark types (dark type attacks become dual dark/fairy, which turns them neutral against steel/psychic types, though they also get a boost). Only problem is that it lacks power by itself (in comparison to other psychic types) and the terrain boost to Doom Desire is slightly less threatening due to the fast paced nature of the format and because, according to Bulbapedia, it fails and is not redirected like other moves if the targetting pokemon has fainted while there is still an opponent. Don't quote me on that last one, though, I might be misunderstanding. Regardless, Jirachi is still pretty strong and Anna could just use faster psychic types for her team, unlike Radomus, lowering the opponent's speed and/or outspeeding them by sheer stats, while using Jirachi, Gothitelle and something like Oranguru or Bronzong to support her offense. The other elite four could also employ moves such as Fake Out, Feint, maybe Wide Guard and Protect to throw the player off. And grass/bug types do have good mega evolutions(Mega Venusaur and Mega Pinsir), they are just not top tier Doubles threats. Also, I think discussing the possible order of the elite four might be nice, since Amethyst has stated that they will be in a set order, unlike the main games post generation V. That should play a factor to the overall difficulty.
  21. I personally think that all the elite four battles are going to be double battles. The terrains give them enough to go off, their types of choice offer them some of the most powerful mega evolutions for them to use in doubles (mega salamence, mega metagross and mega kangkaskan are all considered to be some of the most powerful mega evolutions for doubles, discounting legendaries. Only grass and/or bug really miss out.) ,doubles are less likely to be brute forced through and are much harder overall. Plus, having the elite four be an all-out double battle section would be unique, since most games use singles for their elite four. The Champion battle might be singles, though. It makes team building for the final section harder, since a moveset for double battles is usually ineffective for singles (wideguard is nearly useless in singles, for example), and it can mirror the actual challenge of the Original Reborn League, which is getting through many battles, alot of them happening in different formats (like singles, doubles and triples), with a single team.
  22. Out of curiosity, what did you guys use during the Gauntlet ? I personally struggled alot, so I want to see how everyone here managed to defeat it. Just in case I want to replay the game at some point.

    Need a Whismur

Alright, I have prepared a paras. Ready when you are. Edit:Nevermind, it keeps giving me a "script is taking too long" message. Will continue trying abit more. Edit 2 : Not working, will try again tomorrow. I'm sorry for the incovenience.

    Need a Whismur

What do you need ? I still have the ghastlies, the cottonees and a few other pokemon such as trapinch, helioptile etc.
  25. I swear, this is the last topic I create where I ask for a trade. In short, I gave away loudred at the sidequest and never got whismur, so now I can't find one. Could anyone please give me one ? I don't care for EVs or IVs, I just need it for the pokedex. Thank you very much.
