"Yes, we were at the lodge. I simply wanted to know if there were any other places of interest in this sprawling city...So are the magical items gifts from our employers?" Edmond glanced around to see if anyone else might be listening in on their conversation. They were near enough to the Psychadelic Pirate, and there had been a decent line near the bouncer earlier. Turning back to solomon, Edmond asked, "Do you by any chance have a secure phone I could use, or know a place where I could get one?"

"Hi Solomon. What have you got in the bag? Theo and I are currently searching for anything that might help us in our upcoming mission.Since you're familiar with the area, do you have any suggestions? Magical artifacts, and interesting things in general?"

I...I thought the fire department had that undercontrol...I hope no one was still in there... As the woman passed, Edmond tried to ask, "What's Kek?" "Violins? What did you do with violins? That is interesting though, as I happen to play a little myself. So you know the places that would sell them?...I don't think I have enough funds currently" Though Edmond asked this question, he continued on towards the Psychadelic Pirate. He didn't have the quantity of money that would be required for such a purchase. Instead he hoped to get some more leads from Solomon or any shady folk who might frequent the club. After the mission was complete, perhaps he could get a violin.

Edmond rubbed his shin, bemused. What...What was that for? The emergency crew seemed to have successfully extinguished the blaze, but there would be no shopping in that place for a while. He had no idea really where to go now. Keeping his tones low, to prevent eavesdropping, Edmond said to the gun, "Our quest is to defend the multiverse from an invasion of things called trespassers. I understand that it sounds crazy, but that is our goal. On a slightly different note, do you know your way around Seattle, and what places might be of interest?" Edmond gestured to Theo after asking his question to the gun. Does the gun have a name, I wonder? "I doubt it--the gun, I mean--knows anything, but I ashed it if it knew its way about Seattle. For now though, I suppose we could return to the Psychadelic Pirate, and see if Solomon knows anything." With that Edmond set off toward the bar.

[IC] Lowlife Chapter 0.9: A heated discussion
Strider replied to Yours Truly's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Darien entered his small dingy apartment. It may have been uncomfortable, musty, and full of trash, but it was home. He had just sat down on the undersized cot, when he recieved a message. "Business? Profitable? Sounds fun!" He muttered this, and yawned. Actually though, he was quite tired. Cafe's weren't usually open this early in the morning, right? He justified his actions to himself, and then lay down for a quick fifteen minute nap. -
Edmond breathed a sigh of genuine relief. Some sort of fire department had arrived, and the situation looked to be mostly under control. Addressing both Theo and the woman who had assisted them, he said, "Thanks. Bullet proof glass can be problematic. Not even sure why they used it...I wonder what happened here." The relief was evident in Edmond's voice. At the woman's odd inflectionless remark, Edmond appeared puzzled. "I suppose? Some people enjoy the sensation of power that comes with breaking things, and it can be good for stress relief..." Not certain how else to respond, Edmond scanned the Stuffer Shack, looking for any way in which he could assist the emergency crew.

"Not helpful!" Edmond muttered. Just some cracks, and the slug is stuck in the glass...Why would they use bullet-proof glass for a convenience store?! He brought the gun up to his shoulder, and fired another shot directly over the previous one, hoping to further weaken the glass. He pulled the trigger, and the shock wave traveled up his arm as the wepon spat out another projectile. Edmond turned around at the sudden roar. A hammer? Horns? He thought he understood what she intended to do. "Hit the door at the weak spot!" Edmond shoots once more at the same spot, and then shouts at the horned woman to aim for that spot with the hammer.

"It was worth a shot." Now is this thing loaded? Edmond gestured for the frantic woman behind the glass to move away. Once she had done so, he pulled the trigger of the gun, intending to shatter the door. Try to shoot the door, and if that doesn't work, try to pry it open.

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

"Oh, uh...I don't think I ever had that." Shelly had given a small start, as she had entirely forgotten about the mechamon. She made a note to berate herself later about her lack of focus. However, now wasn't really the time for that. She turned back to Anthony, a slightly anxious expression visible on her face. "Do you have it? I don't know where it went..." -
"Sorry, but I need that!" Edmond snatched the shotgun from Theo without waiting for any sort of affirmation. Covering his mouth with his shirt, he dashed over to the door of the Stuffer Shack, and smashed the butt of the shotgun against the glass a few times. Edmond tries to break open the doors of the burning building.

"This isn't good." What an understatement. With a growing sense of unease, Edmond surveyed the flames. If they hadn't spread too far, he might be able to get some people out. I can't just run in, since there might not be anyone in there... A second matter, though of much less importance, was the increasing likelihood that he would be unable to purchase anything. Check how far the flames have spread, and whether there seems to be anyone in imminent danger. Also check whether some sort of fire department vehicles are visible in the street.

"Excuse me?" Edmond spun around, first checking to see if it was Theo who was speaking, and then whether an unidentified foe had approached. He saw nothing. Theo was certainly not speaking, and Edmond could see no one else who might be the source of such rudeness. Wait...antogonistic spirit. Huh. Rather ruder than I expected... Turning to Theo, Edmond stated nonchalantly, "Would you hold this for a moment, and tell me if you hear anything?" He gave the shotgun to Theo for a moment, and then took it back. All the while, Edmond continued walking in the direction of the Stuffer Shack.

A block or so behind the woman, Darien finally came to his senses. "Why am I following this person?" he grumbled. With a grunt, he turned around, and began the long traipse back towards his apartment on 52nd street. -
"...I see. Theo, I don't think you have any money on you? I'm going to be returning to the Stuffer Shack where I was earlier. I'm almost out of money, so I thought I'd pick up some more medkits." Edmond, stepped out into the street, and began to walk towards the Stuffer Shack. It didn't really matter much if Theo followed him, but Edmond had wanted to leave the option open.

"Hmm. Well, I suppose we got something. I suppose..." Here he paused. He turned towards the priest who had escorted them into the ritual sacrifice room. "Do you, by any chance, know of any other place that might sell goods of the magical variety? And, did you still want weed, Theo?"

"Thank you. I'll be taking the shotgun now then?" Edmond patiently waited for the woman to fulfill her side of the agreement. I doubt that she'd try to rip me off, seeing that it's simply a shotgun with a spirit in it, and if they wanted to rob me, they could have gone without this whole charade...so, I suppose I don't really have to worry...about them at least.

"700 Nuyen, correct? Here you go..." Edmond handed over the credstick to the woman, to make his purchase. The artifact itself was rather disturbing, but he hoped to be able to find some use for it.

"Alright. I'll buy it. Do you have a credstick scanner or something for the transaction?" Edmond had seen nothing resembling one on his way in, but he had to assume that they kept on somewhere if they were to make sales like this...

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]
Strider replied to Bfroger6's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"You don't know what parents are?" Shelly took a deep breath. This was going to be a bit difficult. She wasn't certain whether Zeta simply didn't know about the concept, or whether she associated them with a different word. Come to think of it, how did she know how to speak? "Let's see...Have you ever heard the words 'Mom' or 'Mother', or 'Dad' or 'Father'? Your parents would be the people who...created you. You were born from them. Most people live with their parents while they grow up, and their parents teach them stuff, like how to walk and...talk. Um. Do you know who taught you how to speak? Do you have any memories of people who maybe did that?" Shelly stopped after she delivered this question, quite certain that she had failed in explaining what a parent was, but still curious about Zeta's origins. -
"One. However, I think I'll make a point of keeping it far away from him. One more quick question before I make a purchase: Are there any other artifacts for sale or trade that would not be of use to a normal person, but might still be of interest to someone well versed in the arts of magic?"

"How dangerous would it be to handle without using it? I'm thinking in terms of storage. Additionally, is there anything else that one should be aware of when using it?" An angry spirit...interesting, to say the least. Might be too dangerous, I suppose... "Does it still retain the components of a regular shotgun? Would it work with shells? Actually, do you have any other artifacts that would require a practitioner of magic to be able to be used?"

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

"I think the trees must have arrived just about when we did, then. It's likely that our arrival and their appearance was tied together...Um...do you live with your parents?" It struck Shelly that she had not heard anyone mentioned as parents, and that Zeta simply lived in the house with her pokemon. The house which they may have unwillingly had a hand in destroying. That was disturbing, but if it was true, the only excuse could be ignorance or the fact that they had been unable to control the situation. -
"Are you quite certain that there is nothing of interest to us? There is a very real chance that we will die on our current task, and anything that might lessen that would be appreciated." Edmond watched, concern apparent on his face. This was the location that was in the leads...right?

"Hello Theo. I presume you are currently on a quest for some form of narcotics? Oh, and magical artifacts? I'm currently searching for magical items too." Edmond glanced over at the alter, and was quite glad to see a goat rather than a human lying disemboweled. Turning to the woman, he stated amiably, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything? If so, should I wait until a later time?"
