  1. Meganium was created in GSC and it was actually decent back then, Could run a bulky Swords Dance set, a Dual Screen set, a Curse set with Light Screen and leech seed,,, and it could pull its weight. Its stats were nice for the bulky GSC meta. Very few pokemon had good coverage moves back then, so Meganium was not sticking out like a sore thumb. Chicorita learned Razor Leaf at level 8! Even tho it could not do shit at the first 2 gyms, it was very tough in general. Problem is, later generations came, new and stronger pokemon appeared, older pokemon became better, new moves were created and almost all pokemon obtained good coverage... well .. Meganium was not included in any of that And it kept going down the drain. And it keeps going... poor thing.
  2. If the pokemon mascot was something like, Charizard (already a popular one. was it too hard to be the mascot also?), the people making fun of poke-hobbyists because it is "for babies pika pika" because of the dumb anime (which i dislike as a whole) would decrease by 15-20%
  3. Rhyperior ... way to destroy a BADASS looking Rhydon.. Also all electric rodents Aand the stupid monkeys
  4. I guess he was making the whole thing way too hard I only saw Wigglytuff once. For like 2 seconds before he got 1-shotted by Magneton's Flash Cannon. All the other 10+ times i was trying to go through his other 5 pokemon I had almost forgotten he had a 6th pokemon. If it was a Snorlax i guess i would have fallen into despair since i was down to my last pokemon on a low hp It was pure luck i guess that i had Magneton last mon standing.
  5. Episode 15 is simply the full pack of all episodes up to 15, all incorporated into one game. In other words episodes are just different pieces of the same game. By playing episode 15 from start to finish, you will play all episodes, but you feel like you have played one game, Now we are waiting for episode 16, which will be just another piece added to the game, kind of like an extension of it. We will be able to use our current save file, to play the next episode by continuing from where we left. It is done in pieces, because the game is huge, and if she wanted to deliver the whole game in lets say one year, she would have to go to a different dimension where time flows x10-15 faster than ours, make it there, and then come back.
  6. but... he didnt have snorlax in my game. he had Exploud / Powerful Staraptor / Mega Loppunny / Porygon 2 / Helioptile / Wigglytuff
  7. Well i hope i will give u some ideas with my case. I have delphox/swellow/magneton/ludicolo/krookodile/glameow for that little bitch i used delphox to survive a high jump kick with its psychic typing, and strike back with psyshock. , then die because requiem is faster, and survives with very little hp. Then all i have to do is follow up with swellow and KO with quick attack. If requiem starts with fake out and not hi jump kick, > soft reset. if i have not made him waste his hyper potions at an earlier pokemon > soft reset. thats how it went. well dunno your team, but you can try and gang him somehow, or else try to catch something that will help u. A ghost maybe
  8. does this new feature also mean that we will not have a seperate save file created everytime we save?
  9. btw caz do you think you will implement the psychologist in the fuuuuture?
  10. I believe its neither, and it just uses reborn pickup table
  11. yeah nice ice beam too bad we are not going to see it so often from enemies maybe yes
  12. So i team up with tristan and im like "niiiice its grinding time" and then his exploud spams boomburst all day erry day killing everything along with myself... : ^) gives me a taste of what im gonna go through when i fight him
  13. As a free gamer, i figure what i want to play and what i don't. If something is not for my general tastes, or i don't want to play it during a certain period of my life, then i will not. Therefore it will not bother me. Games can be the way they want. If a game follows a formula that: 1)i do not like --> i will simply look for another game 2)is overused --> if im up for something like that, i will play it. if im bored of it, i will not. BOTH things happen to me at different periods In both cases, the game itself will not bother me. I might even play it at a different time. OF course, a new and unique concept will always intrigue me more. Even if it does not meet my expectations, it will still have a different feeling, and i appreciate that. For example, Pokemon Snakewood. If you play it for what it is (a troll game), and not expecting some quality masterpiece, you will actually have fun with it.
  14. im at celeste town, i have done everything, every sidequest, defeated gym leader, found all secrets in the graveyard, even found the swimmer's friend and gave the book to that lady, and yet that damn fisherman keeps saying "i need a strong trainer to give him my rod" what else i need to do to get an old rod >.< or is it a good/super rod and i will have to return muuuuch later?
  15. Wow. This scenario follows veery much the key points of a scenario i have written in a notepad in case i ever persuade my lazy ass to learn programming and start my own rom hack / fan game. Tho its been sitting there for 2 years already ... In my case the protagonist is a test subject who manages to run loose, and yeah, my scenario behind pokeballs and controlling is very similar... Im happy to know someone else who actually has a similar approach of pokemon is actually making a game, and i will be rooting for you. Unfortunately i cannot help u with developing though
  16. well torterra is grass/ground and learns a good variety of coverage moves, unlike meganium who cannot even be a good tank because of its type. i would say pick meganium to raise the difficulty, but its not even interesting. it will just force you to add a ground type in your team. but with torterra you dont need to
  17. imo strong pokemon are fine already. i feel that best candidates for mega evos should be weaker pokemon like ledian or corsola (meganium honorable mention) i mean i see the above list and i see stuff like milotic, staraptor, luxray, darmanitan... these things are already damn monsters! how much more OP do they have to be! mega quagsire seems sexy tho. i vouch for it!
  18. Another (i guess) bug is that Nature Power does not become Flamethrower in the volcanic field. It stays as Tri Attack.
  19. Did it, i guess it might. I havent watched the show for about 15 years. I just didnt like it after some point, it was so shallow. Apart from that, i dont think the show should be a source of validity on games.... Supercharge pikachu to hit ground types? ...... aim for the horn .... ? Super ninja bellsrpouts using fighting type moves that OHKO ash's 255 level pikachu that fights on par with a Latios??
  20. shut up and take my money! Also i found a bug from the very beginning of the game that can actually force you to start new game if you didnt save beforehand. Just as you start, and get out of your cabin, you can immediately enter the last room and locate the bomb. Connor will magically be out of the door saying you are in one piece blah blah. Any previous plot will not happen. You cannot go upstairs either because simultaneously the pampour event will trigger but you will not be able to enter ava's door so you are stuck there forever. Obviously i had to start a new game and ignore the bomb until i was told to locate it... Weird it was not reported at "known bugs" i thought it was not only me who was clicking at any suspicious place for hidden items...
  21. yeah it was.. im just saying that removing it would help very much the quest of trying to make the game more fair for the AI, and also raise the general difficulty. it never should have existed anyway. you cannot use it against human players, the AI cannot use it against you either, so its just a pointless unfair advantage only the player vs AI has...
  22. see ? "easily" again. this way of thinking of game freak has made the game easier and easier over the generations. (Gen 4 excluded)
  23. Now that i think about it, Hardy's battle has many things that can make it interesting. STAB Rock Slide is very good in double battles. Carbink can learn Trick Room and most rock types are slow so they would appreciate the reversed priority for some Rock Slide flinches. Oh he can use dual screens too! Or one can always make the field help with their speed problem but that would be the easy way imo. Sandstorm helps their usually low SpDef , among other things... Only problem i can see is most of rocks dual type mons have x4 weaknesses About E4... i think that sticking to a specific type actually hurts the difficulty of the whole thing, and also creating headaches for the ones developing it. I think it would be better if the characters stuck with certain thematic aces of them. For example Benett with Volcarona and (Mega?)Scizor. And then build the rest of the team with varied types to support said aces. We already have Gyms for fights against a single type. why not having something different for E4?
  24. @Commander Speaking of unfair advantages, i never understood why the "shift" battle mode even exists. Balancing teams would be easier if that feature was turned off completely. Every gym leader who has double battle, is harder than those who have single battles. Half of the reason is the absense of the "Shift" mode. (Other half is because of AOE field boosted attacks ). I think if every gym battle (or any battle in general) was double battle would promote strategic play throughout the whole game. And yeah... everything is threatening if you play to its strengths. Noctowl was invaluable at Rejuvenation insane mode, purely because it was sooooo bulky and knew hypnosis and reflect. It created situations for my team to recover from a losing situation.
