Swinub should have evolved already at level 33..? Unless you caught him later. Anyways. You should really train up to level 37-40. There should be rebattleable trainers at the Grand Hall by Shade. (But it may be after shade, so I'm not sure.) Use meowstic to Psyshock Gengar. It should kill or put him in red. Shade should use his potions if you don't kill it. Use tangela to knock off the Banette if possible and finish off with Acrobatics from Emolga if tangela dies. Use infernape vs Doublade. A few flame wheels will kill it.

First of all, are your mons about level 65-70? if not, it would help a lot to train them up. there's a clown in the circus who has rebattleable teams so you can grind there. Maybe at the end of each part of the guide there could be a short summary about all the possible event pokemon, so if people wanted to find the event pokes they could easily just scroll to the bottom of the post instead of having to go through the storyline part of the guide. Or you could even colour-code the different parts of the guide, like RED for storyline, BLUE for gyms, GREEN for event Pokemon and trades, PURPLE for shops/move tutors and YELLOW for sidequests. Just a suggestion

It's a 1% chance for a shiny in Reborn, so sorry to burst your bubble but It's kinda common. But congrats anyways, though. But I do understand your feeling. My starter was shiny, and I was over the moon about it XD

I swear that there is a section in the Item location guide where all the mart sales are listed. I may be wrong though. Also another tip is to check every single rock/barrel/crystal/etc, because most of the goodies in reborn are hidden, like the ability capsule next to the factory, and the black sludge in the wastelands. (just two from off the top of my head)

I have, and it turns out Eviolite Chanseys with Soft-Boiled are cunts slightly annoying. I have a major Psychic weakness too since things like Alakazam can learn Focus Blast to deal with Houndoom. Really tempted to get Sunny Day on Bronzong, but I just don't know what move to replace.

Use honey on trees to make a Heracross/Pinsir appear. Heracross will break the webs and Pinsir will break the logs. It'll take about 200? steps to load them in

Choice items aren't my type. I prefer to be able to vary my moves. Bronzong is really there to soak things up when I'm out of ideas. It did, however, destroy half a team with EQ and Zen Headbutt. Screens are useful, agreed but i feel like it doesn't suit my play style. EDIT: Replaced Giga Drain with Rapid Spin on Tenta. Takes care of three hazards at once

Just started getting into Showdown, made my first team half an hour ago, tried it out three times and apparently it's doing well. I'd still like tips though, as I am still a complete noob in Pokemon competitive. Here's the team that got me 2 wins and 1 rage quit Red Rose the Roserade Cynthia the Garchomp Powerful! the Staraptor Sass the Tentacruel Sprout the Bronzong Hades the Houndoom So yeah, this is the team. Any improvements and/or changes will be appreciated, but I'd prefer to keep the same mons, with different movesets (if possible) Thanks! Edit: fought a team, and an Alakazam just blew me back. Garchomp put up a good fight but I really overestimated Alakazam's defense, as an Earthquake would have killed.

Agreed on Haunter. It looks terrifying, whereas Gengar looks like it ate a few too many McDonalds before evolving. God knows how he levitates. Eviolite Metapod Dragonair is sleek, smooth and very majestic. Love the design. But Dragonite just ruined it for me. Looked too bulky and the wings are just so small and ugly. Don't get me started on the colouring too. Why couldn't Dragonite be serpentine ;-; There's just something about Talonflame that looks bad to me. Maybe it's the red details on its grey fur or how it's legs are meh. Fletchinder looks so much sleeker. Otherwise, I do like Electabuzz, Luxio and Gabite but their final evolutions look good too. How could I forget the only middle evolution with a Mega... Slowbro! Eviolite M-Slowbro is awesome!

You can get Rock Climb by Scolipede's and Scrafty's? movesets, but the badge to let us use it isn't available as of E15

Pulse Swalot was a pain.. I had to just stall out its moves with Bronzong. Heal, Extrasensory, Heal, repeat
