Are there any clues to who could be the current Champion?
-
For some reason I can imagine El ranting about Megas not being 'pure', and destroying you with just a Ditto and an Arceus.
-
Scrafty would help, since i don't see anything to deal with Dark, Psychic and Ghost types, unless you have Crunch Granbull. Even then, STAB is always nice. As far as Ice types go, the ones you can get are Vanillite, Swinub and Cubchoo (at your point in the game). As you already have a couple ground types, I wouldn't suggest Mamoswine. Vanilluxe is well rounded in Attack and SpAttack. However, Beartic learns a larger variety of moves like Priority Aqua Jet and Superpower. You can always change natures later in the game, if you decide to keep Scrafty. It just costs a Heart Scale

Favorite shiny is definitely Unfezant. It's coloured as a Powerful Staraptor

I have a few, here. Also got a spare Tirtouga Fossil. I'll give it a few hundred soft resets Litwick: Druddigon:

Is there any shop in this part of the story that sells rare candies?
wytch_doctr replied to aGoodCabinet's question in On the Hunt
No way to return to Reborn City I'm afraid, until you're done with E15. -
It's a 50/50 chance to be Seel or Cacnea, if i remember correctly. But that egg is definitely not Cacnea's

I dunno about Sceptile as mediocre. It's just a pity that he isn't an Atk type mon, since he learns moves like leaf Blade, Night Slash and X-Scissor. Leaf Storm is powerful though, sweeps things like Blake's Walrein and Fern's Krookodile. Plus the only things I've seen outspeed him are Samson's Mienshao and Hawlucha. Or maybe it's just my biased preferences I guess i'll build up a Flygon and Archeops (without EQ, cause Flygon has that covered) Flygon - EQ, D-Claw, Crunch/Rock Slide, Superpower Archeops - Fly, Knock Off, Rock Slide, D-Claw Edit: Just got Adamant Shiny Archen with at least double digits EVs in every stat.
-
You can't resist them all i guess. Unless you're Eelektross
-
Hey, Gogoat ain't scared of no pokemon. Fire and Poison types? Take an Earthquake. Bug, flying and Ice? Hold this Rock Slide ;P This Goat is stronger than it seems
-
Well, I haven't seen many goats zooming at the speed of Serperiors. Have you?
-
Hehe. Also, on a semi unerlated note, Gogoat seems like a powerful Pokemon. EQ, Aerial Ace, Horn Leech and Milk Drink seems powerful. I mean, if Sceptile decides to die to a random supereffective move I'd still have this Gogoat to back it up. And all these moves WITHOUT BREEDING ^-^ And I completely forgot about Flygon, my favorite Mega Pokemon. EQ, Flamethrower/Crunch (just in case, ok?), D-Claw and Superpower
-
I think I'll go with Knock Off because its easier to obtain it's somewhat more useful. Sure, EQ is great and powerful as all hell but I'm FAR too much of a noob to Chain Breed. Let's just hope Ame is generous with the Tutors *winks*
-
Anime Logic my friend. Ice Beam has 100% freeze chance. Imagine that in the games. Thats funny cause my Mamo is -Spd and +SpDef. I've seen him take hits from Rawrlotte (Charlotte) like a king. Argh. EQ seems to be the best bet. Knock Off can be good in some cases, maybe. Also, if memory serves me right, all the move tutors in Reborn teach Gen VI move tutor moves. That means possibly there will be a tutor for Aqua Tail and Zen Headbutt, both of which can be learned by Archeops.
-
Another thing - ever since Mamoswine learned Earthquake I really had no need for any other ground moves. He lives fire attacks cause of Thick Fat, and he deals the pain. Mamoswine isn't even that slow, even with a -Spd nature. So I'm not exactly sure I need another ground move desperately. Um... Either EQ (if i breed) or I can go to Agate Circus and teach it Iron Tail. It's a pretty strong move for any fairy types that come in my way. (Good enough for Ash's Pikachu, good enough for me)
-
I guess I can live with 90% acc rock slide. I think I'll go for D-Claw for coverage, since i don't think Archeops can live to Endeavor to good use. Heh, 29 speed IV ;P..... but 6 Atk IV. I got a +SpAtk Nature so I can run flamethrower fine. I dunno how but I got 164 Atk EVs on Arcanine, so the two stats are basically the same. I evolved my Growlithe when he got Flamethrower, and to get that ExtremeSpeed. I don't think Ame would give the Starter's Megas. Its just kinda unfair to the players who didn't choose Gen1 or Gen3 Starters. No STAB Dual Chop for me ;-;
-
I guess Swanna isn't that good overall. I wanted to try out a few new things. New Meta and all that. I think ima axe Swanna. The poor bird got no love. And Outrage Arcanine.... (oops) I was a little bit rushed when evolving him. I guess i'm paying the price now. Maybe Dragon Claw Archeops/Aerodactyl would do? And Noivern can put out a mean Dragon Pulse. Dual Chop Sceptile perhaps.
-
How about Fly for Bounce? - More accurate, more powerful too. I can live without a little bit of paralysis. U-Turn seems to be a good move to have at hand too. Plenty of Dark types to kill. Also if a stray psychic type does come up, that would do the job. There's just so much in Archeops' kit that I like. I can't believe I missed it.
-
Huh. I never really considered Archeops to be honest. I thought that defeatist would make it next to unusable. Also, Mega Aerodactyl could be a potential in future. Not a big fan of breeding either, but i'll try it out. Thanks for the tips, though. I guess we won't be getting an Earthquake TM for a very long time, so no Earthquake Aerodactyl. How does EQ, Rock Slide (I don't like Recoil moves, no Head Smash. 80 acc too) Acrobatics and Crunch sound? Or I could swap Acrobatics for Endeavour or Dragon Claw
-
Currently my team lacks a few things. A Dark/Ghost Type, Water Type and a Rock Type. I have an Ice type in Mamoswine but it would be nice to have a stronger move than Ice Shard. (Priority is nice though.) At the moment I have Swanna and Noivern in the team. Swanna was originally my water HM slave but became part of the team during Charlotte as my Rain Dancer. Noivern was raised from level 3 but I rarely use him. And I got Aerodactyl recently in the Powerful Staraptor trade. Here's some movesets (hopefully final) Swanna: Noivern: Aerodactyl: I would say Noivern and Aerodactyl, but then I'd have a huge hole in the water type area. Plus, Swanna's type only has 2 weaknesses. Maybe I could train it up additionally, but I don't like switching team members. It's too much effort to keep them all at the same level.

I swept Noel. Skuntank and Close Combat Arcanine did the job.

you GREATEST thing that happen to you in pokemon reborn
wytch_doctr replied to cappter's topic in Reborn City
1. Kricketune sweeping Flobot - Technician Fury Cutter 2. Also, beating Radomus semi-easily. Sceptile + Skuntank took out reuniclus, and X-Scissored Malamar. 3. One hit killing Blakes Walrein with Leaf Storm. TWICE. mwahahah- 73 replies

King's Rock is an item that causes flinching on contact moves, and is commonly used with Cinccino. And with Cinccino's high speed and Skill Link its supposed to be frustrating
-
This is how the quest goes so far i believe

I guess a duo would be a lot easier to obtain at an earlier level. Also I think it'll be fine to use your starter/other Pokemon to grind up your mono/duo pokemon, as long as they don't participate in any trainer battles. Plus, think of the rewards. 5 Noiverns? RIP Samson.
