  1. First of all, for anyone who enjoys USUM OU there was an RMT recently on this team by the creator. You should totally check it out, this team is a ton of fun and I've really enjoyed playing with it. Second, why do people play stall on the low/middle ladder? Don't you want to climb quickly and have fun T_T. Worst part of it too is the ELO change after the game
  2. Sometimes random battle can be really one sided, and other times you play hella close 40 turn games Also Yveltal is nuts, I feel like it wins 90%+ of the time I see it in randoms
  3. Playing around sucker punch is hands down the most stressfull thing to have to do. Especially against a mega-Mawille
  4. Online username: Mellowslinky Timezone: UTC -5 Availability: Random, but anytime I'm on the forums I'll be up for a battle Rules/field effect: Basically anything, just make sure to ask first
  5. Just pledged! Best of luck with the Patreon
  6. Actually the closest game I've ever had in OU. Came down to last mon and Focus Blast hit chance + sleep turns Battle Factory - Golbat actually just 1v5'd this guys team
  7. I am now firmly in the camp of people who hate Chansey T___T Also it didn't really put it much work here but I've been really enjoying SpA lure D-nite. I've included the set below incase anyone is interested. IV's mean you net the OHKO on Heatran with EQ, Chomp/Lando with Ice-beam and M-scizor with Flamethrower. Flamethrower is a solid 2hit-KO against Ferro. Agility lets you put in some work late game against things like weakened M-diancie or Bisharp
  8. Battle-factory match I'm really proud of. Scarf Thundurus is terrifying and I didn't really have any good switch-ins:
  9. When you actually just win the game on turn 3 unless he crits you T___T
  10. I saw this team on the smog forums the other day and thought I would give it a try. I am now convinced that banded 'tini is the truth
  11. Thanks for that - also I think I was at 40% but maybe I was over. In retrospect I'm not 100% sure about the item path here - I was thinking BT for extra poke damage and survivability against their Udyr but it's entirely possible there were more efficient purchases I could have made after Manamune + Ice Borne. Any recommendations? I've been liking ER for the CDR and mana back in extended sieges and at that point IE or another crit item seems reasonable for that sweet bonus CDR
  12. Ugh wanted to get this off my chest after the game I had last night. Sometimes it can be really frustrating when you lose despite your best efforts to carry - especially because this was one of those "team picks a bad fight post 40-minutes and gets aced" types of losses.
  13. @Anyone else other than Derpy Simon as well if he doesn't like it Hrm... not sure if this is quite right but how about something like this:
  14. Man hearing that makes me feel like such a slacker T__T Main goal for February is to not get so stressed. Both work and extra-curriculars are super busy next month and I really want to try to get through it without freaking out like I usually do
  15. Disclaimer: I'm definitely not an expert here so if anyone knows more than me please correct anything I say that is wrong. Mostly I'm just summarizing info from bulbapedia and other sources. --- Whenever you breed pokemon the IV's of the egg will be determined like this: - 3 IV's inherited from parents at random - 3 IV's not inherited will be randomly generated from (0-31) If one of the parents holds on EV-enhancing item (e.g - power anklet, power bracer, etc...) then the corresponding IV will be inherited from the parent. If both hold an EV-enhancing item however it will only be guarenteed to inherit one of the IV's. If one parent holds a Destiny Knot then 5 IV's will be inherited from the parents at random and the last IV will be random from (0-31). The pokemon that will hatch from the egg is determined by the female pokemon. In order to get an egg the male must be a part of the same egg-group or evolutionary family as the female. If you breed with a ditto then the non-ditto pokemon will determine the type of pokemon. --- So to get your perfect Infernape you will need to breed mutliple generations of Infernapes with progressively better IV's. I've tried to outline the basic steps below for your reference: Generation 0 - Get a female Infernape (either your starter or by breeding with Ditto until you get a female egg). Generation 1 - Breed until you get one perfect IV - parent for Gen2. Make sure to give it the right EV-enhancing item to guarantee that the perfect IV is passed down Generation 2 - Breed until you get two perfect IV's - parent for Gen3. Replace both Male and Female anytime you get one with better IV's since you need both with four perfects eventually Generation 3 - Breed until you get three perfect IV's - parents for Gen4 Generation 4 - Breed until you get four perfect IV's on both Male and Female - parents for Gen5 Generation 5 - Equip one parent with a Destiny Knot and breed until you get five perfect IV's Typically this is where you stop as most mon's only care about 5 IV's (HP, Def, SpDef, Spd, and either Atk or SpA). For Reborn this process is also simplified because we don't care about nature or ability since these can be changed:
  16. Background - I absolutely love the grass starters. My first play-through of any new game I always pick them regardless of how bad they are. With that in mind I would really like to see some buffs to what is probably the most maligned starter out there Now how do we fix this mon? It's current stat line is HP: 80 Attack: 82 Defense: 100 Sp. Atk: 83 Sp. Def: 100 Speed: 80 Which makes it look like the intent was to have this be a mixed wall. However, it doesn't quite carry the bulk to be a true mixed wall and gets out-performed by either physical or special walls with better abilities or other utility (tangrowth, roselia, quiladin, gourgeist). So, in keeping with what I believe to be the design intent of Meganium I propose the following changes: 1. Thick Fat (defensive utility over other tanky grass types) 2. HP 80 -> HP 90 (additional mixed bulkiness) 3. Thunder Wave (further utility - plus with the antenna on its head it seems like something reasonable to add)
  17. LOL seriously I don't understand these people
  18. Shade & Death Parade cross-over anyone :3?
  19. I'm really sad there's no love for my boy Chestnaught This thing is hella tanky - if you pair it with something that can get rid of flying type mons he can put in a lot of work with some really good move options like spikes, leech seed and spiky shield. Then there's also the Belly Drum sets that let him wallbreak like a mofo
  20. Sometimes your opponent doesn't respect Hoopa-U and it effectively 6-0's them:
  21. I bought Tales of Zestiria over Christmas when it was on sale and have been really enjoying it Pros: - The combat system is engaging and really rewards you for mastery - Lots of collectibles and side quests that require you to fight more powerful foes - Good story that actually gets you thinking about more philosophical issues - Playable characters have distinct fighting styles Cons: - Very complicated item fusion system that requires significant grinding to get the most powerful weapons/armor - Story starts out kind of predictable (but imo gets better as you go along) - There's a fusion mechanic for characters in battle and the fused characters all play very same-y. Wouldn't be a huge concern but the fused characters pretty much need to be used in order to make certain fights do-able - Without a lot of fighting you will be under-leveled for a lot of the side quests, although you can always come back and do them later
  22. For me one of the hardest was trying to play through FFX without level grinding - got about as far as the second Seymour fight before finally giving in. I actually have no idea how you can even win that fight shy of being massively over-leveled from where you are supposed to be
  23. One series I've really been enjoying is the "Tales Of" series. I'm super excited for the HD remake of Symphonia to come out on Steam - although not so excited for what that's going to do to my life T__T
  24. 273 on the Pokedex and 105 hours played. I was a bit worried that I was playing a ridiculous amount so glad to see my hours are in-line with other people
