  1. I too must limit my opinion for the sake of time, but here are a few quick ponts I noted: Birds can give you trouble. Rotom W is worn down fairly easily and a lot of pressure is put on that washing machine as is. I'd recommend a fully defensive SR Lando, but that's personal preference. I have some experience with Zard Y, so seeing it without sand is to me a bit of a novelty. This again is personal preference, because I mainly used that Sun/sand team in my heyday on PS main in XY and early Oras. I don't think it has declined in effectiveness to the point where it can't be considered. Scarftar over Terrakion can provide similar coverage, better insurance against birds so you can be more free to use offensive Lando-T, and can provide pursuit utility as well. Metagross, in that event, can be replaced for your standard Ferrothorn in my opinion, which does the job of killing fairies (which are not incinerated or smashed by other members, like M-Diancie) while also providing you with Spikes/SR. Spdef Heatran is another good SR setter who will also reduce pressure from birds. This lets you remove Rocks altogether on Lando-T and go flat out offensive Double Dance or what have you. Or you can always keep defensive Lando-T and go TWave on fwrro for some speed control, letting you run Modest Zard. Once again, personal preference, but Keldeo is a bit of an issue, since your Latios doesn't have recovery and can't keep switching. I don't know why you need HO fire on Latios when you have the most powerful fire type in OU right next to it, but I'd ask you to consider Recover/Roost. Or you can try Starmie instead, which works more efficiently with RS instead of Defog (especially if you run Spikes ferro) and completed a FWG core synergy. All are just my opinions, of course. Take them as you will, and all the best to you. Note that these changes will transform your team from HO-ish to more like Bulky Offenses, but you can't seriously say that you're aiming for HO if you're using fat stuff like AV metagross. Better off with rocks ttar and a Drill, in that case.
  2. While I'm not inclined to turn this into an argument, I must point out that the Talonflame he now has is without Gale Wings. Goodra, if I'm not mistaken, has been released. His Greninja has DT, Aerial Ace, Water Shuriken and...-cut- of all things. That's quite a sorry bunch. Hawlucha is awesome, I'll grant that. His Sinnoh avatar had mons with useable moves on them: BB and CC on Satraotir, Blitz and some fighting move idrr on Infernape, and so on. I'm still inclined to believe he was at his strongest in Sinnoh, especially since he brought old staples like a Sceptile and a Megahorning, CCing Heracross for his league match, but likewise was made to lose to a random guy with a Darkrai because we can never actually have him winning anything. Anyways, why bother when we can agree than BW was horrible.
  3. From a competitive aspect, Gen4 Ash had a PIKWERFLU SATRAOTIR, aside from a Gliscor, Infernape and Torterra. 'Nuff said.
  4. Yep. I among others already pointed that out; which is what I meant by 'many reasons already outlined.' I don't blame you for not scrolling through four full pages of speculation and hodgepodge though; it certainly is trying. At this point we can all stop speculating and just clamour for E16's release!
  5. Galvantula will not be of much OU use, I think, for five reasons: 1. It is rather weak, with a shallow base 97 SpAtk. Even in UU, it is outclassed offensively by Zapdos and Heliolisk. 2. It is very, very frail, and having a Rocks Weakness doesn't add to its viability. Having a unique typing is of no great use to it either. 3. It is fast enough, tyong woth Keldeo and Terrakion, but misses out on the now-crucial base 110 speed tier, and unfortunately does not have other stats high enough to make up for that, even with LO Compoundeyes Thunder being a neat gimmick. 4. Its main niche on Sticky Web is rather a poor strategy in OU, with Bisharp and Defog everywhere. Even so, Shuckle makes a more reliable user of that move, and can hopefully get up SR too. 5. The combination of all the above provide literally no reason to use Galvantula over Thundurus, Mega Manectric, Raikou, Volcarona, or even Yanmega. It will not merit much usage in OU outside of a niche gimmick, I think. As for UU mons that are worthy of OU use, aside from the obvious ones like Gyarados, Chesnaught, Mamoswine, Alakazam, etc. that you have listed, I can say the following are pretty underrated threats: 1. Yanmega: Modest Choice Specs Tinted Lens Air Slash can 2HKO Sdef Skarmory and offensive Heatran. This is not a joke. This is power. A set with Bug Buzz/Air Slash/HP Ice/U-turn can be potent as a wallbreaker and as a scout or offensive pivot. 2. Crawdaunt: Death by Claw. This thing will brutally murderize anything that dares to switch in or commits the simple crime of being slower than it. Allowing it SD is usually also death, unless you can outspeed its priority (looking at you, skill-less Talonflame...) 3. Azelf: Suicide leads ahoy! SR, Taunt, some attacking move, BOOM. No explanation needed, HO (especially birdspam) appreciates this. 3. Mega Sharpedo: Omnomnomnomnomnom. 4. Mega Beedrill: Pair this up with Lord Magnezone and you have one of the most effective and fun-to-use VoltTurn cores in OU. Beedrill is a terror, too, especially if it has Knock Off to remove shed shells. DragMag will appreciate this as well. Other things that I mention but can't be bothered to type about: Mega Ampharos, Infernape, Mienshao, Cobalion, Shaymin and Doublade.
  6. I've been thoroughly enjoying myself today, making all these Shakespeare preferences in your arguments. One can say: "Veni, Vidi and Viri!"

    1. Wendel

      Wendel

Viri pls, I said it better yesterday "Veni, vidi, vici, viri."

  7. Meanwhile, I like how quiet chat is.

  9. If there is an Infernape sitting at a typewriter and it uses Nasty Plot, will it almost surely kill off Cleopatra, Rosalind, Juliet and everyone else in the second line itself?

      Here's what you do

Get two more magnum ute shaped cutters

Shove them together so they form a magniton

Then level up the cutter somewhere with a lot of electricity

Why didn't I think of that?! GERNEUS!

  10. Good to know you, yinyang. Be seeing you around!
  11. You know now. Get back here, Dhan! You don't have any exams now... Not for a while at least.
  12. *mutters angrily* I'm supposed to be doing some bank work. It's a long wait. I'm here. I see you, Dhan.
  13. Breeding mechanics differ in generation 6 and prior to gen6. Up until gen5, egg moves are passed from the father, and TM moves could also be passed. In Gen6, TM moves can no longer be bred, but egg moves can be bred from both parents. The egg moves will arise in order. In your case, the poochyena should get play rough and Ice Fang from the two parents normally, but I think bite is also an egg move so that's the one getting prerogative. Delete the parents' useless moves like sand attack and swagger, and then try again. The poochyena should get both moves.
  14. You called? Idk why you're wasting time on this place at 4:30 in the morning when that's the perfect time to be reading. Weenie, reveal yourself!
  15. I would agree with you about Encore, but the issue here is that few Pokemon get it and fewer still can make competitively viable use of it on their sets. Taunt is much more widespread, being a TM move, and also achieves a similar purpose, though I do not dispute that Encore is better in specific situations. I'll add it as an honourable mention and specify it. Encore should be a TM move, to be frank. Even Torment is a TM, and Encore could certainly be a better TM than dumb ol' Confide.
  16. Sketch. It fits me, and I can then subsequently use it to learn all the other moves I think also suit me: Calm Mind, Flash Cannon, Psychic, Recover, etc etc.
  17. I never watched the anime very much to begin with, and I stopped watching altogether by the end of DPPt. I remember that dolt was actually decent in Sinnoh, with a respectable team of evolved Pokemon (Infernape, Torterra, Gliscor, POWERFUL STARAPTOR, etc), good ol' Brock was still there, and Piplup was hilarious (at least, I remember to have found it hilarious when I was, what, seven years younger?). Anyways, I remember him actually being a competent trainer and having a good enough story and stuff with all the Team Galactic hoopla, and I remember how he technically did beat that League whatever-it-was, but because he can never be shown winning a league and becoming a 'Pokemon Master' in order to continue the story (and keep milking that cash cow of a show they've got going), he was beaten in the last mat h by that chap with a Darkrai and a Latios. I guess I just didn't watch much of the BW series, but I found what little I did watch to be annoying and dumbed down, so I just stopped. I have no idea how XY&Z is, but if it comes close to DPPt competency as a trainer, and if there is a decent plot as you guys say, then yeah, it might be a betterment. Should be better than BW anyways.
  18. I've never heard that Chrysolia is inaccessible after e15. As far as I know and from what I remember, it should be perfectly accessible on the normal way from the Subrailnet puzzlr, which may have to be resolved again. I did do half the side quests only after finishing ep15, including breeding for better Pokemon when there was nothing else to do. I remember going to Chrysolia after ep15 to get a Farfetch'd for the Tyrunt fossil event, and therefore I think I can say that Chrysolia should be perfectly open to you as normal.
  19. I mean, what exactly do you want to achieve? Do you want to go to Spinel town and activate the storyline there? A lot of other events, like Trapinch, won't happen until after that, but some like the Eevee one can happen before depending on the time and windiness of day. If you could tell us exactly what you want in Chrysolia, we can guide you.
  20. Shush about the art thread. I'm not a machine, contrary to popular opinion as that may be. I said May 11th, and May 11th it'll be! You can bet this isn't a taunt, weenie. And I'll thank you for casting aspersion on my hiatuses. I took a hiatus from the art thread on account of exams (which are now over but even so not art for a few days because I have work to do. Boring bank work that will make you fall asleep if I talk about it.)
  21. You don't remember Lion King, Micky!? Shenzi, the female member of the Hyena Trio! Aka Halloween. Because Hyenas are her thing. I see you still, Micky!
  22. Congratulations, sparky! Wish you many more happy years to come.
  23. You have a good point. However, 'Priority' is too wide a class, almost as if saying 'status' or 'debuff' should merit a spot on the list. I do not find any individual priority move common, impactful and widespread enough to put there. Putting all of Recovery itself was a stretch, and I did so only because they're all variants of the same move which have almost exactly the same effect. But this is not true for priority moves, which vary in power, effectiveness, and type. So I can't put any or all of them on that list. They deserve an honourable mention, though; that had been added.
  24. I thought weenie was the Cackling Hyena herself. Reveal yourself, Shenzi!
  25. I agree, and I've already placed Pursuit lower on the list. Taunt is indeed more potent. I just didn't place numbers 6 through 10 in any particular order; they're all important in their own way. But yes, Pursuit is now no.9. The only reason Recover and its variants are placed lower than Pursuit is because they're all technically different moves and therefore each have less-than-ideal distribution. I agree that recovery is more important, but although Pursuit is precision move, with only a relatively few good users, it plays a vital role in the meta in my opinion.
