  1. To everyone, please do feel free to respond to either this thread or the Philosopher's Gazebo. You may respond to this thread for the specific questions provided while you may respond to the Philosopher's Gazebo if you'd want to voice out your opinions regarding topics not mentioned here or if you'd want to express your points widely. Here are my own opinions to the questions:
  2. Philosophy - the rational investigation of questions about existence and knowledge and ethics. Man's questioning and wondering has brought about the existence of philosophy. Humanity has always asked these questions over the centuries: Why do humans exist in this world? Is this action correct or wrong? Most people share different opinions regarding philosophical questions and often times answers remain unclear if they are correct or not. Now, in this AYA Thread, I will be giving 5 different philosophical questions as I'd like to know your opinions and views on existentialism, morality, and other related topics. You may choose to answer a few only (considering that answers to philosophical questions tend to be long), but if you can share your answer to all five, then it'd be gladly appreciated. Here are the questions: 1. What is the objective purpose of life? 2. If sacrificing your life would cause a billion people to live, would you do so? Why or why not? 3. If you had the ability to travel back in time, what historical event would you change/stop? Why or why not (if you don't want to change anything)? 4. Do you think capital punishment is a just action? If yes, why and to whom should it be given? If no, why not? 5. If you had the ability to do so, what human flaw would you remove/change? Why? (i.e removing greed, removing pride, etc) Please do copy and paste the questions, and place your response to a question directly below the specific question. If anyone's interested, I've shared my own opinions about three posts below this post.
  3. I don't think you need to change pokemon as you have Slowbro and Porygon-Z to counter ground types and aside from that, the mainline pokemon games aren't exactly leaning too much on the difficult side, so you probably won't have a hard time dealing with teams. The only problem I actively see is that most of your pokemon are either hard to obtain or are obtainable only mid to late game. How would you go about getting them and what game is it for?
  4. What? How does that work? This just creeps me out.... -15
  5. Technically, four posts have passed since I last did an action, so the count is now 112.
  6. Glenn is mildly shocked as the wind magic that he delivered towards the archer is dodged easily. "I'm at a lost of words. I chose wind magic because I precisely knew that it was the most accurate, but look at how this turned out. This archer managed to dodge my attack; I may be quite reckless after all." Glenn mutters to himself as he continues to look on. "I've got to improve my hitting ability if I want to be an archsage and the one to protect Lady Azura's heart." "If anyone would be willing to take out this archer in my stead, I'd gladly appreciate your help." Glenn says this as he glances at his companions who haven't made their move yet.
  7. "If you could rewrite history ...
... What would you do differently?" - from Radiant Historia

Radiant Historia is my favorite time travelling game of all time. It is a game wherein each important choice you make creates two different branches in history. Most of the time one branch reflects a bad ending while the other branch continues the story, but the very first choice is an exception as it causes a break that later on connects again in the last chapter. This game requires a lot of backtracking in time due to the needs of the current timeline requiring something from the alternate timeline. This might sound tedious, but seeing how things work out in the other timeline makes the experience more enjoyable. Completing the sidequests provides some good incentives also aside from the items and dialogue as it helps you get the best ending for the story. I really loved this game for its concept, characters, and story which has unique twists and unexpected surprises along the way.

I was actually thinking about showcasing this next or soon on my channel! I didn't finish it but I actually was really enjoying this game, and given how much I typically dislike turn-based games, that's saying a lot

@Tartar Among the games you've mentioned, I've only played Chrono Trigger, but I can say that this is a game worth playing. It's gameplay is simple but quite enjoyable; story is amazing; aesthetics are wonderful; sidequests are actually fun to do.

Ï see. I'll add it to the list of games I'll get to play "sometime".

  8. I see. That got me confused there. You didn't give any pretext in your succeeding posts which is why we were confused about it. So, let's continue normally. I can't add or subtract yet due to the rule, so let's proceed using Hycrox's number which is 110
  9. Uh, no. I dislike its bitter taste. Are you a good singer?
  10. @seki108 I think he's stacking the points as I've noticed that it has increased by two every time he posts. @Hycrox The point system asks that you add or subtract by two only every time. Don't stack the values. So, let's just continue with 106 (based from Seki's post)
  11. Milk chocolate is just wonderful!

  12. "I see. It seems that these people who have joined the search party are quite strong, after all." As Glenn says this statement, he glances at the Nun, who was the reason that a part of the forest was vaporized, and Kayde, who literally destroys one of the fighters. He is also impressed by Karlos, who seems to be one to encourage the party, and the man named Gaill, who also did well in dealing with the archer. "Now, who should I attack this time?" Glenn looks around the battlefield carefully, analyzing his options. "I guess I was a little careless in attacking that knight earlier, so I'll just stay at a safe spot and attack that archer by the fence." With Elwind in hand, Glenn moves to F10 and finishes Archer A.
  13. Yeah. More than 4 posted, so I'll go and make a move. -12
  14. Why place Milk first? Who thinks of that? -7
  15. I see. It's a bit sad, but I guess I'll have to make do with code.
  16. “If they can’t make it, we’ll just take this place.” — Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead

Okay, so I don't even know why I like post-apocalyptic/dystopian themes; is that a common thing or am I not normal? Anyway, The Walking Dead is quite possibly my favorite long-running show. I love how they execute the way humans live in a world overrun by zombies. You can really see how a bunch of people work together in order to achieve a better world for themselves even if it's full of the undead. I also liked the plot twists wherein some expected and unexpected betrayals are made in Seasons 2-4 and I also enjoyed the Road to Terminus Arc as the main characters try to meet each other in Terminus, only to find out that they have been betrayed there. I haven't kept up with the latest season, but I'll go watch it once I find a good copy of it.

TWD is a great show :D

  17. I refer to the Reborn Forums for this one. In PC, I do believe you can easily change the color of what you will post in the Forums through the Complete Editor. However, in Mobile, the Editor seems to be incomplete as I've got only the options to bold, italicize, underline, and a few others. Changing the color of text is possible with the use of the [color=] code, but is there a way to make the Editor have the option to easily change the text color without having to use code?
  18. Yes. Travelling to as many countries possible is my biggest dream. So far, I've only been to two other countries outside of my country, so I still have a lot of places to go to. Do you daydream a lot?
  19. Mega Slaking's looking pretty good. Now, if only Regular Slaking didn't have such a bad ability.
  20. Depends on the water present. I especially like clear waters. Have you been to a country outside of your home continent?
  21. Since Gender basis didn't work out, I made a survey to check if we should change this to an Age basis game, and it garnered support. Read on for the new mechanics and take note of the new rules. The game begins with the number 100. Based on your chosen age in the Forums, you will be asked to go up by two points or go down by two points. For those with even numbered ages (ex 14,16,20) , go UP by two points. For those with odd numbered ages (ex 17,19,25) , go DOWN by two points. For those who are secretive about it or don't display their birth year, go UP or DOWN based on the direction CLOSER to 100. Win Conditions: - Even aged people win if the number reaches 200. - Odd aged people win if the number reaches 0. - Not telling wins if the number reaches 100 starting at the 25 turn. (This must be reached by a not telling their age; if reached by an odd/even aged person, this win condition is uncleared and game continues normally) NEW RULE: You may POST MORE THAN ONCE a day, BUT you must wait for 4 different people to post first before posting again. This rule RESETS on the next day, allowing you to post even without clearing the condition. TO START, the count is 102. [As I'm 16]
  22. Oh. So we have 5 Yays then. I'll go have this thread locked by a mod then and create a new topic for this. THIS THREAD IS LOCKED TO FURTHER REPLIES. PLEASE GO THE 'AGE WEIGHING SCALE GAME' WHICH WILL BE POSTED IN A WHILE
  23. I'm gonna replay FE Sacred Stones; this time in Hard Mode. Can anyone recommend good units for the Hard Mode and good supports?

I see. I'll go and try Ephraim's route this time, then.

what inactivity said too. also, ephraim route was much more enjoyable for me than eirika route tbh.

I found that grinding Joshua at the arena on the chapter you get him as a very, very viable strategy. If you can promote him to sword master early on, his critical rate will absolutely annihilate.

Personally I prefer Erika's route, but that's because it doesn't have one level in particular.

  24. Not much. I'm not much of a fan of getting scared. Do you find time to organize your room/house?
