  1. Clawitzer PULSE has been disabled from the labradorra power grid for the time being. It can be reactivated if they tap into another source of power to have the PULSE machine function You talk about this with aster/eclipse after their final doubles battle with you, and a bit more once you reach calcenon city for the first time.
  2. Shelly will get better once the essentials fixes up her illumise so that it opens with prankster rain and stops people burning the field. (also swift swim anorith spamming rock slide for flinchax, enjoy that...eventualy) I actually had a lot more difficulty with randomus this time around, although it was mostly due to trying to start the battle with WoW from delphox, missing, and then having florges use misty terrain. Gallade makes a lot of difference to his team now that its a lot less weak to bug. Samson needs his own field really to be buffed, though he could also use an intimidate scrafty (just so people have to at least swap crobat out at some point of the match from attack drops). His difficulty really depends on whether you train properly for speed EV's though, as his team is quite fast and hard hitting outside hariyama and conkledurr. Essentials might make him harder eventually once the AI realises lucario can get a free SD due to its focus sash. Luna still disappoints me. Tyrannitar NEEDS sand stream so that using sunny day isn't a 100% cop out (It's bad enough EQ changes the field), or give her houndoom with flash fire to make people reconsider using sun. There's just so much potential with the dark type that I feel her team really suffers as is. Mandibuzz would be a menace to face too, and would work nicely with tyrannitar due to the overcoat ability.
  3. Some of your pokemon need a lot more grinding. One option you could try in order to abuse RNG is to make sure serperior has contrary and spam leaf tornado against hitmonlee and medicham who will lose accuracy from the field effect, while you gain it due to contrary. A very quick fix for some of kiki's team would be Sawk, who has counter and can abuse sturdy + counter to KO at least one of her pokemon. Also good for her lucario depending on speed.
  4. I'd like to team up with Shade. It could actually happen too, given that it seems to be tied to the old power plant and the fate of yureyu + shifty devon corp.
  5. I'm not surprised ame hates budew. It really eclipses all other grass types that early in the game unless you're using turtwig. That being said, roserade doesn't learn that much more with TM's in the game compared to lilligant, at least until we start getting some of the more powerful TM's. Nature power is the main reason, as well as toxic spikes. Also it's pretty easy to breed good moves onto roserade early. I got sleep powder on mine before I even got to florinia's gym thanks to those bellsprout and vileplume nearby.
  6. Just saying, I'd avoid scraggy for this fight. Really would be going for a makuhita with thick fat as its ability instead. Serra's evasion means Scrafty will lose 75% of its health for missing HJK on this field, which is highly likely due to brightpowder, snow cloak and screens giving an evasion boost. Hariyama with thick fat and the attack vital throw will ensure at least a few of serra's pokemon will be felled on the field. Really consider magneton, it will make things a lot easier.
  7. I think flash cannon is supposed to not miss no matter what on serra's field. Just a few options for OP that work nicely for this fight -Blastoise (resists ice, learns flash cannon by move tutor) -Zoroark (gains evasion buffs every turn, physically frail team means night slash crits are easy KO's) -Thick fat hariyama (hint; make sure it has vital throw) -Magneton (for obvious reasons) -Donphan (make sure it has sturdy as its ability to break the field regardless) -Pyroar (Can break field with hyper voice, super effective coverage) -Fast pokes with access to nature power (good for serra's slower pokemon) And that's just a small list of things that will help.
  8. This person has been playing reborn for a while, or has access to an earlier episode. It's one of the two. Although given that the big top buffs dragon dance, I have no idea why that person needed other pokemon. A cheri berry would've allowed them to 6-0 ciel with gyarados...
  9. Just to clarify, the glitch still works for episode 15 as well.
  10. If it helps, you could have got them earlier in the underground railnet. there a small chance to be caught there.
  11. Couple of things to add. If you have an ability capsule, consider changing pangoro's ability to scrappy. That way you can hit shade with your normal and fighting moves. Another event that gives you a dark type is the nuzleaf event. You need it to be a windy day. Go through the beryl caves (currently blocked off by rock smash rocks), and proceed through there until you come to a glade where there will be several nuzleaf and a shiftry. You'll have to battle 5 nuzleaf that are about level 20-30, and a level 55 shiftry. Be sure to bring something that can torch the field for that fight, as the shiftry hits very hard. If you got the leaf stone in shelly's gym, you can have a shiftry for your fight against shade.
  12. The dead wife would be correct. In the beryl cemetary, there is a headstone that reads Zina Vanhanen. That part of the storyline still needs resolution as to how his wife passed, or any lead-up before that. There's also a fair bit of speculation Noel and Anna were the kids of Randomus, so it still remains a mystery, though I suspect Chubb's theory to be the most likely.
  13. Psyshock is very useful for Aya though given the high special defence of dragalgae, tentacruel and venusaur. It's worth having the two psychic moves until after they beat Aya, at least. Also given half of kiki's team is neutral to psychic, and the very low defenses of hitmonlee and gallade versus the special defence, I'd still take psyshock myself. In regards to the team, get granbull to level 43 where it will learn play rough, as well as having it with the intimidate ability. Sandslash would be better with sand rush too if possible as the field will allow it to outspeed most of, if not all of kiki's pokemon.
  14. Just saying, but in regards to the leveling before florina, that's still really easy due to the daycare. At that stage of the game, it's pretty easy to walk around for a short time to get the levels required.
  15. Krookodile is pretty good for the part in the game where sandile is available. Nidoqueen/King is very good in general as ground/poison has great coverage as well as the extra power boost from sheer force (you also get flamethrower later which helps with the very few coverage issues it has).
  16. Excellent. Also now that I think of it, Adrienne might need clefable or togekiss on his team for fire type coverage options, otherwise clear body klingklang would get an easy 6-0 sweep...
  17. Whoops. Well I do stand corrected, thanks for reminding me. Still it and florges could pass a few large wishes on the mist field. Shame about the ability in general... >Remembers Shelly's gym battle Crap. Hopefully the AI is fixed by EP 16 so its a challenge that it should be.
  18. Adrienne needs all the special walls he can get, otherwise spamming sludge wave is going to make the fight far too easy to win. Also Considering all the discharge/blizzard spam, it really wouldn't hurt to have a few special walls. Seeing as we're taking guesses for what Adrienne is using... Sylveon, Mega Audino, Whimsicott, Klefki, Florges, Azumarril The mist field, combined with prankster screens and the natural bulk of faeries will make Adrienne immensely difficult to beat. Damaging him under the mist field will prove incredibly difficult, even with sludge wave or such. Meanwhile, xyr can use screens to avoid taking too much damage from sylveon's hyper voices which get amped up to a 1.5 multiplier due to the field. In amongst all that, you'll have to deal with tank boosting sweepers in mega audino (cm), florges (cm again), klefki (possibly CM), and priority sweeps from azumarril and whimsicott (prankster nature power will become a priority, STAB, field boosted moonblast). Additionally, xyr has extra syngery due to abilities. Mega Audino can use its healer ability to constantly restore the health of all faeries potentially remove status even if the field is removed, especially important for BD azumarril. Florges and whimsicott can combine due to symbiosis, so that even if the field is changed to a corrosive mist field, whimsicott could boost with growth and be safe from stat-lowering or poisoning. Basically, changing the field to corrosive mist or removing it altogether will be priority one in this match. No status, very bulky screen boosted defenses and constant healing will drive players insane if they can't get rid of the field while adrienne boosts up and then just curbstomps you.
  19. For Julia, asides from the level range, it should also be noted to gain additional levels on top of that until your pokemon have over 40HP. That way they can avoid the 2HKO from sonicboom through this. This advice might not be valid for the level range, but some pokemon do take their time building up HP so it is worth considering.
  20. I'd say raichu actually. Ampharos may be more bulky, but mono-electric lacks resistances to make the most of it's bulk. Also Raichu can learn grass knot which is handy for ground types which ampharos simply cannot beat. Your movesets leave a lot to be desired though. Use this instead -Nasty Plot -Thunderbolt/Discharge -Grass Knot -Hidden Power (Only if it's ice type)/Thunderwave You get nasty plot from pichu at level 13, thunderwave on pikachu at level 18, and the rest via TM or heartscale. Gives you a quick boost and the ability to power through opposing trainers. thunderwave has good utility so if you don't have hidden power ice, take that instead.
  21. Damn. Well thanks for the replies then. Might end up using baltoy anyways since I find kiki challenging enough, and some extra help VS Aya never goes astray.
  22. So there's a totem pole that reacts to your Ill-fated doll and will give you one of four pokemon, with the bottom of the totem pole being the pokemon you have to capture. As much as it would be cool to have any of those 4 pokemon, given that I chose delphox for this run through, I wouldn't mind using gollett instead of the psychic types, except there seems to be no way to rearrange the totem pole, and as a result, I keep getting Baltoy. It doesn't seem to change based on weather, I know that much Anyone know how to do so? Or am I wasting my time with something that cannot be changed?
  23. Light screen will make life a lot easier. If you have any bugs, spamming struggle bug isn't a half bad idea, especially if you have forretress.
  24. Go to Ms. Craudberry's house. It's the house just below the pokemon centre.
