  1. Charlotte was by far the hardest for me playing through 14/14.1. It took me several goes, and in the end I only got past her due to a questionable decision by the AI to have ninetales use nasty plot when it didn't really need to (and potentially Rotom-H unless it's hidden power was water as opposed to grass) Serra came in a close second because I stupidly rocked up without any status outside of force palm hariyama, and it took me 4 goes to hax out cloyster because SS cloyster at that point is cruel. The rest of her team was way easy for me though outside of cloyster (to be fair I did bring in a boldore and set up sandstorm after abomasnow fainted). Aya, Terra, Luna and Samson all tie for third each requiring 2 goes. Aya I was just stupid against the first time, and made it easier for myself with light clay and light screen from meowstic. Terra I forgot about the glitch field the first time and rage quitted before managing to use air balloons to my advantage (haha to both excadril and claydol). Luna I got massacred by her malamar because escavalier couldn't quite secure the OHKO the first time. Second time T-spikes got me over the line. Samson I just wasn't prepared for the large jump in the level increase from luna to him. Thank god for arcanine because I was sweating when I fell just short of KO'ing hawlucha and finding lucario had a focus sash. Everyone else didn't give me much trouble, though a few were close calls. Also corey can be dealt with quite easy with his field change, as skrelp is way too slow to stop you getting rid of the field effect. His crobat is a nightmare regardless though if it gets to set up.
  2. You can make the fight much easier against his clefable since gengar can learn sludge wave I'm pretty sure. Just grind it up a couple of levels first. It may also help to KO wigglytuff before it can set stealth rock down. An obvious yet helpful tip is to make sure you have something with a higher sp. def stat than its def. stat to send in against porygon-z. Really important you deny the AI its special attack boost as it makes the fight a hell of a lot harder otherwise. A steel type would help, but I'd be using magneton for preference. It will help considerably against a good portion of his team, resisting and KO'ing swellow, wigglytuff and girafaring. Replace meowstic for this match as it's the least helpful. I think it can help against cincinno too, but I'm not sure it that has a fighting move. Make sure magneton has T-wave. Rapidash can torch the field with certain moves as suggested, you'll need a heart scale and go back to the move relearner for it though.
  3. If I were the developer, I'd love to be truly evil and have the main protagonist (i.e our character) die. Yes I am deadly serious I would like to see us killed. It doesn't have to be gruesome or anything, just that we die. To me it makes a great deal of sense seeing as team meteor do not mess around too much and they must be sick of us thwarting all their plans by now. Maybe when we first use fly or something we run into Lin and her hydreigon shoots us out of the sky with a draco meteor or something. Then we wake up in some kind of limbo/afterlife where we walk around battling ghost type pokemon, looking for a way back into the world of the living. We eventually find an exit, only for shade to confront us and demand that we beat him if we wish to return. We then have to fight him on some kind of special afterlife field that changes the types of all our pokemon to have them also be ghost types so that his entire team hits ours for SE damage. The field effect should also damage normal types as it would be a bit too easy to bring a team full of normal types in to bypass the field effect. It would also really put the reborn into pokemon reborn now wouldn't it? Basically its something unlikely to be found in any pokemon game, we would get to see more of shade and his interactions with the world of reborn, and it would fit in with ame making a truly difficult game.
  4. Quickest way I can think of helping you is to replace two of your pokemon with a walrein and bronzong (bronzong needs to have levitate, doesn't matter for walrein). Keep both alakazam and scrafty, everything else is useless against Terra due to her field effect. buy an air balloon for scrafty (this will help when it takes on her excadril). Alakazam is needed to get past nidoking, but don't bother setting up with it. Ideally, you want terra to get to a point where she sends out her claydol. At this point bronzong needs to come in and set up trick room (which you have the tm for and need to teach it). Then send out walrein and kill everything with blizzard. Alternatively, if you have a drapion and a few tanky mons/mons with protect in your PC, when the claydol comes out, send out drapion with air balloon and set up 2 layers of toxic spikes. You can then proceed to use pokemon and items to toxic stall out the rest of her team once nidoking and excadril are slain. Drapion with an air balloon works best to set up T-spikes as claydol cannot do anything to it other than explode. Generally it takes the AI several turns to realise this, as with the air balloon, drapion is immune to everything else claydol has. Hope this helps.
  5. So yeah, I'm going by sound of silence on this forum (I normally just use silence but apparently it was taken. Oh well) I'm doing a 2nd playthrough at the minute. I finished as far as possible on the first one, though It might be worth my while to restart as I only got past Terra with no pokemon over level 70, and god forbid if the next gym leader battle is amaria (even more so if I have to battle underwater). I also want to try again as I suspect a few matches I got by due to the AI making some questionable decisions against me. Have to say, I loved the game. Some of the gym matches and even the meteor battles pushed me to the limit (Especially the marathon of a battle when you fight Aster and Eclipse for the final time). I really appreciated the field effects being able to use and abuse them to add another element of strategy to the pokemon battles. Burning fields, breaking field effects, submerging the battlefield on top of a giant ice mountain, all great stuff really. Hope to offer some advice in return, and hope the next episode isn't far away.
