  1. Episode 16 is just amazing really, and I've barely started it. It's so pretty, and this is from a guy who wouldn't normally use pretty for a description, but its just so beautiful too. Hype train delivers.

  2. The only good thing about work is that Monday is noodle day.

the only good thing about working is the fact that I'm getting paid for it...

The best thing about work is that there shall be coffee.

  3. Hmm I really suck at this sort of thing. My answers would generally be food and computer, except having your eye twitch and back hurt aren't really good things, while food tends to cause me problems due to medical reasons (Not that it actually stops me doing so, but one day I may pay for those choices) If I had to pick less depressing answers, it probably involves napping or just laying down and defocusing. I should probably try meditation because the ability to shut off my mind is a godsend given that I tend to overthink things. Walking also helps (about 1/2 hr does the trick).
  4. Don't see a rank for flabebe's line anywhere so I'll offer up my experiences with it. Flabebe/Floette/Florges Availability: Just after the 7th gym (requires a floral charm to find) Movepool: Above average. Has STAB Moonblast, Wish, 2 different field terrain changing moves and access to Nature Power via TM early. Also gets Grass Knot TM which makes it more useful vs Terra. Difficulty to acquire/Grind: Bad. It's very easy to miss it as there is nothing to suggest you ever need to acquire a floral charm when going through adventurine woods. Additionally being available to capture at level 20 while your team is in the mid 50's makes it a serious pain to grind up. Notable Boss battles where it shines: Luna and Samson make it worth your while due to that lovely STAB moonblast. Can put in some work vs Radomus if you can avoid metagross wailing on you. Has the special defense to at least tank a boosted hit from either Charlotte or blake and set up a more advantageous weather. Extremely useful vs Terra due to either changing her field or using the glitch field to drop a powerful grass knot. Some use vs Ciel due to her noivern and M-altaria. Major selling points wrapped up: Base 150 something Special defense makes it an incredible special tank while having the special attack + Fairy typing to deal good consistent damage combined with wish support make it a great team player. While it's HP and Defense aren't appealing, you do acquire it at a point of the game where getting EV berries and EV training items are in easy supply, so dumping all EV's to HP is not too difficult. Unlike its competition in Clefable, Sylveon and Gardevoir, it is nowhere near as RNG reliant as Clefable is, nor at a point in the game where grinding is majorly infuriating. Sylveon is still outclassed due to a lack of hypervoice and having to soft-reset for wish off the eevee event, while being a better option in terms of a tank compared to gardevoir who needs breeding/set-up turns to get the most out of its typing. Cons: Asides from being stupidly hard to find, Florges does require a shiny stone that you may wish to use on someone else, and is very limited in use against any team heavy in steel, poison or fire types. It can be very disappointing to have it take heavy damage from physical attacks it resists. Overall Rank: B+ or A-. I'm not fussed which it gets, but what it offers should at least put it somwhere in that area despite the competition for the fairy slot.
  5. I really do wonder why I insist on keeping people at acquantance level rather than trying to make actual friendships

  6. Finally ready for episode 16 again...except I have no flying pokemon and swapping pokemon in and out to fly places can get stuffed.

  7. Finally ready for episode 16 again

  8. Did the triple battle in fiore mansion get nerfed or enemy levels lowered? I'm sure it used to be more difficult...

  9. One other thing to mention is that spinel towns gym changes up a fair bit in episode 15 from 14, so saving in it is not recommended when changing versions. I suspect whoever fixes your file will move you away from that troublesome save spot if they can fix it.
  10. At this point I'd be using magnezone as it fairs reasonably well against the final five gyms, even if only due to sturdy t-wave shenanigans. For overall usage, my bias is a bit towards manetric due to the potential synergy in doubles and the importance of speed at this stage of the game. Ampharos is near useless now. The natural bulk means nothing without resists and the amped up field effects + actual competitive movesets from NPC's really ruin its viability late in reborn. Maybe when we get its mega return to it, but it should not be considered at this point. The only exception to this rule is if you're yet to battle Ciel, in which case manetric and magnezone should both be used. Manetric for togekiss and magnezone wherever else it can land a sneaky T-wave or shoot down something with discharge/flash cannon.
  11. Hmm, I thought it was the magnemite line itself being pushed back rather than the key, otherwise we're going to be waiting for quite some time to ever get rotom in future.
  12. I guess another thing about this field is that it looks like an open air field so if Ame wants to buff Titania a bit more, she could have it so that once you step into the arena rain automatically starts (similar to how thunderstorm weather immediately sets in when you go through the orphanage breakout part of the story). Wondering what sort of mega Titania would have though? Scizor seems an obvious choice but I'm sort of leaning towards a Mega-Lucario as a sort of tribute to her Lone wolf nature (Based on the riolu egg event in reborn). Like the idea of the swords dance boost. Offensive skarmory anyone?
  13. Clown Indra is not the hero we want, but the hero we need.

I wonder who Clown Indra really is...

He's very optimistically named, though. Not every clown finds a Vedic deity as a namesake.

  14. Tfw your team you crafted to get through reborn is useless against terra and now you need to regrind in smegging agate city.

You can abuse the AI with Air Balloons. Strap an Air Balloon on an Electric type and Terra will spam Bulldoze against it.

Get Psychics. Delphox + Air Balloon carried me.

Thanks guys. Turns out I had a much easier out because I forgot that florges had 2 different ways to overwrite Terra's field. Well that and some nice T-spike stalling at the end.

  15. Easiest way to cheese the fight is with a sturdy sawk from pyrous mountain that has counter in its movepool. Give it enough HP EV's and counter should be able to one shot garchomp provided the moronic AI doesn't use stone edge. Otherwise I prefer to switch through intimidate 'mons to get it to -6 atk and then stall out with leech seed.
  16. Shade is definitely harder in episode 14, and far more worthwhile to defeat due to a better SPOILER offered. Serra...I would actually say is harder in episode 14 too, despite a lack of SPOILER, certainly offers more a challenge. She's supposed to be even harder in really early episodes due to being a SPOILER, but has been a bit nerfed since then. Charlotte is a hell of a lot harder in earlier iterations, and has been scaled progressively down since episode...12? They are the ones I personally know of from playing episode 14, since I never played earlier episodes.
  17. I'd prefer to have IV increase options available if only to level the playing field for post game PVP battling (heheh, level the playing field, so punny)
  18. Now that I've finished South Parl: The Stick of Truth, I should probably get back to pokemon reborn before the next episode update...

Trust me... you got plenty of time, no point rushing it.

    2. Maelstrom

      Did you platinum it?

  19. The final aster + eclipse double always enrages me due to how incredibly stupid Aya's AI is, so I quite like winning that thanks for reminding me commander. Proudest moment goes to using legit tactics to win against solaris' garchomp on pyrous mountain. 6X intimidate, leech seed and then stall with the tankiest wall you have. No wonder chesnaught is so bloody well hidden and we don't have swampert yet, protect moves on good mons are just so incredible in this game.
  20. I'm thinking shade will be the character we say goodbye to given the use of quotation marks. I think, IIRC shade was meant to be based on Luna's imagination, so perhaps a character comes out saying he used Shade as a way to interact with reborn without revealing his/her/xe's identity or something.
  21. Really don't know how to feel after completing Bioshock: Infinite...

  22. Question I have now is does the thick club item still work with alolan marowak? Because that is a great STAB combo to abuse with its signature item.
