  1. Beating Aya on my second run. My first run of Reborn was a constant uphill battle, which culminated in me being unable to get past Aya. After starting over again, I wiped the floor with Aya using my Meowstic. I felt very accomplished from that, and i've pretty much had the same 6 mons the whole game. They always manage to pull through somehow.
  2. My ace will always be my Flygon Judith. She hits every like a bullet train, has decent speed and can stay on the field for a long time. STAB Earthquakes kill a lot of things in this game.
  3. 1) Didn't beg Fern, he was lucky the cage kept me from curb stomping his team again. 2) Found all policemen 3) Magma 4) Beat Garchomp with Intimidate shenanigans 5) I fought Sirius 6) I defended the downstairs, it was worth seeing connel beamed through a wall. 7) Sided with Radomus 8) Ring was way more important 9) Kept the ring, Blake isn't nothin'. 10) I gave her some vanilla ice cream*I had like 40 of the things* 11) Taka does a lot to help us out, so I fought him.*That and sweet exp*
  4. Kricketune. Useful for about Florinia, and suddenly it can't kill jack diddly. Meowstic. Great for about when you get Ralts. Then I dropped it for that sweet sweet modest Gardevoir.
  5. On the topic of her Jirachi doll. I think she's 'wishing' to her doll for us to get through these things.
  6. outside of the obvious blake and fern. I dislike Bennett simply for being a creep who doesn't know what no means, and his heavily spoiled. I felt legitimately worried for Luna's safety when he kept chasing after her, even after the whole attempted sacrifice thing. I feel like Serra may had spoiled him a lot, and El being all "I can totes get you in the E4 brah" was up his alley. Second place would probably Cal. He's not as blatantly creepy or asshole like Bennett or Fern/Blake. But he still betrayed all of Aphophyll, Got Kiki killed, shattered Victoria, and almost got the island destroyed. Maybe he didn't think STOPPING at killing Kiki's Medicham was good enough? He couldn't just blast the PULSE when we showed up? He could have helped us beat Solaris or something. But instead he waits til the very obviously cruel Solaris murder's Kiki to do something...
  7. Flygon and Gardevoir Flygon EQ's everything to death with her insanely high attack+stab. If all else fails, I do a +6 calm mind set up and sweep everything with Gardevoir
  8. I really disliked fighting with Florinia. I basically had to carry us through the fights til i got Julia. Who pulled a lot more weight.
  9. In my first (incomplete) run Julia - 1 Florinia - 1 Corey - 2 Shelly - 7 Shade - 1 Kiki - 2 Aya - *Couldn't get past her, so I restarted* In my second run Julia -1 Florinia - 1 Corey - 2 Shelly - 1 Shade - 1 Kiki - 1 Aya - 2 Serra - 2 Noel - 1 Radomus - 1 Luna - 1 Samson - 1 Charlotte - 4 Terra - 1 Ciel - 2
  10. Go to the Celestine cascade where Amaria and Titania were, and use waterfall to get down.
  11. I want to say that we'll fight Amaria next, simply because the last time we saw her pokemon, they were lvl 75. And i'm assuming after taking an ubermon to the face, she hasn't been doing much since. Afterwards I'll assume it's Adrienn, because we'd need to go through Reborn to get to the desert anyways. I'm thinking we'd have to use the desert or something to get through to Labradorra, so Titania would be next. After we save Agate, Hardy gives us a battle. Finally Saphira, with her family safe, and the world not in peril. Gives us the battle we've been wanting.
  12. TBH. I never really used field effects to my advantage. Through some dumb luck, I managed to get my mons to power through Multiple gyms. Julia - I only had Monferno and Espurr for her, Flame Wheeled her to death Florinia - Monferno and Flame Wheel+Mach Punch Corey - Meowstic+Psybeam/Psychic Shelly - Flame Wheel and Rock Slide from Vibrava Shade - Luxray's Bite Kiki - The first time I used a field effect and it was on accident, my method was just Psychic spam, it just happened to be boosted Aya - Psychic from Meowstic Serra - Earthquake, nothin but Earthquake(Maybe some Crunch...) Noel - The first time I intentionally take advantage of the field, Flare Blitz baby Radomus - I just used Sword's dance on my Leavanny and spammed X-Scissor Luna - Close Combat all day. Samson - Psychic, a lot of Psychic Charlotte - Earthquake Terra - Surf mainly, but Dragon claw as well. Ciel - Moonblast What i'm trying to say is, you don't need to manipulate fields to win. You can very easily wreck gym leaders with other ways. Of course some of these took a few tries, but that's how I made the method work, I had to see what they did first. If you can use the field, then by all means use the field, every single one is Exploitable in some way. And even then, so long as you know your match ups (Most of my fights I used the best matchup for the job), you can still win, but it may be a clutch to pull off. I understand that Reborn is hard. Half of my team annihilates bug types, and I still have trouble with Bennet, I had only my Flygon to beat Ciel with, but I learned that type advantage doesn't always work. That's why each gym leader(bless the AI...) tries to play with their strengths. Charlotte is difficult because she plays with her field VERY well, while covering her weak spots. But even then you can get around it. Aya does this as well by being pretty much immune to earthquake, an otherwise exploitable strat if it weren't for her field.(Multiple pokemon can get Earthquake by now) Radomus plays with his own, but it can ALSO help you. TL:DR Field effects don't just give them an advantage. They can give you one as well, but you can still muscle your way through despite it.
  13. I soft reset until my Luxray landed a Paralyzing Thunder Fang. After that my Infernape Flare Blitzed it's face off.
  14. After Ciel kind of wiped the floor with me with her stupid Gliscor, I got her down to her Altaria, but it outsped me and I died. My Team: Infernape lvl 75 Flygon lvl 75 Luxray lvl 75 Gardevoir lvl 73 Vaporeon lvl 75 Leavanny lvl 72 Basically all I did was buy some Full heals. Started with Gardevoir and gave it an X-Speed. Afterwards, I spammed Calm mind to +5-6, and after that, spammed Moonblast til she died.
  15. if you beat Solaris on Pyrous Mt. You team up with Julia against Solaris, if you lost to him, you team up with Florinia
  16. I really liked being able to face Solaris on even ground. Now that my Flygon was actually up to par with his Garchomp, I still smacked it into the floor. It felt great being able to stand up to Solaris, considering he probably curbstomped most people on the first playthrough. Although I couldn't help but sigh after fighting Ciel and Taka. They both use the same strategy with Gliscor, and I think even the same movesets.
  17. My MVP for this episode was probably my Luxray Lucia, and my Gardevoir Suzu. Lucia tore through the water treatment plant like it was nobody's business, all leading up to handing Swalot's butt to him on a silver platter with some help from Flygon. Once I got a feel for Ciel's team. I gave Suzu a X Speed, and set up a +5-6 calm mind on her togekiss, and swept through her whole team with moonblast. I had a major scare at her Noivern though, because it outsped Suzu, and landed a NICE Boomburst. Thankfully all the defense helped her live, and I killed it with Moonblast.
  18. I just want another opportunity to bash Fern's pokemon again.
  19. If your weather is sunny, you can also buy the berry ice cream which heals for about as much as a ultra potion.
  20. I did essentially the same thing as the guy above me, but with an Meowstic. With less X defs.
  21. I do admire their tenacity despite being beaten into the floor by the protagonist.(Save for a certain event...) Or how things seem to be falling apart recently towards the end of the most recent episode, where Meteor members seem to loathe having to fight you again.
  22. Ah. I kept the subseed on my serperior in hopes of getting leftovers. I don't intend to go back to previous episodes, so i'll make due with what i can get now. I normally just kept Meowstic around as a tank and give my mons enough to time to set up for sweep. I'll grab Heavy slam and Curse for Gigalith. I was thinking Scrafty as well. Although I can't quite remember how to get the set up you're talking about. Thank you for the advice. It's very helpful.
