  1. I learned that close combat doesn't work as well on Noel as Flare Blitz did. So I spammed Flare Blitz and lighted em up.
  2. I agree that Serra was the hardest gym leader for me. I went into her fight with a fully trained Adamant Infernape, and he got KOed easily be her FREAKIN AVALUGG(The second thing she threw out). A fire/fighting type got served by an ice type gym leader. Serra's team is a monster. I would smack it on the head with a Close combat that was boosted by black belt, iron fist, and STAB, and it would barely take half hp. One avalanche and my Infernape died. I still think Serra was no joke. The only gym leader I couldn't auto-win against with my infernape's insane amounts of physical power.
  3. Okay sooo... after a relatively smooth run so far. I've run into a brick wall, and it's name is Charlotte. Infernape lvl 70 Adamant/Iron Fist Black Belt(Charcoal) - Flare Blitz - Acrobatics - Close Combat - Rock Smash Leavanny lvl 67 Adamant/Chlorophyll SilverPowder - Leaf Blade - X-Scissor - Swords Dance - Cut Vaporeon lvl 69 Rash/Hydration N/A - Rain Dance - Surf - Aurora Beam - Acid Armor Flygon lvl 70 Lonely/Levitate N/A - Earthquake - Dig - Dragon Claw - Rock Slide Luxray lvl 65 Lonely/Intimidate Silk Cloth - Spark - Strength - Crunch - Flash Gardevoir lvl 69 Modest/Synchronize N/A - Psychic - Moonblast - Calm Mind - Magical Leaf I thought my Flygon and Vaporeon would wipe the floor with her team. Unfortunately Vaporeon typically kills Flygon by using Surf, or Flygon dies before he can get off an Earthquake due to Energy Ball. Infernape doesn't hit anything hardenough(Even with STAB+Iron Fist+Black Belt Close combat...)

    TM Earthquake

The answer is get a Flygon. It learns Earthquake and Bulldoze naturally.
  5. I would have to say that my Flygon, Judith, and my Luxray, Lucia were the only things that helped me get this far. Judith basically soloed all of Aya(The gym leader that forced me to restart my first playthrough) by spamming dig. And was that final push I needed to beat Solaris' Garchomp. Lucia had a penchant for always being rng screwed. Arceus help her if she was confused or paralyzed. Her time to shine came in the form of Solaris' Garchomp. I devised a strategy to bait out the earthquake then switch to Judith who had levitate. So I could stack the intimidates on it. And finish it with a baby doll eyes. And Lucia being the awesome thing she was, face tanked the remaining 30+ PP worth of moves Solaris crammed into her face until it was forced to struggle, where Judith finished the rest. Lucia has since been a very powerful party member. She was also my first shiny in reborn!
  6. How do I mine again. I vaguely remember a guy below the grand stairway talking about it. But I can't remember. Nevermind, I found the mining dude.
  7. I'm having trouble with Aya and her Sludge Wave shennanigans [Vulpix] | [45] [None] [Dought] [Lax] - Will-O-Wisp (Only reason I could beat Kiki/Victoria...) - Hex - Extrasensory - Flamethrower [Luxray] | [46] [None] [Guts] [Careful] - Thunder Fang - Roar - Spark - Crunch [sharpedo] | [32] [None] [speed Boost] [Adamant] - Slash - Aqua Jet - Assurance - Ice Fang [Chestnaught] | [45] [None] [Overgrow] [Rash] - Spiky Shield - Rock Smash - Seed Bomb - Rollout [Noibat] | [42] [None] [infiltrator] [Lax] - Shadow Ball - Air Cutter - Tailwind - Cut [Hariyama] | [46] [None] [sheer Force] [Quirky] - Strength - Knock Off (Screw Fern's Leftovers) - Close Combat - Vital Throw I got a lvl 17 klink... In hindsight I should've trained him more. This has been the only gym I can't Brute my way through, because my MVPS (Hari and Vulpix) Either don't do damage, or die to quickly. 14 super potions, 9 antidotes, 2 Parlyz Heal, 1 revive, 10 common candy.
