  1. Ok yeah I think that event becomes inaccesible after Saphira destroys the mountain base because I reverted to a save I made right before PULSE Abra and now theyre there. Welp guess that answers that
  2. Alright so I'm working on a new game and so far I just beat Noel and met with Saphira, but before fighting the douchebag in Adventurine Woods I want to get myself an Archen, and I searched the forum to see if the Spinel town event for those fossils still existed and found no clear answer. I'm inclined to conclude that the event still exists but I have no idea how to trigger it if it does. Any help? Can I get the Plume fossil in Spinel still or do I have to wait till Agate?
  3. Shade actually addresses the other two predicted deaths later. This is much much later though
  4. As much as I love the concept of field effects, some of the boosts given to a rather wide range of attacks are just way too high. Like, most of the field effects give boosts equivalent to equipping a Choice item, that's completely insane. I also think some of the interactions between field effects could be simplified so it's not as convoluted and easier to remember (for example, why tf does the rainbow field even exist? Rain Dance should just trigger rainy weather even when used in the super heated field imo)
  5. Ehh, I've always been of the thought that any parent/family relations in Reborn were strictly based on their irl relationships (Corey and Heather, Amaria and Titania, etc.). So that being said unless I missed something and Shade actually was Noel and Anna's father then I don't think this theory is likely.
  6. Clefable memes on both Samson and Ciel so if you're struggling with either of them just head straight to the bell ringer and get yourself a Clef
  7. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Solve-The-15-Puzzle/ This helps a lot for the Turtwig puzzle. In my plight to get one with decent IVs I pretty much have this damn puzzle committed to memory
  8. florinia and titania

  9. Welp the OP already won but I'll say an easy way to beat Ciel anyway. In Agate Circus you get a Clefairy through the hammer ring bell thingy (save and give it a few tries) at level 30 which isnt too bad to train up, all you need before evolving it is for it to learn Moonblast (lvl 46 I believe), Minimize, Stored Power, and either Cosmic Power via level up or Calm Mind if you're a real OG and still have that TM from when Radomus used to give it out. If you somehow don't have a Moon stone by now I believe you can mine for some in Ametrine Mountain. Train it to around level 70 (not too hard with the shard clown being available to grind with) and proceed to set up all over Ciel's Noivern and sweep the rest of her team. Altaria ain't got shit for a well trained Clef.
  10. Keiji Fujiwara is all I hear in Solaris' character. The two are a match made in hell for sure. Nobuyuki Hiyama could probably do a good Fern as well
  11. Is it just me or did anyone else find the re-match with Solaris really anti-climactic? First of all, you fight him in a double battle with some other random from Team Meteor, which just made zero sense to me, why can't we just fight him alone like we did on Mt. Pyrous? And he doesn't even get paired up with anyone worth a damn like Sirius (that would have actually made some sense), it's literally just a generic Meteor grunt. And by this point in the game Solaris is much weaker than you, making the fight really disappointing overall, I was expecting Solaris to be the strongest opponent we've fought so far. The fact that we just got done fighting a Garchomp stronger than his (Terra's) doesn't help at all. I get that by this point in the game we know there's someone higher up on the food chain than Solaris, but let's be real, we know very little about Lin so far and her screen time is basically non-existent so it's really hard to give a damn about her as a villain right now. Lin is like the Emperor from Star Wars and Solaris is like Darth Vader. Lin outranks and (probably) is stronger than Solaris but she's mostly behind the scenes while Solaris is the guy causing shit to hit the fan on the front lines, and is therefore the antagonist that the player is more intimidated by and at the same time intrigued by, at least from my point of view. It would have been pretty upsetting to have had Luke go in there at the end of Episode VI and just kick Vader's dick in from the start along with some random Imperial commander after everything we knew about and had seen from Vader wouldn't it? That's kind of how I saw this battle with Solaris in Episode 15. Solaris is imo one of the more interesting characters in Reborn, and ever since I first battled Solaris on Mt. Pyrous and got my ass beat I've been looking forward to the eventual, climactic rematch with this ruthless yet oddly sophisticated, Giovanni-like villain in which I would be his equal in strength, and that battle was only the beginning of the buildup of this character as we kept seeing him in the game after that, which ultimately amounted to this curb-stomp double battle. I guess the most upsetting thing is that there were better opportunities earlier in the game to have had this re-match with Solaris and it would have been so much better, the one that stands out to me the most was when we fought Blake in Ametrine and Solaris just takes off with him in the chopper. Why couldn't we have fought Solaris there and then right after defeating Blake? It's specifically mentioned that he was there and he had plenty of reason by then to try and kick your ass again, and he'd be much closer to you in terms of level at that point in the game and would have presented a legitimate challenge. Fighting Solaris at Ametrine wouldn't have been any harder than some of the other bullshit Amethyst has put us through tbh. Finally, this isn't me trying to call out Ame on what I think was a mistake or screaming for some kind of change in the game, what's done is done and Reborn is still an amazing game (thanks based Ame), but I just had to vent about this because I'm a Solaris fan.
  12. Ame why ;____; my heart stopped upon seeing that lol
  13. "This TM contains the move Bullshit, it creates a field of bullshit that slows down Pokemon when they step in it"
  14. Alright so I came across a thread on Relic Castle specifically about having main series Pokemon characters in fan games, and I think my post there is both better articulated and can apply to this thread as well regarding why I'm opposed to that idea, especially for Reborn. "I'm a bit of a purist on this one, I really don't like GF characters being used in fan games simply because it has never been done well enough or with a good enough reason to justify it, and it really just implies a lack of creative capacity that you have to fill in your fan game with existing characters rather than your own. The whole point of playing a fan game is to experience someone other than Game Freak's perspective of what a world with Pokemon could look and feel like and what kind of people and characters would exist in that world and how they would behave. Including existing characters compromises that experience to an extent. It mostly just comes out as jarring and cheesy, more or less depending on which characters you use and what your world is like overall. This applies especially for main series Game Freak Pokemon characters since they are all too often just walking cardboard archetypes that depend heavily on interacting with their environment rather than other characters to add substance from a story-telling perspective. So the only way for their inclusion to not feel jarring in any way is to make the exact kind of setting that Game Freak would make to fit Game Freak's characters, in which case, why are we playing your game instead of Game Freak's? At that point it is not a fan game, but interactive fan fiction. I'm certain people will disagree with me on this point and of course that's fine but it's something I feel rather strongly about when it comes to Pokemon fan games because this factor has anchored down several fan games out there from being otherwise decent, at least from my perspective."
  15. Recently came back to this and polished it quite a bit. Now if only I were better about coming up with names
  16. Just get ahold of a PULSE machine and make sure you bring 2 friends with you [:
  17. I'm not too crazy about having main series characters in Reborn as anything more than cameos like in Terra Land with the TPP reference (which was hilarious). Part of the reason Zeta/Omicron are atrocious (imo) fan games is the really cheesy addition and implementation of some main series characters.
  18. Wow he actually beat Charlotte with Mono-Bug. I salute you sir
  19. POWERFUL STARAPTOR I'm sorry I had to
  20. Right before he encounters the Garchomp theres another amusing moment with Beatdown and Archer when Victoria is expressing her crush on Cal [:
  21. I beat Charlotte on my first time without having to make any changes, although I did get really lucky. Corey, on the other hand, sucked to deal with, probably lost a good 3 times before winning
  22. Nothing compares to PK's reaction to Cain (think that happens around 13:30) even though he hardly started that LP before he stopped uploading (a shame cuz it would have been AMAZING). Other than that and what has already been said, Shofu vs Serra was also hilarious
