Even after hearing Takeshi's words, one or two minutes passed before Dexter, who was busy thinking, moved at all.

Takeshi standing in the same place without moving, staying transformed, and hitting the Beast as it escaped made Dexter come up with a very dark explanation for his behavior. Because of that, the blonde guy figured he was better off not asking him anything, even though the previous fight raised so many questions in his head.
"Astros...?" he said, realizing that the mediator could have likely helped him. He made a contract with Astros, and that was the only important thing he could have done in his life from that moment onwards. It had to be his destiny; while going to school and getting a "normal" job wasn't.
Waiting for a response that he probably wouldn't receive, Dexter whispered "Sorry" - as in his opinion, he could have contributed more in that fight - and got ready to leave that area. Aside from seeing Astros, he could have returned home for at least one more time or try to find some answers to his questionings. But, this time around, he'd have done that alone.
