Essentials bug, actually. It's not Jan's fault. Same thing happened in Reborn. There are a few scattered around the region, but the vendor is your best bet.

Paralysis and Toxic poison are your best bets. Regular poison too, but it takes longer. Hitting it with physical attacks would be best.

Really? How did I miss that? Probably because I've only ever seen her with Salamence. I feel stupid now, whoops. I think I'm more scared of her now that I know she's a flying trainer then I was when I thought she was dragon. Skarmory, Talonflame, Megamence... Any other possible threats I'm missing?

Technically, yes. It would require you to get an Electrizer, which I believe can only be obtained by catching the elekid in the wetlands, and praying that it's holding one. If you manage to get one, find a link heart and use it.
