  1. It had been a while since I was last here and seeing the seed update and stuff to the field effects I thought I'd see all the details and changes to the old fields but the official field effect section just has a basic explanation and no details like it used to. Does anyone know where all that info can be found now? It was insanely handy.

I think it's been removed, so that people would use the field effect app more in Episode 16. I'm pretty sure that there is a text file in previous episodes like E15 which contain the information you seek

  2. Yay, it's finally here, figures it'd show up when I'm in the middle of my Sun run. Though I still have to do ep 15 since that came out while I was 'catching 'em all' and stuff in Alpha Sapphire. Still, looks awesome. Can't wait to see what horrors I'll have to endure in this one.
  3. Looks pretty cool, just hope it comes out before Sun and Moon so I don't have to wait until I'm done with that to play this. But man my Clefable will love this field since it has Moonblast, cosmic power, and meteor mash and my mawile pokemon catcher should be tanky enough to handle the legendaries.
  4. Still not sure whether to get Sun or Moon. I mean I'm kinda drawn to moon but I don't like Lycanroc's Midnight form and since I'll likely get both Rowlett and Bounsweet a rock type would be super handy since it covers all of grass's weaknesses except poison. Might be tolerable if I name it Gwar, Slayer or something metal.

The issue with version exclusives. Must happen every generation.

Sorry, the ones I named were revealed by official videos by Nintendo so I figured those ones were fine to mention.

i'm pretty split as well, luckily my friend an i agreed to get opposite games so i will probably just get whatever he doesn't, lol.

  5. Most of the Alolan forms have been based on Gen 1 mon. So I'll stick with those for now. It'd be neat to see a fire/rock or just plain fire type geodude or onix line. A Poison-type Lickitung could be interesting, as would a hula jynx or medicham variation but since they have that dancing bird I doubt it'd happen. I'd love to see something done with Bellossom and/or Lilligant but I'm not sure how they'd change it besides maybe adding fairy-type on. A plain Bug type paras/parasect without the parasitic mushrooms could be cool too.
  6. I had planned on waiting to see more of the version exclusives before pre-ordering Sun or Moon but after successfully building my first computer I decided to treat myself and just said heck with exclusives and risked it with Team Moon.

You can always trade online. :)

  7. To be honest I'm kind of a Genwunner when it comes to the Spyro series. I was in my young formative years of 8-12 when the original PS1 games came out and I loved them, got 100% complete in them. They are some of my favorite games but when the PS2 ones came around I ended up judging them by the original trilogy and was disappointed a bit. When the Legend of Spyro reboot series came out I got through the first game and it was fun and enjoyable but didn't think it as good as the old ones. I got stuck on the second one and kinda gave up on the series. I mean I probably ought to give skylanders a try but I'm not super keen on the whole toy based dlc. It looks so freakin expensive. I consider myself still somewhat of a Newbie when it comes to Pokemon (even though I have a near full pokedex in AS). Seeing as I was first drawn into it by twitch Plays Pokemon. The lateness is partly due to my parents being a bit poor and not able to afford handheld systems, and I was hardcore Digimon. My first games were Zeta and Reborn but Alpha Sapphire just blew me away with all the graphics, moving pokemon, and so many minigames, fun stuff in it that I got kinda spoiled. I tend to shy away from pre-gen 5 a bit due to being used to unlimited TMs and some of my favorite mon were introduced there and later. I'd been planning on checking out the Gen 4 games due to the ds/3ds compatibility but when digital R/B/Y came out I kinda shied away from them partly due to the gameboy graphics and only having 151 mon. Though maybe also because I was still working on AS and I'd seen quite a few Red, red variation TPP runs but still, could be a bit more open to the pre-DS gens. Though recently a friend gave me his copies of SoulSilver, Platinum, Black 1+2, and X+Y so I'll definitely be playing those soon but probably not before Sun/Moon.
  8. I've only played Zeta and Reborn. I've held off on playing insurgence because I didn't want to start another game, get super attached to another group of mon and then have to wait for ages before I can properly finish it. I don't like having too many going at once. Also I spent nearly a year catching, training, breeding a living dex in Alpha Sapphire and basically doing nearly everything you could possibly do in that game. I plan on holding off on playing anymore so I don't get burned out on pokemon before Sun/Moon come out. It depends if I get the pokemon itch though. But fortunately Is till have Episode 15 to do and by that time 16 will probably be out.
  9. I wonder what'll happen for those of us who finished the quest already. I got my ducklett but I already had a water and a flying mon so it ended up as a very expensive box mon.
  10. A while ago I probably would have said Pikachu and the Vanilluxe line. Vanilluxe because of design and Pikachu because of mascot-itis and the ORAS voice. Though thanks to Reborn I'm fonder of Vanilluxe because of its stats and freeze-dry, he'll so useful at the water gym. With Pikachu, vanilla pikachu is still obnoxious but certain variations like Detective Pikachu and Rockerchu from the anime made me hate the species less. But I'd probably get rid of Aromatisse and maybe Pignite and Emboar. I like Pignite and Emboar but I think these lines could have been so much more. Like Spritzee could have evolved into a flamingo or tropical bird mon rather than a weird vegas dancer looking thing and Emboar line could have been a huge cool Fire/ground Warthog mon with a ridge of fire going down its back or something. Also I'd drop Cherrim's normal look and have its Sunny Day form be its regular form.
  11. Fired up my Reborn file for the first time since I've officially finished up with Alpha Sapphire. It's kinda weird going back to 2d sprites but it has a rugged charm to it. I still have episode 15 to do but I'll wait until 16 comes out since the pokefever hasn't flared up again yet.

Also, just by changing my Beautifly's nature from Careful to Timid she could very well be coming out of retirement. It helps that I also Ev trained her.

  12. First you'd have to do the side quest to free the daycare couple. Since Growlithe is in the Field egg group, which is massive, just find any mammal looking pokemon of the opposite gender and stick them in the daycare. Then all you got to do is wander around until they lay the egg.
  13. I still kinda wish there was an in-game way to switch to a 2nd or 3rd save slot like there were in the gameboy pokemon games.
  14. I'd say all of the above plus follower pokemon, more side quests/missions, and letting Nidoqueen/Nidorina breed.
  15. Yeah, they might have had a chance if it had been a third Kalos game. If the pattern of odd Gens having at least over 100 new mon continues Ame and the rest of the team are going to be in a world pain. And not only with the spriting but figuring out where to stick them in the game so they don't break everything. Though they could always decide to keep this a Gen 6 game. Either way good luck, can't wait for the next episodes.
  16. I first encountered shinies in my Pokemon Zeta run but every single one was already owned by a trainer, grunt, or gym leader. That game got so troll-ish at times. My first ever one I caught, which was in reborn, was a Swadloon. In official games it was a Kecleon in Alpha Sapphire. I got really lucky in AS but mainly since I somehow caught two shiny Petilil almost back to back in a Mirage Island. Though the funny thing I was so excited about the first that I somehow didn't notice I had gotten a second until much later. Love those two to bits.
  17. Oh my gosh, Petilil in PokeAmie is so freakin' adorable with its cute little sounds. I never thought they could make it even cuter than it was but they did it. Can't believe it took me this long to play around with one in it.

  18. Looks like I'm the odd one out since my first was Pokemon Zeta. I'd always been anti-pokemon and pro-digimon until I got caught up in Twitch Plays Pokemon. After watching Red, Crystal, and half of their Emerald playthroughs and got the itch to play one myself but couldn't justify buying a 3ds yet. I heard good things about Zeta and had a blast. A little while after that I got itchy again and played Reborn here. My first official one was Alpha Sapphire. I've been having a ball with it, despite a few annoying flaws, like random wild mon and trainers being harder than Admins Matt and Shelly. Could it really have hurt to give them a tentacool or something? Still it was tons fun making all sorts of stories and scenes with my mon. Though catching, breeding, and training enough mon for a living dex was a bit dull at times.
  19. I know Ame said that she wasn't planning on it but if you did side with the Police in a raid on 7th street I imagine you'd get access to Police stores, supplies, TMs and such to replace it. Seeing the Dragon's Den field makes me tempted to train another fairy mon. Though I might be fine since my Camerupt gets a mad boost from the field and I have a good Clefable, Noiverne, and Outrage Arcanine. Also I can't wait to see all the new animations in action.
  20. Magmar and Magmortar even normally they look a bit goofy but the pink shinies just doesn't suit them at all. Also the Gothi line, another one that is only two shades from the original and with Gothita the only difference is they eyes. Machamp, Fearow, marowak, and Stantler are other mon that just look awful in green.
  21. I love the new relationship points system. It'll make it feel like you're actually affecting people. Hopefully the different point levels will unlock different versions of dialogue. I can't wait to be able to play the game in its completed form. It's going to be practically a whole new game with all these changes. Waiting for episodes takes away so much momentum. I still wish we had multiple save slots so we wouldn't have to rename, move the old files in order to keep them.
  22. I have so many good ones from my Alpha Sapphire game since I named all the mon i caught, hatched in my effort to catch them all. In it I named all my numel, camerupt after volcanoes, all my machop and tyrogue line mon after WWE wrestlers and kung-fu movie actors, and all my petilil, flowery mon after flowers. Here's a few of my faves: Rocky Rhodes the vanilluxe Rembrandt the Smeargle Duke Poochum the Poochyena Randy Orton the Seviper Fiesta Time! the Ludicolo Vesuvius the Camerupt Zorua the Kecleon Peyton Digby/Deleeleewoop the Kricketunes Lil Wayne the Scraggy John Hammond the Tyrunt Goku the Infernape
  23. Name: Frisk Class: Youngster Pokemon: munchlax or snorlax, duskull or dusclops, carvanha or sharpedo, magnemite or magneton, Sunflora Starting Dialogue: *Knowing one day the rattata will get the cheese, you are filled with Determination If Beats Trainer: Stay determined, (Player's name). If Loses to Trainer: You are the future of humans and pokemon
  24. Another trick you could use in game is fishing for muks, grimers in reborn city. They have like a 1% or 5% chance of having nuggets. Lead with a mon that has frisk and then switch to a mon that has covet or some other thieving move. Sometimes they'll have sticky hold so you have to catch them but using a couple pokeballs is worth getting a nugget. I suggest doing it in Peridot ward in front of the fisherman or name rater's house. The grimers there are weak enough to just need pokeballs. It can be long and tedious but this way you don't have to worry about your mon getting too close to the level cap and things like that. A meowth/persian with payday could be very useful too.
  25. I'm thinking for my 2nd run of Reborn, which I'll do once it is 100% complete, I might just switch the regular and shiny sprites. Whichich would essentially make it a 99% shiny rate.

once you get the shiny charm it'd funnily decrease your chance of encountering shinies.
